He's telling Dan that he doesn't want to "out" them.... that Dan needs to work on Jerry. He's making Dan promise that if ever Memphis is on the block, that Dan will vote for him. Dan's explaining that the reason he left him alone last night is because he didn't want it to seem like it was a done deal, because he knows it's hard for Memphis.
