Camper Posted July 9, 2006 Share Posted July 9, 2006 I am watching BB/AU on WMP and BB/USA on RP at the same time. I can mute WMP to listen to what is happening in RP. However, I cannot mute RP and listen to what is going on in WMP. The only way to listen to WMP without hearing them both is to exit RP. If anyone else is doing this and having the same problem, here is the answer I got from RP tech support... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for contacting RealNetworks Customer Support. I understand that you need information on how RealPlayer volume control works. RealPlayer volume control uses the Windows Wave output component. Whenever the volume is reduced in RealPlayer, it reduces the Wave output of Windows volume control. Winamp need this Wave output to play its contents. That is the reason whenever you reduce the volume in RealPlayer, it reduces the entire computer volume and affects other applications using sound. This is by design. Hope this information helps. beckyphry Posted July 9, 2006 Share Posted July 9, 2006 I just contacted Real Player, but I was wondering if anyone else is having problems with choppy audio on the feeds? Yesterday and today the audio on my feeds cuts out for about half a second, every few seconds. It's incredibly annoying. Should I re-install real player? Any ideas? ETA: I just followed the directions from Depeche221 on the top of page 19 and so far, so good! Thanks! I probably should've read back a few pages before posting! I have been using McAffee spyware, antivirus security center for awhile now and I do like it for the most part. However last year I wasn't using McAfee and I didn't have any issues. Well I'm going to uninstall and see what happens. I uninstalled and now my feeds are not constantly disconnecting . So I'm thinking about installing AVG and Scan Spyware for the Big Brother season. Depeche221 Posted July 11, 2006 Share Posted July 11, 2006 Haven't heard the ocean, but Mon evening I was watching and for about 30 seconds I got what sounded like a radio ad for some used car place. I could still hear the BB sound, but it was like when you start switching stations on the radio and you pick up the ghost stuff in between strong stations. sunny Posted July 12, 2006 Share Posted July 12, 2006 I have been listening to the feeds for days now with the audio skipping and getting so low that I could hardly hear anything being said. I did what Dep said to do and now it is loud and clear with NO skips. I also changed the time to 12 hours. Thx so much for your help. I was getting so frustrated and planned to call RealPlayer tomorrow. Now I don't have to. Those of you having problems should really try it. It isn't hard and it works. I posted something stating that I wished they would show pictures from past seasons or do something else besides just fire when they knew the feeds were gonna be down for a long time.... And now we get trivia. Maybe folks at CBS are reading the boards and listening to the fans? Music that changes and isn't on a loop. "Elevator music" would be good, just as long as it doesn't loop. If they're going to do trivia, the questions should be harder and they should change, instead of looping. It might be cool to do "fun facts" instead of trivia questions, i.e. stuff that most people wouldn't know (i.e. Architect So-and-so designed the Big Brother house). This is semi-interesting stuff that we don't already know. A picture slide show would be cool, too. They could have a picture slide show WITH fun facts over top of them. Boy, am I thinking. Wease Posted July 14, 2006 Share Posted July 14, 2006 I am having problems connecting to my feeds. I have Super pass and I am on the 14 day trial. I am only 8 days into it. My feeds timed out a little while ago and now trying to reconnect it wont let me. Says I have network problems. Anyone else having this problem. What do I do to fix it.
