Ragan expresses exactly what I was thinking about this whole brouhaha. Jeff's messed up views are a reflection of our society. I hope he (and we) can take this as an opportunity to learn what the heck we are so afraid of when it comes to gay teachers. Many Americans who are opposed to gays being around children have the misguided notion that gay = perversion = pedophilia. I would not want my children to learn about homosexuality in a childrens book,so I would not buy it for them to read or to have it read to them. I feel that its the parents job to decide what they want their children to know about sexuality, not the school system, not books, and not the public. However Jeff does feel about the subject is how Jeff feels, if I judged everyone that made rude and stupid comments about any number of things I would not have family members or many friends. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and has the right to feel how they want to feel. I don't try to make people see my point chances are you are not going to change their mind anyway. Jeff probably should not have made the comments but he did so hate him if you want thats fine I choose to look at it for what it was a STUPID commment. I don't think he is a bad evil person!couldn't have said it better, it was a stupid comment and I bet he will be surprised when he gets outta there that it caused sooo much rukus,lol, I have several really good friends that we have different opinions but am I gonna drop them as friends, nooo, but if I tried to change what they think by telling them they are full of it on on and on they would sure drop me, to each his own,, there are plenty of good things about jeff to keep me watchin him and liking him for that matter. Paaaleeaasssee, I couldn't stand Ragen in his season so would not give a rats a&& what he says. It is PC run-a-muck. You would be labeling half the people in the US as homophobic for thinking that childrens books are not the right place to put in a gay character. Jeff probably has many gay friends he cares about and for people to try to ruin his reputation and career is just wrong. But I am sure it is fun for people to keep posting it over and over and over for the rest of the BB Season trying to ruin Morty's for the the majority of us. I think the most offensive part of his comment was when he said it would be "perverted" for Dumbledorf to be written as a gay character, and that he shouldn't be left in charge of children. I'm not caring what Chima or Ragan think about anything and neither would anybody I know; from either aforementioned group. Chima and Ragan. Really.It's a no biggie comment for me but then, I don't watch reality TV to school myself to the PC world in which we live. Jeff being obnoxious doesn't make me like him less it just makes me aware that he (like so many of us) can be less than he should be from time to time. I'm liking the pace thus far.P.S.
