America's Choice Results In James Returning

I keep reading that people are pissed because James was voted out fair and square and all that crap, but the fact is so was Alex... James was just the newer of the two voted out... I can understand people feeling cheated because they voted and it turned out that their vote didn't mean a thing, but to me it's no different than all the voting last season when Eric didn't even try to do what the popular vote was... Same concept... We took the time to vote, but our votes didn't mean a danm thing... This is of course my opinion...

Yana America was led to believe that if we voted for an evicted house guest that our vote would count. James was not one of the choices.

Our votes were just null and void. That was wrong.

you know, someone pointed out in a thread i started elsewhere about trying out for the show again, that next season they will probably more than likely try and find houseguests to outdo THESE HG's. i think that will be hard to do considering this group of skanks pretty much have pushed the envelope as far as it can go for network television. with that said, since MANY people are concerned with the way the show is going, why don't you tryout and if you are chosen, make a point to be the most upstanding citizen in the house and bring some dignity back to the game and the house! i'm serious, strength in numbers here! prove to the people that you can play the game w/o being so dirty that the public needs to run out and get a shot or take a shower after watching the show with the filth the contestants display!

anyone with me?

I'm glad James is back. This comp would have been done long ago if Alex had come back in. Don't get me wrong. I voted for Alex...over and over and over again... but James adds more drama. Technically, neither he nor James should have had a chance to come back in, but they both had a fair shot, and ultimately the HGs decided. What can you do?

a good group of HG is what the show desperately needs, JulyMoon. Unfortunately i fear that they'll be filtered out and we'll get a similar pile of crap thrown at us as next season.

and yana... to your point, Alex AND Amanda were voted out. As a couple. Much like Jen AND Parker were voted out. People quite possibly (depending on whose word you take) took the fall because of their partners. James was voted out on his own after a week of singles gameplay. It's not like AP- when it came to the votes and such, even if Eric mailed it in, he had no vote, America's vote got executed. It left him F'ed over in situations, but america's vote DID count and affect the game. This whole week of build up downspiraled into a big "F you" to the fans of BB

and Elle, I would argue that Alex did NOT have a fair shot. They weren't voting between Alex and James, they were voting between James and (Alex/Allison/Amanda/Jen/Jacob/Parker) they had no clue hwo'd they get with the mystery box. James was effectively going up against a crap shoot, which i imagine many HG thought of as the worst case scenario

Sorry most of you are pissed, but I'm not. I'm so glad Alex wasn't put back in the house. What a snooze-fest that would have been. I much prefer James in there over Alex. I was really glad when that happened, but I know i'm in the minority!

its still worth a try though. Allison and Robin say they can see past the fake people, but i beg to differ! wouldn't it be a gas if the people they chose for the show were all their stereotypes but when the cameras started rolling the people were nothing like their typecast?

yeah yeah i know, even if those people were to make the show BB would still manage to skank it up even more! i hate it that i turned 21 so late to only be caught up in the mess Big Brother currently is! as much as i still want to live out this goal its not worth the ridicule of the boards and public!

This was a genius move on BB's part...it totally throws off the HG...you spend a week plotting, then you backstab another HG, and BAM they get put back in the game.

Changes the dynamic and adds tension...isn't that what makes a game interesting?

I still haven't heard back from the producers about my idea of introducing a surprise player...a pack of rabid pitbulls...chlorine gas. I think it would be a fantastic twist, and help them live up to their motto, "Expect the unexpected"

This is hilarious, I think this is the best thing to happen this season. I haven't seen so many people riled up! This is going to make this season interesting on these boards.

Sorry everyone...... I guess I am just not that invested in anyone in the house so I don't feel ripped off at all.

The producer sure has America talking...... might help the ratings! ( The houseguests sure haven't!)

This is a joke right?? Now I have to watch more of James & skank in bed, YUCK. I feel sorry for the families of some of these people - how embarassing.

I don't think CBS intended the houseguest voted out tonight to be returning.

I think they counted on both Ryan and Sharon's votes because they had the possibility of someone they know returning, plus all the enemies the evictee had made to vote for the mystery box.

Natalie was also a very unpredictable vote (although as soon as she stepped into the room i thought about it and knew she'd vote for James cause the mystery box could contain another girl, Jen or Allison, who would just be more competition in her quest to be Matty's wife one day) and I don't think the producers were counting on it.

James coming back wasn't favourable for CBS as it just makes this week exactly like last week, makes America feel cheated and will most likely hurt their ratings. Granted, James does get to come back and avenge himself, but when all the viewers are invested in a new houseguest coming in and stirring the pot, seeing a repeat of last week is a very disappointing outcome.

Anyway, the reason I came on here.....does anyone know what would've happened if it was a 4-4 tie? (Stupid Natalie and her insecurities!)

I don't think it was unfair.

It was up to the HG. They had to choose between the devil you know and the devil you don't.

They made their own choice.

It would have been unfair if America decided and they just sent Alex back in there.

Bottom line. America isn't in the house. And We aren't the ones doing the scheming, lying and plotting.

This way the HG themselves made the choice.

I think a lot of people are just PO because they wanted James gone.

I don't have a problem with James. In some ways he is very likable. I wouldn't want my daughter anywhere near him...but he is likable. I don't think he was the HG I would've voted out. I said originally that Alex was boring. I know everyone thought he was hot, hot, hot...but at my age the only thing hot is a good night's sleep and a cup of coffee.

I am disappointed. I agree with those saying why bother with us voting - it meant nothing. Just a way to get money from those texting in a vote (was texting an option? I don't know for sure) and I also think it stinks that it basically nullified Ryans entire HOH. He did his part and nominated people, created a huge line in the sand, and BB thinks it is fun to mess with that. When they said how the twist would work I pretty much figured James would be back.

I really wish Allison Grodner was gone.

The houseguest had no idea who was in the mystery box. It could have been Allison. I think the majority voted James because of that. Who can take Allison at all??? She sucked!!!! I think they would take james any day over Allison.

I am glad that this happened. BB needed us to vote for our favorite to give the houseguests the option of choosing what they wanted. I don't think the fans would have been happy to have BB choose the houseguest for them. This way it would sweeten the pot for the houseguests. I am glad Alex did not come back because it would have been the Matt, Alex and Ryan show and god knows it would not have been interesting.

Now that the players voted James back in, they have no one to blame but themselves if all hell breaks loose. Which I am sure it will.

By the way, did you hear Matt refer to himself as the King? If Alex was there it would have been unbearable. No one would be able to move around in that house due to the big heads!

( I've been a long time lurker, but after last nights episode, safe to say a lot of "us" will be coming out of the woodwork! :animated_shocking: )

I just wanted to point out one thing ...

Did anyone find it weird last night (correct me if I'm wrong) when all of the evicted houseguests were standing in front of the BB house waiting to find out who would be "returning". Julie first adressed Jen on her thoughts of seeing Allison and not Ryan with her and then she addressed Allison (which we couldn't see her repsonse, instead just her Matts voice) about updating her on the latest with her ex-partner. I immediately thought this was weird for the simple fact that since all the houseguest had been sequestered from eachother, they were not up to date with the latest events. I would have thought that Julie would have taken a moment to let them all know that if they returned they would be playing at singles. Or do you think that they were already told that they would while in sequester since only one had the chance of going back?

I'm not salty, I just feel that this "twist" came last minute and at the hands of producers who wanted to see the show continue in a certain way as opposed to the other. I feel like this is BB6 and the friendship alliance (J/C J/S) all over again!
