GingerSnaps
They'll never hear when they are called to the DR. They won't know to get up out of the chair when they've been evicted. I won't elaborate on the disaster of the post eviction interview with Julie who's challenged herself.
JFetch
Honestly, I wish all networks would be a little more experimental with their subchannels. Like HBO having one to just rotate original series nonstop instead of peppering in random episodes on random nights. I agree with that, and also believe the networks could have subchannels that do the same thing. For example NBC could have a channel that just shows prime time shows like The Office and Heroes, while also having one that shows older shows. The sales of DVD sets should give them the hint that people want to watch their shows. These would only be available to cable and satellite subscribers so it won't cost them a fortune to do. northeast
LOL...Ginger you crack me up, (mentally pictured Julie all stressed) seriously tho I was assuming the deaf player would have to be a good lip reader and depend upon others to repeat what BB said over the intercom. Yana
That's the show on the island with all the couples splitting up and going with other males/females. I watched that a few years back...it wasn't bad but it disappeared. No Ginger that was Tempation Island... Pardise Hotel is the one that the put an equal number of female and male guests and then each week they would pick a new partner to spend time with all the while the one that didn't get picked had to leave... It would rotate between the males and the females and came down to two people in the end one a male and one a female... That's the first show Toni was ever on... GingerSnaps
I see your point, but I have a question for you. Would a deaf person who is also mute be considered the ultimate floater if they made it to F2?
northeast
probably the answer would be yes..... if during a competition they gave up being able to compete in 5 HOH competitons.......
Depeche221
Let's face it, Showtime is HBO's bitch. Sadly, Showtime is probably even Cinemax's bitch. So being that BBAD is on Showtime TWO, it would make more sense for them to have BB on 24/7 live, with the annoying promos for the series on the main Showtime. I've had Showtime package for years (due to Charter's scam of raising your bill if you get rid of channels) and this is honestly the first time I've watched the network more than the rare once a week for a random movie. So BBAD could be a godsend for that network, especially now that they're rolling out series fairly comparable to HBO's. Sorry, but at this point in TV Land, Showtime definately has the better shows. HBO used to be willing to take a chance, but now, everything looks the same and NOTHING is edgy. They still try to repackage and replay Real Sex and just tack on a new number to the end 43, 44, 45....it';s still Real Sex from the mid 90's Showtime on the other hand is and has been creating fantastic shows that aren't necessarily mainstream hits, but things that attract and KEEP viewers. HBO is about how many awards they can win, but when their one or 2 series end, they have nothing to back it up. Showtime on the other hand has been consistent with great, edgy, audience pleasing fare for years now. It is just that now people are starting to realize it. Back in the 80's I remember "Brothers". It was an edgy show on Showtime and everyone was shocked that it was on, but Showtime back then was more like Cinemax.....soft core porn. But in 2000. Showtime made a bold move and started "Queer As Folk". It was a hit and showed them that they could create interesting, different, thought provoking stuff that didn;t cater to mainstream and actually build a fan base. It wasn't about how many Emmys they could win, it was about quality shows. And currently, Showtime is winning. Weeds, Californication, The L Word, Brotherhood. Dexter/.... All amazing shows and All shows that I watch. HBO? I still watch Entourage and Real Time, but other than that?....... Dep
rodh
I would like to see it broadcast at different hours on Showtime so they wouldn't always be eating or playing dumb-ass games...also I would like to see EVERYTHING including Diary Rooms...so we can at least see the slant that the producers are putting on the CBS show. Who does it hurt to give us an all-access pass??

kingwilson
I've been thinking about this, and what I would love to see is BOTH. Summer Big Brother on CBS. With the optional Big Brother: AD coverage on Showtime if they would still like to carry the program in the summer. Fall/Winter Big Brother on Showtime. You can even call it "Big Brother: After Dark" and show the episodes after 10 pm. Ideally, the Showtime people toss a bag full of money at Alison and she moves onto the more "adult" uncensored version. You know she's just dying to sleaze it up a little bit. Perhaps change the type of model she's looking for to guarantee some shock value ratings, if you know what I mean. Afterwards, CBS would bring in someone from the British team to produce the US version. The rules would shift a bit towards the international version, at least in regards to transparency and such. Best of both worlds. Watch Showtime to see the hamsters screw, watch CBS to see the hamsters think. Everyone is happy, there's a show for everyone. brainshart
Aw, man, Temptation Island was GREAT! I loved that show. An even better one Fox should have never canceled was Murder In Small Town X. Anybody see that? The winner actually died in the Twin Towers collapses. Catniptoy
We do get that Reality t.v. channel. It actually shows some decent shows, including that gameshow "Solitary," which I like a lot. Showtime is my favorite pay television channel, because of Dexter. It's one of my top ten shows. Love it!! If the feeds were still available and CBS didn't televise the actual BB show any longer, I would still get to see the show if it was on Showtime (as long as Dexter is on Showtime, I will have Showtime). However, if I didn't have Dexter to watch, I'd probably dump Showtime and just watch the feeds, and maybe watch the t.v. show online. There are so many options for watching t.v. online, such as Youtube, that I'd probably miss very little. I'd love to see the DR entries! It would be worth getting Showtime just for BB if they showed us the DR entries once a week, or something like that.
racyblond
i love watching the live feeds but wish something could be done about all the foth. i was thinking that bb should institute fines for singing ( I believe players do this purpously(sp?) to annoy.) If players knew it would cost them, maybe they would knock it off.

kingwilson
I switched from HBO to Showtime prior to the start of this season. There really was no hard decision there. I went from having countless shows I loved on HBO (Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Deadwood, Carnivale) to only one I can even watch, which is Big Love. And I'm sorry, in this INTERNET age it's too easy to find online if you only like one show ;o) Showtime seems to have better movie choices, I've loved Weeds since it came out, and Californication is starting out good. With many other shows on that channel to catch up with, I'm enjoying it right now.
1realitymom
OH, ME!! I LOVED Murder in Small Town X. Such a cool concept, I was quite irked that it was cancelled. I, too, only have Showtime for Dexter. LOVE that show!!
chatterbox
I don't know about you guys, but with kids to raise, tuition to pay, food on the table and sports to play, I DON"T want the main show on either HBO or Showtime. I am frugal and have no time to watch the 100 extra channels you can ADD on to the basic service for a FEE. For those of us without the extra money burning a whole in our pocket, leave it on CBS and let us read more/see more on the internet.
erinjs
I loved Murder In Small Town X, it was on during Survivor Season 2 (sad how I remember that). Canada doesn't get the showtime channel, so I'm screwed with BBAD. But we do get the shows (I get them through my movie channels). LOVE Dexter, the books are even better. I just got Season 1 for my birthday.
