  1. Another week, another twist... It appears that love is all around the Big Brother house this week. Yesterday Orlaith was given a "Love Buzzer" with orders to spread the love everytime it buzzed, while today a game of pass the parcel had the group hugging and kissing each other under BB's orders. And this week's nominations are all about love, rather than hate. Each housemate must nominate the two housemates they want to SAVE from the public vote. The two or more with the least votes will be up for eviction this week. Should be very interesting - especially as the HMs are far more hatable than likeable! And I'm sure some of them will think it's a con and the most popular HMs will face eviction.
  2. He's made them count, he's made them cry, but today Saturday Challenge just saw Big Brother wanting to scare them. It's Nightmare at Elstree (Studios). Each HM must enter the Diary Room of Doom and remain their as long as possible while Big Brother tries to frighten them. Each HM is hooked up to a heart monitor, a buzzer (to quit) and an "electric" helmet in the darkened diary room - with a bucket suspended above their head. Smoke and various objects will then be pumped into the diary room of doom, including "bats" and other creatures designed to scare them. BB will also try to make the HMs feel vulnerable by asking them questions such as "On a scale of one to ten, how pathetic are you?" and "When was the last time you wet yourself". Each HM has a target of ten minutes, with a combined total of 45 minutes winning the HMs a party! UPDATE: Well the HMs braved the diary room of doom and won themselves a party. Now this is just a rumour that's been flying around for a week, but could this lead to "Operation Kidnap". The latest twist would see one HM who entered the bedroom during the party (perhaps to use the toilet) locked in - and only able to watch the others enjoy themselves. BB could even pull the screen down and perhaps do something further - I'm convinced there is something behind the dodgy full length 3D mirror in the bedroom - and compare to old plans, it links up exactly with last year's Bedsit.
  3. The clip on Mortys was the first time I've seen an evictee interviewed on the Early Show - and so much more is dealt with. Michael's interview on BB6 when evicted completely washed over the issues that lead to him being there, but these were dealt with well, and illustrated with appropriate clips, in the shorter Early Show interview. Another question about the main interview - did Michael only had a goodbye message from Kayser? From memory I don't recall any further messages.
  4. Just an idea, but how about throwing in a further twist to the pairs scenario. If the Head of Household puts a "secret pair" together on the chopping block and the nominations stay intact until the eviction (i.e. unchanged by Veto), the HoH is say back in the running for the $1m prize / $250,000 runner-up prize. It would really encourage them to begin outing each pair! And to make it even more devious, only the HoH is informed of the twist each week! ANOTHER IDEA If you read my posts regularly you'll know that I'd love to see a twist where the HoH could become the evictee. So maybe this could be a one-off twist next week after Julie reveals each HM has a partner. Julie would tell the new HoH that this week they must nominate a pair of houseguests they suspect are a "secret pair". However, if the HoH makes a wrong judgement and the ORIGINAL nominees are not a secret pair, the HoH will be evicted!
  5. Anybody still there? Yes. Then I'll continue... With 50.25% of the vote the eighth person to be evicted from the Big Brother house is... SCIENCE! It was close - very close. Science got 50.25%, Orlaith got 49.75%. All the other HMs - except for Orlaith - wanted Science to go, and despite Orlaith being the early favourite to leave, Science had been tipped to go since Wednesdays night show. A clip just before lines closed of Orlaith saying she was 95% sure she was staying almost certainly led to more people voting her out (I think this is what she wanted!) - but when the lines closed and votes were counted, it was Science to get the boot. Most surprisingly though was he hardly got any boos - he easily got the best reception from the crowd so far. He also allowed Davina to speak in the interview, which was pretty good with Science knowing exactly what he's like, but not apologising for his character. Quote of the evening - his description of Eugene: "If I'm Science, he's technology" And congratulations to Orlaith. You wait six years for a latecomer to survive an eviction vote - then Orlaith does it twice on the trot!
  6. Can anyone happen what happened with BB3 - were their hints in the interviews an evictee would return? I don't think they would want to risk sending Michael back in with Eric, so it'll probably only happen if Eric is one of the first few evictees.
  7. Cheese - E4 will be screening Big Brother 6 USA once our series finishes (on Aug 12). It you can't wait, www.bb6world.com offers episodes, as do the usual binary/torrent sites. Mortys TV are the best for clips though - many sites start out offering them but from past experience, Mortys TV is the only one to continue them throughout the series. They do cover all the competitions and the main twists and incidents.
  8. Well this week Science has been getting into arguments with, well everyone! Firstly he's a bad dog at the human dog school and gets punished by Big Brother. Then a couple of remarks lead to a full blown argument with Derek which see's Science (still in dog costume) get quite agressive - grabbing Derek's shoulder and refusing to let go to prove he's not homophobic. No-one else really gets involved, though Anthony is vocal in his opinions. Derek gets annoyed that Makosi didn't stand up for him. Later it's Orlaith over some drying towels and there are a few more remarks to others throughout the day, who by the evening are just fed up with arguing with him. He also accuses Craig of faking it when he's in tears in the garden and attempts to put his point of view over his actions in the house across to Eugene and Kemal completly fail. The nominees this week or Orlaith and Science. Orlaith wants to leave, but everyone else wants Science to go. Orlaith was originally favourite to go, but Science's actions this week have seen him the new favourite to get the boot on Friday. And as for the dog shows. The human dogs failed to successfully complete their tricks on Monday, while on Tuesday they failed to herd the ducks into pens in the given time. On Wednesday there are hilarious scenes at walkies as Science runs round the garden, with his trainer Kemal struggling to keep up in his stilletoes! Then BB sets the final dog show - an obstacle course for the dogs which includes some pretty nasty obstacles including a giant bowl of dog food and a dog litter - enough to get Makosi in tears. It's all for nothing to - failing their first two dog shows meant for the fifth time they failed the weekly task - and hence must live on a basic budget next week.
  9. A common rumour is one of the first five evictees (who are non-jury members) will return. Though this does link in with the secret pairs theme - and possibly gives one partner the chance to once again win the $1m - I personally think it's not likely as it means effectively 15 HGs and an even tighter eviction schedule. However, another idea - The Revenge of the Evictees. Basically, the first five evictees will be the ones who vote on the sixth eviction (where the evictee becomes the first Juror). The week goes pretty much as usual with the HoH nominating and the Veto comp, but instead of the HGs voting on the eviction, it's the evictees.
  10. At the end of the day though there is absolutely nothing the housemates can do about it. They've agreed to no contact from the outside world, and I imagine for at least some of them like to be away from news like this. Also, the bigger picture is that Big Brother has provided a welcome alternative for viewers and the press. There is a new terror alert in London now with a reported nail-bomb on the Underground and an explosion on a bus. Many underground stations have been closed and a hospital has been cordoned off, but at the moment not to much detail. Prime Minister to make a speech in just over half an hour.
  11. Just a thought on tonight's rumoured (though probably nothing special) twist. With two evictees gone, maybe Big Brother will pair up their secret partners into a new partnership which will be eligible to win the $1m if they make the final two.
  12. Well, the odds have now changed considerably due to Science getting into arguments with, well everyone. Makosi is also back up near the top in the winning stakes, while Derek has dropped to 10/1 WINNER Anthony 8/11 Makosi 13/2 Eugene 8/1 Science 8/1 Derek 10/1 Craig 12/1 Kemal 12/1 Orlaith 40/1 Any Other 125/1 Next Eviction Friday 22 July 2005 - 21:00 BST Science 4/9 Orlaith 7/4 Official bookies Paddy Power will offer money back on Science if Davina feels Orlaith's breasts during the eviction interview. I'll get round to updating the main BBUK thread by the end of the week. No big twists this week, but alot of ranting by Science!
  13. We all know it's highly likely Michael will be evicted this week - and there's been a few suggestions over ways he could be saved. Well, with the secret theme maybe you could steal one of our best twists. In our second week last year the housemates nominated for eviction didn't actually face eviction. The eviction was fake and the two evictees - Emma and Michelle - were ushered into a secret bedsit where they could watch the HMs 24 hrs a day and issue punishments such as cold showers to selected housemates. A week later they returned - though it led to the infamous fight night which resulted in one HM being kicked out, six getting warnings and one having a panic attack. It's just a possibility though I thought I'd share. Say when evicted Michael moves into the Secret Bedsit and then gets to choose someone to join him, with Julie then linking to the house and telling them a second HM will be evicted tonight. One week later they then return.
  14. Well, since Friday's eviction alot has happened with most housemates stepping up their gameplans considerably. Firstly on Saturday Makosi decided to tell Anthony that Derek thinks he's gay (forgetting to mention it's a rumour she often discusses). This led to Anthony confronting Derek, who all but denied the claim. Anthony managed to push this without losing his temper, but certainly wasn't going to get an admission - with Derek turning round and asking why Anthony would be offended at being branded gay. The mole has also done the trick of increasing paranoia in the house. Kemal is convinced that Makosi is a mole - and planned to out her, but most the HMs weren't that interested. On Sunday afternoon the HMs are only permitted to communicate through singing (until the fat lady sings) - leading to a brilliant diary room entry by Kemal singing his suspicions of Makosi. However, most the action occured on Sunday night with Orlaith the focus of attention. She is getting the blame for the collapse of Kemal and Makosi's friendship, with Kemal discussing with Derek about confronting her about it. Derek gives him a virtual script, which later Kemal recites almost word perfect as Derek just looks on. Discussing his hatred of people bitching behind peoples back and trying to split friends up, Orlaith agrees with him until she realises he's talking about her. Makosi then pops into the conversation and rather than defend Kemal, she asks why he voted her out on Friday. Later that evening Orlaith bursts into tears in the diary room when asked about her day - and states again she wants to leave. Meanwhile, Kemal and Makosi are discussing events when Kemal tells Makosi that whatever she's doing in here, don't do it to him. Makosi doesn't take to Kemal's constant "mole" accusation that well and these two end up fighting. When Orlaith returns it is her Makosi confides in. Not the only argument of course though, Science spent most the evening arguing with Craig. It all started out with Science using too much mince when cooking for himself - and with most HMs already sick of science, it is Craig who begins to lose his temper at the man who stayed over Maxwell. Anthony, as calm as ever, is also trying to get his point across to Science - but just can't get a word in! It's an argument that continues later as Kemal, Derek, Anthony, Craig and Eugene share a bottle of champagne in the lounge. Science states how Craig has used techniques such as foot massages to engratiate himself with Anthony and Maxwell, with Craig attacking Science for his attention seeking "look at me" ways. Once again, Anthony tries to interupt a Science rant to no avail! And that was just another Sunday in the Big Brother house as many of the HMs gameplans began to enter the final phase - no more so than Derek, who has taken fragile friendships and began to stir the pot. In fact, I'd suggest he is probably more to blame for the collapse of Kemal and Makosi's friendship than Orlaith. And just to finish the news we've all been waiting for - is Makosi pregnant? Well, no - she claims to have had her period one week early. Do we believe her though? Well, I never thought she was pregnant - but maybe she's worked out the public didn't like the whole "I think I'm pregnant" story so she's decided to ditch it.
  15. My video search didn't come up with the goods I'm afraid, but I did find a page full of BBUK video clips, though mainly things like the titles, promos and interviews rather than things from the house: http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/downloads This year's titles are particularly good - and if you haven't heard it, it'll give you the chance to here our theme. Last year the titles were pretty plain on the surface, but did contain a hidden message - "Who said life was fair?" Another clip worth downloading is the BB5 Auditions trailer. Very dark - but brilliant! This site also contains a pretty decent gallery of pictures of both this series and previous series: http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/gallery/index.php Well worth a look! Moving on... The Big Brother HMs have been split into dogs and trainers for this weeks Human Dog School task. The Human Dog School will run from 9am - 2pm each day, during which time the dogs must remain dressed as dogs, eat out of dog bowls and use the dog baskets provided rather than furniture. (Nothing said about toilets though!) The task began with HMs pairing up with the people they think they most look like (as dogs look likes their owners). Anthony will be Craig's bitch, Science is dog to Kemal, Derek must train Makosi while Orlaith has Eugene on the leash! Each dog must wear a full dog outfit complete with lead and collar. Each day their trainers must walk them and train them for the days Dog show. If each dog successfully completes two out of three dog shows, they win this weeks task. Craig states "This is ****ing S&M" - more with delight than horror! P.S. No Saturday Challenge as such this week. However, Anthony won a date with Big Brother by making the 2000th diary room visit of the year, while BB asked the HMs to tidy the garden, leading to Eugene finding the mole hidden last week. There was also a Sunday Challenge in which HMs had to sing everything to win a tennis treat.
  16. i think she will be fine and go on to win it! Well, not that likely at the moment. Anthony is now the strongest favourite of the series at evens: WINNER: Anthony 1/1 Science 5/1 Derek 13/2 Eugene 8/1 Craig 10/1 Kemal 10/1 Makosi 11/1 Orlaith 40/1 He seems pretty safe this week as well according to the bookies: EVICTION Orlaith 5/4 Science 5/2 Makosi 11/4 Derek 7/1 Kemal 12/1 Craig 22/1 Eugene 25/1 Anthony 66/1
  17. I'd suggest throw Eric out. Nominations are void and the Veto comp is replaced by a new HoH comp who will make two new nominations. There will be no further Veto and HGs will vote on these nominations for Thursday's live eviction. Alternatively the nominations stand with the Veto winner able to save a nominee AND name the replacement.
  18. Try http://bb2000fan.tripod.com Click on multimedia and video and all the opening credits are there!
  19. A couple of videos of last nights events: Firstly, the HMs discover who is really up for eviction - and it's not those who believe they are nominated: http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=reality79 Secondly, the eviction itself, after all but one HM voted for Vanessa to go: http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=reality1 Not many BBUK fansites do videos but I'll have a look around later to see if I can find one of the voting.
  20. Another idea. The two nominees each pick a team of HGs for the Veto. (If odd number, one HG doesn't compete). The HoH doesn't compete. The two teams face off in the first challenge. The winning team is then joined by the HoH to compete individually for the Veto in a second challenge. A couple more ideas for one off Veto twists: Firstly, as usual the nominees and HoH each pick one person to compete with them. They then compete as pairs. The nominee/HoH from the winning pair wins the Veto. The twist is though if a nominee wins the Veto they can save themselves - but their partner (who helped them win it) will automatically replace them on the block! And secondly, an idea which really has to be done in the first week and is inspired by a twist implied in week 1 of BBUK this year. On the first day the HGs compete for food. One HG will unknowingly win an item which represents the Veto. They will be called to the diary room and told they have won the "Secret Veto" - but there is a twist. They must get themselves nominated for eviction by the first HoH. They must keep this twist a secret, and obviously must throw the first HoH comp. If they fail to get nominated they will automatically replace one nominee of the HoH's choice on the block. If they get themselves nominated, they will be safe. Over the next week they compete to be the first HoH and to win the hot tub - and then the HoH makes their nominations. After the nominations are made the HGs are informed that one HGs already has won the first power of Veto and the twist is revealed. The first eviction then takes place before the next HoH comp - then from then on the Veto is played as usual.
  21. I've made my comments about opportunities not being taken with completly revamping the house layout - but did they put any effort into the studio at all? Virtually the same with a sofa and a couple of plasma screens. The backdrop this year is also awful. You can tell the "Front of the House" is indoors - and the shots during the interview just had a blue wall in the background. Surely they could have made further changes to make it look more modern and also completly new. P.S. Talking about crap, what about the graphics used on screen. Why do they still insist on that awful 1980's style type font when putting up the HGs names. Didn't they change it in the first episode of BB5 to something more modern (as used in the titles IIRC), but then reverted back!
  22. I wrote earlier today I was worried tonight's show could be an anti-climax to the weeks events. How wrong I was - in fact it was probably the best eviction show ever. "Tonight I will tell you two lies. The housemates won't get the shock of their lives and there will be no eviction tonight" Davina's opening lines certainly lived upto expectations. Highlights of Thursday are shown with Derek suggesting all HMs are up for eviction and Makosi getting close to the truth and suggesting the six non-nominated HMs are up. The highlights end with Kemal claiming in the diary room he nominated Makosi because he was possessed by an evil spirit. Davina then crosses to the house. "Big Brother house - this is Davina. You are live on C4 please do not swear!" After a dramatic pause she continues "Derek (cheered)... Eugene (cheered)... Makosi (booed)... Orlaith (booed)... Science (cheered)... Vanessa (booed)..." "The lines are not closed, the votes are yet to be verified and I can now reveal that YOU face eviction tonight". And we get the reaction we want. Makosi's face drops when she hears the boos and Vanessa bursts into tears. Kemal can't believe he's not up while Anthony and Craig try not to smile too much. Derek thinks it's brilliant while Science says he knew all along. The girls then begin screaming and worry they won't get to change - but BB isn't that mean - he gives them about fifteen minutes before ordering them to gather at the dining table. Davina returns at 10pm to reveal the final twist in the tale. "The seventh housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house is..." (dramatic pause) "EITHER" (looks of confusion spread across the HMs) "Makosi ... OR... Vanessa" Makosi says if they have to choose she will go. They are in complete shock as Big Brother then instructs the HMs they must decide who to evict, giving them 10 seconds each to stand up and reveal their vote to evict. ANTHONY: Vanessa CRAIG: Vanessa DEREK: Vanessa EUGENE: Vanessa KEMAL: Makosi ORLAITH: Vanessa SCIENCE: Vanessa Vanessa is in tears, as are her fellow bitches - but Makosi insists it is a lie and she'll be going. Davina speaks to the house again and tells Vanessa she has 30 seconds to leave the house. She is in floods of tears and as the HMs gather at the bottom of the stairs Vanessa climbs to the top and awaits her fait. Makosi then runs to the top and joins her - with the others and BB insisting she comes down. Science goes up the stairs to bring her down. Having just watched her in floods of tears, the crowd are as sympathetic as ever and warming up their booing - probably the worst of the series so far. Vanessa handles it well though considering she is in shock and is much happier in the studio where she (and all evictees) get the cheer they really deserve. Davina treats her well and ensures she is OK, but also makes it absolutely clear that it's the bitching of Vanessa and Makosi that got them into their position tonight. When Vanessa says she wants Makosi to win, the crowd boos. This time last week she was the overwhelming favourite! A brilliant show - but also showed up Makosi for what she really is. As Vanessa prepares for her moment, Makosi has to turn the attention on herself. I hope she is punished for making a run to the exit door - hopefully being automatically nominated for eviction next week - and subsequently evicted!
  23. The mole trick seems to have thrown them of the scent - with Makosi the one under suspicion. It was revealed earlier tonight on BBLB there is a mole in the house - a little cuddly one hidden somewhere and yet to be found! It was also revealed on BBLB how tonights show will work, as far as host Davina knew at 5.45pm: At the end of the first show at 9pm Davina will cross to the house as usual and go through the usual "Big Brother house. This is Davina" routine. She will then pause and read the names of the REAL nominees and give them 30 minutes to pack. In the 10pm show she will go... "The Seventh housemates to be evicted is... HOUSEMATE" PAUSE "or... HOUSEMATE" The HMs will then be told they must decide who will be evicted in front of each other - and the nominees. That person will then be evicted.
