  1. How the voting goes tonight could change now that Big Brother has told it's third lie of the week (well, they didn't say their wouldn't be more than two!). Overnight BB wrote a message in lipstick on the bathroom mirror - "There is a mole in the house". Many HMs have suspected this for quite some time - and all of them name Makosi. If they think she's a mole, they may vote her out over a "genuine" contestant. Talking of Makosi, she hit the nail on the head last night by suggesting those who are up for eviction actually aren't - but everytime someone gets close to the truth someone changes the topic! Should be a great show tonight - I just hope it isn't an anti-climax to a fantastic week of lies and deceit by BB! P.S. Our housemates are animals - literally. These animated charicatures of the HMs are shown regularly on digital channel E4, which carries live streaming, and are worth a watch. They are now available for free on the BBUK website: http://www.channel4.com/bigbrother/news/ne...ory.jsp?id=1247
  2. They still don't seem to have fathomed it out. Anthony, Craig and Kemal all think that whatever the lie, they are up for eviction - with a double eviction one of the favourite rumours. Makosi and Vanessa are especially happy they are not up - and that Kemal is for daring to nominate without their permission. Derek thinks they are all up - while Orlaith mentioned perhaps the HMs who didn't nominate are up - but her quite correct comment was quickly thrown out by the others. There is even confusion over how many times they have been lied to. They have been lied to twice (about nominations being optional and about who is up for eviction) but most think they only lied about the nominations being optional - while some even consider this not to be a lie as those who didn't nominate haven't been punished. Should make a good show tomorrow - I just hope they don't spoil it by giving them their suitcases before the live show. Also worth noting that tomorrow's show as yet hasn't been extended - so it looks like the evictee will be decided as a group rather than secretly in the diary room. My view still is though that only those who nominated should get to vote - and if they refuse to vote, both the real nominees for eviction should be evicted.
  3. Well, it's been shook up a bit since my last post - Makosi has lost alot of support: EVICTION Vanessa 11/10 Makosi 13/8 Orlaith 5/1 Science 12/1 Eugene 16/1 Derek 20/1 That suggests Vanessa and Makosi will face the HMs, who this week decide who is evicted. It's a close call over who they'd vote out - it'll probably be Vanessa, though if they have any brains (and that's a very big if) they'll give Makosi the boot. WINNER Anthony 9/4 Derek 5/1 Science 5/1 Makosi 6/1 Eugene 7/1 Kemal 7/1 Craig 9/1 Orlaith 28/1 Vanessa 40/1
  4. I don't think having the Jury inside the house throughout the series would work though - it would distract to much from the game, and damage one of the key aspects later in the series in seeing how the dynamics of the house change with each eviction. That's why as I've said numerous times I would keep the Jury sequestered until the final eviction, then have them move in for the last few days with the finalists.
  5. That would be flawed though. As a nominee would Veto themselves each week, the HoH would just not nominate the person they want out and then replace the saved nominee with the person they really want out! That's why I think they should all compete for it - it's not just nominees competing to save themselves but other HGs competing to ensure if the nominee is saved, they aren't named as a replacement.
  6. My suggestion for the Veto. All HGs - perhaps except for the HoH - would compete in the Veto Challenge. However, with luxury challenges less frequent the winner of the Veto Challenge would be able to forfeit the Veto for a luxury prize - which could be an individual reward or something that benefits the house. So even those perhaps not interested in winning the Veto would want to win it to exchange it for a luxury.
  7. Thanks Jem. It's only the segments of the shows I want - I prefer the clips to downloading the whole episode (and as I'm still on dial-up, that's just not possible!). I know you concentrate on competitions, but I couple of requests (feel free to say no - I'm only asking as you can't say yes if I don't ask!) Firstly, the HGs actually moving in. (Just how do they decide the order - the last to move in will always get the worst beds!) And secondly, the revealing of the secret room.
  8. It looks as if they have stuck with the format introduced last year of having just 6 HGs - the HoH, Nominees and a partner each - compete for the Veto - but do you prefer this format to previous years. In series 3 all HGs competed for the "Power of Veto" - but if a nominee won the Veto they couldn't use it to save themselves. It was rarely used. In series 4 all HGs competed for the "Golden Power of Veto" - which also enabled the Veto winner to save themselves if nominated. The Veto was used much more often - mainly to save Ali - and was considered by some to be more important than the HoH. Last year just six HGs compete for the Power of Veto. The HoH and Nominees each pick one person to compete for the Golden Power of Veto. It appears to be the same format this year, though it's worth noting the first Veto competition was more of a pair effort than competing individually. So which format do you prefer - or do you have further ideas on how to twist the Veto. Personally, I liked the season 4 method of all HGs competing, with nominees able to save themselves.
  9. God, it has changed hasn't it. I think it'll grow on us - I hated the previous theme initially myself but once you come to associate it with BBUSA, it worked. It's not up on Mortys yet but is available on http://www.bb6world.com
  10. Will you be putting up any videos for episode 2 (please!). If so, can you include the new titles and theme please! Yours impatiently, Brekkie Boy. Found them now at bb6world.com . Hope you find someone to do the clips soon as in past years though numerous sites begin the series offering clips, after a couple of weeks Mortys TV has been the only reliable one. P.S. Been going through some of the clips still up from series 4 and 5 - some great stuff still up!
  11. Has it been mentioned yet the evicted HGs will form a jury? Another twist could be that this year the public will decide the winner. That would change the game as the HGs would know the public sees things a "jury" probably wouldn't. I'd say it's unlikely though as apart from America's Choice, the public have had no say since season 1. Does save the cost of the Jury house though!
  12. I've not been watching any live action tonight but from the website it appears at least the "nominees" believe they are up. Kemal spent half an hour ranting about it in the diary room, while Anthony stated the obvious and said he wouldn't have nominated if he'd known nominating would lead to being nominated. The biggest surprise in tonight's show though was that Kemal nominated Makosi. Going on to describe her as his best friend in the house, he said he didn't like not being able to figure her out and repeated his suspicions she is a mole, or if not a mole, either incredibly clever, extremly stupid or pyschologically damaged. The Divas (Makosi, Kemal, Vanessa and Orlaith) are at breaking point - and it's likely Vanessa will at least be one of the two HMs up for eviction on Friday - though I think she'll probably escape if against someone like Science. With Anthony and Craig the only remaining members of Team Saskia, they expect to be picked off - but power is really shifting in the house. Science is spending more time with them now Maxwell has gone, while Derek and Eugene are considered by most to be in an alliance. However - it's worth remembering that in BBUK HMs are not permitted to discuss nominations - but they can bitch about people as often as they like! And over the last few weeks, the HMs The Divas spend all week bitching about tend to be the HMs up for eviction!
  13. Well, the last line of my above post shows the bookies sometimes get it wrong. However, the betting latest on Day 47: WINNER 11/4 Anthony 3/1 Makosi 9/2 Derek 6/1 Science 13/2 Eugene 13/2 Kemal 10/1 Craig 25/1 Orlaith 40/1 Vanessa EVICTION Not only having to second guess the public vote, but also who the HMs will vote to evict from the two HMs with the most votes 6/4 Vanessa 11/4 Science 9/2 Orlaith 5/1 Makosi 13/2 Derek 16/1 Eugene
  14. There are three twists to this weeks nominations. Firstly, the HMs were told this weeks nominations were optional and any HM wishing to nominate was to go to the diary room between 6am and 9am on Monday morning. All the HMs visited the diary room, but only Anthony, Craig and Kemal nominated. This was a lie - nominations are of course compulsory. Secondly, Big Brother revealed tonight that Anthony, Craig and Kemal are up for eviction. This is Big Brother's second lie - they are not. The six HMs who didn't nominate are up for eviction - Derek, Eugene, Makosi, Orlaith, Science and Vanessa. The HMs didn't twig initially this is a lie - they believe that Anthony, Craig and Kemal were victims of BB's first lie by being put up for eviction as they nominated. However, paranoia is beginning to set in. And finally, the third twist. The HMs will get the final say on who goes. The two HMs with the most votes will face a final eviction showdown with the HMs deciding who goes. Fantastic!
  15. I've been reading through the last couple of series here at Mortys TV and this rumour also crops up on the BB4 pages (week 4). Personally, I think it's unlikely - though they may live in an adjacent house rather than being sequestered abroad I doubt they'll be any interaction. What I would suggest though is after the final eviction the jury moves back into the BB6 house to spend the last few days with the finalists. It would make a great last week and give the finalists the chance to plead for votes behind each others back - and the jury the chance to say what they really feel. It would completly change the last few days - and be far superior to having the two finalists watch DVDs all week.
  16. Yesterday afternoon Big Brother posted a note under the front door promising to lie to the housemates twice in the next week. Let the paranoia commence. Firstly, Big Brother instructed that the HMs would be rewards with a chinese takeaway if they cleaned the house from top to bottom. They did - and discovered BB wasn't lying. Today BB provided directions to some hidden treasure in the garden. After 90 minutes of digging by a determined Anthony (most of the rest had quit) and a ruined garden, the treasure was found - and once again, the truth was estabhlished. However, in tonight's show viewers were let in on the first lie. Each week HMs are each called to the diary room to nominate two people for eviction, with the two or more people with the most votes up for eviction. Last night BB informed the HMs that this weeks nominations would be optional and anyone wishing to nominate must do so between 6am and 9am on Monday morning. This was Big Brother's first lie. Anyone who fails to nominate will be automatically up for eviction this week. All HMs did visit the diary room this morning - but did they all nominate?
  17. Now we've seen the show I think I'm pretty much accurate. The plan is still yet to appear on cbs.com though
  18. Well, the first food/HoH comp wasn't anything special was it - not even a subtle hint to the twist. Compared to the first competitions of the last two years as well it just looked cheap! The same type of endurance comp could have been done - but just hinting at the twist by having them compete in pairs. Would they choose to pair up with their partner? Each pair would have to remain on their "podium" for as long as possible. When one person from a pair quits, that person is on PB&J while the pair of HMs are eliminated from the HoH comp. When one pair remains the one who remains the longest is HoH - with the one who quits being on PB&J. It's not that different - a basic endurance comp - but there is a subtle hint to the twist by having them paired up - and it also tests their pairings by seeing who they would choose to compete with! Well, apart from this week's Veto Competition there hasn't been anything special so far. And "Majority Rules" for at least the fourth time! What's the betting they bring back the "Can you keep a secret" endurance challenge from last year (with the life size replicas of themselves) just to tie in with this year's twist next week. Anyone got more ideas for competitions - I think the producers need them. Ideas for Head of Household, Food, Veto and Luxury are all welcome, especially for a HoH Challenge to tie in with the revealing of the secret pairs twist next week. With the Veto seemingly becoming more and more important, I think it be good one week if we had a combined HoH and Veto comp. I'm not sure how it would work, but basically HGs would have to decrease their chances of winning HoH to win the Veto. The Veto would be easier to win, but almost certainly winning it would ruin out winning HoH. HoH would be more difficult - and going for HoH could risk one of your potential nominees winning the Veto. A simple idea on how this could work is the HGs basically select three boxes. Two thirds of the boxes are blue, with one blue box containing the HoH key. One third of the boxes are red, with one red box containing the Veto. However, some of the boxes will eliminate you from the competitions. Opening one of the Veto boxes will eliminate you from the Veto, while another one will eliminate you from HoH. One of the HoH boxes eliminates you from the Veto, one from HoH and one from both competitions. HGs initially choose any three boxes they want and then open them one at a time. If eliminated, they return their remaining boxes to be split amongst the remaining competitors if no one wins the Veto/HoH.
  19. Apparantly they knew each other from the auditions. This has happened in previous series with Kate/Jade in BB3 and Brian/Bubble in BB2. An update then... The HMs failed their Holiday Rep task - actually on the first day with BB failing the reps for not wearing their uniform (it was just the sunglasses they forgot!). Before BB announced the failure though they got the three reps to clean the house as part of the task! On Wednesday Big Brother asked the housemates to "Come together for a Mass Debate!" The two nominees had to pick teammates and debate why they should stay in the house. Maxwell opened by picking Derek - someone who doesn't like him in the house but as a political analyst, great for speeches. Science went and picks one of Maxwell's allies - Craig, before Maxwell picked his other, Anthony. There were tears though with Craig furious at Maxwell for not picking him first and choosing Derek instead - little realising Maxwell would almost certainly have picked Anthony first if based on friendship! The winners of the Mass Debate would be the HM who avoid evicted - with BB laying on a party for them and their team. So who would go - Maxwell or Science? The favourite had changed a few times throughout the week, and as the eviction loomed Science was once again favourite to go - while most the HMs, including Science also thought he would go. However, the sixth person to be evicted was Maxwell - much to the shock of Anthony and Craig especially, not forgetting Maxwell and even Science. So Science got his party with Craig, Vanessa, Eugene and Makosi - while the others were forced to watch on from the glass box that is the lounge. Craig wasn't too happy - though cheered up when Britney was played. However, he later ensured Anthony he was only enjoying the party under instruction from BB, who allegedly told him the HMs would be punished if he didn't enjoy himself! Science certainly enjoyed himself and got very drunk - with Anthony having to help him to bed though, but not before assisting his vomiting in the toilet. Now each morning BB wakes the HMs with an alarm - ranging from a standard alarm to babies crying to a bell tolling on eviction day. So how did BB decide to wake the HMs up the morning after the night before? They played the audio of Science vomitting from the night before of course! On to the Saturday Challenge and BB asked the brainiest housemate to come to the diary room. Kemal was chosen - though as second choice to an unwilling Derek - and had to wear a "Thinking Cap" and answer a series of questions, each time answering the previous question - hence why Margaret Thatcher is traditionally stuffed and served for Christmas Dinner. Kemal answered all but one question correctly so although he didn't win the mystery reward, he won messages for all nine remaining HMs. This lead to some emotional moments, especially with Kemal himself who as a homosexual Muslim had been increasingly concerned about how his parents would react. He had absolutely nothing to worry about. And that brings you up to date - only to say that Big Brother has promised the HMs one thing before Fridays eviction - that he will lie to them twice! So how big will the lies be - and will Big Brother catch the HMs out (probably!)?
  20. Thanks for the messages. Re: How BBUK was affected On Thursday producers contacted the friends and relatives of the family and estabhlished they were all safe. The decision was then made not to tell them unless circumstances changed. The BB schedule was unaffected, though Thursday's BBLB (a daily fanzine show) had a much more downbeat mood than usual, beginning by informing us of how Thursday's events would affect the show. The Thursday night show aired as usual - and actually won it's 10pm slot against the main news bulletins on BBC and ITV. I think by 10pm it provided a much welcome alternative for many viewers. Friday's eviction also went ahead as planned - complete with eviction crowd. My personal feeling was the crowd should have been scaled back, but on the other hand this would have made the HMs suspicious - and in situations like this I don't think it's appropriate to allow HMs to speculate on what might be going on. And so the show goes on - as indeed it should - and my commentaries will continue in the BBUK thread with an update on what's happened while I've been away being posted shortly.
  21. Well, in light of today's events in London obviously the question is whether the HMs would be told. Half of those remaining live in London. Obviously the precident is 9/11, when the three remaining in BBUSA were told a major incident had occured, but not given the details. In this case one HM was directly affected. The general feeling is that producers will take time to estabhlish if any of the HMs friends or family have been caught up in today's events before deciding what to do. It is highly likely that tomorrow night's planned eviction will be affected in someway by today's events - either being postponed or being done low-key without a crowd. The BB house isn't in London. The only previous time events led to contact from producers was in 2003 when a bomb scare at the Big Brother complex forced the evacuation of the house and studio. Tonight's BBLB and Big Brother will go ahead as planned. It's the unofficial role of broadcaster Channel 4 to provide an alternative to the rolling news coverage of the BBC and ITV when events such as this occur. After the euphoria of yesterday's success at winning the right to host the 2012 Olympic Games, I think today's events have shocked the city - and country - even more, going from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. Big Brother even gave the HMs a subtle hint at our 2012 Olympic success by waking the HMs up to the theme of "Chariots of Fire". P.S. I'm going away for the next few days so won't be on hand with the updates, though I'll bring you up to date when I return.
  22. Just to through my hat into the ring, here's my best guess at how the house floorplan looks this year, complete with secret bedroom. I've also included the previous house for comparision - see http://mortystv.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1826 for more details: (Apologies for it not being at 100% quality - blame JPEG compression!)
  23. I thought it might be delayed again today with the Olympic 2012 vote taking place. (P.S. Very happy - London 2012 here we come! )
  24. This weeks nomination breakdown: Anthony: Derek & Science Craig: Kemal & Science Derek: Maxwell & Anthony Eugene: Anthony & Maxwell Kemal: Anthony & Maxwell Makosi: Orlaith & Maxwell Maxwell: Kemal & Science Orlaith: Eugene & Maxwell Science: Maxwell & Craig Vanessa: Science & Eugene The tally for the sixth round of nominations: Maxwell (6 votes) Science (4 votes) Anthony (3 votes) Eugene (2 votes) Kemal (2 votes) Craig (1 vote) Derek (1 vote) Orlaith (1 vote) Makosi (0 votes) Vanessa (0 votes)
  25. Just had a brainwave and thought of a way BB can pair up the secret pairs without the HMs knowing. The first HoH compwould be question based "Which Housemate?" challenge. Each HM would be asked "Which housemate... ?" - with the answer being their secret partner. Would they answer correctly in an effort to win the HoH - or would they throw the question to keep their alliance secret?
