  1. Another idea... Each weeks challenges are linked by a theme, beginning with the HoH Challenge. For example, the theme one week could be "Pirate Ship". The HoH Challenge, Food Challenge and Veto Challenge would all be linked to this theme. In addition, a further task runs continuously throughout the week for the HGs to win a luxury reward. These would be along the line of the UK weekly tasks. In the case of the Pirate Ship two HGs would have to keep watch in the "Crow's Nest" 24 hours a day. If BB raises a flag indicating LAND or PIRATES, they have to ring a bell and all HGs have to gather on deck within 3 minutes. They are permitted 3 fails over the length of the task. If they get four fails, they lose the task.
  2. It seems such a missed opportunity with the new house. It's got virtually the same layout as the old one - apart from the stairs. We have a slightly modified "camera cross" with the living room one side, the kitchen the other. These seem the other way round compared to the old house. Even the fish tank is in the same place! The bathroom looks to have exactly the same layout in the old house, with a bath one one side and toilet and shower at the end. The pool and spa are positioned better in the new garden - but it still looks like a plain open box! Obviously the new thing is the stairs, with the HoH room etc. now upstairs. When our BB moved house in series 3 we got a completly different house, which has had it's internal layout radically changed a couple of times since. I'm sure alot viewers will be under the impression that the new BB6 house is just the old one with a second floor added! I hope they've made the studio feel more different than the house!
  3. Well, remember the premiere show is usually 4-5 days after they move in. It could be done though. Skip the first food comp in favour of the HoH comp - then include nominations and the Veto and end with the surprise eviction. However, if evictions began on the 14th July we can just about get 12 evictions in before the end of September - though if it finished around the 20th as last year we'd need a double eviction.
  4. Obviously with all the money spent on the new house they didn't have much to spend on the promos!
  5. Last year their were not too many Luxury Challenges. We had the hot tub, an internet thing and the clothes - plus some prizes in the Christmas Veto comp. My idea is to get them back weekly they should be merged with the Veto Challenge. We go back to all HMs competing in the Veto Challenge - but the winner can forfeit the power of Veto in exchange for a mystery reward. I'd also like to see the HMs offered luxuries for forfeiting challenges. For example, the first HoH challenge would be an endurance event and take place soon after they move in. The catch is though the bedroom isn't unlocked till the challenge begins - and it's first come, first serve. So do HMs quit the challenge for a comfy bed? And finally, let's have something different than the usual unlocking the hot tub scenario. In the second UK series we had a hot tub hidden in the garden under a rockery. Why not do something similar and see how long it takes them to find it?
  6. My first thought was I didn't like the idea about people knowing each other - but remember they are going to have to act as if they don't! It was a fear about the X Factor as well, but that worked out quite well IMO.
  7. No surprise really - it's Maxwell and Saskia nominated for eviction this week.
  8. It doesn't really fit in with the "Summer of Secrets" theme, but it's a regular rumour and with a new house this year, it's more feasible for it to happen. I'm talking about dividing the house of course into a rich and poor side. Who lives where depends on the weekly food comp (HoH automatically on rich side), with the rich side including the HoH room, the luxury bedrooms, the bathroom, pool, spa, kitchen and lounge. On the poor side you get the basic bedroom, an outdoor stove (or PB&J cupboard), an outdoor toilet and an outdoor shower - cold of course!
  9. The look on Saskia's face especially was classic - but to be fair I think Saskia was shocked more than anything... especially as Orlaith was wearing her clothes! She's also now apologised to Makosi having realised that she took the cider last night to the secret housemates - though having had the argument the night before nominations, I don't think it'll matter now!
  10. In other news: Once again the rule over not discussing nominations or nomination strategies has been broken: Once again the rules over discussing nominations have been broken - and once again BB has punished those responsible. Earlier today Anthony told Maxwell he was considering whether he should vote for who he wants out or tactically, to which Maxwell replied "tactically" - and therefore when they were called to the diary room to nominate, they were both informed this week they couldn't nominate. That puts Team Saskia in a very vulnerable position - with the other five HMs almost certain to vote against them - with Maxwell and Saskia the most likely targets. However, it is likely most of Team Saskia's votes would have gone Makosi's way after last nights cider incident - but as she passed her secret mission she is immune!
  11. Makosi has just made a huge mistake, not knowing the others were watching in the lounge as she made her choice. She's told the HMs she selected two new HMs from a panel of 10 people - so will soon be found out. Orlaith and Eugene have now joined the house for a party - as the interactive feed crashes to E4 for the ads! The HMs have told Makosi they were watching her on the screen, questioning about Kinga. Makosi has obviously instructed the others to lie, with Eugene especially looking confused. She's now showing the new HMs where the showers etc. are! The HMs are completly shocked - they weren't expecting that. They've sussed the food had gone missing - and that Makosi is fibbing about the 10 HMs, constantly questioning her about how many people she chose from etc. When they ask the new arrivals questions, she tells them they aren't aloud to talk about it! P.S. From the website it appears Makosi was told earlier she'd have to evict one of the secret housemates - but to complete her mission she couldn't tell them. She also had to steal more clothes to dress the new HMs for a welcome party - but couldn't tell them why!
  12. The secret garden has been revealed. At around 8.30pm tonight the HMs were gathered on the sofa and shown the secret room - complete with three wanabee housemates - though there was some argument over whether it was two girls and a guy or two guys and a girl. They then saw Makosi in the diary room being told she must now complete her secret mission by evicted one of the housemates. A look of shock wiped over the faces of the real housemates - but it was soon relief when BB told her to choose between Eugene, Kinga and Orlaith. Without much hesitation, she chose Kinga - citing she was young and there were already alot of people in the house. Kinga looked upset, asking why it always happens to her? "Why? Why is it always me?" replied Kinga. Makosi explained: "We've got a lot of kids in the house already and I don't think she would survive in there. When I was supplying them with stuff, I thought Kinga was a bit 'cigarettes, cigarettes, cigarettes' and I'd hate to imagine what she was like without cigarettes." The other HMs then took a look at who would be moving in - with most the boys noticing the fit bird - and a look of horror on Saskia's face. Vanessa and Kemal have now told the others Makosi has been evicted - as she had told them she'd be leaving this week. Eugene and Orlaith then said their goodbyes to Kinga, who was left in the secret garden as they headed for the diary room.
  13. I don't think I'd be going out on a limb then to say they'd be at least one secret room.
  14. All out war broke out in the house as when BB provided alcohol in the diary room, Makosi took it to the secret garden where she drank it with the new HMs. She then returned to the house claiming she'd drunk six ciders in the diary room - something Maxwell, Saskia and Anthony weren't happy with. While Anthony looked shell shock, Maxwell and Saskia kicked off - with Saskia coming out with a barrage of insults, referring to Makosi saying last week that after Room 101, Maxwell deserved the alcohol. As Saskia fumed in the diary room, Maxwell calmed down and attempted to resolve the situation with Makosi, to little effect though. Interestingly Saskia is now favourite to be evicted - just a couple of weeks after being amongst the favourites to win. I never understood why Saskia was a favourite to win, but she's getting a rough deal now just because of her relationship with the boys. The interesting thing though is Makosi is a much bigger bitch than Saskia, always slagging of HMs and doing things to deliberately wind them up - but her secret mission in week one has given her some protection as viewers are in on her game plan. Team Saskia have gone from the position of perceived power has now fallen as the other five HMs seem to have united against them. P.S. As for which two "gnomes/garden-ers/gardenmates" move in, I think Makosi will get some sort of say - either choosing one or both of the new HMs. If there is a standard eviction as well this week, I don't think it'll be down to a public vote.
  15. Ranster627 wanted some idea of popularity, so here are the latest odds: WINNER: Kemal 4/1 Makosi 4/1 Anthony 15/2 Derek 8/1 Science 8/1 Maxwell 9/1 Craig 10/1 *Orlaith 12/1 *Eugene 14/1 Saskia 20/1 *Kinga 22/1 Vanessa 40/1 * Currently in the Secret Garden. Only two of these three will become HMs. EVICTION: Saskia 7/4 Maxwell 3/1 Science 9/2 Vanessa 5/1 Derek 10/1 Kemal has the longest odds at 50/1 One person from the Secret Garden will certainly leave the house this week, but it's unclear whether this will replace or be in addition to the weekly eviction - or how it will be determined.
  16. Makosi's latest task in her secret mission has been to dress the secret housemates. She took her some of her own clothes for Kinga and Orlaith and robbed Craig's shirt and shorts for Eugene. Meanwhile, the HMs have discovered they are getting through this weeks food supply quicker than expected - but of course have taken to blaming each other!
  17. Another alleged incident in the Big Brother house has led to some viewers calling the police, who are now investigating. On Friday night, in a discussion with Craig, Maxwell claimed to have picked the blood from a scab on his food and sprinkled it over Science's mince, which he went on to eat. When BB questioned him about the incident he denied he had actually done it, saying was just winding Craig up. (P.S. I know it's childish, but it's very funny when Big Brother swears when they quote the HMs!) The alleged offence hasn't been broadcast and only discussion of it has been included in the programmes, so we don't know if it did happen. If it didn't there is obviously nothing to broadcast. If it had, I'm sure they would have shown it! From Endemol's early responses, it seems as if it didn't occur and was just a joke that's got out of hand. However, it does raise the viewers hearing about things in secondary terms. The prime example is last week Vanessa told Makosi that in a discussion with Maxwell, Anthony had said he was only using Makosi "for the cameras" and wasn't interested in her. This discussion wasn't shown, so we don't know if he said that - or if Vanessa is just stiring the pot!
  18. A fantastic overnight mission - Makosi had to get the "Gardeners" into the house for a shower while the others slept. If she failed, she'd be up for eviction! At 5.30am while the others slept Makosi grabbed them some food and went and awoke the "secret garden-ers" and guided them to the outdoor showers - with an instruction to hide in the loft if anyone got up! It all went well - so our secret garden-ers are clean and fed - for now! Meanwhile, Kemal has been looking round the house for his make-up wipes - unaware it was one of those essential items taken in the first house raid on Friday night! Some more pics: WARNING: After some of these pics, you may be glad BBUSA sticks to the wanabee models! The Secret Garden-ers: The Button: Makosi visits the Secret Garden: Overnight shower mission:
  19. Thanks for telling me you moved it. I was looking for ages (well, about two minutes!) to find where it had gone! Can you put a link to the International forum on the main Mortys TV Big Brother pages - and if possible at the top of the main Big Brother forum. Also, can you make it clearer on the main forum that a new international forum has been created - I only found out because I was searching through the announcements!
  20. Well with BB6 being a "Summer of Secrets", I thought I'd outline some of the big secret twists from BBUK which could fit in with the theme. Most of these I've posted before around this forum, but now I'll look at them from the US angle and see if they can be adapted to work within the US format. Firstly, a few from last year: The Secret Bedsit Probably BBUK's most famous twist - two HMs leave the house in a fake double eviction. The HMs then spend the next five days in a secret bedsit where they watch and listen to live action from the house, 24 hours a day. They can also punish some HMs with cold showers etc - and also get to vote in the nominations. A few days later, they return to the house. The HoH system makes staging a fake double eviction difficult. I'd suggest that the first America's Choice at the end of the premiere show is to vote for one houseguest to move into the "Secret Apartment". In the second show of the series, the HGs are surprised when Julie tells them their will be a double eviction - and that the viewers have determined who goes - an even greater shock as this hasn't happened since BB1. Actually, the viewers only determine the first "evictee" to move into the "Secret Apartment". Once they move in, they choose a second person to join them. The first HoH challenge then takes place. The "evictees" get to vote in the first eviction round, then rejoin the house after the first eviction. The Bootcamp A secret message instructed one HM into the diary room. They had to select one person to join them as being Sergeants, with the other six HMs being privates. The Sergeants then had to ensure the Privates passed a series of challenges. If the Privates failed, the Sergeants would be up for eviction. If the Privates passed the task, the Sergeants would be immune and the Privates would face eviction. The Sergeants knew this - the Privates didn't! Again, this would need reworking for the Head of Household concept. I would love to see a scenario where the HoH could find themselves evicted. I'd suggest in this case the HoH is made Sergeant, with the other HMs privates. Nominations and the Veto take place as usual - but if the Privates pass the task, the HoH gets the sole vote in determining which nominee is evicted. If the Privates fail the task, the HoH is evicted! The Secret Eviction In the final week of the series the HM with the lowest amount of votes is called to the diary room and immediately evicted without saying goodbye to the others. Again, the US format makes this quite difficult. Can't really see this happening! Moving on to secret twists from this year - the official theme of BBUK6 has been "Unlucky!" - but this series has featured alot of "Secret Missions". Nominate Me! Upon entering the house, BB called asked for a HM to go to the diary room. Makosi answered the call and found herself automatically up for eviction. The only way to save herself was to get the most nominations the next week - which meant doing her best to annoy the HMs. She did this, and then got to choose the real nominees to face the public vote A brilliant twist, but again the different format makes things difficult. It could be done in the form of a "Secret Veto". The challenge is set before the first HoH challenge, with the HG told they must try and get the HoH to nominate them. If successful, they will get to save themselves AND nominate a replacement. If not, they will replace one nominee and be automatically up for eviction. Becoming Big Brother The HM who could count the highest (sounds boring, but it was the funniest piece of TV this year!) had a secret mission to become Big Brother. They could set questions for a HM to answer in the diary room, then watch them on a secret screen in the toilet. They also got to choose a punishment for one naughty HM and witness the evidence that meant one HMs rule breaking put all HMs up for eviction. The voice of "Big Brother" is completly edited out in the US version - though the rumoured "House Moderator" could see it return. It's possible though that one HG could have the sort of privileges outlined above. On the spot Missions In addition to the big missions, quick secret missions have been set to earn things like underwear, toilet roll and alcohol. These includes not swearing or saying Yes or No, slapping everyone on the bottom and receiving a kiss from all HMs. Not spectacular twists, but a good five minutes of TV. Room 101 Each HM is required to complete a shift in solitary confinement each day in the BB Workhouse. Worker No. 1 will work in Room 101, No. 2 in Room 102, No. 3 in Room 103 etc. Or that is what Worker No. 1 believes! In fact, he is the only one completing shifts in the BB Workhouse. The other HMs are enjoying garden parties - with the real task being that they must convince Worker No. 1 that they too have been at work in the Workhouse. A brilliant, ingenious challenge. He didn't suspect a thing, and had no reason too! Watching the HMs try and explain themselves each day was brilliant - especially when one of them got very very drunk one afternoon while they were supposed to be shelling prawns. The continuous Weekly Tasks aren't a feature of BBUSA, so it's unlikely this will occur. The Secret Garden The big new twist (full details in the BBUK thread) sees three NEW HMs living in the Secret Garden - but they have no food, clothes or toiletries. These must be stolen from the house without the other HMs discovering the new HMs. However, they won't be doing the raiding. After pressing a button placed in the house, Makosi once again is automatically up for eviction, with only a secret mission to save her. She must steel the items from the house and deliver them to the secret garden, without the other HMs knowing! An original way to introduce new HGs mid-series - but you never get new HMs late on, so it's doubtful this will crop up. And there you have it! However, it's worth noting that with the US version following different rules to all other Big Brother's, they don't usually borrow ideas from overseas. So it's likely that the twists involved will be pretty original - so for now they'll remain a secret!
  21. A mystery red button appeared in the house today with conflicting instructions: "Don't Press This Button. Press Here". Within 20 minutes Makosi gave into temptation and pressed the button. Setting of klaxons around the house, she was called to the diary room and discovered once again she is automatically up for eviction - unless she completes a new secret mission! Makosi then entered the secret garden to meet Eugene, Kinga and Orlaith then explained she is now responsible for stealing items from the house. For the next week Makosi must take food, clothes and toiletries without the other HMs noticing. Makosi secret mission will last for the next week. She returned to the house in tears claiming she could now be evicted from the house, retreating to the Loft with Kemal and Vanessa. Derek said he was so cross having told her not to press the button, but urged her not to let "them" see you down. Makosi told Kemal and Vanessa she could be evicted on Friday, but isn't up for the public vote. She told them they could tell the other HMs they knew what was happening, but couldn't explain the details! This is Makosi's second secret mission after becoming the "unlucky" housemate on the first night. She's playing it great and making great viewing (even making Derek look so gulible!) - but in a way it's a shame as we were just about getting to see the real Makosi and seperate her first week act from her real personality! P.S. Derek's now offered to talk to BB on Makosi's behalf and plead BB to keep her in!
  22. A couple of pics from the website - hopefully I'll get more soon: The Secret Garden: The three new "arrivals" (Kinga, Eugene, Orlaith)
  23. The three new arrivals have moved into the Big Brother house - well, nearly! They won't be living in the house yet - instead will spend their first few days in Big Brother's Secret Garden, accessed via the diary room. Here they will live with no clothes, no food and no shower! First in was Kinga, a 44FF 20 year old busty blonde who arrives in BB's supplied figleaves - not a pretty site! She acknowledges her loud character means she can't win! On the way in there's already chants of "Kinga the Minger". Next in is Eugene, a 27 yr old engineer. He doesn't drink, but gets hyper on coffee. He gets a better reception when moving in - again dressed in figleaves - and stranfly Kinga greats him by his name. Finally it Orlaith (pronounced Orla) - a 26 yr old model from Belfast who looks far better in figleaves than Kinga! On entering the three new arrivals spend five minutes in the house while the other HMs are locked in the garden lounge. BB then calls them to the diary room and tells them they are not housemates yet. They are given three toothbrushes and told they will live in Big Brother's Secret Garden until further notice. They must not be discovered by the other housemates. They are then told they'll get no further possessions and any food, clothes and toiletries must be taken from the house - without the housemates noticing. They are then given 1 minute to raid the house before entering the secret garden. Their raid doesn't go to well, with just some milk, bread, meat and make-up removal wipes. The HMs then re-enter the main house none the wiser. They don't know yet, but Davina told us only two of the new arrivals will enter the main house and become housemates - the other will be kicked out after just a few days in the secret garden. The secret garden (which seems to be indoors) has a small fridge and kitchen, toilet and three beds - plus Stag, a wall mounted stag that talks - something Davina didn't know when she gave us a guided tour! There is also a screen in the secret garden - it's not on yet but I'm guessing it'll allow the "arrivals" to monitor the house and aid their theft! P.S. Roberto was the fourth evictee in one of the tightest votes ever (so we are told!).
  24. QUICK UPDATE: On BBLB it was CONFIRMED that two women and one man will be entering the house tonight. However, Davina says they are not neccessarily housemates! Tonight's show should be fantastic - a really close eviction with Derek and Roberto, three new arrivals and Davina may lose her voice!
