  1. It's the strong alliances that keep the people watching the live feeds (and the show) coming back for more. It's also to keep up with the crazy people in the house but I repeat myself. IMO if they wanted to release the info early they would have used a reliable source that many people on the internet know & trust. That way the BB fanatics would believe it. Either way it's something we can chew on until better information comes along.
  2. OK, a couple of points; 1) I can give this person the benefit of the doubt but my memory tells me any "secrets" that come out this early turn out to be false. (please correct that if I'm wrong) 2) I can only remember one person who did come out with the correct information and they posted it on another board which spread like crazy throughout the other BB sites. They had posted it about two weeks out which was just ahead of CBS releasing the information. 3) It would be ridiculous for TPTB to put Colton on another CBS show. He created a lot of negativity on Survivor and it turned a lot of people off to the extent they quit watching the show. IF the golden key info is correct (and he won), I'm sure there would be plenty of people wanting to watch him in a room by himself for several weeks. He would go a little insane being in squalor by himself. lol 4) From what I read last night Laura considers herself a healthy version of Sarah Palin. Very conservative, religious and somewhat a health nut. Joey was another fitness fanatic but neither one of them created a lot of negative situations on their shows. These two do sound like people BB would put in the house. 5) I always thought they would eventually end up changing the rules on the HOH comps. Giving that person the chance to compete in the next challenge could be an interesting twist. If they got someone in there who was a dynamite player winning HOH several times in a row it would put a big target on their back. As soon as they lost an HOH challenge there could be a good possibility they get targeted for eviction. Like I said, IF this information is true we would definitely have some different dynamics going on in that house which is good for all of us! The crazier the better. Edited to correct spelling.
  3. Well, I'm not buying any of it. This video was posted by a sixteen year old and I have a hard time believing someone that young can find out all these big secrets. I looked up the Survivor and TAR people just out of curiosity since I don't watch either of those shows. I'm not impressed with any of them. That's my two cents.
  4. Evil Dick even thought Dani turned against the vets way too early in the game and I agree. I understand her wanting to go bawls to the wall as her strategy. I just didn't think it was very good timing on her part. She knew how to play that game and to do what she did at such an early part of the game was foolish. For me it's never been if I like or don't like the returning HG. I'm burn out on having the same players play this game. Give me fresh faces, fresh twists and finding ways to engage the HG in activities where they aren't constantly lying around doing absolutely nothing. After all, this is suppose to be a fun game for the HG and viewers. Take a chance!
  5. My excitement level is finally moving up. I held off voting on this poll until today. Now I'm looking forward to the HG reveal so I can start learning their names and background. It helps to know them ahead of the start of the game so I know who I'm talking about it chat! lol
  6. I try to look at this from a totally realistic point. The reason some twists/turns/changes are used is determined by previous ratings of shows in the past. If they had a higher than usual rating on a broadcast chances are they will repeat that often until they no longer receive the projected ratings. I think it's more about being afraid to "take a risk" than actually changing up the game. I'm sure many of us would love to see some major changes in this game. I'm just not sure if the producers are willing to make too many major changes because they worry about losing the BB faithful. Are they willing to take a risk or prefer to remain in their comfort zone? I used to like the idea of the viewers getting to vote on a possible eviction but it's hard when you don't trust TPTB to do the right thing. We have no way to know if they actually go by the vote of simply choose which player they want to leave. It's pretty obvious they've manipulated the game in the past in order to keep a HG around because they think they affect the ratings. When someone shows you who they are, believe them.
  7. No offense my dear lala but in my world there's little enjoyment about returning house guests!! rofl But OK...I'll play along like a good girl.
  8. Ditto. I do NOT want to see any familiar faces in that house this season. They've been doing that crap long enough. I hope we do have some fun surprises this year though. Otherwise I'm not too sure how CBS is going to continue holding on to the faithful viewers. I've read so many posts across the internet where people do not want to see this stuff repeated over and over. Enough already! I'm sure Julie will have the first reveals of the house and HG's on The Talk. I do watch it daily even though I'm getting pretty burn out on one of the people on the show. Three weeks from tomorrow! It's getting here fast! Woohoo! I'm fired up ready to go!
  9. ITA. Get rid of the golden key. It's nothing but Grodner's free pass to manipulate the game.
  10. I agree with a post I saw earlier about docking some of their stipend for singing. They could give each of them three warnings. After that start taking away some of their money. That will definitely get their attention and get them to quit singing so the feeds are always going down. I bet most of the HG will go through their warnings in the first week! lol We could have a better summer without interruptions. Now that would be nice!
  11. ITA Marty! These poor people actually get sick when they're on slop. I would think they could come up with something better. I understand there is a certain psychological component to being on the slop but they should come up with another solution where they don't get ill. Slop should be categorized as cruel and unusual punishment!
  12. I've always thought Grodner should go on popular BB sites and contact some of the viewers who have watched this show for a long time. I bet many of us could give very good ideas about new challenges, twists, games, group challenges, etc... I don't think doing the same games and twists over and over is doing them much good. Granted, I realize it costs money to invent new game sets but they are going to lose viewers if they keep on the same path year after year. If nothing else she could contact board administrators for all the BB forums and ask them to start a topic where the viewers could post their ideas. I think it would be a huge benefit to them. I know that sounds too logical but I think it would be a shame if they didn't use a good source for coming up with new ideas which could boost ratings and give all of us old timers something new to look forward to on BB. I went into wikipedia and read some of the twists they've used on other versions of BB all over the world. Some of them sounded like a lot of fun. 6, I agree with you! The reveal is one of my favorite parts of the BB season!
  13. I'm back for another season of BB. If I could have one wish granted about this show it would be preventing the people in the diary room from manipulating the game. It's been pretty obvious that's been going on for quite a while now. I believe that's one of the reasons they don't allow the HG to talk about their diary room sessions. I want new people, new games and new twists. This show has been going on for a lot of years and they're overdue to have some new elements added to the show. I know that's wishful thinking on my part but we can always hope for change, right? lol The reason I'm not around here after BB is that I don't watch any other reality shows. My fall and winter are pretty much busy with sports and I don't have time for reality programs. Besides, I really don't care for them. I've watched BB since the first season and have really enjoyed it. I do hope this year is better than last year. I'm getting tired of seeing the same old faces. Give me new people with wild and crazy personalities. They seem to be getting a little better with including "older" HG meaning folks over 30, rofl So we're getting ready for Big Brother. Bring on the live feeds!!
  14. Wow! This is good news! I have several friends in Canada who will be thrilled. They've been saying for years they wished for a BB in their neck of the woods, lol Thanks for the news, Morty! It'll be fun to see their reactions to this.
  15. Welcome to the board, PoorRichard! I hope you enjoy your stay here. We have a very lively group who love to obsess over Big Brother! lol I've been an admin on a message board and I understand the reason for some of the rules placed in forums. They really try to prevent personal attacks, no attacking other BB message boards, etc... IMO the intent is usually sincere and all they're trying to do is keep a sense of harmony in that atmosphere. I'm sorry to hear you were banned but the way I see it, their loss is our gain! We love having new folks on the board so hopefully you'll grow to love Morty's like so many of us already have! I was thinking BB started around the 8th last year. I know they were already in the house on the 4th of July.
  16. Hi y'all! I've been pumped to see BB since I first saw the casting call in my local area in April! I really do hope we DON'T have any returning HG. I want a fresh season with no familiar faces. That is the one thing I loved about season one. It was all new and fun to watch! Hopefully they can get a new group in there which will have a broad diversity in personalities. That would be devine.
  17. I saw a post on here which said Rachel and Brendon are shopping around for a reality show based on their lives? Really? I don't see that happening. They couldn't get enough viewers for it to last more than a couple of weeks. If she goes down this road she may be very disappointed cause I don't see it happening. Steve, I hear ya. I honestly don't see those two staying together for a long time. I do hope they can make it together but I too have my doubts.
  18. Slim, not sure if you're directing the second paragraph to me but if you are I wasn't referring to a particular person, just the people who actually made the threats. I think there are many HG who go into that house with one plan but find they need to change it as conditions warrant. I personally think that Shelly was caught up in the game and lost sight of what she wanted to accomplish, especially when she got to talk to her family. That may have caused her to panic and realize she was off track. There isn't anybody who goes into that house wishing another person will win the money (except maybe for Jordan) and when Shelly woke up to see what she was doing she knew she had to change her tactics. Otherwise Jeff or Jordan was probably going to win the money. I don't blame Shelly for wanting to get Jeff out. He had become a strong player and had too many HG following him around like sheep. I'm not sure I would have used the approach she did but I also don't know if trying to sit down and discuss it with J/J would have accomplished anything. Jeff probably would still get plenty mad at her. If Jeff wants to lay all the blame on Shelly for being evicted from the house that isn't being fair. He screwed himself when he pushed the clown shoe out of his box and didn't win the veto.
  19. I find it absolutely ridiculous that there are people who have to take things to the extreme over a reality show. Death threats? Really? It's bad enough people feel the need to use negative adjectives when describing any HG but to be so immature you have to threaten someone's family is waaaaay over the top. I always liked Shelly. Every single person in that house lied and back-stabbed other HG but since Shelly did it to J/J she's the devil incarnate. Tearing down other people is totally unnecessary IMO. Of course everybody is entitled to their opinion but when folks start throwing around hateful and mean terms to describe another human being it's being a bully. That's what bullies do to others. You can try to justify it any way you want but it is what it is.
  20. Granted, every person's computer is different. I had that problem and did the following; I dumped my temp files, defragged then reboot. When it came back it was working smoothly. This may or may not help you but it solved the problem for me. Good luck!
  21. I loved it when she made Rachel cry. Cassi had Rachel figured out and never backed down from her bullying tactics. Rachel is such an insecure person it's rather sad. She constantly has to ask Brendon if he loves her. Why? Insecure. And I do believe Rachel gets very insecure around other women who are prettier than her. She really needs to get over that and learn to love herself. Otherwise she is going to go through life looking for satisfaction in those around her rather than finding it in herself. I think Cassi is a lot more secure in herself than Rachel. By far. I didn't want to see Cassi leave because she was always causing sparks and that isn't a bad thing when you want excitement on the feeds!
  22. Yana, thank you for your post. I appreciate you taking the time to do so. If Dick felt the need to take care of something outside the BB house that's his choice. Dani made the statement Dick lives for Big Brother so it must have been something important. The dynamics of the game changed when he left the house. These poor people have been so screwed up over the past several days I'm wondering if they'll ever mellow out enough to play the game, lol The best to Dick wherever he may be. I'll miss his crazy game play.
  23. I've thought a lot about this and I've come to the conclusion that Grodner would not have let him go if it wasn't absolutely necessary. They would want him to stay because they know he would increase the ratings for the show and that's always the ultimate goal. Anybody who knows Big Brother knows about Dick and the things he did his season. I can't see them allowing their "bread and butter" to just walk out the door without a good reason. Evil Dick was one of the most popular "hate to love" or "love to hate" house guests on Big Brother. He draws an audience and with the twists they came up with for this year he was going to be a good addition. I hate to see him go but that's the breaks I guess...
  24. I was looking forward to seeing the fireworks Dick was going to erupt in that house. We were gypped.
