I hope BB producers have their people reading the message boards and that they take to heart some of the comments. That is why I think it is important so speak our minds and hopefully we are heard. Okay, yeah I get the part they want a bunch of supposed "hot looking people" (although I sometimes wonder who the hell is judging on that) - but I have seen seasons with good looking older people. georgectv Posted March 17, 2008 Share Posted March 17, 2008 actually I don't mind if the HGs haven't seen the show before and don't "know how to play the game". Sometimes I think the shows would be better off if they had people on who haven't seen it before, so they don't come in with plans on what they are going to do. I often hear it said about Survivor after all these seasons, that people should have learned from watching prior shows/etc... but maybe that is where we get it backwards... does the show tend to evolve BECAUSE the players have watched and learned how to work the system? Afterall, didn't the selection of POV players get modified once the five-finger planned was discovered as a strategy? The HGs had learned of back dooring someone, but then realized it was no longer a guarantee with the random ping pong ball. On survivor, they added a hidden immunity idol to mix up the game and add another element of strategy to the game. I guess the question is if this is done because the contestants watch prior seasons and learn, or if the show/producers make changes to keep the show fresh and continue to keep viewer interest at a peak. I don't watch Deal or No Deal, but it seems like every time I see a commercial for the show, they are adding some new twist, increasing the number of $1million cases, or adding a celebrity or something to the show. In spite of the ratings for shows, it seems the philosophy is to tweek and change for fear of losing viewers. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
fizzle Posted March 17, 2008 Share Posted March 17, 2008 i dont mind when they put people in the house that have never seen BB... its the people that say they are big fans of BB and know all about it and then come in and contradict themselves.. say dumb things like "i wonder if the live feeds show everything... or the HOH room doesnt get put on the live feeds" but they do give everyone tapes to watch prior to going into the house... so even the players that have never seen BB can get a clue as to how the game is played. I think it was Ivette that said something about she was glad there were no cameras in that room. I am ready for a group of people that are not professional reality wannabes.
