  1. That was Vanessa. If the twin twist follows the format it did in BB5, then they will be switching places every 2 or 3 days. So, now that we're like 10 days in, they have probably switched at least twice. Switching at longer intervals would mean having to relay more information when changing places, and increase the chance of getting caught due to not keeping things straight, like people's names, and who you're supposed to be in an alliance with. (Not to mention people talking to you about supposedly shared experiences, which your twin was there for instead of you.)
  2. Jeff Weldon Age: 26 Hometown: Tampa, Fla. Current City: Tampa, Fla. Occupation: Account Executive Three adjectives that describe you: Charismatic, outgoing, and clever. Favorite Activities: Anything outdoors, boating, hiking, working out, and reading. What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: Not being able to listen to music. I live for good music and it's a huge part of my life. Oh, and being able to communicate with friends and family. Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: Dan Gheeling. He had a way to use his communication skills to persuade people—this is something so valuable, yet so many people lack the capacity to do. What are you afraid of: I'm afraid of spiders, small confined spaces, and occasionally heights. I've gotten past my fear of heights by engaging in several height-related activities. Finish this sentence: My life’s motto is… Live without fear of judgement. Live like today is your last. Don't dwell on the past or the future when the present is all that matters. We all are destined to be great, it's the small things we do each and every day that determine success or failure. What would you take into the house and why: A tub of protein, a bottle of my favorite alcohol, and a good book. Jeff admits he's finally ready to transition from d*uchey guy to gentleman—someday soon. He says he only dates attractive women, but knows that he needs to start focusing on what they have to offer besides their outer shells. He is an aggressive guy who negotiates business deals on a daily basis, so he knows that he has the competitive edge it takes to win the game of Big Brother. He is a sore loser who will do anything to ensure that he wins every competition. Most recently, he competed on the 26th season of The Amazing Race with a blind date partner he met at the starting line.
  3. Jackie Ibarra Age: 27 Hometown: Los Angeles Current City: Las Vegas Occupation: Professional Dancer Three adjectives that describe you: Passionate, adventurous, and fierce. Favorite Activities: Dancing, working out, cooking, and hiking. What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: Being away from the outside world for so long would be extremely difficult, especially with no form of communication. I am a very adventurous person who loves the outdoors, so I fear being stuck in a house for a long period of time may get to me after a while. What are you afraid of: Being buried alive. Finish this sentence: My life’s motto is… Life is better when you're laughing! What would you take into the house and why: I would bring my phone to keep in touch with family and friends. Also, I would bring my best friend, Stacey, and my French Bulldog! And In-n-Out burger! I could eat that every day! This self-proclaimed "Kim Kardashian" look-a-like is used to a fast-paced lifestyle. She's been a Miami Heat Dancer, a magician's assistant, and danced professionally for 10 years. She hustles to get every job she gets, beating out hundreds of other girls in the process. She knows she's sexy and isn't afraid to use it to get ahead. Typically, she can fly off the handle during conflict, but her strategy for Big Brother is to keep as cool and calm as a cucumber. Most recently, she competed on the 26th season of “The Amazing Race” with a blind date partner she met at the starting line. Together, they raced through four countries and placed seventh. With a loss under her belt, Jackie has something to prove this time around, so America is going to see the softer side of her.
  4. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! <inhale deep breath> AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. (and let us know if that works or not)
  6. I liked the concept of BotB, when I first heard about it. But after the houseguests quickly figured out the best way to deal with it (nominating the weak players and floater-types, so as not to get dethroned), which did not take long at all, it quickly became stale. Hopefully, the BotB will last a lot shorter this time than it did last year. (If they are changing twists every week, maybe we can hope this only last Week 1? Yeah, I doubt it.)
  7. I don't know. That link is deceitful, because it is actually their Amazing Race profile. (If you look at the link number, 214997, it is old. The current BB17 cast have link numbers from 215040 to 215053.) So I think that it's still possible it won't be them. Since they let in 8 the first night, but made one sit out HoH, it's reasonable that the one that sat out will compete with the 6 coming in on night 2. And to get us to 16, we might have 2 returning houseguests as some kind of coaches. Not much longer now until we find out on episode 2!!!
  8. There could be many different reasons, so instead of trying to figure it out, let's first see if using one of these alternate links will work for you. http://www.tvfanforums.net/chat http://www.tvfanforums.net/chat/blab.php
  9. Gishy, that's horrible! Really sad news. Maybe you can go "old school" and find a nearby friend or neighbour who is also a fan, and you can at least watch the show at their place (If not 3 times a week, maybe at least eviction night.)
  10. Janis, season 1 was cool and all, but way different. Not sure you'll have time to get through 1 and 2 before 17 starts. I suggest you put 1 on hold and start season 2, it's definitely worth watching! No veto power! Then, if you have time, and still want to, finish season 1. Just a suggestion!
  11. The place for discussion of topics encompassing many houseguests, alliance strategies, and just general thoughts about the season, etc.
  12. The last time we had the Prediction Challenge here at Morty's was for BB14 back in 2012. Interest/participation was way down from previous years, and neither our posters nor our moderators seemed to have missed it or mentioned it over the past couple of years. I think it just seemed like too much effort with so few people playing along. So I think its time has passed. I think we could get an unmoderated prediction thread going in the discussion forum, if people are interested, but since all official games have to be approved around here, we'll have to keep it informal and without scoring. More like just for bragging rights.
  13. Britnee's got the power, now she just has to use it wisely. Take herself off, for sure (that's a no-brainer, right?). Take Godfrey down? Probably. It all depends on how she believes the voters will vote. Since this will be done pretty much live (there may be a few minutes between when she replaces noms, and the actual voting, which won't get shown on TV live at the time, but may get shown on the subsequent episode, if something major goes down, as they just showed after the episode following the triple eviction), there won't be time to exact promises from people and see if they keep those promises, so she needs to figure this all out beforehand, and be as confident as possible about the probable resulting outcome. 7 houseguests left means that there are 4 voters (since the nominees don't vote, and the HoH {Ashleigh} will only vote in the event of a tie.) So if it's Zach versus Bruno on the block, how does Britnee think Sarah, Godfrey and Pili will vote (Britnee being the 4th voter)? If it's Zach versus Godfrey on the block, how does Britnee think Sarah, Bruno and Pili will vote (Britnee being the 4th voter)? Assuming she wants Zach up for sure, as her target, and since she can't put up HoH Ashleigh or PoV-holder Sarah, and would be a fool to leave herself on the block, that only leaves a third scenario (Zach versus Pili), in which case the voters would be Bruno, Godfrey, Sarah and Britnee. If any of the above options ends in a 2 to 2 vote, Ashleigh votes to break the tie, and Britnee is likely to believe that Ashleigh will keep Zach, so she is best to avoid that, which means it's safer for her to take Godfrey down and replace him with Bruno, since Bruno is more likely to vote to keep Zach, seeing how he used the PoV on him just last week, and Pili has been aligned with Zach for a long time now. So if she thinks about it in terms of who she believes is more likely to vote to evict Zach (depending of course who is left sitting on the block beside him), is she more confident that Godfrey and Sarah would vote to evict Zach over evicting Bruno, or more confident that Godfrey and Sarah would vote to evict Zach over evicting Pili? Whichever of the two scenarios she believes is the most likely to result in Godfrey and Sarah voting with her to make a total of three votes cast against Zach, in order to break up Zach and Ashleigh, is the scenario she should go with (and it won't matter who the fourth vote is {Bruno or Pili}, or how they vote). So she has to determine which option has the greatest chance of success to achieve her goal, and follow through with it. Now if she were actively seeking to get Bruno evicted, that would probably be a harder feat to accomplish!
  14. Fans have had some questions about Canada's Power of Veto this week, hopefully we can clear up some confusion. There are two options you can choose from when voting: 1) Forced Veto If you vote for this option then the Veto holder MUST Veto one of the two nominations. This would then force the current Head of Household to nominae a second person in their spot. 2) Double Veto If you vote on this option this would give the Veto holder the power to Veto one nomination, both nominations or to not use the Veto at all. Voting closes Saturday at Midnight eastern time and you can watch all of the fall out this week on BBCAN3! Source: https://bigbrothercanada.globaltv.com/theshow/blog/here's-how-canada's-pov-works/
  15. I saw them, and I saw their faces. But my interpretation was different. I imagined tham thinking "Oh boy! These guys are in for a rough ride. Thank God it wasn't us who had to deal with no furniture last year."
  16. Someone over at Global must be new this season, and doesn't understand the difference between being "nominated" and being "evicted". LOL Link: https://bigbrothercanada.globaltv.com/game
