  1. What I was looking forward to during the finale (which never took place) was a final 5000th "Holla!". I figured they would probably wait until after the votes were in, but before revealing the winner, but it never happened. Missed opportunity.
  2. That tie-breaker question was bogus. Julie asked how many seconds Part 1 of the final HoH took, from the starting horn until Cody won. The "correct" answer she quoted was 3671 seconds. However, when Victoria fell off (the first to fall), on the bottom of the screen it said that it was "1 hour, 14 minutes" into the competition. 1:14:00 = 74 minutes = 4440 seconds. And Derrick and Cody were still up there quite a while. (But no further updates on how long it took appeared on the screen.) Ultimately, it doesn't change the result of the Final HoH competition, since Cody's guess was higher than Derrick's, and yet, it now makes me question every tie-breaker question they've ever asked!
  3. When watching any season of any version of Big Brother, I'm often reminded of what the William Munny character (played by Clint Eastwood) says to Little Bill (Gene Hackman) at the end of the 1992 film "Unforgiven". After Little Bill says "I don't deserve this", William Munny replies, "Deserve's got nothing to do with it." (Fortunately, the Big Brother contestants live to tell their tales afterward, unlike Little Bill.)
  4. Not sure what this topic is supposed to be about (please use more descriptive topic titles in the future), but if you're looking for our chatroom, here is the link: http://www.tvfanforums.net/index.php?app=chat
  5. Use this link: http://www.cbs.com/shows/big_brother/favorite-houseguest-vote/ (It's dashes, not underscores.) Vote 20 times per day. Voting closes Monday, Sept 22nd at 9:59am PT.
  6. No, they have kept it up. Even now, in final 3, they haven't told Cody, but they did tell him that they have now "kissed and made up".
  7. My guess is he'll first remind everyone it doesn't even matter, because it all comes down to who wins the veto. Then he will probably ask for volunteers. Failing that, he'll try to get them to play rock-paper-scissors or odds-and-evens, with the winner being safe. And if that still doesn't work, well, there's always pulling coloured skittles out of a hat. Then, Derrick has to figure out if he should try to win the veto himself or not, since if he wins he will have to decide who he trusts to cast the only vote this week.
  8. If ever there was a time for Victoria to step up and win a competition, now would be a good time.
  9. Caleb, as outgoing HoH, you are ineligible to compete. His fate now lies in his own hands, as he must win the PoV. Otherwise, he will most likely be voted out.
  10. In a dramatic comeback on the final two questions and a tiebreaker, Derrick beat Cody for HoH. Nice guesstimate, Derrick! 420, eh!
  11. Sometimes, the timing works out in a way so that there's no point sending the evictee to jury house for just a day or two before bringing them back for the finale, so they just sequester them in a nearby hotel, under watch. But this is usually the second-last evictee (a.k.a. fourth place).
  12. It IS rather misleading at first glance. On the CBS website's page about Team America's missions, each mission's two options (that were voted on) are listed, with the winning option having "Winner" written diagonally across the top left corner inside a small red banner. And the page does NOT mention how many missions have been successfully completed or not. P.s. The "Team America" photo on the page now shows only Derrick and Frankie. (Link to CBS Team America page.)
  13. Actually, in these situations I think they've traditionally gone with the reigning HoH.
  14. Actually, according to the chart from your link (and my memory), Cowboy won the final Veto of the season (called the "Diamond" veto in Season 4, but not afterward), which made him the only one to vote in the final four. By evicting his half-sister Nakomis, he determined the final 3 of himself, Diane and Drew, which ultimately led to his placing second in season 5. So, all you really need is one crucial win, sometimes. (Then again, Dr. Will won the whole game in season 2 without any wins at all! He was nominated 4 times and only ever received one vote against him.)
  15. From my understanding, when he spoke about the number of people following him, he meant the total number on all his social media accounts, such as FaceBook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and so on. So the fact that he has onlyl 200,000 on YouTube makes sense.
  16. I believe mission B would be problematic, as if there were really an actual literal rat in the house, the houseguests would run to the diary room and insist that Big Brother send in an exterminator crew. I don't believe they will succeed with mission A, though, as the houseguests seem to very much enjoy eating, probably because there is little else to do in there.
  17. That's pretty much the same solution. (Just get rid of the first 2 sentences, because for no good reason at all you are using the 3 gallon container to fill up the 5 gallon one at the beginning. Nope, did not play any BB Hangman.
  18. I've already erased it, as I usually do once I finish it. But from what I remember, it was a group effort, with Cody starting it off.
  19. Cody's answer seemed to make sense to me. I think he said you fill the 5 gallon one, then pour water from it into the 3 gallon one until the 3 gallon one is full. That leaves 2 gallons in the 5 gallon container. Then you empty the 3 gallon container and pour the remaining 2 gallons from the 5 gallon container into the 3 gallon one, which leaves room for one more gallon. You refill the 5 gallon container, then pour water from it into the 3 gallon container until it is full, which leaves exactly 4 gallons in the 5 gallon container.
  20. With Cody winning HoH, seems pretty safe to assume that Derrick is safe for another week.
  21. I theorize that the nuance was that Paola and Caleb simply threw the comp by not really trying to win, while Christine actually tried to help the other team win, and THAT must be what is the "no-no" that is against the rules.
  22. I disagree. Throwing competitions is a legitimate strategy. Sometimes, you can have more to gain by losing (a competition). Dr. Will Kirby, winner of season 2, won mostly by throwing EVERY single competition, and by relying on his social game and puppet-master skills. Dan Gheesling also laid low for most of his winning season. Sometimes you have to lose small battles in order to win the big one. Forcing players to win competitions (whether they by physical, mental, skill or whatever) interferes with their strategies, and can mess up their games big-time. If they want to throw it, let them throw it. Tacking on punishments in addition to losing will just make them grumpier and more boring to watch. (As always, just one man's opinion!)
  23. Is Frankie a target? Is his bromance with Zach over? Can he weather the storm and survive this week? Only time will tell.
