  1. You know.. I really hope that we're all wrong. People are going on and on about this rumor like it's fact, and I would be so, so, so happy if we were all waaaaaaay off base.
  2. @ Waves at more familiar faces. Glad to see you all trickling in! =)
  3. It's a case of a little is good, so a lot must be better, but it just isn't! I think we all have favorite house guests, people we wonder about after the show wraps up. We're curious what happened to them, how they used the money, did they get married, did they break up with their girlfriend/boyfriend for the show mance. How would the old contestants from the past fair against these new contestants (especially true when you get a break out star on a new season, they always get compared to Dr. Will or if they're a female whose remotely pretty, to Janelle). The thing CBS doesn't get however, is that we'd be more interested in a wrap up show, a special "where are they now" episode or a true "all-stars" season, or if they wanted to do some sort of cross over show, a whole unique show separate from regular big brother, like they do with the MTV road rules vs real world stuff. It allows the franchise to grow and build, without ruining the show for long time viewers/fans.
  4. Why would Janelle leave her new husband and new baby to come back to BB? Don't see it happening. And the show Dani and Rachel are suppose to be on, is suppose to be a weekly show from my understanding Nebartist. I think if anything Rachel is helping with the show's pre-production and might be doing stuff behind the scenes. I love Rachel (I was one of the few who liked her in seasons 12 AND season 13, not just 13) but even -I- do not want to see her again this season. I actually feel as if it would be better for both her and Brenden, to just married and focus on that aspect of their lives instead of CBS and reality television stuff. I want to see a season of all new house guests, with a truly dynamic cast like the cast of BB10, with lots of fighting (not just cat fights) and the good old fashioned mental mind-games style of play.
  5. I dunno, I know the 80's are back in a lot of ways lately (keep seeing 80's flash backs in fashion trends lately .. bleh), but I am so not into the decor of this house. Doesn't look that cool to be honest. And the house doesn't seem big enough for more house guests, there table isn't big enough to hold enough seats, the couches around the living room don't seem big enough .. and the eviction wall for their names still only has 14 pictures shown. House doesn't seem big enough for 17 or 18 or 20 people. Unless there is some sort of secret room we're not seeing, or another house of some sort.
  6. Rachel is doing the reality check show on Super Pass with Daniele Denato or however you spell it (Dick's daughter from season 8/13). So no, Rachel will not be on the show as a HG this year.
  7. I don't mean whom won, I just mean .. the competition itself. Watching BB10 right now, and this Veto Ceremony having them transport raw onions has to be one of the cruelest/best contests to date. I absolutely HATE onions I would be crying so bad I couldn't focus. lol So it would be a true test of who wanted it more.
  8. Am re-watching Season 10, and after Jesse's eviction am watching Michelle run around going crazy after his loss. Which reminds me of an important rule for winning BB. Rule # 5467 If one of your friends/alliance mates gets evicted and you manage to get HOH, do not LOUDLY run around the house talking about getting revenge, or vengeance for someone's elimination, as you will only follow them out the door the next week. Use your week of "power" to redirect attention away from your former association and use your new found power to help secure your safety for the following week when you can not compete.
  9. aww okay. I know you've had off and on medical issues, glad you're still here with us all these many years later Morty. Thanks for the update =) Am really enjoying season 10 so far, with this many fights and such going on, I can only imagine what wasn't reported on tv must of been good.
  10. am watching old seasons on youtube so wanted to read the live feed updates but it is not showing on the drop down archive list?
  11. Wish I had the money for feeds this year, but alas.. Always next year, if there is a next year lol
  12. /comforts 6Borders. Lets try to think positively. Even if she tries to rig it, there is usually at least one-two house guests which has hitched their train to crazy-town and does something unexpected, that mucks up their plans. Lets hold hope this season will be better. Besides isn't Booger in jail or something for some sort of company embezzlement scandal he used to buy male escorts? At least that's the last I've heard of Boogie. And I doubt very much that Will will ever return to the series. He has pretty much said he is donezo. He has tried to distance himself from the BB franchise a lot in recent years, no doubt because he did the show originally in his 20's and he's now in his thirties, has established a genuine practice, and is engaged or just got married. He's settled, and I think he wants to be able to move on from BB. I think as much as fans might actually want to see Janelle, the same can be said for her. She has a new baby and a new husband... God, now i am feeling old, realizing that I have been watching this show since season 2, when I was in my 20's and I just turned 31 lol crazy how much my own life has changed since I first started watching this show.
  13. Every year I mean to do the same thing, but find that I end up disappearing until BB starts again. I consider Mortys sort of like a summer camp I go to every year, or like the single serving friends you meet on an airplane or bus .. I am always excited to get back and see what's new and exciting happening in people's lives, but when BB wraps up I am usually so burnt out that I need a break from the boards/posting.
  14. Sometimes I think the rumors would of made for a better show than whatever they wound up actually doing. It's always hit and miss which cast is going to be amazing and which cast is going to be boring. I think sometimes that BB gets so gleeful in the haha aren't we so clever twists at times that they lose chances to make for truly great casts. I mean .. BB5.. the DNA twist? Twins? Long lost brother/sister? Bleh.. I feel like they built the cast around their twist too heavily and it ruined the BB experience. Just like the whole "nerds" "jocks" popular thing kind of ruined / saved certain people it shouldn't have. I like twists that force house guests to adapt and make new decisions based on what the twist is, but not twists that completely destroy the game of BB or give certain house guests clear advantages over others. Sometimes I feel like BB gets away from the social aspect of what makes the game great for people. Here are a group of people from different backgrounds, part of the country, ways of living forced to live in a house and somehow make it work, all while secretly trying to back stab each other. It puts that human tension we all feel at the office, with our family or friends .. under a microscope and exaggerates it. When they move too far past that social experience, it ruins the game. So I honestly hope those twists are just rumors and not reality. Cause I do not want a reality tv cross-over. Not unless it was like 10 survivor alums vs 10 BB alums or something like that. But even then, I wouldn't want it to be a BB season, I would want it to be like road rules vs real world kind of stuff MTV does, where it's, it's own separate franchise.
  15. Says the girl with an orange butterfly avatar... /giggles. And ugh, I hope those twists aren't real. Being able to compete every HOH would suck. The whole point of being HOH for 1 week, is to use the time wisely to influence what happens the following week, because you can not compete and therefore vulnerable. If they were to take that away, that would just feel .. eww. Also, I don't want people from other shows to come on. I don't watch the other shows, but I don't like the idea of cross-over people. Creates too much fan loyalty/hatred for specific people off the bat. Before I even get a chance to know whom they are. It's one thing if it's former BB contestants coming back (which I have mixed views on) it's another if it's people from other shows. I would truly rather have 18-20 total strangers than 1-3 people come in, whom are "famous".
  16. But what is the purpose of the HOH then except to provide that person immunity for the week, because whomever they put up is not guaranteed to stay, and if the POV winner gets to pick the replacement all the time, why even have an HOH? I think as a once in a while twist to have the diamond power of veto or something along those lines is a nice twist, but to have a POV holder always have more power than the HOH? No thanks. Part of the reason why HOH is so entertaining is to see whether the HOH honors their alliance wishes or their own. The most effective HOH's I believe are able to do both, without making themselves larger targets.
  17. More or less accurate but there are a lot of things about that list which can work against you .. being first HOH can show you are "strong" unless another side alliance in the house blows up to cover your tracks. There is also a great deal of luck, and if you wind up being a producer favorite involved as things wont always go your way no matter how good a game you think you have.
  18. I tend to like the obnoxious, crying, annoying house guests that everyone else can't stand. I guess I am a root for the under-dog type of person, that and I think I see a bit of my own personality in there. I am a very internal person, and need to be able to retreat when I am upset by myself to deal with however I am feeling, but with a camera in my face, and people I can't stand talking behind my back, and the inability to retreat I so think I would turn into the "crier" of the house were I in the house. I really need my space as part of my "process" for dealing with stuff. Stripped of your emotional support and feeling unable to leave or really be by yourself I think is far more emotionally stressful than I think a lot of people give the house-guests credit for. I think I also tend to like people whom are genuinely themselves. You get a lot of people on there, that seem like they try to put their walls up and act respectable on television, etc -- which I think sort of defeats the purpose of reality television. You should be real, the good, the bad, the ugly imo, otherwise you just lose entertainment value for me. It has to be a balance, I don't want to watch house guests who never hold ANYTHING back, but neither do I want to watch someone who holds it all in. I think that Rachel did come to understand the mechanics far better. While it's true that Pandora's box totally helped Jordan and Rachel when they were down and out last season, I still don't think Rachel would of won, if people hadn't gotten to see her softer side, and she found a way to work it/appreciate the more finesse of the game. Which is why to me I really appreciate her. But then again, I am an a nominally in that I liked her on her FIRST season too, not just on her second one. Rachel to me just equals good tv, as much as everyone hates her lol Re: Lawon/Marcellas I don't mean they did dumb funny things in terms of them being "funny" house guests, I just meant they both made the dumbest moves in BB history. Which for me is entertaining. I enjoy it as a viewer because as much as the producers try to control the outcome of the show, they can't predict stupid. Not using the Veto on himself, or asking to be voted out so you can come back with a special power? I mean come on .. dumbest moves ever lol
  19. and then she totally ruined it, by attacking the vets straight off, she went from best position in house to worst lol The reason she gave still cracks me up. She said she got "bored". lol
  20. Frankly I like some of the old-timers more than the young, lets get drunk and be stupid because we think we're hot, wanna be models/actresses ... they already have a show like that, it's called Jersey Shore lol Another thing to keep in mind, the older average players seem to bring the most drama. I am not talking about the casts which are made up of one freakishly older player and one super super young person. No, I am thinking of the casts that have the oldest median age. Because it really is true that people don't necessarily mature as they get older, some people just get older. For me it's far more fun to watch adults behaving badly than young kids .. A cast where everyone was between 30 and 40 would be perfect for me. Your young 30's you're still young enough to be hot but also still trying to get all your stuff together.
  21. Slowpoke there wasn't any competition involved in the keys, and Dani was not the only person with a golden key, she's just the only one anyone talks about. The twist was designed to keep the vets safe. Essentially you won the Golden Key by your partner being sent home. Dani got hers because Evel Dick left the game prematurely. Had he stayed in the game, whose to say if either of them would of even gotten put up for eviction/earned a key.
  22. That's not all that surprising. People whom are a legend in their own mind (Like Evel Dick) tend to think that everything they accomplish is just because of their own genius. In his defense the people on his season really seriously had to have drank a whole lot of that Kool-Aid. That controversy though, whether or not it was just because of America's player, or whether or not it was all his game play is part of what keeps his legend alive. That and his daughter and him teaming up how they did. /shrug. He's an interesting and dynamic person, love him or hate him, he's interesting which is why so many people still want to talk about him.
  23. well keep in mind they now have to actually compete with another show of similar nature (Glass house) and last season was the highest ratings they'd had in a while, so that might mean the network is willing to throw them more money. Or maybe I am just hopeful. I am always torn about how much I want them to shake stuff up. On one hand, I have been a loyal and some might say fanatic fan of this show for years, on another hand it has been starting to feel all staged/or boring by mid-season the last few years. So there is that desire for them to really reach and truly do something unique. Some of their play on words ends up being buzz words we use in the game for years afterwards, like their DNA and DO NOT ASSUME nonsense. Though I could honestly live the rest of my life without ever hearing the word Saboteur again.
  24. Super-size... meh they are so going to have some sort of french fries HOH this year if they're going with that theme. I can already see Portia dawning her Ronald Mcdonalds wig and outfit. Or whoever plays the dumb sleeps all day blonde this season. I think 20 house guests seems like a nice round number. They seem to like round numbers. Guarantee either a few of 'em aren't guaranteed to get into the house, or there is a live eviction the first night ... as one of the "surprises". They've talked about a jury house vs real house game for a while so I wouldn't be surprised if we had 2 "houses" this season.
