  1. Oops! I must have forgotten about him because I don't find him that annoying. I think he is a surprisingly competent player who has a good social game and seems to be good at competitions. I think he will stay longer than some people think, if only to be used to do dirty work. If some of these people are smart, they will keep Gary in the house as leverage against the other stronger players.
  2. Alec & Peter - I think they both have a good chance to get far in the game. They both seem smart and aware of what's happening in the game, and not too hot-headed. Both seem well liked enough too. AJ - Seems really awkward and is not playing a great social game. Also, why does he always refer to himself in the third person in the diary room. "AJ only has to worry about his hair and outfit for eviction." Erm...okay. All of the girls (except Suzette) - Annoying, way dependent on their annoying little showmances, especially Liza who seems to be juggling three different guys. I can't wait to see them get evicted. Liza, Jillian, and Talla all seem so similar that I often times get them confused. Also, I find it particularly hilarious how they are always talking about their girls alliance, well, if they want a girls alliance they should probably stop voting out the girls. They could have voted out Emmett week one, and Aneal week two. Suzette - Loud, annoying, and her big mouth gets her in way too much trouble. Still, it seems that she had an uphill battle from the beginning with the way she got HOH. The first thing she had to do was lie about the phone call, and the worst first impression you can make is being a liar, and she got unnecessary blood on her hands. Topaz - Way to lazy, and doesn't contribute much to the game. She will ride Alec's coattails as long as she can. I am kind of surprised how much she gets asked to put on her mic. Why is she taking it off so much in the first place?! Talla - If I have to hear her moan and complain about how she is the maid of the house again, I will flip. Tom - Gives himself too much credit and is ultimately clueless about what is really happening in the game. He should be backdoored and evicted relatively soon. Aneal - Is way too useless and whiny, and not emotionally mature enough for the game. Danielle - Was a terrible game player, and surrounded herself with people who were at the bottom of the house totem pole. She didn't seem to try to make an alliance with anyone who could have actually have helped save her.
  3. I don't know, but we might get an idea later on in the season if we find out that calling in an exterminator might be necessary. Doesn't the US house get infested with roaches or something each season?
  4. I am indifferent to it. I don't particularly like it or even care about it, but it's not that bad (yet). The only good thing in my opinion is that it seems like it won't interfere with the game play all that much. It's not keeping people safe, the person answering it isn't getting platinum POV's, etc. It seems like it is there to simply be used to liven things up if the house gets boring or something like that.
  5. I never advocated the amount of polish that Grodner and her team invoke upon the US game, but a certain amount is necessary otherwise things look messy. BBUSA isn't even necessarily polished in my opinion, but just heavily manipulated. What I was referring to was the simple things and mistakes that are evident in the show, such as showing the replacement nominee before they have even shown the POV ceremony. It's not a big deal to us, I guess, but to people who don't watch the feeds or read the updates it probably is. Also, what happens when the HG's sing on this version? Are they allowed to, or do these houseguests simply not sing?
  6. That was the one thing that I was most disappointed with production wise. Also, they seemed to edit out Suzette's reason for her nominations. Overall, production seems much less polished than it does for BBUSA. I guess that's too be expected since it's so early in the very first season.
  7. Yeah, it would be nice to have older players to see how it would work up in Canada as compared to the US. When you say that you are ashamed of the prize, you mean how it's only 100k? Slice isn't going to have the financial coffers that CBS has, I guess. I definitely agree that she has mentioned it a lot, but it's only the second show so perhaps it will decrease during week 2.
  8. Why should you be ashamed? People on a reality television show aren't indicative of the what an entire country of people is like. If everyone in the US was like who was portrayed on BBUSA, most people would only be concerned about becoming big Hollywood stars. And since the same casting agency was used for the Canadian version, you can't be surprised that this is who you got. There is a specific quota of specific kinds of people that you are put on there (like the flamboyant gay guy, or the typical jock). If anything, I think the cast on this version is better than what we typically get on the US version.
  9. I think it was bad for Frank that he said what he did before he went out the door. Ian had no choice but to put Frank up after that.
  10. The first one to get the cork out of the safety jar is the only one who can be safe.
  11. I can certainly understand why you would turn it off. Having to watch Boogie strut around the house thinking he is the best thing since sliced bread makes me want to do the exact same thing.
  12. Well it depends on your station. My area has CBS and CW affiliates as sister stations, but in other markets it could differ (or there might not be one at all). It's really just the luck of the draw as to what they air (whichever will bring in more viewers). You can find links online that stream the show while it is airing, so maybe you could find one and bookmark it again just in case.
  13. I think they said the contract said that all terms were subject to change, so I don't see why they couldn't have gone back on that.
  14. It's not on in every affiliate, and I think it's up to the station as to what they air so there would be no reason for CBS to move it. FWIW, some stations move their programming. In my area the CBS and CW stations are sisters, so whenever the CBS station (KDKA) preempts programming it's on the CW instead. You could check to see if there are sister stations in your area.
  15. I think it should have been all have to press it instead of just one...but then they wouldn't have gotten the coaches if that had happened.
  16. He is able to compete. That's what Julie said...
  17. That's a more complicated twist than I expected it would be!
  18. It's because we all know that the coaches are coming in and Janelle will be winning HOH. It's almost a given.
  19. What I want to know is how he gets it that color. It's almost like a blonde color...does he dye it?
  20. Is he really 25? I don't believe it! He looks more like 35 or 40.
  21. "Celebrities" all around America will be calling after the show is over and asking him for a refund.
  22. This is because Janelle has no social game really. If she did, all of the houseguests in BB6/7 wouldn't have loathed her. Her only saving grace was that she was good at competitions; that's how she stayed so long in both seasons. Now that she currently can't use them to advance her in the game her flaws are highlighted. Everything might change next week, but still. Even if she does win, who is really going to give her any credit? Sure she will have won, but she needed THREE tries in the house to do it, plus countless production manipulation I am sure.
  23. Which in turn ruins the season. Though I am not so sure that this season would have necessarily been better with no returning players. Allison probably picked the cast for the express reason of getting the coaches further.
  24. If the coaches come into the game, hopefully the newbies will be smarter than last years bunch of sheep. If they band together and fight unlike last year, I think it could be interesting. But there seem to be a lot of useless people in the house (I am looking at you Ashley and Jenn and Danielle) so I don't have have much optimism.
