  1. That would be really crazy. David's mannerisms reminded me very strongly of Hayden. Word would definitely have gotten out by now if that was the case though.
  2. I'm pretty sure she just meant familiar because she resembles Rachel, not because people already know who she is.
  3. I see what you're saying and it is kinda of nasty to post this stuff about your daughter to the public even if it is all true. But this is Evel Dick we're talking about, not your average dad. He has built his fame around being shockingly blunt and candid in his opinion on everything he discusses and has a reputation for nothing being off limits. His outrageous life is a book he opened up to his fans and a big part of what intrigues them is his unusual and compelling feud with his own daughter. And I think that's why he has so many fans, because he isn't the standard celebrity who's private life is off limits for discussion. Would I want him as my father? NO WAY! But I do find him entertaining as a character. Also, Dani does not seem like the type to hold back if she has dirty laundry to reveal so I think the reason she is so vague and secretive of why she treats her father so bad is because she doesn't have all that much of a foundation for it. No, I don't in anyway think he was cut out to be a father (to a daughter especially) and should have wrapped it up but I think she uses her father as a scapegoat for everything she hates about her own life.
  4. How do you know exactly what time they are releasing all that? Did CBS state that it would be 3 PM Eastern?
  5. Maybe they won't be able to get MVP twice in a row, just like HOH? I still want to hear the details before I pass judgement on the twist. If the MVP is not revealed to the house then it can't simply be immunity because the HOH will be free to nominate them. If the MVP doesn't really have any protection from nomination then what's the benefit? Even if they get to choose the 3rd nominee, the house probably has a sense of who would appeal to the public and could still vote them out. I hope it isn't something ridiculously powerful like they are allowed to remove themselves and choose their replacement on eviction night or some silly nonsense like that.
  6. http://www.wfsb.com/video?clipId=9007489&autostart=true Julie Chen confirmed a few more details- An MVP will be voted on every week of the summer. Also, the MVP will be able to keep it a secret if they choose and will probably want to because they have some dirty work to do. Also, one (not two) out of three of the nominees will be evicted each week.
  7. Best Houseguest: Evel Dick Best Game move: Dan’s Funeral Stupidest game move: Lawon volunteering himself for eviction so he can go get a “super power” Best season twist: Season 5, twin twist Best House Design: Season 14- I found the crazy beds in the Have Not room and the wall of shoes in the bedroom and the Asian décor in the HOH kind of entertaining. Worst Houseguest: Lawon Best Alliance: Brigade Best Showmance: Brenchel Cry Baby: Khalia, Season 13
  8. Just be patient. I'm sure some exec at CBS will see your threat and make a last minute switch.
  9. Yeah, that poor bastard is the one that really has to suffer.
  10. I would guess that with nothing but pictures 75%+ of people vote who they think is hottest, 15% vote for the older motherly/fatherly-looking player and maybe 10% vote for the most unusual/extreme player with the crazy hair/piercings/tats/etc. If the hot ones are close enough to each other in hotness that their share of the votes are split a lot, then I could see someone unexpected winning. I still think there is just going to be one male and one female that clearly have the hottest pictures and they will get most of the votes but it is the hot guy that will win easily just because it seems more women vote for men than men for women, although don't have any empirical data to back that up.
  11. Don't bother. It's just going to go to whoever is the "hottest" and you know it.
  12. This just made me that much more hungry for information! Does the MVP get to choose the third nomination? Does America choose the third nomination (YUCK!)? Isn't the MVP thing going to be more of a curse than a blessing (Guess who the HGs are going to target as soon as they get the chance)? I know if I was in the game the last thing I would want to be known as is the MVP. If they could keep who the MVP is a secret to the other players, now that might be more fair and interesting. Maybe the MVP even gets to make an anonymous 3rd nomination? Except that doesn't help with floaters. And you know that even if producers don't directly manipulate the MVP voting than they will at least edit the show to favor their favorite. I really don't see anything you can do about floaters other than destroying the integrity of the game with some silly public vote.
  13. Ditto Well Julie Chen said that America’s vote will affect the nominations every week so I’m thinking the Power Player (PP) will have some sort of influence in nominations and maybe veto but not on the eviction votes. There are so many things it could be. Just a few ideas: -The PP is safe from nomination -The PP is safe from nomination/eviction -The PP can keep one or more people safe from nomination - HOH makes one nomination, the PP makes the other -The HOH makes two nominations, the PP makes one (could explain why Julie said there is a reason why there aren’t two nomination chairs in the living room) -The HOH chooses three nominations, the PP cancels one -The PP automatically plays veto -The PP chooses the replacement nom if veto is used -The PP chooses one or more veto players -The PP gets an advantage in the HOH or veto comps There are so many things it could be!
  14. UGH! America voted George W in office twice, they can't be trusted to vote on anything! I don't even know what the twist is and I already dislike it.
  15. That is an EPIC blog post! Of course there are always two sides to a story, but watching Daniele on the season 13 feeds extensively, I couldn’t reach any other conclusion than that she was one of the most two-faced, mean, nasty people I had ever seen on TV. And it sure didn’t look like an act. Is this nurture and not nature? Did Dick do something horrible to her when she was young that turned her into this beast? Well, he might not have been much of a father figure. He might not have been there much at all (she claims to have been raised by her grandparents). But he clearly did put a lot of effort into having a relationship with her over the last decade, which is a lot more than most deadbeat dads do, and if she really despises him that much than she could at least stop taking his money. Taking all that money from him over the years and then not even inviting him to the wedding or dropping a simple thank you. I have no respect for that. I’m having a daughter in September and I’m terrified she might turn into a Daniele. This stuff inspires me to be the best father I can be.
  16. I don’t mind returning HGs as much as most people either. They are generally people that have established themselves as having good entertainment value and that is why they are back. It can also be interesting to see how a veteran interacts with a different group of people. I’d like to see someone like Frank come back as he was fun to watch. That said, I think NO MORE than one out of every two seasons MAX should include returning HGs or it is being overdone and they aren’t giving new HGs the chance to build up some star power of their own. I’d like to see the prize money increased too. I think that BB is generally considered the poor man’s Survivor that serves to fill in the summer between seasons. I’d like to see BB just as respected.
  17. I personally thought the Brigade was the most well-constructed alliance ever. It wasn’t just the fact that they amazingly remained a secret all the way up until they chose to reveal their alliance at the end of the game, it was also their ability to control the votes and protect themselves from the start by having each member create a fake side alliance that created the illusion of the house being made up of nothing but a bunch of pairs, which almost always kept two Brigade members from being on the block at the same time. I think it’s a great and flexible strategy and the reason that that season was so boring was because of how dominant the Brigade was. There were a lot of dummies in the season, as there always are, but also some very smart players like Britney and Ragan, who got played big time.
  18. That was a great twist! That same season also had the siblings (Nakomis and Cowboy) that had never met twist, which was really awesome in concept but kind of fell flat since those two had absolutely nothing in common and Nakomis really seemed ashamed that that goofball was her brother.
  19. That's the best guess I have seen so far I'd say. I wouldn't mind them trying that for a season. Things could get ugly real quick (which is great!). I would hate to see that make the HGs feel like they have to play a more straightforward, honest game though as the lying/backstabbing is my favorite part of this evil show
  20. We agree again! The Brigade was the best alliance (secret one at least) of all time! Anyone going into the game should study them. I don't know if I'd call Chill Town a secret alliance. Maybe in the very beginning but Boogie was out so quick that first season and in All-Stars they were completely obvious to the point of calling themselves Chilltown in front of everyone. Yet they still made it to the end of the game, which is also remarkable. Two very different styles of alliances.
  21. How would getting rid of the POV solve the floater problem? If anything, I think that would make it worse as the HOH wouldn't hesitate to throw the strongest competitors up on the block, knowing that they wouldn't have that chance to save themselves. We'd end up with nothing but floaters at the end.
  22. Hmmm… interesting. I really hope this doesn’t mean declaring war on challenge throwers because that is a very legitimate strategy employed by the best and most popular to ever play the game (Dr. Will, Dan, etc.) I hope they are referring to the type of floater that simply doesn’t have any interest in playing the game strategically, coming on the show basically just to hang out and be on TV, who then ends up making it to the end because others pick up on this and drag them there (such as Porsche). In the most frustrating cases, a bitter jury sometimes even hands these people the win. If producers find a way to solve that problem without compromising the integrity of the game, I’ll be impressed. It doesn’t seem very feasible though without giving the public a say in evictions, which would ruin the game for me much worse than floaters.
  23. Hehe I was only half joking. I do love me some Brenchel melodrama! I believe there was another person on this board last season that loved them/missed them too but they may have already been discovered and banned... you can't be too obvious with your Brenchel obsession... the moderators are always watching... they are probably reading this right now... crap...
