  1. Heartbreak News Matt LeBlanc's Marriage Cancelled Melissa McKnight and Matt LeBlanc As it turns out, "Joey" may be the least of Matt LeBlanc's worries. The sitcom star and his wife announced the end of their nearly three-year marriage Thursday. The news comes just months after the couple's two-year-old daughter was said to be undergoing tests for a neurological disorder, and just weeks after LeBlanc's disappointing "Friends" spinoff, "Joey," was put on hiatus for the second time this season. Divorce papers were filed in Los Angeles, with LeBlanc doing the filing, according to the National Enquirer, which was first out with word of the split. "The dissolution is amicable," an NBC spokesman said in a statement on behalf of LeBlanc and wife Melissa. "They remain devoted parents and friends." Matt LeBlanc and Melissa McKnight LeBlanc, 38, and the former Melissa McKnight, in her late 30s or early 40s, wed in May 2003 in Hawaii. The ceremony was attended by all of LeBlanc's female Friends costars: Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox Arquette and Lisa Kudrow. The couple has one daughter, Marina, 2. Additionally, Melissa LeBlanc has two children from a previous marriage. In January, People reported that Marina had been suffering seizures and having difficulty walking. The New York Daily News suggested the child was suffering from cortical dysplasia, defined by Medcyclopaedia.com as an abnormality of the brain's cerebral cortex. Just two years ago, LeBlanc called himself "the luckiest guy in the world." "I have two beautiful stepkids, as well as my new daughter, Marina," the actor told Calgary Sun at the time. "I'm so great that I keep waiting for the roof to fall in." Thanks to Joey, LeBlanc didn't have to wait long. 'Joey' After a top-rated, 10-year run on "Friends," LeBlanc was handed the keys to his own sitcom in 2004. "Joey" moved his "Friends" alter ego, struggling actor Joey Tribiani, from New York to Los Angeles. The comedy got off to a decent start with critics and audiences. It closed out its first season averaging 10.2 million viewers, about half of what "Friends" had delivered in its final season. When "Joey" returned last fall, Joey Tribiani became more successful; the show less so. NBC benched the comedy after the November sweeps. Earlier this month, the network moved it to Tuesday--briefly. After one dismal showing--a fifth-place finish behind a Spanish-language novella--"Joey" got yanked from the schedule again. While it hasn't been formally canceled, it isn't expected to be asked back for the fall, either. In addition to his ratings struggles, LeBlanc found himself in a public relations bind last summer when The Enquirer got him to go on the record about a night out at a strip club. LeBlanc and his wife "split up" in January, The Enquirer reported Thursday. The couple had been together for years prior to their marriage. They first announced their engagement back in 1998.

He was in intensive care. Rose, anchor and executive editor of PBS's "The Charlie Rose Show," had mitral valve repair surgery, according to Howard Rubenstein, a spokesman for the television anchor. The mitral valve connects the upper left chamber with the heart's main pumping chamber. If it leaks or narrows, surgery may be need to repair or replace the valve. Rose was admitted to The Georges-Pompidou European Hospital on Saturday, March 25, a day after he was examined by cardiologists there, Rubenstein said in a faxed statement. After consulting with his own cardiologist in New York, Rose flew on Friday, March 24 to Paris from Syria where he had been on location for his television program. Rubenstein said he talked with Rose on Tuesday, and that he had "sounded real good." He is expected to recuperate in Paris before returning to New York. His doctors expect him to be back at work by the end of April. In the meantime, his program will be hosted by various journalists and foreign policy experts chosen by his staff. "The Charlie Rose Show" airs on more than 200 PBS affiliates around the United States.

  4. Engagement News 'Biggest Losers' Matt and Suzy Gain Love 'Today' Matt Hoover and Suzy Preston They signed up to lose the pounds. But ended up finding love. And now, they hope it will last a lifetime. "Biggest Loser" lovebirds Matt Hoover and Suzy Preston are now engaged. Matt popped the question to Suzy on NBC's "Today" morning show on Tuesday, March 28. "Suzy has no idea our relationship is about to get a little closer, I hope," Matt said in front of the "Today" show audience, and millions watching on TV, as an unsuspecting Suzy looked on. "I have gone through a lot of changes in the last year. You've seen me at my worst and you've seen me change into a man that you love," Matt said, as he dropped to one knee on national television. "Suzy, I want to keep changing and I want you to be by my side." Matt Hoover and Suzy Preston He then opened up the ring case, showing Suzy the bling. "I've had this made for you and if you'd like to have that, I'd like to give it to you and ask you to be my wife," he said. After a short pause, a big smile crossed Suzy's face and she happily said "Yes" as she bounced around in excitement before Matt put the ring on her finger. Congratulations quickly came from the "Today" hosts and Al Roker asked the new bride-to-be if she had any idea the proposal was coming. "No," she beamed. "I'm shaking," Matt said afterwards. "Today" show host Lester Holt joked that he was worried for a moment when Suzy paused before giving her answer. "I've never been asked before," she laughed. "I wasn't sure when I was supposed to say it." Holt joked, "Usually pretty quickly." Matt Hoover and Suzy Preston "I didn't know if she was going to say yes or not," Matt smiled. Matt thinks their shared experiences as finalists on "Loser" (he won the $250,000 grand prize; she took home $25,000 as second runner-up) gives their romance a unique foundation. "We have a lot in common. Going through something like we went through is life-changing. We are not the same people we were before all this and we are both at a point in our lives where we know what it's like to be fat and miserable - and what it's like to be happy and healthy," Matt said. The happy couple recently tried their hand at acting, with a cameo on the daytime soap "Passions."
  5. Baby News 'Tiny Dancer' for Drew Lachey Drew Lachey Forget "Dancing with the Stars," champ Drew Lachey has a much more prized title now: Daddy. Lachey and wife Lea, both 29, welcomed their first child, a baby girl, daughter Isabella Claire Lachey, on Thursday, March 23, in Los Angeles, California. Lachey's representative released the "Tiny Dancer's" vital statistics as weighing in at 7 lbs. 2 oz. However, no details were released about the newborn girl's toe-tapping prowess. "Mom, dad and baby are all happy and healthy," publicist Holly Shakoor said in a statement. As are Uncle Nick and the babe's grandparents. "We are thrilled and very excited about it all!" Lea's father, Dan Urra, who flew to Los Angeles earlier this week with his wife to be with their delivering daughter, told Us Magazine. Drew Lachey as Mark in 'Rent' Drew Lachey, who formerly crooned in 98 Degrees along with big brother Nick, has known the former Lea Dellecave nearly as long before tying the knot in October 2000. The two met in fifth grade, were high school sweethearts and, unlike Nick, even maintained their romance amid a professional partnership: Lea Lachey is a choreographer and dancer who toured with 98 Degrees in both capacitites. And her coaching apparently paid off. Last month, Drew Lachey and professional dance partner, Cheryl Burke took home the coveted--if, as he noted, "ugly"--trophy as winners of ABC's second season of "Dancing with the Stars." During the competition, he even credited his pregnant wife with "helping me with my posture, my feet," per People Magazine. As for his post-victory plans, Lachey was already looking forward to some quality hoofing time with his sure-to-be daddy's girl. "In a couple of years my daughter will be cutting a rug around me," he said at the time. "I'll hold her hands, and she'll be dancing on my feet. I'm looking forward to that." Cheryl Burke and Drew Lachey Burke, meanwhile, said she expects her partner to be as proficient at fatherhood as on the dance floor. "He's going to be a great father," she told People. "He will not spoil his child, that's for sure. But he's so loving and he's going to love his baby like no other." While Lachey is priming up for a major bout of diaper duty, he will get a temporary, and likely welcome, reprieve next month. The new papa has just been named as co-host of the Miss USA 2006 Pageant on April 21 alongside "Access Hollywood's" Nancy O'Dell. The event airs live on NBC from Baltimore, Maryland.

The HBO hit comedy's publicist from hell gave birth to a baby girl on Friday, March 17, People magazine reports. "Everybody is at home now and doing great," the actress' publicist, Rene Riddinger, told the magazine. It's the second child for Mazar, 41, and her husband of nearly four years, Italian jazz musician and producer Gabriele Corcos. The duo welcomed their first daughter, Evelyn Maria, into the world via an at-home birth on July 12, 2002. The incident resulted in the "Entourage" star getting a massive blood transfusion after problems took place during delivery. No word on whether she opted for a home birth this time around. Debi Mazar Corcos and the Mazar tied the knot on March 16 of the same year, with something of a Hollywood spin. Ellen Burstyn, who costarred with Mazar at the time on the short-lived CBS series, "That's Life," married the duo--Burstyn is an ordained Sufi high priest. "She read passages about love from the seven holy books--the Koran, the Torah, the Bible--and the whole thing took 20 minutes," Mazar told New York Magazine last summer. "It was the most beautiful ceremony I've ever been to, and not just because it was mine." Of her hubby, Mazar told the magazine, "He drives a motorcycle, he cooks . . . it's almost like he's gay." The "Jaws" star has three children, daughter, Emily; sons Benjamin and Harry Spencer from his first marriage to Jeramie Rain which ended in divorce in 1995. His second trip down the aisle was to Janelle Lacey which also ended with divorce. "She clearly is head over heels in love with Richard, who is captivatingly funny. They were like two young loves who couldn't seem to get enough of each other," added Perrine, who might as well teach in the department of too much information. The impromptu wedding came a day after Dreyfuss spoke in front of a crowd of 400 at a luncheon honoring James Madison donors and scholarship recipients. In his speech, Dreyfuss said that in addition to being an actor he had also wanted to be a teacher. 13. Elopement News 'School of Rock' Black Graduates To Marriage Jack Black and Tanya Haden "King Kong's" Jack Black is one up on his even more hirsute costar: In the end, he got the girl. The big-screen funnyman has eloped with his girlfriend, musician Tanya Haden, People reports. While there's no word on when exactly the couple tied the knot, one thing's for sure: Black's new father-in-law couldn't be happier. "They love each other very much," renowned jazz bassist Charlie Haden told the magazine. "We're thrilled." Black's publicist, Matt Labov, was much more reticent, however. He declined to confirm or deny the report. Black, 36, and Haden, 34, first met while attending Crossroads High School in Santa Monica, a school heavy on the performing arts, though they were never romantically involved. It was only last spring that they reconnected, shortly after Black's split from his longtime girlfriend, comedian Laura Kightlinger, and began dating. Jack Black "I had a crush on her," the "School of Rock" star told GQ magazine last January. "We weren't, like, close buddies. She was too pretty, and I was scared to talk to her." According to GQ, the duo bumped into each other last April at a mutual friend's birthday party. As fate would have it, Black's two-man band, Tenacious D, was performing at the party. "And Tanya was there, and as usual, it was like it always was," Black said. "I got really nervous and I talked to her. . . and it's been great. I'm really crazy about her." The newlyweds' relationship indeed seemed to be fairy tale-like from the start. Shortly after their relationship began, Black recounted to GQ, "I obsessively compulse over things, and she's the center of my obsessive-compulsive energy vortex of pain right now. I can't stop thinking about her." Jack Black Haden, like her famous father, is a musician, having played cello in the Haden Triplets with her sisters--Rachel and Petra--and yes, they're really triplets. Petra Haden recently released the acclaimed a cappella cover album, "The Who Sell Out.". Tanya Haden also has worked as an animator. According to In Touch, Black proposed to Haden just after Christmas, sealing the deal with a $220,000 ring from jeweler Neil Lane. As for Black, prior to his surprise nuptials, he had been linked with writer/comic Kightlinger since 1997, appearing together on countless red carpets and frequently engaging in PDA-heavy antics. The duo quietly split at the beginning of last year. Unfortunately for the new twosome, their honeymoon period may not last as long as they would've hoped. Black is set for a busy year, with no less than five upcoming films, including the comedy "Nacho Libre," where he plays a Mexican priest who moonlights as a martial arts master and the romantic comedy, "The Holiday," opposite Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz. Tenacious D's Kyle Glass and Jack Black Black is also set to appear with the near-to-his heart Tenacious D in the "Pick of Destiny." The latter is a fictionalized biopic, and will tell the tale of how he and buddy Kyle Glass came to form their stoner-beloved acoustic metal band. All three films are due out this year. Now that he's gone groom, Black might also be cashing in his "plus one" for the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. The comedian is set to host the kid-centric kudos April 1.
  14. George Michael Arrested in Drugs Probe George Michael LONDON - British singer George Michael was arrested on Sunday, February 26 on suspicion of possessing drugs after he was found slumped in a car in central London, a police source said. Michael, 42, who has sold more than 80 million records worldwide during a 25-year career, was arrested in the Hyde Park area of the capital early on Sunday, the source said. A London police spokesman issued a statement saying a 42-year-old man had been held on suspicion of possessing Class C drugs, a group in British law that includes cannabis, tranquilizers and some painkillers. "We were called by a member of the public to a man seen slumped over the steering wheel of a car," the statement said. "He was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled substances." He was bailed to return to a police station in late March pending a police investigation. George Michael Michael's manager and publicist could not be reached for comment. Under British law, anyone convicted of having Class C drugs can be jailed for up to two years and face an unlimited fine, according to the Home Office (interior ministry) Web site. In a front page report, The Sun newspaper said the singer was found in a dark-colored Range Rover parked on Hyde Park Corner, one of central London's busiest intersections. The unsourced report said he was taken into police custody and was examined by a doctor. He had his photograph and fingerprints taken and was released after more than seven hours, the report said. It is not the star's first brush with the law. Michael was arrested in April, 1998, for engaging in a "lewd act" in a public toilet in Los Angeles, after which he ended years of speculation by announcing that he was gay. George Michael He told Reuters in an interview last year that he was giving up the world of pop, saying he found the media attention and celebrity "unbearable." The singer had a string of hits in the 1980s with the band, Wham! before forging a successful solo career with albums such as "Faith" and "Listen Without Prejudice, Vol. 1." His Brazilian boyfriend Anselmo Feleppa died of an AIDS-related condition in 1993, and Michael fought a legal battle with his record label Sony in the early 1990s before being bought out in a deal reported to be worth $40 million.
  15. Baby News 'Love Monkey' Adds To Family Tree Tom Cavanagh We're not quite sure how this all figures into the Intelligent Design/Darwinism debate, but the former "Love Monkey" man has added another branch to his family tree. TV vet Tom Cavanagh and his wife, Maureen, welcomed a daughter on February 10, People reports. Alice Ann Cavanagh was born in New York City and is the couple's first child together. None of her vital statistics have been released. The actor, 37, and his wife, 35, a deputy photo editor at Sports Illustrated, met on a New York basketball court in 2002 and tied the knot in Nantucket two years ago. The baby news no doubt softens the blow from the recent cancellation of the CBS dramedy "Love Monkey": At least Cavanagh will get to spend more time with the offspring. The network shelved the series earlier this month after airing just three episodes. Tom Cavanagh and the cast of 'Love Monkey' "Love Monkey" followed the adventures of four single male thirtysomethings in New York, with Cavanagh playing Tom Farrell, an indie record exec who loses his job and his girl in the same day only to bounce back with the help of his buddies, among them Jason Priestley. CBS' party line is that the show has simply been put on indefinite hiatus, its return is pretty much a lost cause. "There's no scheduled return date," a network rep said. CBS had initially ordered seven episodes of the midseason replacement. Low ratings were blamed for the show's brief run, as it averaged just 8.1 million viewers, dropping to just 5.4 million in its last airing. But despite a diminished presence on the small screen, the former "Ed" star still has plenty to keep him busy. In addition to his diaper duty, Cavanagh recently wrapped production on the big-screen family drama, "How to Eat Fried Worms." The film follows a fifth grade boy who goes up against the school bully and sees a change in the class dynamics. It hits theaters August 25.

She was previously married to Nicolas Cage, Michael Jackson and Danny Keough, who is the father of her two children. The bride's mother, actress Priscilla Presley, walked her daughter down the aisle and gave her away, Bloch said. Daughter Riley Keough was maid of honor and son Benjamin Keough was a groomsman. The best man was Presley's first husband Danny Keough. Also attending the wedding were Lockwood's parents, Vivian and William Lockwood. Lockwood was Presley's musical director and is listed as executive producer on her 2005 album "Now What." Presley lives in the Los Angeles area but Bloch said he didn't know where the couple planned to reside.

  18. 3 Doors Singer Downed Brad Arnold Forget Kryptonite, 3 Doors Down needs to worry more about wet roads. Frontman Brad Arnold is recovering at home in Biloxi, Mississippi, after suffering major injuries resulting from a car wreck earlier this month, per a posting on the band's Website. Arnold, 27, was riding shotgun and his wife, Terika, was driving on a rural Mississippi highway during a driving rain storm on February 1, when she lost control and skidded off the road. "They were coming back from a casino, hit some kind of water on the road," band mate Todd Harrell told The Associated Press in an interview. "The car hydroplaned, went down a high embankment and they hit a tree. I guess if Brad hadn't been wearing his seatbelt, he'd probably be dead now." Brad Arnold According to the band's site, Arnold sustained several severe lacerations and bruises but is expected to make a full recovery. Harnell said that Arnold received "35 or 40 stitches in the side of his face," but that his wife somehow managed to escape injury in the crash. No other cars were involved in the incident. "He had a plastic surgeon come in and work on him, sewed his ear back on," Harell said. "He's going to be all right. He was hit hard, though." 19. Heartbreak News 'End of the Affair' for Fiennes Ralph Fiennes and Francesca Annis It's not such a Fiennes day for Ralph. Ralph Fiennes and his girlfriend of nearly 11 years, British actress Francesca Annis, announced their separation on Tuesday, February 7, just two days after reports surfaced that "The Constant Gardener" was not a constant companion and has carried on a two-year affair with a Romanian singer. "Ms. Annis confirms today that she and Ralph Fiennes are to separate," Annis' London-based law firm, Schillings, said in a statement. According to Britain's Mail on Sunday tabloid, Fiennes, 43, admitted to having an ongoing fling with Romanian singer Cornelia Crisan, 31, after meeting at a party nearly two years ago. Ralph Fiennes and Francesca Annis "He was a cheat," Crisan told the paper. "He used me to be there always for him, whether he needed someone to talk to or wanted a cuddle or to make love. As time went on, I started to see more clearly, to realize that I didn't want him at all," she said. For his part, the two-time Academy Award nominee denies ever having been unfaithful to Annis, 62. "It has been a difficult time for the both of them, particularly as they have not even seen each other since the revelations broke," an unnamed source close to the couple is quoted as saying in the Daily Mail. Francesca Annis and Ralph Fiennes "Seeing all their private details laid out in all the newspapers has made them both think about their future together. Things have not been good for quite a while." Per Schillings, the veteran stage actress has already begun legal action against the newspaper for defamation and invasion of privacy over a story claiming she had forgiven Fiennes for his alleged affair. The camera-ready couple first met in 1995 while costarring in a stage production of "Hamlet," with the actor in the title role and the actress portraying his mother. Both ended relationships in order to be together: Fiennes to his wife of 12 years, "ER" actress Alex Kingston and Annis to her photographer husband, Patrick Wiseman, with whom she had three children. Fiennes, who appeared onstage in Dublin Tuesday for the opening night of his play, "The Faith Healer," had no comment on the split. The actor will make his way back to London next week for the British Academy Film Awards. He's nominated for Best Actor for his work in "The Constant Gardener," which nabbed a leading 10 nominations.
