In a written statement to The Associated Press, Guagenti commented, "We are confirming that Brad Pitt is in the process of becoming the adoptive father of both children." The press release continued, "No further comment is being made at the present time." The couple has been romantically linked since the filming of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." Angelina Jolie holds her son, Maddox with Brad Pitt who is seeking to adopt him. For months, rumors have been circulating about the extent of Jolie's off-screen relationship with Pitt. Other photos show Pitt, Jolie and Maddox at Luton Airport outside London. Both children were adopted by Jolie. Zahara is just under a year old. "We determined he had something to drink but was not over the legal (impairment) limit," Clark said. "We suggested that he not continue to drive." Vaughn parked the vehicle, described as a white van or truck, at a nearby resort, Clark said. He said Vaughn and Aniston then got into the car of a friend who had been following them. Vaughn and Aniston met on the set of 'The Break Up.' Clark didn't have any details on why Vaughn was stopped early on Tuesday, November 29. Police said the patrolman who pulled over the vehicle smelled alcohol on Vaughn's breath. 13. Bret Michaels Dodges Bullet Bret Michaels Somebody's gunning for Bret Michaels. The Poison frontman literally dodged a bullet, or at least a pellet, escaping injury after someone fired a single shot into his tour bus in the evening of Monday, November 21. The "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" singer was inside his luxury coach when the incident took place outside the Rumble Seat Bar and Grille in Chicopee, Massachusetts, where he was due to perform. In a statement, Michaels' manager says the rocker was not hit by the projectile, but he "was struck in the face by flying broken glass." The release goes on to say that "this was not a random drive-by shooting due to the shots being fired directly into the living quarters at the rear of the bus." It also claims that "throughout his career, Michaels has been the target of numerous death threats investigated by the FBI." Michaels himself says in the statement that he will soldier on. "I want to thank all of my fans in the Chicopee area for staying out last night, and I will be back." But local authorities are downplaying the seriousness of the incident. "It appears to be a simple case of vandalism," says Sergeant Christopher Lareau of the Chicopee Police Department. Bret Michaels Speaking by phone on Tuesday, November 22, Lareau confirmed that the left rear window of the bus had been shot out, but that he believed the weapon involved was a "pellet gun." He added that there were currently no suspects. In his statement, Michaels asks that any tips be sent to his Website, bretmichaels.com, or the police. "Hopefully, with the help of many people, we will catch the person who did this and they will be brought to justice," the rocker says. The tour bus tagging caps a rough year for members of one of the biggest hair metal bands of the late 1980s. Last month, a Los Angeles judge sentenced Poison guitarist C.C. DeVille to 80 days in jail after he pleaded no contest to driving under the influence and causing injury. As for Michaels, he is due in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, for a show Tuesday, November 29 followed by a Thursday, December 1 concert in Cincinnati.
  14. Gary Glitter Facing Child-Sex Rap by Josh Grossberg Gary Glitter HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam - Gary Glitter is in a heap of trouble. The faded glam rocker, best known for the ubiquitous sports anthem "Rock and Roll Part II," was arrested on the morning of Saturday, November 19 by Vietnamese immigration authorities on charges of child molestation as he tried to board a flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok, according to published reports. The news comes two days after the Vietnam's foreign ministry revealed that Glitter, whose real name is Paul Francis Gadd, was wanted by police for questioning regarding allegations he had sex with two girls, one of whom was 15 and the other only 12, while living in the southern resort town of Vung Tau. The age of consent in Vietnam is 16. The bouffant-wigged British crooner allegedly committed "lewd acts" on the girls. If found guilty, Glitter could face up to 12 years in prison for obscene behavior, while a charge of child rape could carry the death penalty, which would be carried out by firing squad. Gary Glitter "Having sex with a 12-year-old girl, regardless of whether he had her consent, is still considered child rape under Vietnamese law," a police officer in Vung Tua told the BBC. Glitter, 61, had been residing in a rented seaside house since March. But he vanished Saturday, November 12 after local newspaper reports claimed several underage girls had been seen at his home. He also reportedly was kicked out of a local nightclub for feeling up a teenage barmaid. Investigators went to Glitter's home after seeing the newspaper accounts. Although Glitter had already gone, the police discovered the two girls. It's not known whether the entertainer paid to have sex with them, but a police official confirmed a probe has been initiated to look into the girls' claims. Gary Glitter "We can already say he had sexual relations with Vietnamese adolescents," Do Minh Dan, deputy director of Ba Ria-Vung Tau provincial police, told reporters Sunday, November 20. British consular officials have reportedly been in touch with the "Do You Wanna Touch" singer and are assisting him with an attorney. This isn't the first time Glitter has run afoul of authorities. He pleaded guilty in Britain in 1999 to 54 charges of child pornography after kiddie porn was found on his PC. Glitter ended up serving two months in prison and was placed on a child sex offender list. After his release, he went underground, turning up in Cuba and then Cambodia. He was expelled from the latter, though no charges were ever filed or any crime was alleged to have been committed, and eventually settled in Vietnam.

Upon closer observation, the Bice's dog, Gracie appears to still be the real baby in the family with one of newborn Aidan's pacifiers in his mouth. "American Idol" runner-up Bo Bice has had quite a year. In less than 12 months, he's married Caroline Fisher, 25, his longtime girlfriend; moved into a new home in Nashville (while offering his old house in Alabama to a family who had lost their home in Hurricane Katrina) and changed his son Aidan's diaper for the first time, People reports in its latest issue. Since his first single, "Inside Your Heaven," debuted on the pop chart at No. 1 in July, Bice has also collaborated with Carlos Santana on the guitarist's new CD. He's about to tape a concert special that will air on the Oxygen network day, December 11. And, to the delight of 'Idol' fans, his debut album, "The Real Thing," will hit stores on day, December 13. "It's been pretty hectic," he says. Currently Bice is taking a quick breather at his six-acre Nashville spread with his wife and new son. As for Aidan's birth in September, Bice says calming his wife while she was in labor came naturally to him. Aidan Michael Bice "This is going to sound awful, but we've had so many litters of kittens with our cat Caboodles, and it really wasn't much different from that," he says. "You sit there and try to soothe your cat and tell her everything is going to be all right. That's pretty much what I did with my wife." He pauses before adding: "My approval rating just went through the floor, didn't it?" Not likely. "Bo's the best dad," says Caroline. "He'll just sit and stare at Aidan. He loves him with all his heart." He's also a hands-on dad: "I was up at 3 the other morning with a bottle in my hand," says Bice. And that's a blessing, he adds: "That wasn't the kind of bottle I'd have in my hand five or six years ago at 3 in the morning." In his early 20s, Bice readily admits, he was a hard partyer. In 2001 he was arrested on cocaine possession charges, and in 2003 he was charged with marijuana possession. Both charges were later dropped. "I went through treatment and did the whole court thing and weekly screenings and everything," he says. It was around that time that he met Caroline. Bo Bice with legendary Country Rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd perform the classic 'Sweet Home Alabama' on 'American Idol's' season finale. Caroline was a waitress at the bar next door to the Birmingham, Alabama, music store where he worked. Although they were just friends at first, "she was a big part of me turning my life around," he says. "We knew we were soulmates." Bice also began attending a local church. "My perspective on life changed," he says. "There's not a morning I see a sunrise and don't give full glory to God for it," Bice said. These days, even though he has performed before millions on TV, he says he most enjoys singing for an audience of one: Aidan. He'll even accept some criticism from the little guy. "If he's crying when I'm singing, I'll try to change the key and see what he says," says Bice. "Aidan's a new form of entertainment around here." And if there's ever a "Baby Idol" show, watch out, says his dad: "Hopefully we

The twosome announced their plans to wed Wednesday, November 16 at an XBox 360 party held at a private home in Beverly Hills, where Stewart proudly showed off her sizable diamond engagement ring to the Hilton sisters, who were also in attendance. "It's almost too big," Stewart gushed to Us Weekly. "It's beautiful." 'Laguna Beach's' Talan Torriero The duo's commitment to each other was possibly reinforced by the not so near-death experience they shared last week when Hilton's beau, Stavros Niarchos, crashed the Bentley in which the foursome were riding. The hard-partying crew walked away from the car crash unscathed and uncited, even though the non-driving (and still underage) Torriero was caught on camera by TMZ.com remarking, "I'm the only sober one." Torriero attained celebrity heights--at least with the MTV set--last year, when he was chosen to be a central figure on "Laguna Beach" as a high school junior. Though his reign on the show officially came to an end with the conclusion of 'Laguna's' second season on Monday, November 14, the SoCal native is determined not to let his 15 minutes peter out too quickly. Kimberly Stewart "I'm doing an album, which is very exciting," Torriero told MTV News in September. "I can't tell you what label I'm with, but it's a really big label push." Beyond his musical aspirations, Torriero said he may also try his hand at the acting game. "I've been acting since I was young," he told MTV News. "Now I get to take what I'm doing and what skills I have and use it to my advantage." As for Stewart's professional life, rumors that she was replacing Nicole Richie as Hilton's "Simple Life" sidekick never came to fruition, despite Hilton's reported campaign for her to do so. In the meantime, the gangly blonde has been working as a model and hitting the party and shopping circuits. The engagement is the first for Torriero and the second for Stewart, who was previously engaged to musician, Cisco Adler. No wedding date has been set.
  19. Police Search for Gary Glitter in Vietnam Gary Glitter HANOI, Vietnam - Authorities said Thursday, November 17 that they are searching for former British rock star Gary Glitter over his alleged relationship with a Vietnamese teenager. Foreign Ministry spokesman Le Dung said officials have confirmed that Glitter, 61, was residing in a home in southern Vung Tau city and had applied for permanent resident status in Vietnam. Glitter, whose real name is Paul Francis Gadd, rose to fame with glam-rock songs in the 1970s, most notably his only U.S. hit, "Rock and Roll Part 2," a largely instrumental song that has been a staple at stadium sporting events for years. Among his other songs hits were "I'm the Leader of the Gang (I Am)" and "Do You Wanna Touch." In 1999, Gary Glitter was convicted in Britain of possessing child pornography and sentenced to a brief jail term. Glitter fell from grace in 1999 when he was convicted in Britain of possessing child pornography. He served half of a four-month jail sentence before being released. He later went to Cambodia and was permanently expelled in 2002, though Cambodian officials did not specify his crime or file charges. Dung said that Glitter had left the house on November 12, and police are seeking his whereabouts. "At present, relevant authorities Ba Ria Vung Tau province are trying to trace this gentleman, and clarify the relationship between this gentleman and a Vietnamese juvenile," he said. According to Dung, authorities have conducted interviews with a 15-year-old girl who they found in the home rented by Glitter. "If evidence of a (legal) violation is found against Mr. Paul Francis, and especially evidence of sexual child abuse, I believe that very strict legal measures will apply to him," he said. In Vietnam, the crime of sexually abusing a child can lead to the death penalty.

  21. Brooke Burns Hospitalized Brooke Burns Former "Baywatch" beauty Brooke Burns is in a Los Angeles hospital after suffering a fractured neck bone in a pool mishap last week. But the actress is expected to make a full recovery and "be back to normal" in a few weeks, her manager, Barbara Stark, tells E! News. Stark says that Burns was swimming at her home late last Thursday, November 10 when the accident occurred. Burns dove into the pool, but misjudged the depth and hit her head on the bottom resulting in the injury. Burns, 27, sustained a "slight fracture in one of her neck bones," Stark says, but did not suffer a broken neck or spinal injury. The actress is hoping to be discharged from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center by Tuesday, November 15. "She is very blessed and very lucky," says Stark. Bruce Willis and Brooke Burns heated up the pages of the tabloids with their steamy romance in 2004. Burns rose to fame as a star on "Baywatch" from 1998 to 2000. She also starred in Fox's short-lived 2004 beach-based TV drama, "North Shore." Her feature credits include "Shallow Hal" and "Single White Female 2." The Dallas-born beauty is also known for her off-screen liaisons. She has a five-year-old daughter with ex-husband, Julian McMahon (of "Nip/Tuck" fame), and her relationship with Bruce Willis, which lasted 10 months before ending in 2004, earned her plenty of face time in the glossies. Stark says Burns will be good to go by January, when she's slated to begin filming the WB midseason replacement show, "Pepper Dennis" with Rebecca Romijn.
  22. Baby News It's 'Late Night' with Conan's Baby O'Brien Conan and Liza Powel O'Brien Conan O'Brien's got plenty of late nights ahead of him--and they have nothing to do with his day job. "The Late Night" host and his wife of three years, Liza Powel O'Brien, welcomed their son, Beckett O'Brien on Wednesday, November 9 at 8:27 p.m. in New York City. Beckett weighed in at 8 pounds, 4 ounces and is the couple's second child. Beckett's big sister, Neve, was born in 2003. The peacock network statement proclaims, "Mother, baby and father are all well." O'Brien, 42, met Powel, an ad executive, in 2000, when she appeared on his show during a skit on advertising. The couple dated for nearly a year and a half before tying the knot in January 2002 in her hometown of Seattle. While O'Brien has long dominated his late-night slot, he will--eventually--bring his trademark shtick to an earlier audience. Last year, Jay Leno announced on-air that his fiery-haired comrade would be taking over "The Tonight Show" when he steps down in 2009. For now, there's no word on when new papa O'Brien will resume his 'Late Night' hosting duties, but it may be sooner rather than later. Last night's episode, originally scheduled to be new with guests Sarah Silverman, Donald Trump and Patti Smith, was replaced with a repeat featuring Will Ferrell and band Louis XIV. As of press time, NBC's Website lists Thursday night's episode as new, with guests Robert Downey Jr., Steve Irwin and musical guests Alison Kraus & Union Station.

In 2001, Alphin and Rich were among the founders of a new country movement called the "Muzik Mafia," responsible for nurturing such artists as Cowboy Troy and Gretchen Wilson, whose hit "Redneck Woman" was also co-written by Rich. 25. Reconciliation News Denise and Charlie Rekindle Romance Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards' once doomed marriage seems to have weathered the storm. For the second time in recent months, Sheen took to late-night television Thursday to profess his belief that things with Richards "are really good." The "Two and a Half Men" star was a guest on the "Late Late Show" and when asked by host Craig Ferguson about the state of their relationship, Sheen displayed his wedding band-clad finger. "That's a pretty good indication," he said with a smile. Richards filed for divorce from Sheen in March, citing irreconcilable differences. Though she never revealed the reasons for her actions, Sheen has publicly denied that the split came about as a result of any infidelity on his part. Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen However, Sheen's not above offering some insight into why he was given the boot. "I think the one thing I would point to as a primary reason, basically, is that I was a gigantic ass," he said on "The Late Show with David Letterman" in September, adding, "It's the first time I got dumped in my life." Sheen and Richards met on the set of the independent film, "Good Advice" in 2000. They were married in 2002 and their first daughter, Sam, was born in 2004. The couple's second daughter, Lola, was born in June. Despite their rocky relationship, Sheen was by Richards' side for the delivery. Since Lola's birth, the couple have frequently been photographed together, along with their children, and Sheen seems to have remained determined to patch things up. "I made a commitment to this woman that I love, this family that I love and I realized this can be fixed," Sheen said in September. Apparently, he was right.
