  1. Heartbreak News 'Honeymoon' Over for Gabrielle Union Chris Howard and Gabrielle Union The honeymoon is over for "The Honeymooners'" Gabrielle Union. In a brief statement late Monday, October 31, her publicist announced the actress' split with former NFL running back Chris Howard. "Gabrielle Union and Chris Howard have separated after four years of marriage," said Lisa Kussell. "The couple remains close and asks that you respect their privacy at this difficult time," Russell requested of the press corps and the paparazzi. There was no word on whether a divorce was forthcoming and no reason was given for the separation by their representatives. Union, who currently costars in ABC's supernatural series "Night Stalker," and Howard, who played three season for the Jacksonville Jaguars, met at a bowling alley. They dated for two years before marrying in May 2001. It was the first marriage for both. They didn't have any children. Chris Howard and Gabrielle Union News of the breakup came just two days after Union's 32nd birthday, which will likely go down as her worst. Just a week before, the "Bring It On" star was inadvertently drawn into a battle between her high-powered PR firm, BWR Public Relations, and the owner of a hot Hollywood nightclub. An email written by BWR's Holly Shakoor and quickly circulated to Hollywood in-boxes called for a boycott of Club Mood because owner David Judaken's allegedly scuttled a planned b-day bash for Union because she is black. "I want to make you all aware of this so you can discourage your celeb clients from going and also doing any events with him," Shakoor wrote. Judaken, in turn, insisted that he would never make such racist remarks. "All the statements written in her email are untrue," he said. Gabrielle Union and Chris Howard "To say that this event was canceled over race or creed is hurtful and slanderous," Judaken said. Facing a potential lawsuit, BWR soon backtracked. "BWR apologizes to Mr. Judaken for any harm to his reputation that may have been caused by the false allegations," the firm said in a statement. "If BWR could withdraw this claim from the court of public opinion, it would," the firm continued in their statement. To which, Judaken replied, "I appreciate BWR's prompt investigation of these claims and their integrity in taking appropriate action to remedy this situation." Union, meanwhile, declined to be drawn into the brouhaha. Aside from the struggling "Night Stalker," which airs Thursdays opposite CBS' "CSI," Union has a small role in the Gwyneth Paltrow dramedy, "Running with Scissors," due in theaters next year.
  2. Baby News Another Ledger on the Books Michelle Williams and Heath Ledger "The Brother Grimm" is now a happy father. Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams became first-time parents Friday, October 28 after welcoming a daughter into the world, according to Us Weekly and Extra. Matilda Rose Ledger reportedly made her big debut in Brooklyn, where the couple is currently residing. The "Dawson's Creek" alum, 25, and her Aussie beau, 26, began dating last June after meeting on the Canadian set of the upcoming Ang Lee gay-themed western, "Brokeback Mountain," in which they play husband and wife. The publicity-shy couple has been trying to keep their relationship on the down-low. Though they have not confirmed it, several published reports indicate Ledger and Williams are engaged, but no date has been set. None of the baby's vital statistics were released to the public either. Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams portray husband and wife in the highly acclaimed western, 'Brokeback Mountain.' The actors were equally hush-hush about their pregnancy, leaving the tabloids to speculate by virtue of "belly watch" alone. Even after the birth was widely reported, Williams' publicist was mum. "At this point we are not commenting," Mara Bauxbaum said recently. While several Australian newspapers report that native son Ledger will be bringing his New York-reared companion and their new baby Down Under once promotional duties for 'Mountain' ends, he won't say for sure. "I am actually thinking of going to live in Italy," the actor said earlier this year while promoting another upcoming film, the romantic comedy, "Casanova" with Sienna Miller. "We have a few places up our sleeves. I would much rather work in Europe than in America." Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal co-star in Ang Lee's gay-themed oater, 'Brokeback Mountain' Ledger first earned his status as heartthrob material in the teen romantic comedy, "10 Things I Hate About You." He flirted with the A-list with a high-profile role alongside fellow Aussie Mel Gibson in "The Patriot" and then as the lead in "A Knight's Tale." In addition, Ledger merited a reputation as a lothario off the movie screen as well. He has previously been romantically linked--and unlinked--with older women Naomi Watts, Heather Graham and "Roar" costar Lisa Zane. For her part, Williams gained popularity as Capeside's vixen-next-door, Jen Lindley in the WB hit, "Dawson's Creek," where she starred for six years alongside another soon-to-be maternity ward visitor, Katie Holmes. Michelle Williams and Peter Dinklage in 'The Station Agent' Of late, Williams has focused on art-house projects, including "The Station Agent," "Me Without You" and "The United States of Leland." Prior to coupling with Ledger, she was linked with Bright Eyes' singer Conor Oberst and "The Royal Tenenbaums'" bit player, Donal Lardner Ward. In addition to plenty of diaper duty, the new parents have a lot on their respective plates. Mama is set to shoot the drama, "The Hawk is Dying," opposite Paul Giamatti and former 'Dawson's' love interest Michael Pitt, next year. Papa, meanwhile, wraps up promotional duties on "Brokeback Mountain" and "Casanova," out November 30, before starring in an untitled surfing drama. The highly anticipated "Brokeback Mountain," costarring Jake Gyllenhaal, hits theaters December 9.

  8. Baby News 'Blossom' Baby in Bloom Mayim Bialik . . . Then and Now "Blossom" has blossomed indeed. All grown up former child star, Mayim Bialik, has given birth to a baby boy, her publicist confirmed to E! The child, born Tuesday, October 11, in Los Angeles, California, is the first for Bialik and husband, Michael Stone. Bialik's manager, Judy Coppage, said both baby and mom are doing "fine." Bialik's representative would not divulge the name or vital statistics of the newborn at this time. Until recent appearances on Showtime's "Fat Actress" and HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm," Bialik, now 29, had been keeping a relatively low profile in Hollywood since the demise of "Blossom" a decade ago, according to a recent interview in People magazine. Bialik has been focusing instead on her education--and what she described as a "rebellious phase." Of course, "rebellious" is all relative. Bialik made those comments just before she graduated from UCLA in 2000. She subsequently went on to pursue a Ph.D. in neuroscience, where she met Stone, a fellow student. Mayim Bialik and Renee Taylor in 'Kalamazoo?' Bialik's breakout role came as a young Bette Midler in the 1988 film, "Beaches." She followed that up with guest stints on "The Facts of Life," "Murphy Brown," "MacGyver," "Empty Nest" and "Doogie Howser, M.D." before landing what became her best known role as the spunky, wisecracking teen, Blossom Russo on the 1991-95 NBC sitcom, "Blossom," that costarred Joey Lawrence and Jenna von Oy. Aside from a recurring role on "The John Larroquette Show," Bialik spent the rest of the decade mostly doing voice over work for such shows as "Hey Arnold!," "Recess," "The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest," "The Secret Files," "X2: Wolverine's Revenge" and more recently, "Kim Possible." She also has added her talents to independent movies such as "Kalamazoo?" with Renee Taylor. Bialik upped her profile in March by cameoing as herself in two episodes of "Fat Actress" opposite Kirstie Alley. Two weeks ago, she appeared on "Curb Your Enthusiasm," playing Jodi Funkhouser, a lesbian who briefly becomes straight and then becomes gay again--all due to Larry David's meddling.

Tom Morton, a reporter for the Casper Star-Tribune, said Lee appeared to be injured when sparks began flying as he swung above the stage suspended from a wire, back and forth among several drum sets. Another witness, Del Kinswoman, described the pyrotechnics as Roman candles. A spokeswoman for the Wyoming Medical Center said she had no information on Lee. The rocker's Los Angeles-based publicist didn't immediately return a phone message left on the morning of Thursday, October 13. There is no word about pending Motley Crue concert dates. Motley Crue had performances scheduled for Friday, October 14 in Bismarck, North Dakota; Saturday, October 15 in Rapid City, South Dakota and Sunday, October 16 in Sioux City, Iowa, according to their Web site. Ray is also about to enter a familar Oprah publishing territory with her own magazine, "Every Day with Rachael Ray" as well as an eleventh cookbook. Cusimano is a New York entertainment lawyer by day and rocker by night with his band, The Cringe. In a recent Newsweek interview, Ray sang the culinary praises of her new husband: "If you can believe it, John can hold his own in an apron. A big line guys use with me is 'I can cook.' So I always asked them, 'OK, so what did you make last night?' Ninety percent of them say chili," Ray explained. Rachael Ray "John told me he cooked tilapia with tomatillo and a maque choux - a Cajun dish of corn, cream, bell peppers and tomatoes. He had me at tilapia," Ray giggled. Ray later incorporated her fiance's coup pickup line into a recipe, John's Fish, in a '30 Minute' book. "Don't we look like brother and sister?" a beaming Ray asked the interviewer. "We are incredibly in sync," she says. "We cook all the time," Ray says, beaming again. "Well, when I have time." You get the feeling no one's watching the clocks on their nights in. When asked to explain how the Food Network star inspired his current single, "Burn," Cusimano said the song was about his feelings toward Ray and not about her culinary ability. "When Rachael is with me I 'Burn' whether it's with love or desire or friendship or just the weight of my feelings." John Cusimano in the recording studio. Even though the wedding's location takes place beside an Italian castle, Ray would like everyone invited to her wedding to know that it's okay to dress casually. "You can come in blue jeans if you want," Ray told Newsweek. "I'm going to wear a dress I picked out in 28 minutes. It's Vera Wang, but it was the cheapest one in the store." Quick and inexpensive

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise announce happy news Even in fast-moving celebrity circles, where Renee Zellweger can go from single to married to awaiting an annulment in nine months, the Cruise-Holmes relationship has evolved at lightning speed. Before April, when the duo began making very public displays of affection, it seemed unlikely that Hollywood's reigning box-office king would share a conversation, much less a paparazzi shot, with the onetime "Dawson's Creek" TV star. Last fall, in an interview with Seventeen, Holmes spoke of the nearly 20-years-older Cruise only in hypothetical, schoolgirl-crush terms. "I think every little girl dreams about [her wedding]," she told the magazine. "I used to think I was going to marry Tom Cruise." 17. Baby News? Chris Cagle Sings 'Anyone But Mine' Chris Cagle Over the last few days, Nashville star, Chris Cagle's life has provided enough fodder for an album's worth of material. The "Anywhere but Here" crooner released a statement on his web site Tuesday, October 4 acknowledging that he is not the biological father of girlfriend Tammy Wheeler's baby. Wheeler's son, Cannon Dale, was born over the weekend, though no further details were released. "As many of you are aware, I had been anxiously awaiting the addition of a new baby to my life," the statement reads. "The baby has been born, and both mother and child are in good health. The "Chicks Dig It" songster was previously married to Texas schoolteacher Elizabeth Filer from 2001-2003. The couple reconnected after having an earlier relationship that ended nearly 12 years prior. In the duo's time apart, she had been married and had two kids of her own. "Those kids were the best thing I've ever found when I wasn't looking for anything," Cagle told Country Weekly in 2003. "But I wasn't looking for children. I wasn't sure about that," he told the magazine. "But those babies are precious." He rose to fame in 2001 after the rerelease of his debut album, "Play It Loud." The record spawned two number-one singles, "Laredo" and "I Breathe In, I Breathe Out." Cagle is currently on tour supporting his third album, "Anywhere but Here," which was released Tuesday, October 4 on Capitol Records.
  18. Lindsay Lohan in Car Crash . . . Again Lindsay Lohan "The Insider's" own Victoria Recano witnessed a traffic accident the afternoon of Tuesday, October 4 involving teen superstar Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay's black Mercedes convertible SL65 collided with a red van on Robertson Blvd. in Beverly Hills at around 4 p.m. Victoria reports she saw Lindsay having lunch at the Ivy restaurant and being surrounded by photographers before exiting and driving down the street where the accident occurred. The airbags in Lindsay's car were deployed and the "Herbie: Fully Loaded" star and her passenger left the vehicle and sought shelter in a nearby antique store. "They jumped out so fast I believe they left her bag in her car," Victoria said. The man who was driving the van was taken to a hospital. Lindsay was also taken away in a separate ambulance. This isn't the first traffic mishap for Lindsay. On May 31, the star of "Freaky Friday" was allegedly trying to flee photographers when one of their vehicles struck her car, the LAPD said. She told us her car was "totaled." "It just got a little out of hand," she said. "I handled it very well and I was very calm about it and people were actually kind of surprised. I'm thankful that my brother and sister weren't in the car." Lohan Taken to Hospital After Car Crash Lindsay Lohan Lindsay Lohan and two other people were taken to a hospital Tuesday, October 4 after the actress' black Mercedes-Benz convertible collided with a van in West Hollywood, authorities said. Witnesses said Lohan was trying to avoid paparazzi photographers when the crash occurred. Lohan and a female passenger in her car suffered minor injuries, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Sgt. Diane Hecht. The driver of the van, which was knocked into a parked vehicle, suffered moderate injuries, Hecht said. The identities of Lohan's passenger and the male driver of the van were not immediately released. The accident, was witnessed by a number of people, including a reporter for the syndicated television show "The Insider." Victoria Recano, a reporter for "The Insider," told The Associated Press she saw Lohan and a passenger run into an antique store immediately after the collision. Javier Ramirez, who works at the store, said he recognized Lohan. "She was very upset," Ramirez told the AP. "She kept saying, 'Oh my God, oh my God, I can't believe it.'" Ramirez said Lohan and her passenger left after a few minutes and although both were shaken up, neither appeared badly hurt. Lindsay Lohan Television news footage showed a badly damaged black Mercedes outside the store with both its driver- and passenger-side air bags inflated. The sheriff's department said the driver of the van appeared to be turning in front of Lohan's car when the vehicles collided. There was no evidence alcohol was involved in the crash, Hecht said in a news release. Witnesses said dozens of paparazzi photographers had been following Lohan through the area before the crash. At one point, according to Lori Satzberg, 43, several photographers tried to take pictures of Lohan as she shopped at a clothing store. The photographers then followed her outside to her car. "She got into her black Mercedes across the street and they literally were like sitting on her car, trying to take pictures of her, she was like yelling at them to get off," Satzberg said. The crash was the second one Lohan, 19, has been involved in recent months. Police said the star of such films as "Mean Girls" and "Herbie: Fully Loaded" was attempting to evade a paparazzi photographer in June when the photographer crashed his car into her Mercedes. She suffered cuts and bruises in that crash but did not seek medical attention. The photographer was arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon. Police said it appeared he deliberately crashed into the actress' vehicle. A new state law signed Friday allows victims of paparazzi assaults to file lawsuits seeking up to three times the damages they suffered. The law goes into effect January 1. Lohan Bends Her Benz Lindsay Lohan Lindsay Lohan could have used a little bit of that "Love Bug" magic Tuesday, October 4. As it was, the "Herbie: Fully Loaded" star could not avoid a messy car crash in West Hollywood that left her and two others hospitalized. Lohan, 19, was behind the wheel of her black Mercedes-Benz convertible when it struck a maroon Chevrolet Astro Van shortly before 5 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. News footage of the scene showed Lohan's Mercedes nearly totaled, with both airbags deployed. The Astro Van was also seriously dinged up. Victoria Recano, a reporter for "The Insider" and "Entertainment Tonight," was working on a story in the area and witnessed the accident. She said that Lohan was "driving really fast" when her car collided with the other vehicle. Lohan and her passenger, whom Recano identified as the actress' assistant, initially appeared to be unharmed. Recano said Lohan and her passenger ducked into a nearby antiques store, apparently to avoid paparazzi and TV cameras. However, according to the sheriff's department, Lohan and her passenger were later taken by ambulance to an unnamed hospital for treatment of "minor injuries." The unidentified driver of the van, meanwhile, was rushed to the hospital with "moderate injuries." Lindsay Lohan sits in her damaged car in a prior accident earlier this year. She has been involved in three crashes this year. The sheriff's department is investigating the accident. A spokesman could not say whether any charges would be filed, but said that "alcohol does not appear to be a factor." Lohan's publicist, Leslie Sloane, told E! late Tuesday, October 4 the accident was paparazzi-induced. "This is another example of the paparazzi endangering citizens," she said. Sloane refused to comment further as "the matter is still under investigation." Per the Los Angeles County Sheriff's incident report, the van driver had been traveling north on Robertson Boulevard in front of Lohan when he apparently made a U-turn to pull into a parking spot and was struck by the actress. His vehicle in turn slammed into a unoccupied white van parked on the street. Javier Ramirez, an employee at the Hideaway House antiques shop, said Lohan and her passenger darted into his store following the accident. "She was very upset," Ramirez told the Associated Press. "She kept saying, 'Oh my God. Oh my God. I can't believe it.'" Lindsay Lohan According to Recano, Lohan and her companion had been walking near power lunch spot, The Ivy shortly before the crash and had been mobbed by a phalanx of photographers. But Recano said none of the two dozen paparazzi at the restaurant appeared to be chasing the actress at the time of the crash. This is Lohan's third traffic accident in the past 14 months. On May 31, she suffered minor injuries after a paparazzo intentionally rammed her car, according to police. The incident left Lohan "shaken up and extremely upset," her publicist said in a statement. Photographer Galo Ramirez was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and released on $35,000 bail. He is awaiting trial. And in February, Lohan was sued by two Los Angeles residents for rear-ending them in August 2004 and leaving them with continuing "pain, discomfort and physical disability." That suit is pending. Other Driver In Lohan Crash Speaks Out Lindsay Lohan Lindsay Lohan, whose car crash in May led to a state law aimed at reining in celebrity photographers, has crashed again, this time after witnesses said she was swarmed by paparazzi. Lindsay and a female passenger suffered minor injuries Tuesday, October 4 after the actress' Mercedes-Benz convertible collided with a van. Lindsay was spending her day having lunch at the Ivy Restaurant and shopping on Robertson Blvd. in Beverly Hills. She also spent part of the day dodging the paparazzi. Witnesses said Lindsay had been shopping at a clothing store when she was confronted, and that dozens of photographers had been following her before the crash. "There were about 30 photographers outside covering the store; the poor girl just was shopping and they were just like hounding her," said Lori Satzberg, 43. "She got into her black Mercedes across the street and they literally were like sitting on her car, trying to take pictures of her, she was like yelling at them to get off," said Satzberg, who was shopping with her 13-year-old daughter. The black Mercedes-Benz convertible driven by Lindsay Lohan with its air bags deployed is seen on Robertson Boulevard in West Hollywood. However, on Wednesday, October 5, the sheriff's department released a statement saying that paparazzi were, in fact, not a factor in the accident. "Preliminary investigations have revealed that paparazzi were not a factor in the traffic collision, and the matter is being handled as a traffic collision only," the statement said. In addition, Access Hollywood spoke to the man who was driving the other vehicle involved. Raymundo Ortega told Access' Lizza Monet Morales that he was looking for a parking place on his way to work as a busboy at the Newsroom Cafe when his van was struck by Lindsay's black Mercedes. The impact caused his van to collide with a white parked van. "I didn't know it was her, I didn't recognize her," Ortega said. "All I knew was that she was driving really fast. I mean, she had to be going at least 75 miles an hour. All she needed was wings for the car to fly." Ortega added, "I imagine if I had hit someone, I am going to ask them right away if the other person is OK. But she did not do that with me." The scene of the accident showed the skid marks from Lindsay Lohan's car in front of Hideaway House Antiques. "There was just this gigantic, huge explosive sound like a bomb going off," eyewitness Katherine Starr told Access. Starr said, "You could actually hear the airbags exploding, and then in that split second . . . Lindsay Lohan obviously, ran into the Hideaway Antiques Store." Paramedics arrived at Hideaway House Antiques and checked Lindsay's vital signs. While in the store, Lindsay was bleeding, and stained a $5200 French walnut chair. According to Javier Ramirez, who works in the store, Lindsay was extremely shaken up. "She was very upset," said Ramirez. "She kept saying, 'Oh my God, oh my God, I can't believe it.'" Lindsay and the female passenger in her car were taken to nearby Cedars Sinai for examination. Ortega was also taken by ambulance to Cedars, where x-rays were taken. He was released with what he says is a sore neck. Both cars were towed and according to police, there was no evidence alcohol was involved in the crash. Lindsay Lohan's black Mercedes-Benz convertible took the brunt of the impact in front of Hideaway House Antiques. Access heard from another eyewitness, "I think that maybe the paparazzi caused this because she was speeding, trying to run away from all the pictures." According to eyewitnesses, Lindsay was followed by paparazzi all afternoon, but this is nothing new for Lindsay. Back in May, she was involved in a traffic accident with her same car, avoiding a photographer. That crash was credited with prompting passage of a measure Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed into law on Friday calling for steep financial penalties for paparazzi who commit assaults in their efforts to obtain celebrity photos. The new law allows victims of paparazzi assaults to file lawsuits seeking up to three times the damages they suffered. The law goes into effect January 1. Shortly after that first accident, Lindsay spoke to our Billy Bush about it. "I understand that that's their job and it's always gonna be there to an extent, but when you're running someone off the road, that's a little bit much," she said.

He changed his name early in his career in order to try to make his own way in acting without benefiting from his uncle's reputation. He chose the name 'Cage' after the Marvel comic book hero, Luke Cage, Power Man. Besides being cast in numerous roles of comic strip characters, Cage is obviously a big fan of comic books. His favorite character is Marvel Comics' Ghost Rider. a carnival motorcyclist bent on revenge. In July, he landed the role of Johnny Blaze, the alter ego of Ghost Rider. The movie, "Ghost Rider" is slated for 2006. Nicolas and Alice Kim Cage Cage and Kim met in February, 2004 when Cage visited a Los Angeles sushi restaurant where she was working as a waitress. The couple became engaged in April, 2004 and were married on July 30, 2004 at a private ceremony at a northern California ranch. Their relationship made tabloid headlines with rumors of domestic disturbances and frequent separations. Cage married Lisa Marie Presley on August 10, 2002 at a secret ceremony in Hawaii. They were separated after 107 days in December, 2002. Cage and Presley were officially divorced on May 16, 2004. 21. Heartbreak News Paris No Longer Burning for Paris Paris Hilton and Paris Latsis Paris is no longer burning for Paris. The made-for-the-tabloids romance of Paris Hilton and Paris Latsis has flamed out. Following weeks of speculation that their relationship was on the fritz, Hilton gave a brief statement to Us Weekly announcing she and Latsis have scuttled wedding plans. "I'm sad to announce that I've called off my engagement. Over the last couple months I've realized that this is the right decision for me. We remain best of friends, and I'll always love him," she said. "I hope people will respect my privacy during this emotional time." There was no immediate comment from the publicity-shy Latsis. The hotel heiress, 24, and the Greek shipping heir, 26, hooked up late last year. By May, they were happily engaged, with Hilton even contemplating giving up her life as a celebutante and vowing to "retire" to start a family with same-named beau. Paris Hilton and Paris Latsis "I'm so in love and grateful to have found such an honest and loyal person," the heiress crowed to Us Weekly shortly after their betrothal. "I feel like we were meant to be, and I'm happy to have found someone to spend the rest of my life with." To People magazine she said, "I want to have kids in the next two years, because I know that completes your life." The couple jetted off to Greece to scout wedding locations earlier this summer. But after their return, she was spotted sans her 24-carat, $5 million engagement ring, sparking talk that there was trouble in paradise. The rumor mill went into overdrive last week, when Latsis' father, Grigoris Kasidokostas, was quoted in Star magazine saying, "There does seem to be some problem [between them]. I understand that they are not as close as they used to be. Both his mother and I agree that our son is far too young to contemplate marriage and children. Our son agreed with us. There was an unanimity on this issue." Paris Hilton and Paris Latsis At the time, Hilton denied any problems. News of the split could throw a monkey wrench in Fox's plans for a new season of "The Simple Life." With Hilton already on the outs with costar Nicole Richie, Fox had been toying with the idea of separately following Hilton and Richie as they planned their weddings. (Richie's union with Adam Goldstein, aka DJ AM, is still a go.) Fox has declined to comment on the show's future. To keep her mind off the breakup, Hilton will continue to work with producer Scott Storch on her long-delayed album for Warner Bros. She also has two films in the pipeline, "National Lampoon's Pledge This!," due out this year, and "Bottom's Up," coming in 2006.

The bicoastal couple plan to split their time between Leigh's home state of California and Baumbach's beloved Big Apple. He explains, "We're New Yorkers with a country place in Los Angeles." 24. Baby News Garner Leaks Baby's 'Alias' on 'Tonight Show' 'Alias' star Jennifer Garner reacts to blurting out the sex of her baby during an interview on 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.' It started out like any other celebrity interview on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." Garner came out on the 'Tonight Show' stage looking lovely in a sexy black maternity dress covering her extremely burgeoning condition. She fit the epitome of the glow that a happy pregnant woman displays. She was delightful in her enthusiasm throughout the chat with Leno, dodging the numerous questions trying to pry the sex of the baby she is expecting in late November with husband, Ben Affleck. Garner and Affleck were married last June after months of tabloid rumors and celebrity gossip speculation. A very stunned Jennifer Garner can't believe she let it slip that she is expecting a baby girl in November. Leno asked, "Do you know the sex of the baby? Is it a boy or a girl?" After a pregnant pause (literally), Garner teased the host with her reply, "We have one or the other for sure." Being the seasoned professional, Leno knew he was not about to trick her into announcing the sex of the child to the audience or the viewers at home so he changed the topic to her season opener of ABC's "Alias" on Thursday, September 29 at 8 p.m. Garner began to discuss the use of stunt people on her show and the numerous 'bumps' worn by her stand-ins to simulate various stages of pregnancy. "My stand-in has a little bump. My stunt double has a bump, and the other day I walked in, and my stunt double just looked a little different to me and I said, 'Did they graduate your bump?' . . . And she said, 'Yeah, we went to a bigger bump.'" Jennifer Garner explains how she felt about her growing pregnant physique. The interview was going well until the subject moved to her recent appearance on "Shelter from the Storm: A Concert for the Gulf Coast." Garner was eager to pitch in especially since she has family affected by the storm. She was front and center next to her new husband prepared to receive incoming pledges from the American public. To her amazement and growing frustration, her phone didn't work rendering her virtually useless in front of the cameras. Garner described how uncomfortable she was, both at not being able to take pledges and for having all that time to concentrate on her growing stature. She told Leno, "You can just start to feel really pregnant. Like you are the hugest person on the face of the planet. . . . And then I felt just bigger and bigger like she . . ." Jennifer Garner had mixed reactions after accidentally revealing she and husband, Ben Affleck were expecting a baby girl in November. Her voice abruptly stopped short upon realizing her slip of the tongue. Garner's eyes bulged while she grabbed her mouth with both hands and slightly blushed. She tried her best to regain her composure, even taking a comedic moment with her cup of water. Once she realized her misspeak, Garner decided to play up her innocent look as she peered over the 'Tonight Show' mug right into the camera. Though she tried to play coy about the gender of the baby earlier, Garner let it slip for a second time while talking about setting up the nursery. Only a short time later in the 'Tonight Show' interview, Garner told Leno that she was "girling" up the baby's room. Blurting out two separate clues, it's hard to mistake the fact that she and "Daredevil" co-star, Affleck are expecting a girl in November. Jennifer Garner's first slip of the tongue was on the red carpet at this year's Emmy Awards in an interview with 'Access Hollywood.' This isn't the first time Garner slipped with the maternity news. In a red carpet interview with Access Hollywood at the Emmy Awards this year, one of the reporters thought she heard Garner accidentally slip that, in fact, as rumored, she was expecting a little girl. After her interview with Jay Leno, I think it would be safe to invest in a few pink outfits. The 33-year-old actress stars as Sydney Bristow on ABC's "Alias," which returns Thursday, September 29 for its fifth season. Garner's pregnancy was written into the show, even though her character is a globe-trotting spy. Jennifer Garner ran the gamut of emotions from shock to amusement after she divulged her maternity secret. In the season premiere episode ("Prophet Five"), after learning that the man she has known as Michael Vaughn is under investigation and suspected of being a double agent, Sydney begins to question whether their business and personal relationship over the years had all been a lie. When she discovers that she's pregnant with Vaughn's baby, she becomes determined to uncover the truth about him. Meanwhile, because of Jack's past betrayal by Irina, he begins to worry that his daughter may suffer the same fate that he did. This season, new agents will be introduced and a nefarious organization will come to light in Sydney's life as she fights to protect her unborn child -- all the while traveling incognito, outsmarting the bad guys and keeping the world safe.
  25. Heartbreak News 'Sopranos' Star Says 'Fuhgeddaboutit!' A.J. and Jamie-Lynn DiScala Jamie-Lynn DiScala's short-lived nuptials are sleeping with the fishes. "The Sopranos" star's marriage to manager A.J. DiScala has come to an end after just over two years. "As of right now, it's a separation," A.J. DiScala told the New York Daily News. He did not rule out a possible reconciliation, stating that "Anything is possible." DiScala also denied rumors that the breakup came about as a result of his alleged drinking and gambling problems. "There is zero truth to that," he said. "It was a very difficult time for both of us, going from me managing her to going back to the banking world. I was going back to what I used to do." Jamie-Lynn DiScala's camp has yet to confirm the split. The twosome began dating in 2001, after meeting at a basketball game. They wed in a lavish ceremony in July 2003, when the former Jamie-Lynn Sigler was 22 and DiScala was 32. A.J. and Jamie-Lynn DiScala at their wedding Immediately after uttering her vows, Sigler changed her last name to her husband's handle, explaining to People magazine that she was "traditional." The young actress also professed her desire to be "a young mom," but said that kids would have to wait until after she finished portraying college-aged Meadow on "The Sopranos." Just last March, Jamie-Lynn DiScala waxed enthusiastic about wedded life while promoting her USA Network TV Movie, "Call Me: The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss." "Married life is wonderful . . . he makes me realize that this is a job," the actress gushed to People magazine. "It's difficult to keep grounded in this business, and I think had I not met him, I'd be having a much tougher time dealing with that." It's unclear whether Meadow's alter-ego will bill herself as "Sigler" or "DiScala" when "The Sopranos" returns for its long-awaited sixth season in March.
