  1. Elissa was made the martyr and is going to be given the America's Favorite Player not for how she played the game but because... she was picked on or she was nice or _______ fill in the blank.doxielayingdown.gif

While I do agree that many people see Elissa as a martyr and that they are voting for her due to that, I can say that I wasn't going to vote her as that until later on in the season for the following reasons:

    1). She was a beast in the OTEV competition and I suddenly realized that she had been holding back on previous physical competitions;

2). When Elissa played in the wall HOH competition, she was a serious bad-a$$. Even though there was initial doubts on if her foot touched the ground it was clear later that it didn't and she got back on her step in one of the most thrilling moments of the season.

3). Even though EVERYONE was trying to get her to do their bidding both as MVP (she refused to nom Howard) and as HOH (refusing to nom GM) she did what she thought was best for HER game, not others.

4). She was one of the only players who put aside her feelings for a player in order to try and make alliances.

Now obviously she made errors in the game both socially and strategically but that game play that she did firmly put her as my favorite player. I simply have the added pleasure of knowing that it will piss the others off and I am also good with that. :-)

  2. As bad as some claim it is, it will never top the Donatos season. Now THAT was the worst. Plus, coming

to Morty's that year was like coming to groupthink -- if you didn't love and adore the Donatos and dared to

think otherwise, you pretty well got pummeled and hopefully run off the board. It was ridiculous.

Much like I felt Rachel's first season. She irritated and entertained me at the same time. Found myself rooting for her despite her annoying laugh/whining etc and felt thoroughly attacked that year if I posted anything positive about her. Was glad she was easier to take the 2nd time around.

  3. I'm just curious to see what peoples thoughts are on the jury.

I personally was amused to see that NONE of the women in the jury seem to be influenced by Amanda. LOL. I think the winner will be determined by Helen and her opinions and how she spins things. There may be a couple not voting that way but Helen seems to have the most influence.

  4. I don't think anybody really genuinely likes the F3 and it is more of a "who do we hate the least" mentality. And that is who we root for. Turns out I really really dislike Andy. I also dislike GM but apparently I hate Andy more because he IS educated and is vile while GM is uneducated and vile. So I can excuse her idiocy more. Spencer is in F2 and playing for 2nd place no matter what.

  5. Look how long this thread is! Lol, I don't understand why people are so polarized by this woman!

My perception of her is not favorable for several reasons but I couldnt care less if she wins AF.

ANYONE who is willing to go on BB should have their head examined IMO. As a mother, I don't think she committed any embarrassing acts to shame her family but I'm with Marty on putting your kids first. I would never even CONSIDER leaving my 8 yr old child for a selfish adventure. She doesn't need the money so what is her reason for being there? If anyone can come up with an unselfish, NON-narcicistic reason, I'm willing to reconsider my opinion on the subject.

To build up and promote her yoga business that aids in providing for her family? I mean its ok for men to go on long term business trips, why not women?

Orrrrrr, to raise money for her ministry as she has stated many times over and over.

  6. I am going to have a deep moment so please feel free to pass up the probably lengthy post.

I saw a bunch of people talking about the Brenchel wedding on TV so I decided to check it out. As a woman and having helped plan many of my friends and families weddings I truly believe that the star of the wedding should always be about the bride. After watching the show I noticed several things:

1). Rachel and Elissa's mom does the duck lips too. As we tend to imitate our mothers when we grow up, I suspect they learned this growing up.

2). Their mother is a huge attention whore even to the point of saying that it was HER wedding, not Rachel's. She would delay things so she could make grand entrances and kept deliberately seeking the limelight. I suspect that the reason both girls act the way they do was because they HAD to act outlandish just to get any attention growing up. They both have serious insecurities and I do believe that when they brag about things it is solely because if those insecurities.

I don't think they "act snooty" because they believe themselves to be "all that" but because they are trying to convince themselves and the world (and indirectly, their mother) that they are worth something. Fame is the ultimate addiction because they finally receive the applause they so desperately need.

    Steps off soap box now...

Edited to add: I believe the sisters always compete with each other in vying for the mothers attention as well. Elissa (being prettier than Rachel) probably got more praise growing up causing Rachel to be willing to do more things to get attention.

  7. Since Andy does not know about what is happening outside the game, I wold doubt that he would surmise that Elissa would be in line to be America's Favorite. I would think that he would have to make his assessment based on how people played the game and how other house guest perceived Elissa. Since everyone in the house appeared to have hated Elissa for the way she interacted with them and that she sucked at the game, I doubt Andy would really believe that she was any kind of fan favorite other than with the Brenchal Army. But, I could be wrong.

I would normally agree with you but with the earlier MVP and the constant whining from the remaining houseguests regarding America's Favorite and how they are begging America to NOT give Elissa the prize.... I think they DO believe Elissa will get it. Otherwise they wouldn't mention it.

  8. In addition to the statements about Andy using re-direction as a strategy, lets face it... When Andy came into the house he probably figured that because he does improv that if he could stay in the house long enough that he could be a shoe-in for America's Favorite. Elissa ruins this plan for him and it pisses him off.

  9. The best part of this season will be when it is over and these horrible houseguests find out just how HATED they are. I don't expect perfection in people but this entire season's cast has been horrible. I NEVER thought that another season would be WORSE than the winter edition of BB with the stupid couples (BB9?) but both my husband and I agree that this group is worse than that one. Congratulations BB15!!! You have truly earned a prize this year.

And I don't care what anyone thinks but I am voting for Elissa to win AFP. She is my favorite (even with all of her flaws) and its not saying much but compared to the others, she is the only one who I think WOULDN'T spend the money on drugs or alcohol or to finance their ill-fated political career. Sorry, but thats how I see it.

  10. Did I miss that Misha? I was sooooo hoping he would believe Elissa and they go forward. The last thing I read was that he told Andy to blame it on Elissa if it goes "south" Thursday. Makes me feel better! Thank you.

I think he was testing Andy or covering himself just in case Andy wins HOH. Later when he talked to Amanda alone, that was when he voiced the concern. Everyone knows that Elissa is a horrible liar so its clear to McCranda that Elissa telling the truth. Amanda believes in Andy the same way that Helen did. We saw how that turned out.

  11. I suspect that production is influencing her decisions and I hope they are otherwise I would have to move her up into the top 5 dumbest HG in BB history.

You might be right but the other alliance formed when Amanda was terrorizing her. She tried to form the alliance but I am pretty sure that the only reason it didn't happen was because Judd was pissed that she wouldn't take orders and put up GM when she was HOH. She knew to not trust Andy but he didn't.

And to her mind, not knowing about the exterminators, its the only chance she has to get an alliance. I just can only hope that McCrae believes her after Amanda gets evicted. I can't tell yet. I hope that Amanda and McCrae catch Andy plotting.
