When Alex was nominated there was nothing he could do because of Amanda's actions. Prior to that, he had been HoH, actually tried to win veto, tried to make sidedeals, and cockeye and others were planning on splitting the house. I almost brought up the Sharon/ James eviction, but there are too many people who would pounce on me for mentioning James. But you're not seeing the forest for the trees... my point is Angie is not an exciting player, IMO. And as much as I dislike Jessie, I think he will play the game. Now, if Angie uses the rest of the time to convince the others that Jessie is a much bigger threat (an A1 a**hole), and start plotting/ scheming/ sewing the seeds of discourse, then my opinion of her game may change.

Every year a non-player/ floater/ under the radar player stays and an up front, in your face player goes. Remember last season when Alex left. 95% of the boos were due to the fact that Alex wanted to play the game (that and he was good looking). Alex didn't just want to sit around and wait for things to happen, but he left and a floater stayed. It drives me crazy when people who are playing the game (the lying, backstabbing, sidedeals, etc) get the boot and people who just want to layout in the sun, eat free food, not do a damn thing stick around. Before the show began, I liked Angie, Steven, Brian, Renny and Jerry because they seemed like nice, intelligent, interesting people. I thought, "Yeah, I'd hang out with these people." But I'm not watching "Who would I hang out with" Game, I'm watching Big Brother. As great as Angie might be as a person, she has played an awefully boring game. Now people are upset because a "good" person may be leaving instead of the confrontational blow hard player. I have to admit, I was right there during Season 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. But, more times than not, I was more upset when the reversed happened.

Christ, you people think Angie is the reincarnation of Dick Danato. I'm sorry I refuse to drink the f*cking kool-aid. It's great that you think Angie can walk on water. i have a different opinion. This is a game and she isn't trying to play. saying she's too good for the game is such a bull sh*t comment. It was said about Alex and Amanda, it was said about Jannelle. It was said about Drew. If she "too good" why did she try out for it?? But if you really cannot take someone not wanting to crawl up Angie's ass then don't read my post. I go over to sucks because sucks is fun and less judgemental.

Mod Edit: I do not care for the high horses that ride into Big Brother every year. IN MY (MINE ONLY MINE) OPINION, Angie and Dan come off as snobbish and condescending. She out right said she didn't like the other girls the second she saw them. Why? jealousy? insecurity? Now she's full of sour grapes and wants to go home. At least Dan has made an effort to get to know the other HGs. Angie wanted her original friends and no one else. Is that her strategy? XAL, you've made your point, you LOVE Angie. Got it. Way to drive it home. But some people don't share in your obsession. I don't think your a bad, naive, stupid person. I don't tell you your opinions are wrong or ludicrous. I just think you and I differ on our opinions of Angie. Understand? And if you think that my opinions paints Angie as Hitler (please pull some of my quotes and explain) then what about the opinions in Libras thread? Double standard?

Wow, I just read several recaps of last nights MMAJ's b*tch session about every house guest...catty, bitter, sour bitch...Yep, that's the Angie I've seen. What exactly is her strategy? Worthless in comps, boring in the house. She watches unimpressed from the sidelines as her "buds" are evicted. Angie gets the: "Doesn't Play Well With Others" award.

I'm totally with you, Denise. Both have their pros and cons. I hope Keesha is just stroking thier egos and hearing them out. The fact is Angie and Jessie are in the same alliance which is against Keesha's alliance with Ollie, April and Libra. Whether you like someone or not, as HoH, you HAVE to break up other alliances. Sure Keesha could have put up Michelle, but back in the beginning, Michelle was part of Keesha's alliance. I'm sure Keesha was thinking there may be a chance to rekindle that bond/alliance, especially with Jessie gone. Keesha could have put up Memphis, but I think Keesha likes memphis. Maybe because they're both mixologists (OMG, my eyes rolled to the back of my head as I typed that), maybe because they're Hollywood wannabes. Maybe because Memphis doesn't seem like he would put Keesha up if he gets HoH next week. Keesha already stated she doesn't want to be the one everyone (I think she was talking about the viewing audience) hated and a sure fire way to do that would be taking out Jerry or Renny. So that leaves Jessie (Steven ouster) and Angie. She needs to figure out a way to find out who's getting evicted and make a deal with the other.

It would serve Libra, Keesha, April and Ollie better to get rid of Jessie. If Angie is just "taking it in stride" she won't try to get Keesha or the others out. It's a game, you know. BUT...if Angie does take it personally AND wants revenge...then maybe she really is just as bitchy on the inside as she has been on the outside (just not publically).

Both have that nauseating sense of entitlement. They walked into this game expecting to walk out with the win. Hell, the picture on CBS has Angie wearing a crown. At least Memphis has tried to make an effort to get to know some of the houseguests. Angie thinks her smoking couch is a thrown and is full of piss and vingar because it's just a dumb couch. Either come to play the game or don't come at all.

If the noms are Angie and Jessie come eviction day, I think Angie stands a pretty good chance of staying. From what I can tell, although Ollie, Libra, Michelle and April will vote out Angie; Renny, Dan, Memphis and Jerry will evict Jessie. That leaves a tie and I think Keesha would vote out Jessie. Just speculating...

Please don't go, Steven!!! Get them to vote out Dan!!! Make an alliance with Keesha, Libra, Renny and pull in Ol-pril. Then go balls to the wall against Jessie, Jerry, Memphis and Michelle. You can do it Steven...you should not be evicted by a tool!

Libra and Brian are both trying to control the game. Duh, this is Big Brother. Brian got too cocky and thought he was safe. Remember last season, the HGs orchestrating everything NEVER left the HoH alone. Brian made his deal with Jerry, then stareted bragging before the POV ceremony. Bad move, Brian. Knowing he had an alliance with Dan, Brian should have pushed Dan and Jerry to become buddies. Invite the guy to play pool, work out together and NEVER leave Jerry alone with anyone else you're conspiring against. I'm sorry, that ruse to get Jerry alone in the HoH with everyone except Brian was horrible. I've seen better acting on Telemundo. But Brian sat there and let it happen. He wasn't paranoid at all.

Boy band mogul Pearlman sentenced to 25 years By Barbara Liston Reuters Wednesday, May 21, 2008; 12:31 PM ORLANDO, Florida (Reuters) - Boy band mogul Lou Pearlman, who launched Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync, was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Wednesday for swindling investors and major U.S. banks out of more than $300 million. But U.S. District Judge G. Kendall Sharp gave Pearlman the chance to cut his prison time by offering a one-month reprieve for every $1 million in cash he helps a bankruptcy trustee recover for his victims. Theoretically, Pearlman could cancel his entire 300-month sentence by repaying the $300 million debt. His lawyer, Fletcher Peacock, said in a written plea that 25 years amounted to a "sentence to death in prison" for the 53-year-old impresario who lived a jet-set life of mansions and luxury cars before the fraud scheme collapsed. In an audacious two-decade scam, Pearlman admitted in his plea agreement to enticing individuals and banks to invest millions of dollars in two companies which existed only on paper -- Transcontinental Airlines Travel Services Inc and Transcontinental Airlines Inc. He won investors' confidence with fake financial statements created by a fictitious accounting firm. During sentencing, Sharp held up a book with letters from Pearlman's victims, saying they included "his family, his close friends and people in their 70s and 80s who have lost their life savings." "So the sympathy factor doesn't run high with the court," the judge said. Pearlman pleaded guilty in March to four counts: two of conspiracy involving bank and investor fraud, one of money laundering and one of making false claims in a bankruptcy. Sharp noted Pearlman's cooperation with the trustee to date had resulted only in the seizure of his mansion, cars including a Rolls Royce and other assets. Those recovered assets will not count toward the incentive plan to cut his sentence. 'NEGLIGENT' BANKS Sharp scheduled a hearing for the third week in July to determine the exact amount of restitution owed to victims, which is still being calculated. He called the banks "negligent" for lending millions of dollars to fake companies without asking the obvious question: "Why there weren't any Transcontinental planes flying around?" The judge said he was concerned about small investors like Juanita Reynolds of St. Petersburg Beach, Florida, who cried while telling of her nearly 90-year-old husband's reaction to the swindle. "Tears ran down his face and he said he'd lost all his self-confidence and he died seven months later," she said. Other victims expressed anger at state regulators who ignored red flags about the scheme and at their need to work through what was supposed to be their retirement years. When Pearlman comes out of prison, "he should be turned over to us," said investor James Taylor. Pearlman unsuccessfully sought a delay in his sentencing to allow time to launch his latest creation, European pop band US 5, in the United States and Asia. In court documents, he argued he was developing US 5 at the time of his arrest and said the bankruptcy trustee for his companies agreed he had potential to earn "significant profits" on the band that could be used to pay restitution. Outside the court, trustee Soneet Kapila said he had hired a music business consultant to help him evaluate the US 5 prospects and that he would be meeting with Pearlman to hear "whatever ideas he may have to utilize."
