  1. I’m not a fan of Brett either. However, I think the game will be more interesting if he stays over Rachel. She’s not interesting or compelling to watch at all. (In my humble opinion).
  2. Yeah, you could tell he wasn’t that bright when his closest ally in the house was Swaggy. He’s not that swift at being able to read people. If he was, he never would have hitched his wagon to Swaggy’s lame, over confident, blustering arse. I keep wanting to root for him though, for some reason. Hopefully, he’ll wise up before it’s too late.
  3. I think I reacted emotionally to this whole thing. So, I’m just going to let it go. Maybe because I’m a bit older, I recognize that words have power and it bothers me when they are used to subjegate others. B.B. is a game and should be kept in perspective. In order to make good TV, over the years they have gotten some really morally reprehensible people in the house to “play the game.” I guess I’m always shocked when people get on the air and talk and act like ignorant jerks. But I also keep watching my guilty pleasure. Bayliegh is probably done in two or three weeks. She’s not that bright and has an overweening sense of self importance. JC is crafty and everyone likes him. He could go to final four or beyond, because both sides want to keep him around. No one has really figured out how he’s playing them yet, because they are all too paranoid about their own games. Fessy knows, but he likes having his adoring sidekick.
  4. I’ve always liked Sam. Ever since she was a scratchy voiced robot. Everyone let’s the HOH go to their head a bit, and thinks they are the best player of the game ever, for a few days. It’s a very rare player that doesn’t get caught up in all of it. Like a Derrick. If Brett really stays this week, it will be interesting to see how Sam and others who have kind of been playing in the middle react. Sides will clearly have been taken.
  5. It’s obvious that a lot of you are okay with the use of the N word. A lot of people are. It’s unfortunate. I don’t think I’ll be posting here anymore. Cheers.
  6. Darn auto correct. I meant to write I DIDN’T realize they did the deed.
  7. I did realize they actually did the deed!!! I’m always amazed by the people that are willing to have sex on national tv when they know there’s cameras everywhere. Then have the nerve to question other people’s morals or behavior. Pot meet kettle.
  8. Wow, just saw that Bayleigh won HOH. I’m not really a fan of hers, but it will be interesting to see what she does this week.
  9. That’s just gross if she truly has a boyfriend at home as she claims. If Sam knew about this before nominating her, it totally makes sense.
  10. I agree. But it will never happen because her mouth is too big. There is no way she would be able to keep her mouth shut!
  11. Ultimately, this is a case of knowing your audience. I do not think either one of them meant to be mean spirited to the other. However, if you are using offensive words, toward a person in a group the word discriminates against, it’s not cool. My main point from earlier posts is that as a non-black person, it’s not okay to use that word toward a black person. Ever. I would also venture to say that most of the population in this country know that. However I would guess, that only a small portion of the population know someone personally of JC’s stature, let alone know what terms they prefer to be identified by. It’s apparent to me now after seeing further footage on the incident that he was trying to make a comparison by using a word he thought she would understand. He just made a bad choice in describing it. And the fact that English is clearly not his first language didn’t help his ability to clarify his point.
  12. I don’t have the live feeds. Is she acting crazy?
  13. I think she is laying low on purpose to let people weed themselves out. It's actually a smart move. She hasn't really pissed anyone off. And she could actually form an alliance with the other side of the house if she needs to. She doesn't really talk much game with people either. Just kind of votes with her alliance.
  14. Well, in my humble opinion N word is a word that should never be used by anyone not matter what race they are. The number of years of slavery in this country is debatable depending on which historians you believe. At any rate, everyone in and out of the United States (unless you are from a third world country) knows the meaning of the N word and that's is not a word that a person who is not black should ever say to a black person. Period. JC certainly didn't have venom behind his comment and Bayliegh also just seems ignorant of what the correct term is for a person of his size. The way Julie Chen made special mention of Sunday's episode, the network clearly knows that it's an issue that they need to address. This is mild though compared to some of the years where racism was blatant. I'm sure you all remember Aaryn Gries? Calling Candice - Aunt Jemima behind her back, telling Helen Kim to go make some rice? Now that was really bad.
  15. I’ve always liked Sam. Even when she was an outcast robot and nobody liked her. I do think though this will be the test of her big heart, and doing what she knows best for her game. We’re actually starting to get into real B.B. now. Because she hasn’t or wasn’t invited into either alliance at their inception, both alliances are going to try to get her to their side. All the boys are going to start saying how cute they always thought she was....
  16. Understood. However neither dwarf or midget were words that were part of the typography to hold down a segment of the US population through slavery for over 400 years. Just sayin.’ People throw terms around, without knowing their true meaning. It’s much more likely that B didn’t know the power of her words than JC didn’t. I’ve only come to understand in the last few years that someone like JC should be called a “little person.” But I’m not sure if it’s the right term.
  17. This always happens. Almost every season. Dude, you can’t use the N word. It doesn’t matter that rappers use it or that you think you can justify it by the fact that you are of short stature and have faced discrimination. It’s not okay. Ever. This nation was founded on 13 colonies that used slavery to build it. That word was used for centuries to propagate the bile of it. JC you’re done.
  18. Joystick, nice to see you. I completely agree. Yes, Swaggy was annoying. But how did getting him out really improve her game? Especially when she’s playing it so badly. In a true “big move” you don’t go gimping around after and apologizing to people. She’s just lame. I hope that the other players aren’t buying her BS.
  19. Which is exactly why I like him. Let them all squirm and wonder what is up. It makes for good game play and actual thinking on the players part.
  20. Honestly, I thought her voice actually made her endearing as the robot. Because her voice is memorable and also has a bit of a twang, I thought she pulled it off where some of the other girls probably couldn’t have. That and her genuine quality.
  21. She’s not that bright. Further, all of the people that I’ve known that are truly “enlightened” and or have a special sense of peace and understanding, don’t shout it from the rooftops. They are in fact humble and want to go on their path without any notice. Part of the gift they have been given requires them to observe others and do what they can to enrich others. This certainly isn’t this chick. Seems like a gimmick.
  22. Ewwww!!! Glad I missed the pimple popping. Gross. Typically anyone that leaves this early in the game NEVER comes back - which is why Julie shared tidbits of who did what. This guy was never going to be a long term player. The producers threw him in as fodder. And because of his insecurity he believed everything he was probably being told by them. I’ve actually met a producer and they cast these people in a very specific way, knowing their strengths, weaknesses, and how they will be malleable once the game pushes into high gear.
  23. The colors, the clothing, the eye glasses all certainly scream - look at me!!! Don’t you find me interesting, fascinating and unusually cool? However, I don’t find her anymore annoying than any of the other people that are doing the exact same thing - just maybe in a more attractive body. Her appearance is closer to how most people look than the others. I’m going to give her a pass on all the attention getting behavior, because she seems loyal and real at the core. In the next few weeks we’ll start to see what these folks are made of.
  24. Yeah, on the surface he’s got that “hit on the head by his surf board too many times” dumb witted facade going. But I give him props for seeing right through Swaggy and not buying his bluster or being willing to put up people on the block just because Swaggy said so. He made a smart move for his HOH and put up the first two people out of the competition. He could actually get far in the game by “playing dumb” and making moves on the down low...
  25. He seems like a good guy. If he stays under the radar he seems like he might be able to excel at some of the quiz competitions.
