I don't think that was Big Brother's intention though; they probably just wanted Topaz and the HG's to get the news at the same time. She was just dumb enough to talk to herself and spill everything.

I don't understand why everyone thought that AJ would be evicted by public vote. The public didn't even have a way to vote, so why so many people seem to think this?

Also, even with the twists and influence from the public, it doesn't seem like the producers are manipulating the game. In BBCA it actually seems like the twists are planned in advance, whereas in BBUSA it seems they are concocted when something happens that Grodner finds unfavorable.

I like both Arisa and Julie. They just both have their own styles, and Arisa needs to be herself rather than just trying to be a copy of Julie. I frankly don't see a problem with Arisa letting the HG's take as much time as needed. The amount of time that she allows them to have doesn't really affect the end of the show. The extra time she let the HG's have yesterday was fine, she even had time to ask them questions after the competition. Plus, if they do take too much time it can just be edited down since the show just pretends to be live. So why is a sense of urgency even needed? I always thought that the only reason that Julie was so demanding of answers was because the US version is live, and they can't go outside of their scheduled time slot...hence urgency is needed then. And no, Arisa probably isn't the greatest host, however it isn't even halfway through the first season yet. Julie has had fourteen seasons since the year 2000 to perfect her hosting. I think we forget just how much the "Chenbot" has improved.

Do we even know if Canada has anything to do with this PowerShift? I don't think that there is voting or anything, so I thought that this PowerShift was internal and the HG's will decide who goes.

Why the complaining about the HG's in their twenties? I think most of the favorites and those who played the game the best happened to be in their twenties, at least in their inaugural seasons. I don't think that they all like each other way too much. Maybe those who are left do, but that's because they evicted all the HG's who they didn't like such as Tom, Liza, and Suzette. It almost always starts off meaner than it ends, I think. In BB12, for instance, how interesting was the season and how mean were the HG's after Brendon and Rachel were evicted?

The constant reason that they keep mentioning the prize, or at least the Trax and the shopping spree at the Brick is mostly because Chevrolet and the Brick are sponsoring the show and get perks such as much exposure as possible. Also, I am sure that's why Arisa always mentions that the "Big Brother Canada house was built with help from our friends at Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse". BBUSA most likely gets enough funding from CBS and doesn't have to resort to these kind of tactics.

Yes, Canada did save Suzette, but I think so many people are overestimating their like for her because of it. There were just two people to save, AJ and Suzette. Even if you dislike Suzette, I think most people would save her over AJ. While neither of them added much to the game, she at least added tension because few of the other HG's liked her and as a result the game could have become more interesting because of the save.

When it comes to the feeds, I am not sure what is better: the feeds being off for consecutive days or the feeds going FOTH every two minutes like on BBUSA. Next year when people are paying (most likely) they probably won't be doing this since the fact that they are free is their only defense.

I agree about Emmett & Jillian as well as Peter and Topaz. I think you are totally right about all of them.

Thank you Shrinra - I just figured out the live feeds not being available until Sunday - but I have Slice as one of my channels so I don't need to worry about that particular part of it. Happy Easter!

That's very fortunate. On FB, one woman said that she called Rogers and they said it cost her $25 a month to add the channel. I presume that means she would have to buy a Premium package, but still, that's a lot if you are just going to watch the one channel. Happy Easter to you too!

You are correct - Slice has been on Free Preview since BBCan started. That free preview does end March 31st.

And, on Good Friday, (today as I type) starting at 7:00AM BBT Slice is repeating episodes 1 through 14 followed by episodes 6 through 14, ending at 6:00AM BBT, on Saturday. For our American friends, Good Friday is a holiday in Canada and pretty much everything shuts down, so folks are at home, and likely Slice is hoping they will invest the better part of 14 hours getting hooked and will then pay their cable/satellite company for the package that includes Slice.

Oh wow. I didn't know that at all, and It wouldn't have occurred to me, but I guess I am looking at it from an American-centric view. I wish it was a holiday here. I have to get up and go to classes tomorrow.

Yes, it means that the Live Feeds will be off until after Sunday's 9PM broadcast.

And it's not the live feeds that are only free until March 31st. Those will remain free throughout the season. What they are referring to is that the Slice "Free Preview" ends Sunday, March 31st. I presume this means that Canadians will have to begin paying for the channel if they don't already. I don't know much about it as I am an American, but that is what I've gleaned from the BBCA Facebook page.

Since it's another Chevrolet Power Shift, combined with what we know about the "Double HOH" does anyone else think that whoever Topaz nominates will become a dual HOH or something?

I hear ya! How many people actually increased their fame after being a reality game show contestant? I can only think of one: Elizabeth Hasselbeck. One in the thousands and thousands of contestants that have been on various shows. Even the most famous BB player, Dr. Will, is probably rarely recognized outside of the dedicated fan base. These people are so delusional! Guess what? This is the most famous you will ever be. You already get much better then 15 minutes, you get 10 weeks, just enjoy it for what it is!

You are right about Dr. Will. He was also on Dr. 90210 I think, but I am not sure if that's because he used his BB "fame" to get him in the door, or if it was just because he is a respected doctor. There are other BB contestants that you could say increased their fame after their stint on the show, but most of those examples include becoming convicted criminals or becoming gay porn stars. Not such a great track record IMO. I'd probably wish for obscurity.

Oh brother. They've gotten to the point where they are talking about how famous they are going to be after the show and how many opportunities they are going to get (modeling and endorsing yoga equipment, I think?). It's very annoying, not to mention they should know better. How many BBUSA contestants are famous now? It never happens.

Well said - talk about putting a target on your back - well he just handed over the proverbial gun. Topaz (if its possible that she would be loyal) would be more loyal to Gary than she would to Alec. We've seen what happens to people who get too cocky in this game.

I agree. The only person Alec really has is Peter, and he shouldn't be advertising that fact. He doesn't have Topaz, you can tell that she is just using him to get further and doesn't really care much. I am sure she is sick of him after the iPod incident. He was so whiny.

I honestly don't know why they hated him so much. Yeah he could be arrogant and clueless, but they all have their flaws too. He seemed to be an honest and trustworthy person, at least more than Drama Queen Alec, Peter, and Glitter Gary.

The BBCA house is in Mississauga, Ontario, which is near Toronto. As for second place, I don't think they get anything. If they do, I don't think it has been mentioned!

Yes teachers are doing bad things to, but are they filmed daily?And ok nailed was an extreme term cuz Emmett doesn't how to gyrate up in that. It was very soft and sensual pg sex, but its the idea. 18+? Kids have cellphones and iPads to look at these things they don't even use the home computer where you can monitor them. I don't see how I contradicted myself at all. I said someone could lodge a complaint, but I said I don't see it happening because it just isn't rational. How can they lodge a complaint for something most people do, and it's not like she's doing it on the job. How can someone be penalized for something they are doing off the clock? I still don't think we know they have had sex or not either. I don't think anyone can prove what they were doing under the covers, and you even admit that it wasn't obvious. Have they admitted it or something?

These personalities are everywhere but the study of ones behavior through video anyone can do and pin point and do this if you watch enough live feed (which you obviously do being a LF updater and all). I also agree that Gillian will definitely have some kind of character review for acts of getting pounded by Emmett. Some concerned mother here will make a complain if they get wind she's getting banged on a live feed camera for well 2 weeks now guaranteed. And my top 3 players i would like to win are: Peter, Gary, or Alec (all of the girls in the house are whining whores IMO but that's what gets the views).

Would you want your kids whatching that. What if she taught your son/daughter and you walked in on him/her doing unspeakable acts to her and Emmett getting it on? This is how it affects one's character of being a reputable teacher and not some one who's getting nailed every night with thousands watching. See the above post for further clarification.

First off, do we really know if Emmett and Jillian have really had sex? I mean I know they make out a lot and do stuff under the covers, but I didn't know if it was for certain. I read the feed updates, but don't really watch much of them, so I haven't seen the footage myself.

Still, I think you are blowing things out of proportion and are putting too much blame on her. The show that airs on Slice doesn't air any of that content, the most we have seen on the show is a little kissing and not even that much. Even so, there is a reason there is a "mature content" message played at the beginning of the show and after they come back from commercial. They air lots of curse words and such, that wouldn't be acceptable on BBUSA for example. The only way someone's kids would be getting the true look at Emmett and Jilliian's relationship would be if they were watching the live feeds (which means they aren't walking in on anything). In general, if someone's children happen to see it, it's the parents fault in my opinion. If they see it, it's because the parent isn't taking an active role in knowing what their kids are watching. I don't see how that's Jillian's fault.

Plus, I don't see why anyone could rationally complain (though I am not saying they won't). She isn't the only teacher that is having casual sex in the world. Still, if she is having sex in the BB house with all the cameras, that's pretty slutty. I think Jillian is pretty safe. I don't think anyone else in the history of BB has ever lost their job because of their actions in the house, and I don't think this will be the first.

Also, one last idea I want to posit is that it probably matters what level of school she teaches. Being a kindergarten teacher might have a different impact than being a high school teacher, for example.

There are lots of rumors, but most people think it has to do with last nights disaster of an HOH competition. Multiple people were cheating and apparently some had trouble with the equipment used. So, it was thought to have been replayed, I guess.

I don't see what the problem is with Jillian. I mean I don't like her, but what she is doing in the house isn't that bad. So she has a personal life...big deal. That doesn't necessarily affect what she is doing in the classroom or what kind of an educator she is.

Why are Tom, Suzette, and AJ taking Canada's vote so personally? Just because they voted for Suzette to stay doesn't mean they love her and it doesn't mean they hate Tom or AJ. There were just two people to vote for! Good grief.

Oops! I must have forgotten about him because I don't find him that annoying. I think he is a surprisingly competent player who has a good social game and seems to be good at competitions. I think he will stay longer than some people think, if only to be used to do dirty work. If some of these people are smart, they will keep Gary in the house as leverage against the other stronger players.

Alec & Peter - I think they both have a good chance to get far in the game. They both seem smart and aware of what's happening in the game, and not too hot-headed. Both seem well liked enough too.

AJ - Seems really awkward and is not playing a great social game. Also, why does he always refer to himself in the third person in the diary room. "AJ only has to worry about his hair and outfit for eviction." Erm...okay.

All of the girls (except Suzette) - Annoying, way dependent on their annoying little showmances, especially Liza who seems to be juggling three different guys. I can't wait to see them get evicted. Liza, Jillian, and Talla all seem so similar that I often times get them confused. Also, I find it particularly hilarious how they are always talking about their girls alliance, well, if they want a girls alliance they should probably stop voting out the girls. They could have voted out Emmett week one, and Aneal week two.

Suzette - Loud, annoying, and her big mouth gets her in way too much trouble. Still, it seems that she had an uphill battle from the beginning with the way she got HOH. The first thing she had to do was lie about the phone call, and the worst first impression you can make is being a liar, and she got unnecessary blood on her hands.

Topaz - Way to lazy, and doesn't contribute much to the game. She will ride Alec's coattails as long as she can. I am kind of surprised how much she gets asked to put on her mic. Why is she taking it off so much in the first place?!

Talla - If I have to hear her moan and complain about how she is the maid of the house again, I will flip.

Tom - Gives himself too much credit and is ultimately clueless about what is really happening in the game. He should be backdoored and evicted relatively soon.

Aneal - Is way too useless and whiny, and not emotionally mature enough for the game.

Danielle - Was a terrible game player, and surrounded herself with people who were at the bottom of the house totem pole. She didn't seem to try to make an alliance with anyone who could have actually have helped save her.

No. The HGs are Canadian, so they wear their microphones, they don't sing, they don't talk about their DR sessions, and they don't slander people outside the house. Seriously, that's all you hear all day in the BB USA House, Put your mic on, stop talking about production... There are so many announcements I'm always amazed they have enough footage without announcements to make up a complete show. The BB CA HGs get called out a couple times a day, that's it.

I'm trying to figure out if they're less messy than Americans.

I don't know, but we might get an idea later on in the season if we find out that calling in an exterminator might be necessary. Doesn't the US house get infested with roaches or something each season?
