  1. I watched AfterDark from my DVR earlier.

But I was doing other things at the same time.

I do remember hearing $25,000 mentioned, but more as it being the difference between second place and payout for anyone who makes jury.

(2nd place gets $50,000 - before taxes - and does NOT get the weekly stipend. Thus, this implies that anyone who makes jury and gets paid about 15 weeks of stipend is making around $25,000, which seems rather more than the around $750 per week that I remember being discussed in previous seasons, so either I heard wrong, or Vanessa may be under the impression that they get paid about $2000 per week. Hmmmm, maybe that is what she was told SHE would get paid, since I believe she was recruited and may have a special deal?)

I didn't hear anything about buying Julia a car.

As far as the twins talking about splitting the money between them, I think it falls outside the rules somehow only because they are immediate family.

I had read or heard on the feeds something about Vanessa promising a car to someone but that was a few weeks ago. Also remember one twin saying that if the other won the $50,000 then she would get half ($25,000) but, again, didn't hear that last night.

I was under the impression that the stipend was $1,000 @week ($15,000 for the full season).

  2. Thanks for the info, I wasn't aware they were sequestered individually prior to the re-enter the game comp. That makes perfect sense. The commiserating doesn't take place until afterwards when all the HGs are out of the game for good.

I was confused because I remember one of the evicted HGs bringing in a tape/cd and they all watched it together of how they got evicted & who won the next HOH comp, but I'm assuming that doesn't happen until much later in the jury.

My bad, mayzee - - -Shelli and Jackie are already in the jury house. Sorry for the bad info. Guess my memory isn't all that good.

  3. If Becky gets voted out on Thursday she will be reunited with her 2 BFFs in the jury house. They will have a week to share sob stories about how Vanessa screwed them over by getting other HGs to do her dirty work.

If I remember correctly, they are individually sequestered until one of them does come back. After that the remaining three and all that follow go to the jury house. So they don't have an opportunity to "compare notes".
  4. The YouTube video of Vanessa'a house is a few years old. She was on the Pokerstars team but got kicked off  earlier this year because her earnings were only $1700 last year and $38,900 in 2013.... hardly enough to even pay the electric bill on that house so doubt that she still has the house.

Anyone whose been to a casino knows that you always talk about what you won but not what it cost you to win it. I'm not convinced that she's as well off as many think.

    Does anyone know for sure?

  5. I think that casting the HGs for Big Brother is one of the problems the producers are having with the show. In the past seasons, the cast was generally diverse enough that most of the fans had a HG to root for or against. This season, not so much diversity, but at least most of the HGs are fans of the show and are familiar with how to play the game.

Not much diversity??  .... let's see, there's a black woman, a red neck Asian, a gay woman, a gay man, a trans-gender, a wrestler and a socially awkward geek. What more would you add?

As far as CBS ruining Big Brother please check the ratings. If you Google Big Brother 17 ratings for last Sunday's show you will find:

"BIG BROTHER DELIVERS SEASON HIGH SUNDAY RATINGS

    ·         BIG BROTHER UP ACROSS-THE-BOARD WITH DOUBLE DIGIT PERCENTAGE GROWTH; TOP BROADCAST OF THE NIGHT IN A18-34

At 8PM, BIG BROTHER SUNDAY averaged 5.81m (up +17% from last week), 1.9 in A18-49 (+12%), 2.2 in A25-54 (+16%) and 1.4 in A18-34 (+17%), all season highs for a Sunday broadcast.  BIG BROTHER was the #1 broadcast in A18-34."

As long as CBS continues to give the viewing public what they want, they're not going to change it. And that's fine with me!

  6. Bought my live feeds on Saturday I hope that you get the commision from it I followed the link on this page. So I kinda like the ability to watch all Seasons I watched part of season 1 wow way different than I expected. I didn't start watching until Season 3.

I did the same Janis. Watching some of season 1 gave me a new appreciation for the current version of BB.

I’m hoping that the live feeds won’t be peppered with commercials (the same ones over and over and over again) like the content is on CBS All Access.

  7. We got a true look at this guy's character (or lack of) tonight.

From Morty's live show recap:    "I'm the best player, I know," says Frankie. Frankie says by doing this to him, they have created the most powerful person in this game. When he steps out the door, they are connecting him with his millions of followers and they are reconnecting him with the jury. And he is the most convincing speaker in the house. They are looking at the person who will single handedly pick the winner of the game."

  8. Frankie's meltdown continues. He paces back and forth in the bathroom mumbling his Veto Mtg speech  ... he again tries to get into the DR but they won't let him in ... he sits in the LR with Cody, Victoria and Derrick jabbering on constantly while wringing his hand.

After the way he's trashed many of the other HGs, I gotta admit that it's fun to watch.

I hope BB stays out of this and lets nature take its course.
