  1. Divorcing Denise and Charlie Request Privacy The stunning breakup of Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards is a sad story that nobody in Hollywood saw coming. Now "Extra" is learning more about why the couple has decided to split up. The couple has released a joint statement that reads, in part, "We're deeply saddened by the recent events, and our love and concern for daughter Sam, our unborn child, and each other. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time." Just two weeks ago, Sheen was on "Live with Regis and Kelly," showing off pictures of his daughter Sam, who will turn one next week. And just last week, our Mark McGrath interviewed Charlie with his dad, Martin, and Charlie couldn't stop gushing about his family life and his second child on the way. "Getting home," Charlie said when Mark asked him what was the best part of being a family man. "Coming home at night, you know, when it's not about being famous. It's about other responsibilities and commitments." Denise and Charlie didn't just share a home life. The two co-starred in "Scary Movie 3," and Denise played a recurring roll as Charlie's on-again-off-again girlfriend on his hit TV show "Two and a Half Men." So while this fairytale romance appears to have ended, fans of both stars hope the two can heal as they go their separate ways.
  2. Terrorist Chatter Sparked Russell Crowe Security Scare It's the shocking plot that has Hollywood on high alert. Oscar winner Russell Crowe has revealed that he may have been the target of an Al-Qaeda kidnapping scheme months before 9/11. "I didn't make a decision to go public with that. I had a conversation with somebody and they used that," Crowe stated during a press conference Thursday morning in Australia. Russell was reluctant to talk about the incident, today, but in the new GQ magazine, Crowe comes clean about the real-life drama that unfolded during his Oscar run for the mega hit "Gladiator." GQ Deputy Editor Michael Hainey told us Crowe had trouble even comprehending the threat until FBI agents broke the news. "At first he thought it was his mates in Australia playing a prank on him," Hainey explained. "He told GQ that French intelligence agents were hearing chatter in North Africa that Russell was going to be the target of a kidnapping plot." So why would Crowe be a target of Osama Bin Laden? Early speculation was it would help the terror network culturally destabilize the U.S. Crowe took no chances, immediately beefing up security and accepting protection from the FBI. "He kept the bodyguards and the FBI with him through 'A Beautiful Mind' and, to a lesser extent, 'Master and Commander,'" Hainey revealed. But Crowe is no longer living in fear: he's been told the threats no longer loom.
  3. Bloom and Bosworth Rekindle Romance Movie hunk Orlando Bloom has finally won back his ex-girlfriend Kate Bosworth - after ending their two-year romance in January . The sexy 28-year-old met the Blue Crush actress on the set of a Gap advert in 2003, but separated from her two years later, because their hectic filming schedules prevented them from having a stable relationship. But Bloom spent a staggering $6,000 for a night in Los Angeles' exclusive Chateau Marmont Hotel last Saturday to secretly discuss his future with Bosworth. And he told British newspaper The Sun she had agreed to give their relationship a second chance. He says, "Nobody knows about us yet. "We are doing our best but we're taking it very slowly and very carefully to see if we can make it. "Tonight will be our last night together before Kate leaves for filming. She'll be gone for ten days so we are going to spend the evening together with a video and a meal." A close friend adds, "Orlando's determined to keep Kate this time. He got swallowed up in Hollywood life but finally realized nothing makes him happier than Kate."

  5. Wild, Wacky Stuff: the Fights for Carson's Fortune Johnny with Wife Alexis was reportedly earning $30 million a year. By some estimates, when he hosted, earning him millions in video sales and licensing. was also famous for his charity, donating millions to a wide variety of animal and environmental groups, medical causes, a South Central Los Angeles youth group, and organizations for the arts. The man who died of emphysema also has a cancer center named after him in his hometown in Nebraska. And with all this wealth, lawsuits were as sure to follow as killer punch lines did on from which he defended himself over the years: [*]In 1988, a New York dentist sued the host after The angry dentist demanded $10 million dollars, but got nothing after a state Supreme Court judge rejected the lawsuit. [*]In 1992, was furious but a judge felt the joke was harmless and dismissed the lawsuit. [*]In the mid 1980s it was fired back, filing a $1 billion cross complaint. In the end, both suits were dismissed. [*]And finally, got his way.
  6. Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher: Pregnant! When friends of Ashton Kutcher gathered recently for a night out at the new Hollywood hot spot he owns, the Geisha restaurant, they were astounded when the 27-year-old star dropped a bombshell: Demi Moore, 42, his beautiful girlfriend of almost two years, is pregnant! "Halfway through the meal, he told us there was a baby on the way," says a stunned source. In fact, Star has learned that Demi is eight-weeks pregnant, with a due date some time in October. Demi received the happy news March 4, at an appointment at the Beverly Hills clinic, Woman's Care. She sat there "completely stunned," according to a friend. "She broke into this huge grin and you could tell she was absolutely thrilled." At first, she was afraid to tell anyone - even Ashton! But after calming down, "she absolutely couldn't wait," the friend says. "And when she got him on the phone, she blurted, 'Honey, I'm pregnant!'" Demi, says the friend, said the baby is exactly what she and Ashton had wanted. And there are already tell-tale signs that Demi is expecting. At the premiere for Ashton's new movie 'Guess Who,' the heavy-smoking actress didn't even take a puff, and sipped water instead of her usual caffeinated energy drink, Red Bull. Even though the news is traveling fast in their social circle, Demi's keeping mum - at least in public - about being a mom again. That's not so surprising, as she suffered a painful miscarriage in 1997 in the final days of her marriage to Bruce Willis. And even Ashton, when asked publicly about his impending fatherhood at the Hollywood premiere of 'Guess Who,' denied the pregnancy. Was this at Demi's request? "Demi won't officially announce it until the third month of her pregnancy," says a source. "She's superstitious because she lost a baby before."
  7. Billy Joel Back in Rehab In the wake of his hospitalization for stomach problems last month, the Piano Man has signed on for a stint in rehab to deal with a drinking problem. "Following a recent bout of severe gastro-intestinal distress, Billy Joel has checked himself into an undisclosed rehabilitation facility for treatment of alcohol abuse," his rep said in a statement. "Mr. Joel has asked that his privacy be respected." Last month, the rep denied reports that Joel was suffering from pancreatitis, which is typically brought on by heavy alcohol consumption. It's not the first time Joel has ended up in rehab. In June 2002, he checked into the Silver Hill Hospital in Connecticut for treatment of a substance-abuse problem, just days after crashing his Mercedes on Long Island and suffering minor injuries. That car crash marked the first in a string of auto accidents for the entertainer. In January 2003, Joel totaled his Mercedes after driving off the road and crashing into a tree on Long Island. The singer had to be pulled from the wreckage of the car by firefighters and spent the night in the hospital recovering from his injuries. Then, last April, Joel was on his way to pick up a pizza when he lost control of his 1967 vintage Citron on a slick road and wound up parked in the home of a 94-year-old woman. No one was injured in the crash. While Joel may be an unlucky motorist, he's proven to be luckier in love. He swapped vows with third wife, 23-year-old television correspondent Katie Lee, last October. Of late, the singer has been in a writing state of mind.
