  4. 'Dancing with the Stars' Champ Becomes a Father Drew Lachey and wife Lea welcome a baby girl to the family Drew LacheyLOS ANGELES -- Drew Lachey has a significantly prettier prize to bring home after snagging the garish "Dancing with the Stars" trophy. The former 98 Degrees member and his wife Lea became the parents to a baby girl on Thursday, March 23, according to published reports. The couple's first child was born in Los Angeles. No additional details were given. At the time of the "Dancing with the Stars" February finale, fans of the show were afraid that Lea's pregnancy would interfere with Drew's terpsichore triumph. Evidently the baby was polite enough to wait a month and not upstage her dad. Lea and Drew, both 29, were childhood and high school sweethearts who married in October 2000 in Cincinnati. Drew credits Lea, who was a dancer and choreographer for 98 Degrees, for his success in the reality dance show. Professional partner Cheryl Burke might have had something to do with it too. Drew is also the brother of fellow 98 Degrees member Nick Lachey and the soon-to-be ex brother-in-law to Jessica Simpson. Lachey will take a break from changing diapers to co-host the Miss USA pageant in Baltimore on Friday, April 21.

  6. Celebs Sugarcoat Breakups With 'Love' By ERIN CARLSON, Associated Press Writer NEW YORK - Love, as any and all can attest, is often a mystery. Breaking up, on the other hand, seems quite formulaic. Certainly on the celebrity circuit. "Love," "respect," "consideration," "admiration" and a dollop of "privacy" are the primary ingredients of today's famous fall-outs. When glamorous couples call it quits, they typically do so publicly, through pithy statements to the media. These days, their declarations all seem to follow a similar structure. Last week, former fiancees Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong and rocker Sheryl Crow announced their breakup "after much thought and consideration." "We both have a deep love and respect for each other and we ask that everyone respect our privacy during this very difficult time," they said in a joint statement, released Feb. 3. Armstrong and Crow took a page from Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, who said their decision to separate early last year was "the result of much thoughtful consideration." "We happily remain committed and caring friends with great love and admiration for one another," said Pitt and Aniston in a joint statement in January 2005. "We ask in advance for your kindness and sensitivity in the coming months." Months later, Pitt was photographed frolicking on an African beach with girlfriend Angelina Jolie

  9. Baby News Affleck, Garner--and Baby By Joal Ryan Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have a new production the critics can't touch: Their daughter. Garner gave birth to the girl at a Los Angeles hospital, Us Weekly reported Thursday. It was unclear if the baby--named Violet, E! News has learned--made her debut on Wednesday or Thursday. Us said labor was induced Wednesday night. "Ben was with her the entire time," a source told the magazine. The child is the first for both. Affleck, 33, and Garner, 34, wed June 29, almost two months after their expectant news was leaked. In completing her labor day, Garner beats her prime-time alter ego to the nursery. Sydney Bristow, the Alias secret agent that made Garner a star, also is with child. Producers of the ABC spy series wrote in the pregnancy after Garner's was confirmed. Alias was canceled last week by ABC. It'll finish its fifth and final season in May, after a previously scheduled eight-week-long maternity leave of sorts starting in January. TV show or no, Garner's plate is full. In addition to the baby, she has a new movie, Catch and Release, due out next year. It's her first shot at headlining a real-people drama (from Erin Brockovich writer Susannah Grant) as opposed to a fantasy comedy (13 Going on 30) or a superhero adventure (Elektra). Meanwhile, no bad reviews are good reviews for Father Affleck, who will not appear on the big screen in 2005--the first time that's happened since 1994. While it might seem as if romance, marriage and pregnancy has kept the actor otherwise occupied, he might have as many as three films out next year, including Truth, Justice and the American Way, about the 1959 death of TV Superman George Reeves. Before marrying Garner, Affleck endured the worst box office and worst publicity of his career. When he wasn't making headlines for his overexposed, and eventually scuttled, engagement to Jennifer Lopez, he was launching dud (Gigli) after dud (Paycheck) after dud (Jersey Girl) after dud (Surviving Christmas). Affleck and Garner met on the set of 2003's Daredevil--he was the titular hero; she was Elektra. The two began dating in 2004, after Affleck had moved on from Lopez, and after Garner had moved on from Alias costar Michael Vartan and first-husband Scott Foley.
  10. Chesney Doesn't Regret Zellweger Marriage NEW YORK - Kenny Chesney says he has no regrets about his brief marriage to Renee Zellweger because it 33ught him a lesson about love. "She and I fell in love like a couple of schoolkids," the 37-year-old country singer said Monday on ABC's "The View." "I'm glad to know that that can happen. That that exists. And we really still care about each other a lot," said Chesney, who has a new CD, "The Road and the Radio." He and Zellweger were married in May after first meeting in January. The 36-year-old actress, who won an Oscar for her role in 2003's "Cold Mountain," filed for an annulment in September.

  14. New York mogul, TV star Trump's wife pregnant NEW YORK (Reuters) - Donald Trump's wife Melania Knauss is pregnant with the real estate mogul's fifth child, Trump's spokeswoman said on Tuesday. The 59-year-old entrepreneur and star of the NBC television show "The Apprentice" has three children with his first wife Ivana Trump and one with his second wife Marla Maples. He married Knauss, 35, a Slovenian model, in a lavish ceremony in Florida in January attended by a host of celebrities from former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani to singer Billy Joel and journalist Katie Couric. Trump was already famous as a property and casino mogul when he moved into American living rooms in 2003 as star of hit television show "The Apprentice," in which young contestants vie to show their business savvy and win a spot working on a Trump venture. The New York Post said the baby was due in the spring. Trump's spokeswoman Norma Foerderer said the Post report that Trump's wife was pregnant was true but she declined to give any further details.

  19. Big Brother Baddie Gets Beaten by Angel Cohn James Rhine James Rhine of Atlanta kicked off the sixth season of Big Brother with shady playing that included plenty of lying and deceiving. Doing so made the 29-year-old loss-prevention manager (who claimed he was a teacher) a huge target for the houseguests. They tried to evict him multiple times, taking out his beloved show partner and real-life girlfriend, Sarah Hrejsa, in the process. But the tough player kept winning the Power of Veto and used his skills at manipulation to pit the two alliances against each other. After his luck finally ran out last Thursday, he spoke with TVGuide.com before heading to the sequester house
