  1. Elton Plans Civil Marriage with Long-Term Male Partner David Furnish (L) and Elton John. LONDON (Reuters) - British pop star Elton John intends to marry his long term partner David Furnish some time this year or in 2006, his publicist said Monday. The singer told the Mirror tabloid that he and Furnish wanted to hold a civil partnership ceremony in Windsor, near London, in mid-December, although publicist Gary Farrow said John had added it could take place some time next year. "He (John) said that it may be by Christmas and it may be next year," Farrow told Reuters. He added that one of John's main motivations for going ahead with the ceremony was financial. Civil partnerships between gay couples will be allowed in Britain from December 5 and give partners tax breaks available to married couples. John, 58, and Furnish, 42, have been partners for more than 11 years. A Web site recently speculated the couple was splitting up, prompting Furnish to say that they had "never been happier." John told the Mirror that Furnish should not expect some of the trappings of a regular marriage. "There will be no honeymoon. I'm on tour," he said. John has sold tens of millions of records worldwide and is best known for classic tracks including "Candle in the Wind" and "Rocket Man." He has signed an agreement to perform 75 shows over three years in Las Vegas and is also touring the United States, Europe and Canada over the coming months. John, born Reginald Kenneth Dwight, previously married German music engineer Renate Blauel in 1984. She and John divorced four years later.
  2. Nick Nolte's Son Faces Felony Pot Charge Entertainment - AP Gossip/Celebrity CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The 18-year-old son of actor Nick Nolte has been accused of dealing drugs. Brawley King Nolte of Malibu, Calif., and Aaron Cody Southern, 21, of St. Albans were arrested early Sunday and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, a felony, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court. State Police Trooper B.G. Wriston stopped a car driven by Southern in St. Albans for having a broken front headlight, according to the complaint. Brawley Nolte was a passenger in the car. Wriston smelled marijuana, entered the vehicle and found a freezer bag containing 70 grams of marijuana, according to the complaint. Both were released on $2,500 bond Sunday evening. Becky Linger Nolte and Nick Nolte lived for a short time in Charleston, W.Va., before their divorce in 1994. Their son, Brawley Nolte, had roles in the 1996 film "Ransom" and the 1997 film "Affliction."

    Pope Benedict XVI

New Pope Courts Groups at Installation By NICOLE WINFIELD, Associated Press Writer VATICAN CITY - Pope Benedict XVI formally began his stewardship of the Roman Catholic Church on Sunday, reaching out to Jews, other Christians and "nonbelievers alike" and asking for prayers from the hundreds of thousands of pilgrims and dignitaries gathered in St. Peter's Square as he assumed "this enormous task." The former Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, who was known as the enforcer of church orthodoxy, said in his installation homily that as pope he would listen to the will of God in governing the world's 1.1 billion Catholics. "My real program of governance is not to do my own will, not to pursue my own ideas, but to listen, together with the whole church, to the word and the will of the Lord, to be guided by Him so that He himself will lead the church at this hour of our history," he said in his homily, read in Italian. Wearing golden vestments and clutching his pastoral staff, Benedict began the ceremony by walking into the area under St. Peter's Basilica where St. Peter is believed to be buried, paying homage to the first pope and blessing the tomb with incense as a choir chanted. At the end of the Mass, he blessed the crowd standing and waving as he rode in a white, open-topped jeep-like vehicle surrounded by security guards. The faithful reached out to him and snapped his picture. The new "popemobile" was not surrounded by the bulletproof glass installed around the vehicle used by John Paul after he was shot in 1981. In one of the most symbolic moments of the two-hour Mass, Benedict was given his Fisherman's Ring and a woolen pallium, or shawl

  5. Johnny Carson Microphone Sells for $50,787 By LISA FALKENBERG, Associated Press Writer DALLAS - An anonymous bidder Friday snatched a piece of TV history, offering $50,787 for the microphone that sat prominently on the desk of late-night king Johnny Carson until the 1980s. The offer was about twice that expected at auction. The label on the 10-pound Shure model SM33 ribbon microphone bluntly declares: "Johnny's Mic... Not Ed's... Not Fred's"
  6. Quinn Pleads Guilty to Drunken Driving Entertainment - AP Gossip/Celebrity AUGUSTA, Maine - Aidan Quinn pleaded guilty to drunken driving while he was in Maine for the filming of the HBO movie "Empire Falls." Quinn didn't appear in Kennebec County Superior Court Thursday, where his plea was entered through his lawyer, Michaela Murphy. Quinn, 46, was ordered to pay a $500 fine, and his driver's license was suspended for 90 days. Quinn, who lives in Englewood, N.J., was arrested by Waterville police on Oct. 25, 2003, after he was observed driving erratically. After he was pulled over, a test revealed his blood-alcohol content was 0.12 percent. The legal limit for drunken driving in Maine is 0.08 percent. The guilty plea came as a last resort following unsuccessful motions to suppress evidence and to have the case thrown out of court. In her motion to suppress, Murphy said her client's driving was "marginally incorrect" and not sufficient to warrant a legal stop by police.
  7. Ledger, Williams' Baby on Board By Charlie Amter Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams' latest roles: Daddy and Mommy? The 26-year-old Australian heartthrob and his 24-year-old girlfriend are expecting a child together this fall, according to several published reports. While reps for both have not yet confirmed the baby-on-board story, which is making the rounds this week in the latest issues of People and Us Weekly, the couple have been telling friends, per the New York Post, that they fully expect paparazzi types to "document [Williams'] growing tummy." Earlier this month, Australian newspapers reported Williams, best known for essaying Jen on the WB angstfest Dawson's Creek, has been taking yoga classes for expectant mothers in Sydney.

  12. Benjamin's Second Bratt By Julie Keller It's another collaboration for Benjamin Bratt and wife Talisa. The couple, who met in 2000 while filming Piero, the art-house biopic of junkie poet-playwright Miguel Piero, are expecting their second child in the fall, according to a joint statement released Wednesday. They already have a daughter, Sophia, born in December 2002. Benjamin, 41, and Talisa Bratt (ne Soto), 38, are both alums of People's Most Beautiful list and have some A-list credits (he plied his trade in Law & Order; she was a Bond babe in License to Kill). But they are, perhaps, most famous for their breakups. Bratt, of course, was the longtime boyfriend of Julia Roberts. He and Soto tied the knot in April 2002, less than a year after he and Roberts broke up. Soto herself was also the victim of a celebrity couple breakdown, if not as high-wattage. She split with hubby Costas Mandylor in 2000. Since their marriage, the couple have focused more on baby-making than movie-making. He last appeared in 2004's box-office disaster Catwoman with Halle Berry. The last we've seen of the missus was in 2002's similarly panned Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever with Antonio Banderas and Lucy Liu. Next up for Bratt, other than diaper duty, is the indie film Thumbsucker, the war film The Great Raid and the biopic Che.
  13. Porn Star Mary Carey Arrested LAKEWOOD, Wash. - Mary Carey, a pornographic film star who ran for California governor in a recall election in 2003, has been arrested in a raid on a new strip club in this Tacoma suburb, police said. Carey, whose real name is Mary Cook, was among five people arrested early Saturday at Club Paradise. Eleven others were given citations, police Lt. Bret A. Farrar said. All 16 were accused of violating the local adult cabaret ordinance, some by getting too close to customers and others
  14. Actor James Caan Files for Divorce LOS ANGELES - Actor James Caan has filed for divorce from his wife of more than nine years. His publicist, Paul Bloch, said Tuesday he didn't have details about the divorce but issued a statement from Caan. "I love and respect my wife as a friend and as a mother," Caan said. "Our goal in life is to continue to be great parents and great friends. Our children are our entire lives and they will remain as such." Caan and his wife, Linda, were married Oct. 7, 1995, according to the divorce petition filed Monday in Superior Court. The couple have two children
  15. Coco Arquette's Photo Flap By Sarah Hall Corteney with Coco as a newborn. Courteney Cox Arquette and husband David are so mad, they could scream. Or, at the very least, sue someone. The celeb duo are fuming over unauthorized pictures of 10-month-old daughter Coco's Apr. 9 christening that have been widely circulated over the Internet via email. To make matters worse, the original and oft-forwarded email containing the illicit pics appeared to be sent by none other than Coco's godmother and Cox Arquette's Friends confidante, Jennifer Aniston. Sent Friday, the fast-spreading email reportedly had a subject line of "FW: Friends in town" and contained pictures of Aniston, Cox Arquette, Arquette, baby Coco and various other friends and family members. The text read: "Jeff, Here are some pic's [sic] of that Christening that I went to, that I was telling you about..." Aniston's rep has denied the email originated with the star and claims that someone posing as Aniston sent out the pictures using a spoofed email address. The Arquettes, understandably distraught by the distribution of Coco's image in cyberspace, threatened to sue anyone who dared to publish the photos. "Although we are public figures, we do have a right to privacy," the couple said in a joint statement. "The photos from our daughter's christening are being distributed without our consent. Anyone publishing these photos will be in copyright infringement and liable to legal action. We appreciate your sensitivity to this matter." The christening took place before about 110 friends and family members in Birmingham, Alabama. The Reverend Doug Carpenter, who also married the couple in 1999, deemed it a "wonderful gathering." Though no cameras were permitted during the service, Carpenter said guests posed for requisite photos with the celebrities afterwards. When they're not threatening legal action on behalf of their daughter, Coco's parents coproduce the design show Mix It Up for the WE cable net. Cox Arquette also has relatively minor roles in the upcoming releases The Longest Yard, starring Adam Sandler, and Alpha Dog, starring Justin Timberlake, and provides the voice of Daisy the cow in the animated film The Barnyard, due out next year. Meanwhile, Arquette appears in the upcoming family comedy The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl, opening June 10.
  16. Wanted: Natasha Lyonne By Charlie Amter Natasha Lyonne is a wanted woman--in New York anyway. The American Pie actress has a fresh warrant out for her arrest after she failed to make it to a court date on time. Per published reports, the 26-year-old showed up more than an hour late for a court hearing Monday stemming from her bizzare December rampage inside her neighbor's apartment. The 26-year-old is charged with criminal mischief, harassment and trespassing after she allegedly went postal on a New York neighbor by ripping a mirror off her wall and threatening to sexually molest her dog. Although the busty thespian did show up in court for about 30 minutes Monday, she apparently lost patience waiting for her case to be thrown back on the docket and left before her case was called. Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Abraham Clott was not impressed with Lyonne's lack of respect for the court and ordered the warrant after calling her case three times on Monday. The actress has had her fair share of tabloid moments in recent years. Three years ago, Lyonne pleaded guilty to a 2000 DUI charge in Miami. Lyonne was sentenced to six months probation for the booze cruise, which involved fleeing the scene of a car accident only to have her plan foiled by one of Florida's finest who witnessed the smash and tracked her down shortly thereafter. The actress isn't the only Pie alum to suffer a recent run-in with the law. Just last week, the Smoking Gun Website unearthed the February DUI bust of Lyonne's Pie costar Chris Klein. Next up for Lyonne is a leading role in the comedy Max & Grace, in which (incest spoiler alert!) she plays opposite David Krumholtz, who played her brother Ben in Slums of Beverly Hills. The film recently had a well-received SXSW screening in Austin, Texas, and is expected in theaters this year.

Germany's Cardinal Ratzinger Elected Pope By WILLIAM J. KOLE, Associated Press Writer VATICAN CITY - Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger of Germany, the church's leading hard-liner, was elected the new pope Tuesday evening in the first conclave of the new millennium. He chose the name Pope Benedict XVI and called himself "a simple, humble worker." Ratzinger, the first German pope since the 11th century, emerged onto the balcony of St. Peter's Basilica, where he waved to a wildly cheering crowd of tens of thousands and gave his first blessing as pope. Other cardinals clad in their crimson robes came out on other balconies to watch him. "Dear brothers and sisters, after the great Pope John Paul II, the cardinals have elected me

New Pope Elected on Second Day of Conclave By WILLIAM J. KOLE, Associated Press Writer Crowds gathered in St. Peter's Square watch a screen showing white smoke emitting from the chimney at the Vatican Tuesday April 19, 2005. VATICAN CITY - White smoke poured from a chimney at the Vatican and bells tolled on Tuesday evening, announcing to the world that a new pope was elected in the first papal conclave of the new millennium. Crowds in St. Peter's Square chanted: "Viva il Papa!" or "Long live the pope!" "It's only been 24 hours, surprising how fast he was elected," Vatican Radio said, commenting on how the new pope was chosen on the conclave's second day. It was one of the fastest elections in the past century: Pope Pius XII was elected in 1939 in three ballots on one day, while Pope John Paul II was elected in 1978 in four ballots in one day. John Paul II's successor was elected after either four or five ballots over two days. More pilgrims poured into St. Peter's Square, and the bells kept ringing 10 minutes after the original tolling. Pilgrims said the rosary as they awaited the name of the new pope, and prelates stood on the roof of the Apostolic Palace, watching as the crowd nearly doubled. The bells rang at 6:04 p.m. (12:04 p.m. EDT) ending confusion over the smoke signal that had risen from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel. White smoke is used to announce the election of a new pope, along with the ringing of bells, which was added for this conclave. The world awaited the formal announcement of the new pope, to be made on the balcony of St. Peter's Basilica by Chilean Cardinal Jorge Arturo Medina Estivez. Niels Hendrich, a 40-year-old salesman from Hamburg, Germany, jumped up and down with joy and called his father on a cell phone. "Habemus papam!" he shouted into the phone, using the Latin for: "We have a pope." White smoke rises from the chimney above the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican, indicating a new pope has been elected Antoinette Hastings, from Kent Island, Md., rose from her wheelchair, grasping her hands together and crying. She has artificial knees, making it tough to stand. "I feel blessed, absolutely blessed," she said. "I just wish the rest of my family were here to experience this with me." The 265th pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church succeeds John Paul II, who died April 2 at age 84 after gaining extraordinary popularity over a 26-year pontificate, history's third-longest papacy. Millions mourned him around the world in a tribute to his charisma. Cardinals had faced a choice over whether to seek an older, skilled administrator who could serve as a "transitional" pope while the church absorbs John Paul's legacy, or a younger dynamic pastor and communicator
  19. 'Growing Pains' Star Alan Thicke to Wed LOS ANGELES - "Growing Pains" father Alan Thicke is headed to the altar again. Thicke, 58, will wed his longtime girlfriend, Tanya Callau, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on May 7, his publicist said in a statement Monday. It will be the third marriage for Thicke, who played TV dad Jason Seaver on ABC's "Growing Pains," which ran from 1985 to 1992. "I'll be on my third honeymoon, so I'm more of an authority than I care to be," Thicke joked in a statement. Thicke had a cameo in the 2004 film "Childstar" and is producing and writing a television pilot called "Second Honeymoon."
  20. Reese Snaps at Paparazzi By Josh Grossberg Was Legally Blonde babe Reese Witherspoon illegally trapped by a swarm of shutterbugs? That's what the actress contends happened Friday, after a routine trip to the gym Friday ended up with her filing a police report for false imprisonment at the hands of particularly pesky paparazzi. After a morning workout at her Brentwood gym, Witherspoon says she attempted to get to her car but was immediately surrounded by camera-clicking types, according to a spokesman for the LAPD. "Her trainer came out and had to help her get past them so she could get into her car," an unnamed member of Witherspoon's camp is quoted in the New York Daily News. "Then they boxed her in on all four sides." The actress eventually managed to pull away but was pursued by a half-dozen vehicles "driving aggressively and almost cutting her off at times," the police spokesman said. Upon arriving at her home, one of the vehicles blocked her front gate, preventing Witherspoon from entering her residence. Eventually, her own security detail chased off the paparazzi and escorted Witherspoon into the home she shares with hubby Ryan Phillippe, 5-year-old daughter Elizabeth and 18-month-old son, Deacon. At that point, one of her reps called the cops and filed the false-imprisonment report. The complaint is currently being evaluated by authorities. No charges have been filed. Witherspoon's publicist did not return phone calls seeking comment Monday. Her run-in with the overly aggressive paparazzi--dubbed stalkerazzi by celebs and their reps--is the latest in a string of increasingly brazen encounters between the star-obsessed shutterbugs and their prey. Last week, Jennifer Lopez said she got "goose pimples" after overly eager photographers tailing her car cut off her driver at a traffic light in Beverly Hills, almost causing an accident. Earlier this year, Nicole Kidman accused two paparazzi of bugging her estate in Sydney. She obtained a restraining order against them, but no charges have brought. And in November, Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake allegedly struck a Sean Penn-like blow for celebrities, allegedly fighting their way past two photographers outside Hollywood Chateau Marmont. In a twist, the incident prompted the literally starstruck lensmen to file a lawsuit and a criminal complaint against the couple for assault. The suit's still pending, but so far no charges have been filed against Diaz and Timberlake.
  21. 'One Hill Tree' Co-Stars Marry in Calif. SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Actress Sophia Bush and actor Chad Michael Murray, co-stars of the television series "One Tree Hill," are now one. They were married Saturday during a seaside ceremony at the Casa del Mar Hotel in Santa Monica, Bush's publicist, Sarah Fuller, said Monday. Bush, 22, and Murray, 23, met in 2003 while filming "One Tree Hill," in which she plays feisty cheerleader Brooke Davis and Murray plays Lucas Scott, a brooding intellectual struggling to find peace. They were engaged in July 2004. Murray said he proposed while they were in Australia, where he was finishing work on the movie "House of Wax." "I had a bunch of roses and I put lights down on a tennis court that spelled something out for her," he said at the time, declining to say what the message read. "House of Wax" debuts May 6. Bush stars in this summer's "Supercross."
  22. Jane Fonda Still Stirring Controversy By Gina Keating LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - She's back with a tell-all autobiography that has critics raving over its frankness and with a new movie in which she finally gets to do something she seldom did in her Hollywood heyday -- have fun by overacting. It's springtime for Jane Fonda. After more than a decade pretty much out of the public eye, the 67-year-old Oscar-winning actress has resurfaced to plug the book and a new movie and is receiving the same mix of adulation and outcry that used to dog every step of her very public life. Fonda's autobiography "My Life So Far" describes in blunt and painful detail how she made herself over to please her late father, actor Henry Fonda, and three husbands. She talks of arranging sexual threesomes for her first husband, French director Roger Vadim, of a 20-year battle against bulimia and of a few regrets about her highly publicized trip to Hanoi to oppose the Vietnam war. As letters to newspapers and calls to radio shows have shown over the past few weeks, Fonda remains a lightning rod for controversy. But she says she now understands and accepts her role as an immutable American icon. "I have to take responsibility for the fact that I represent something to people that is beyond me," Fonda told a small group of reporters in an interview to discuss "Monster-in-Law," in which she plays Jennifer Lopez' fire-breathing mother-in-law. "I represent a movement. I represent a set of values. I have to own that and I have to live that ... to not disappoint myself. You have to embody your values." "I can't stand complainers," she added. "If you commit yourself to being in the public eye with all the perks, the least you can do is take the ups and downs." "One thing I have learned the hard way is, it ain't gonna kill you," she added. "You just plow ahead, and if you're a decent person, people will know it." "Everything that is in my book is in it for a reason," she said. "In order to know where I've come from to arrive at 67 years old and feeling like it's the beginning, you have to know the extent to which I have betrayed myself." "I so thought that I wasn't good enough that I was willing to leave myself at the door to please the men in my life," Fonda said. "And I can't just say that theoretically. I have to say what that meant in a tangible way."While publicizing "Monster-In-Law," Fonda said she never intended to return to acting after her 1990 film, "Stanley & Iris." She stopped acting, in part, because her third husband, billionaire Ted Turner whom she divorced in 2001, asked her to quit. "I was really miserable acting for the last few films I did. I was scared every day going to work ... and then I met Ted Turner and I could quit," Fonda said. "I am a really different person today and I was curious to know whether I could re-experience joy in acting." She was attracted to "Monster-In-Law," a romantic comedy directed by "Legally Blond" director Robert Luketic, because of the broad physical comedy required for her portrayal of neurotic news anchor Viola Fields. "This character came along and I thought, 'Wow, wouldn't that be fun to play over the top?" she said. Fonda said she was relieved to find that Lopez, 35, was nothing like her tabloid reputation. "I was a little bit worried because I didn't know whether she would be a diva or not but ... she's smart and that matters," Fonda said. "She's professional. She showed up on time and she knew what to do." Fonda did not rule out more film work "from time to time ... if it was fun," but said her priorities were her family and her work helping young women rediscover their self-esteem. "Acting is something I have done and that I hope to do again but it is not who I am," she said. "I have had a very rich life so I am not looking to rebuild a career again." For her part, Lopez said she "had a lot of fun" working with Fonda after overcoming initial trepidation. "I can stand on my own but you do get the butterflies when Jane Fonda walks in the room, you can't help it ...," Lopez said. She said she asked Fonda how to go about becoming involved in politics if the inclination should strike. "She said there is a time and a way to do things," Lopez said. "She said when you're ready ... call me and I'll tell you what's right and what's wrong so you don't get yourself in trouble."
  23. Former TV Talker Tom Snyder Diagnosed With Leukemia Rick Ellis, Staff Writer Former late night television talk show host Tom Snyder has been diagnosed with leukemia. Snyder, who hosted NBC's late night "Tomorrow Show" as well as CBS' "The Late, Late Show With Tom Snyder," disclosed the news on his web site. He wrote on Friday that he got the bad news after battling "uncontrollable sweating," "bloating" and "general lack of stamina." He was also concerned that he had gained close to 50 pounds in the five years since he quit smoking. "I have been diagnosed with something called chronic lymphocytic leukemia," he wrote on his Web site. "When I was a kid leukemia was a death sentence. Now, my doctors say it's treatable! With pills or chemotherapy or a combination of both." Snyder wrote that while he is optimistic about his chances, he is also realistic about the future. "They say this kind of leukemia is not fatal, that people can live with it for thirty years. Notice, they don't say people will live 30 years. But they 'can' live up to 30 years," Snyder wrote. "I looked up chronic lymphocytic leukemia on the Internet and found a source that predicted people who are diagnosed early can live up to 12 years. Those who are not diagnosed early--and the website does not define 'early' -- have a survival rate of about two years," he continued. "I don't know if my diagnosis was early or late
  24. 'Webster' Actor Gets Warning for Speeding WARWICK, Ga. - Emmanuel Lewis, the former child star of the '80s TV series "Webster," got off with a warning for speeding after giving his autograph and posing for a photo with police, officials said. Officer Ron Kirk said he stopped a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in rural southwestern Georgia that had been traveling 70 mph in a 45 mph zone. Kirk immediately recognized Lewis. "Well, I grew up watching him and he was very nice and professional, so I just gave him a courtesy warning," Kirk told Albany TV station WALB. The officer asked for his autograph, and Lewis, 34, agreed to pose for a picture with Kirk and the town's police chief, Randy Howard Jr. Kirk said Lewis, who lives in the Atlanta area, was probably unfamiliar with the road and didn't realize there were speed-limit changes. Warwick, a tiny lakeside town about 30 miles northeast of Albany, gets most of its police department revenues from speeding fines, Kirk said.
  25. DUI for "Pie" Guy By Charlie Amter Bye, bye, American Pie...hello, DUI. Pie jock Chris Klein is facing two drunken driving-related charges following a February arrest in San Diego. San Diego's finest confirm that Klein, behind the wheel of a 2003 BMW cruising on San Diego's North Coast Highway, was pulled over by sheriff's deputies back on Feb. 5. The 26-year-old actor was given a Breathalyzer test on scene and, per the police report, blew a 0.20 or higher, more than twice California's legal limit of 0.08. Klein was arrested and taken to Vista Detention Center around 10:30 p.m., according to a clerk at the jail. He was booked under his full name, Frederick Christophe Klein, fingerprinted and processed at the facility, where he remained until 4:30 a.m. the following day. A mug shot of the actor has been published on The Smoking Gun, which broke the story of his arrest on Wednesday. The Website surmises the news hadn't been previously reported because Klein was charged under his full name. Klein has been rung up on with two misdemeanor counts--driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs and driving with a measurable blood alcohol level. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of six months in jail, along with a fine and suspension of license. He is scheduled to be arraigned later this month. The Illinois-born actor, who was discovered by Oscar-winning writer-director Alexander Payne in a high school hallway when the filmmaker was scouting locations for Election, was last seen in the 2004 indie flick The United States of Leland. His alleged booze crusie came just weeks before his high-profile split with former Dawson's Creek cutie Katie Holmes. The couple, who dated for five years, called off their engagement in early March. When not making court appearances, Klein will next be seen in the upcoming comedy The Long Weekend, about a pair of brothers--one an uptight careerman (Brendan Fehr), one a wild playboy (Klein)--who have different ideas about the right way to spend their weekend. Klein will then shoot Just Friends, which costars Alanis Morissette.
