  1. another jersey shore wannabee

    a walking stereotype

knows why she was cast to breathe every possible Italian stereotype imaginable

probably will be the house gossip about everyone

i would be surprised if she was level headed and have chill personality

the pretty girls of house may get under her skins

hoping to be surprise but i doubt it

but even with all my reservation she does seem to have some game savvy

also hope they shorten her name on the show to just gina

we dont need the marie part

if she ends up being a fan favorite i would be shock

    :animated_bouncy:

Is this meant as an insult to Italians? I like that she is Italian and I am an Italian as well and frankly normally root for the Italians in every thing. Unfortunately I think she needs a better strategy then what she has right now to get very far, hope she makes it though.

  2. Based on the video's I saw of her I will say this, I think she is going to be like her sister and frankly if she is I will not like her one bit. She will be found out pretty quickly I think which will end up hurting her game. While I think she will be in the game for a while I don't see her winning.

  3. Every year I always take a wait and see approach to the game on who I like and who I don't like. I will be doing the same thing this season, I have two players in mind that based on their interviews I kind of like and would like to see go far but we will have to see. I also have one that I think sounds like he is arrogant and frankly I was turned off by him in the interview and if he acts like that in the house I will be rooting for him to be evicted every week until it happens.

  4. I voted for Amanda based on the BigBrotherNetwork.com video where she was asked a scenario question. your ally is on the block and you have a chance to win the POV and take your ally off the block would you do any of the following. It was burn your clothes you are wearing, shave your head, go on slop for a week, go on slop for a month, take a scum bath every hour for a day, give up your ability to play for HOH the next week. She answered the questions instead with a definitive yes or no she said she would have to see where she was in the game at the time. That to me is the right answer at this time because it says she is willing to go with the punches and see what happens before making any decisions. How many people try to go into the game with one strategy that they will never change and I think none of them have actually won. Now I am not saying she will win this year but I think her answer was a good one.

  5. Kaitlin doesn't seem very trusting which could be her saving grace because this is not a game where you can trust too many people, but if she lets it out that she is not very trusting it could turn out against her. In the end I think she has a shot to make it pretty far if she plays it right. Jeremy might be the Frank of the season, the one that thinks he is all that and will win the game no matter what. This attitude doesn't seem to be very good in the house while he will probably make it to jury I don't see him winning, I think people are going to try to vote him out first thing. Elissa does seem to be somewhat like her sister and I think might get really annoying really fast.

  6. Big Brother 15 starts one week from today and then the backstabbing will begin. Tommorrow to find out about the Houseguests and then it will be waiting game from there. So lets give out the Big Brother Awards. These awards are for seasons 1-14, I will name the categories and then you can fill in the winner in your eyes.

    Best Houseguest: Evel Dick

    Best Game move: Dan's funeral

Stupidest game move: Marcellus not using the POV to save himself

Best season twist: Season 8, four "enemies"

Best House Design: Season 9- I liked the log cabin feel to the house.

    Worst Houseguest: Jesse

    Best Alliance: Brigade

    Best Showmance: Jeff and Jordan

    Cry Baby: Amber, Season 8

If you can come up with more categories go ahead.

  7. I didn't mind returning HG's either until they exhausted me with it. I need a break from it. I will be fine if I never see Jesse or either of the Donatos again (just to name a few). Same for Jeff and Jordan and the blonde from Arkansas/Oklahoma with the wandering eye - cannot remember her name right now.. Enough, already. Not saying that I wouldn't watch a show with Jeff and Jordan just not BB 15; please.

I agree, the past few years they have completely run the whole concept of returning players over with a semi and then back up and did it again. It has come to a point that I just don't want to see returning Houseguests what so ever. When they did it for BB10 I loved the idea because it was a returning player who could impact the game, season 11 not having a returning player was great and then 12 again not seeing a returning player was also great even though those seasons twists were not very good and the cast was not very good as well. But then season 13 they had six returning Houseguests and then another 4 last season. I don't it happening once every three or so years but to have it twice in the past 3 or even 3 in the past 5 it just becomes overdone.

I am thrilled that there are no returning players this year because if there were i would probably be writing Allison Grodner some hate mail (no threats or anything). This season's twist is intriquing for me because I am looking forward to seeing how this will play out.

  8. I am OK with this twist as long as the power that is given is that the MVP chooses the third nominee and the HOH chooses two. I don't want to see the MVP be given any sort of POV power because I think it takes away from the POV competition. And based on what Julie Chen said in the reveal where America will have an impact on nominations I think the MVP will be given the power to choose the third nominee. How this will play out in accordance to the POV I am not sure but I think this twist might make things pretty interesting.

  9. The thing that worries me about America Voting is it opens the Producers to manipulate the vote and do what they want all along and basically make sure their favorite wins the game. Unless Big Brother becomes transparent in that they reveal the actual vote count maybe during the voting process like a poll would and then when they announce the final vote as well that would ease my mind but I doubt they would do that. As for power Player I actually think it might be cool to see maybe the HOH nominate two people for eviction and then the PP nominates one. Veto is allowed to take one off the block and then there are a total of three people nominated each week. That might be the best way to do it.

  10. There is a new rumor out there that says that BB15's twist is Power Players. I guess America will vote for one player each week to be a power player. What do you think? Good? Bad?

I for one like the concept because it can totally impact the game but I think it opens it up too much for Grodner to pick her favorite and make sure he/she sails to the end. The only way this works I think is if the power player only really gets to play in POV and maybe has the ability to be saved for the week. The other thing is BB needs to make their voting more transparent. Why not show the results of the voting as it is happening? This way when the announce the outcome they can't announce an outcome that really isnt the outcome which I suspect is something they do. My fear is that the Power player is going to get some sort of coup de tat power that quite frankly can really ruin the game because it will get old fast.

  11. I have been thinking really hard how this season will be a "no floater summer" and the only thing I came up with that might allow that is teams or duo's but frankly these type of things have been done so often that it is overdone. It seems since BB9 every season has been teams of some sort or another. BB9 was couples, BB10 was teams, BB11 and 12 wre the only two that didn't have duo's or teams and then BB13 was duo's and BB14 was teams. I like the idea of maybe a mother son relationship in the house because it could lead to some good tv especially if they are placed on the block together. But splitting the house into teams or duo's is just over done at this point. If I was in charge I would place a phone in the sauna room and I would ring it every now and then and who ever answers the phone first would get a challenge to complete, if they complete it they get a reward if they fail to complete they get a punishment. Punishments would range from being placed on slop for two weeks, being placed into solitary for 24 hours, not being able to compete in HOH for a few weeks and so forth. The rewards would be phone call from home, letter from a loved one, video message from a loved one, Or a POV pass allowing the person to play in a POV that they would not ordinarily be allowed to compete in.

  12. I hate the idea of NO POV because it gives way too much control to the HOH and almost makes them immune from their decisions as HOH. Currently when the HOH nominates someone for eviction they have to worry about that person coming after them the next week if they were to either win the POV or not get evicted through the vote. But if they take out the POV the HOH can talk to the houseguests prior to nominations and pick a name that most people would vote to evict. Basically the HOH can run the show and the next week doesn't have to worry about backlash from the people they nominated. Also without the POV the floaters are given a better chance of winning the game because the HOH will nominate the strongest players.

  13. Last year it seemed we had pictures of the house and the twist was pretty much revealed by now but this year we have not heard anything. I hope we start getting something soon because I am starting to get anxious.

  14. 1. NO returning HG's

    2. NO Have-Have Not/SLOP (it's stupid, boring and in many cases mean and not healthy)

    3. No Teams...all HG's compete for everything as a group (food, luxuries, etc)

    4. Get Rid of Pandora's Box (we all know every HG is going to open it (they are prob told in DR they have to) and I am sure if one said they were not Grodner would have them in the DR really fast changing their minds and the feeds would be a whole lotta FOtH..just imagine saying "no" and Grodner has Jesse behind the box waiting to perform like a trained seal!!!)

    5. Veto: if they must have it, I want to see, on camera, everyone put their name chip in the bag. Janelle said they do that off camera but we all know the HG's have to say anything production wants them to say or they are in danger of being fined per their contract! If they do it off-camera it doesn't take any more time to do it on camera right before the drawing!

    6. Veto: if they must have it everyone plays

    7. No more diamond (emerald, platinum or titanium) vetos and no special powers

    8. Competition perks that mean something to everyone like playing for letters or something from home each week (not just for the HOH). They could throw in some of these every week for very little extra money/set building and it would give the HG's something to do besides lie around and complain all the time

    9. Definitely violation penalties: Even if it's just something silly like that person has to make everyone's bed for a day, do all the laundry or some little chore it would be better than them getting away with it. X-number of violations and they would have to sit out an HOH or Veto comp

    10. Fire Alison Grodner and get a producer who is not so lazy and actually cares about the show and the fans!!!

I agree with no returning Houseguests as I think they have over done it the past few years. They came up with the Coaches twist last year to be able to say no returning Houseguests but in the end we all knew the intent of Grodner was to put the coaches into the game. I also agree that they should do away with the Have not's as it has been a while and I think has turned to injuring the houseguests. But I think they need to keep food restrictions because it makes the Houseguests irritable and that makes for better TV. But they should do what they did before, where the House plays for food and some of the house goes on slop and the others get full food. Then some weeks the whole plays for food for the week and there is always the possibility the whole gouse gets put on slop. I just think the food restriction makes for better TV. I agree no Teams, they tried teams before it I think it failed miserably, they also tried pairs and that was OK but the second time they went for it they brought in something else to hopefully make it better but I think just ruined it. I agree no Pandoras Box it has been done so often that it has turned predictable. Frankly the VETO is a good thing because it gives people a fighting chance to stay in the game, but I think the whole house should play for it. I think the reason they changed it to only six people playing is because they wanted a better chance of it being used, but yet again the really only time it is used is when the person who wins it is nominated. Every now and then you get it used otherwise but that is very rare. I also think they need to do more luxory and reward type competitions, I would love to see more letters from home or even a phone call from home for the houseguests.

  15. RUMORS

    1. Half of the HG's will be over 35 yrs old and the other half under 28 yrs old.

    2. BB15 HG's will enter the house on June 20, finale on Sept 25th....

    3. There will be 18 HG's on BB15 with NO returnees.

    4. Much of the house has a contemporary Asian theme

Not confirmed, just the rumor mill

Where did these rumors come from? I have been looking for rumors for the a little while and have found nothing.

  16. I've read a lot of good suggestions here. I hope the powers-that-be are reading. Keep it simple is my mantra. I hope that they find new and exciting and as normal as possible houseguests and I hope that they take special care to represent various ages, ethnicities and sexual orientations. I want to see normal people exposed to competition, subsequent stress and a learning curve. It's the point of Big Brother for me. Normal people under a microscope. Us.

They kind of do that with the VETO competition, but I like it for the eviction as well. I think it would spice things up in the house as the people that will vote for eviction will be getting the nominees in their ears for a few days. Maybe they can have the HOH announce their choice publicly on the night of eviction and then then have the houseguests pull names out of the bag like they do for VETO. This might be a good twist to change things up and it doesn't require returning houseguests.

  17. Janis: "I would also like to see them hand out punishments for breaking the rules. Especially for singing. I think they should get 1 warning and after that be put on slop or something."

Janis... I think I post every year about the singing.

Seems to me with all that time on their hands some of them wouldn't slap together some of their own lyrics if they

    have the urge to sing.

BUT then, of course, there's always the HG's that like to stop the feeds to yank the FEED folks chains.

Agree there should be some type of punishment for the HGs that do it.

But - sadly it's been mentioned many times and the producers haven't picked up on the viewers suggestion(s).

The problem I have with punishing the Houseguests for minor violations like talking about production or singing is that the punishments they would give would be too much for such a minor violation. Putting people on slop for singing to me is a little harsh and frankly won't stop anyone from doing it since all they are trying to do is pass the time. I think what we will get is everyone on slop and that just makes the whole show non interesting.

  18. Just thought of something extra to the POV winner chooses replacement... If someone else mentioned this already, well good on ya! Great minds think alike.

Okay, so someone wins POV.. They can choose to exercise their right to name a replacement or they can refuse to, if they choose not to name a replacement then its business as usually, HOH names replacement. So it'll go like " I have won the POV and I am using on myself or I am using it on blah blah blah and I choose not to name a replacement."

If the POV winner chooses to exercise their right to name a replacement, in turn they forfeit their right to vote on eviction night, there fore giving the HOH the right to vote on eviction night.

I don't like the idea of the VETO winner choosing the replacement nominee because I think it takes too much power from the HOH and esstentially you are giving a coup de tat to the VETO winner. In my mind the VETO winner should just be able to take one person off the block and the HOH should remain with the sole power to replace. Another reason for the HOH having the power to replace is it has has the potential to make trouble for the HOH as the repalcement could go after the HOH if that person were to win the vote.

I see no need for Power of Veto at all or at least not every week. I would like to see one season without it or only drag it out once or twice. Big Brother needs, imo, a much more simplistic approach. You screw-up you're gone. They need to give them chores/tasks to keep them busy. I am not a fan of watching a bunch of sluggards lazing away days and nights. Hone the competitive spirit. And.....for chrissakes, no more vets.

The dangers of not having a veto is the HOH has all the power. One of the great things is the HOH nominating two people for eviction and the one person who has vowed to come back with a vengence wins POV basically making the HOH scramble to make deals.

Completely agree on the HoH - not letting them play the next week forces them to make deals and think beyond their week in charge. Also agree it would be really interesting to bring in a brand new houseguest a couple of weeks into the game and let the HGs play them for their vote. I wouldn't force them to give up any prize money, but I would do it early on - certainly no later than after the third eviction. It could be done earlier (after the first eviction), with them competing either in another location to win a place in the house or put to the public vote - that justifies them being eligible for the full prize as they would be part of the show from the beginning, just not in the house. I do think though leaving it till about week 3 or 4 is best though as send them in to early and the house will still be united enough to vote them straight out - but leave it an extra couple of weeks and they should be divided enough to care more about evicting each other than evicting the newbie.

The Veto is long overdue a change IMO. I don't agree with the Veto winner deciding the replacement nominee as I think that takes too much power from the HoH - and already the Veto is probably seen as important as HoH, especially in the latter stages). Maybe add a twist that any player can only use the Veto once in a season - or can only be Vetoed once in a series. If you did the latter that could encourage your rivals to Veto you early in the season knowing if you go up again the next week you can't save yourself.

I actually quite like the idea of the VETO only being able to be used once per person. It shakes the game up and makes people seriously think before they use the VETO.

  19. I think we have to remember every move in this game can have consequences. Here's one thing I've thought about. Every couple of weeks you have a challenge which involves all the players in the house. The winner gets the prize but doesn't know what the prize is until they go to the diary room and receive it. Those prizes would consist of things which can change the game like being able to pull a player off the block at any time including eviction night, being able to take the HOH from the current occupant, being able to throw another player into solitaire for 24 hours, getting possession of the POV within 24 hours of it being used (so the current player loses it), forcing the entire house to go without food for 24 hours, etc. etc... They would have to be big moves in the game that could drastically affect the user, whether it's good or bad. They have the choice of whether they tell other players what they won or keep it secret. The other HG would be on their toes a lot more because they would worry whatever it is being used against them. They could either be given a time limit as to how soon they use it or be able to carry it with them throughout the game. If they are evicted and haven't used the power, it can possibly be passed on to someone else in private. I think the HG knowing these things are floating around the house and could affect their game would be an interesting dynamic. This show has become too predictable and something needs to change and on a drastic level. This kind of angle would play to the "expect the unexpected" but also put another layer in the game that is somewhat out of each player's hands. It wouldn't have to be these exact examples but I do like putting another element into the game which puts even more stress on the HG.

I've said it time and again NO REPEAT HGS!!! I also agree they need to do away with slop. Too many people get physically ill, not just for that one week but weeks afterward. It's abuse IMO. Get rid of it.

OK another idea just popped in my head. Going on my original concept above, once the winner of the challenge wins and goes to the diary room, they could have the option of drawing an envelope out of a group of envelopes. The prize could either be something that could change the game or simply a prize like money, a trip, a new TV, etc.... they still have the option of telling the others about their prize or not. That way the others won't know if it was a regular prize or a game changer.

One other thing I'd like to see is TPTB giving the HG things they can do in the house whether it's art projects or something they could do for a charity. They need to realize as long as we have fun things to watch there will be more people using the live feeds. There are way tooooo many hours or boring stuff that folks start tuning out and that's never good. I also agree with bbjag that they need to have the food comps again instead of have and have nots.

The problem with the idea above is that I think it opens the possibility of the Producers trying to affect the game. If there is a competition and someone the producers feel will be nominated wins the producers could make the prize "take the HOH away from the current HOH, or for that matter here is the POV. I have thought long and hard about the POV and how they could change it to make things a little less predictable but haven't thought of one that is fair and doesn't give the producers more of a chance to affect the outcome of the game.

All new faces, no one who knows a previous Hg's.

No returning Hg's, coaches, pairs, friends.

    More food comps.

Early double eviction, like week 2..

POV chooses replacement ( hopefully that will cease the throwing of comps)

There should be a way to lock the bedrooms during the day, only bedroom that stays unlock is the HOH.

If someone must return from jury, let all evicted HG compete for the chance to play again.

    Please no Pandora's box

I do like diamond POVs, let them compete for it though, an endurance challenge maybe.

Everyone plays for POV.. Everyone plays for HOH even if you were last weeks HOH..

We need a fresh new game this year, because I'm about to seriously be done with this repackaged crap every single year , enough is enough.

I actually like the idea of having an early double eviction because right now it seems the Houseguests can almost predict when a double eviction will happen. If they bring one the second or third week it would throw people off because no one would expect one right away. I also like the idea of everyone playing for Veto even though it might open it up for the POV not be used as many times. As for letting all players including the outgoing HOH to play for HOH I think is unfair in many ways. I think it opens it up for someone to be HOH three or even four times in a row because of how strong they are in the comps which basically kind of takes away from the game. I like that more the outgoing HOH not play to give another person a chance and the outgoing HOH than has to wonder if they are going to be made to pay for their nominations.

I don't like that people take naps during the day but I also think it gives others a chance to talk and many times it makes the live feeds kind of interesting. The only problem is that when everyone is taking a nap and the live feeds get boring. I would say maybe they can make a rule that no naps can take place during the day.

I really don't care for returning players but would love to see them bring in a brand new Houseguest after a few weeks. There are always a few times when they want to bring back someone else and it is always either between a evicted Houseguest or a new player, but instead of having the option of an evicted houseguest coming back in bring in someone brand new into the game after a few weeks with the stipulation that the new Houseguest loses part of the $500,000 if they win.

  20. One thing I think is long overdue is a major change to the gameplay - from season 2 to 6 they tweaked the rules every year (mainly around the Veto), but since then apart from the Veto players being randomly drawn (S6 or 7 I think) nothing has changed. The Veto definately needs shaking up as it's too dominant at the moment - there needs to be some sort of consequence of using it or attempting to backdoor someone, so I think I'd either like to see the rules changed so only those who play in the Veto can be nominated (returning to HGs picking players as they need to weigh up people competing for them vs allies being nominated) or rather than let backdooring be as predictable as it always is throw in the wildcard and let the viewers decide the replacement nominee everytime a Veto is used, removing control from the house. That would make eviction nights far less predictable.

I agree it's time to scrap the Have Nots - I think a weekly food comp where the HGs effectively compete individually to avoid Slop could work, with the twist being at the end the HoH has the option to gamble (knowing who is on slop) to win food for the entire house.

I think we also need to change who plays in the POV and just return it to everyone play for it. The change was made to try to change the likleyhood that it be used, but even with the current rules the POV is used almost as much as it was when everyone was allowed to play. Also the backdoor move is a good power play in the house and therefore it needs to be kept.
