  1. I am not a fan of Devin, but I think he is a decent guy who really cares about his daughter and wants the best for her. He was definitely not cut out for a game like this that REQUIRES a certain amount of lying, scheming and/or manipulating. Either that or has the ability to ride the coattails of someone who has those qualities. Trying to play this game with honesty and integrity will only get you a fast eviction.
  2. I have to agree that Derrick is playing this game phenomenally for now. However, like most phenomenal players he is an egotistical, lying, scheming, manipulative sleazebag, LOL . Just kidding! Derrick is playing this game exactly the way that he is supposed to. I am sure that I will see him in the Final Four!
  3. I don't want to beat a dead horse, but my friend and I were watching BBAD and saw Derrick and Nicole talking about possibly putting Donny up. Nicole was telling Derrick she had some reservations about who to put up as her second nominee. Derrick told her that because Amber had just told them that Donny was running his mouth, putting him up might serve as a warning, or something to that effect. Nicole was not happy about that choice and probably did not make up her mind to actually do it until the last minute. Maybe that was what she was referring to when she said that she didn't have time to talk to Derrick before making her final decision of putting Donny up. On the CBS show, Nicole talked about her reasons for putting Donny up that was clearly based on Amber's last minute information. Derrick would have found out Nicole's final decision when he got ready to put his keys in, but that certainly does not mean he had no idea that Donny was a potential nominee.
  4. It is true that I don't have the feeds, but I do watch BBAD every night. Yes, Derrick was masterful in the way he got Caleb to volunteer. But he did so based on the discussions with Nicole . Nicole told Derrick that she planned to put up Amber and Derrick saw a way to get rid of Caleb if Devin were to win the Veto. However, Derrick and Nicole did discuss putting up Donny after Amber came to the HOH and told them what she had overheard Donny saying. Derrick told her that she should put him up as a warning to keep his mouth shut, or something to that effect. And she felt very bad about doing it. I agree that he is wise to hide behind other players, that is good game play but manipulating people or bullying them to do your bidding is just a horse of a different color, IMHO.
  5. They all have been in and out of alliances and deals like crazy. Devin is no different that the other alliance members. Everyone's trying to position themselves in secret alliances. Devin does have problems changing his targets but that does not make him a headcase in my opinion. Devin has made mistakes and has learned from them. Yes, he backstabbed Donny, but Devin apologized to him for it and frankly, since Donny does have a big target on his back, he needs allies to stay in the house. Donny is slated to be evicted in the next few weeks along with Victoria, Jocasta and Brittany. They will all be voted out unless they get help. Devin, unfortunately, was the only one that could possibly help him.
  6. I agree, I am not a serial hug and kisser, I only hug and kiss when appropriate. I just wasn't raised that way. I think it is fine to hug and kiss minor children goodnight, but not grown ass men and women, with the exception of your spouse or significant other, of course. I think it is fine to hug and kiss when greeting someone you care for and when saying goodbye. But I would draw the line at other contestants trying to hug or kiss me goodnight every night for weeks or months.
  7. I am sure they see it, but he also gives information to them and they do not think of him as a threat. At least, not yet. But what bugs me, straykat, is that he hugs and kisses everyone good night. And they all seem to enjoy it!
  8. I am not a fan of Devin's, I think he did play his HOH erratically and stupidly. But in his defense, he expected that as HOH, his decisions would be respected. If not by the house, at least by his alliance. He had every reason to be paranoid, as Zach was plotting against him. Derrick did the same with Caleb as Devin did with Zach. Derrick's paranoid delusions regarding Caleb made him manipulate Caleb into volunteering for the block. Derrick's decision to manipulate Nicole into putting Donny on the block was based purely on emotions. Isn't that the reason Donny went on the block, for talking to Jocasta and Brittney about Derrick's group? And Derrick continues to throw Donny under the bus every chance he can based on reasons only known to him. Devin was not afraid to do his own dirty work, while Derrick has others do it for him. Good for Derrick the great manipulator, I guess that skill is needed in this game. So yes, he is playing his game better than Devin, but he is just as egotistical as Devin. He is convinced that he can continue to control the others, as did Devin. But only time will tell.
  9. Amber is in one heck of a position. Is sexual harrassment acceptable in the BB house?
  10. Some of the HG's said he was a "trust fund baby". I don't know if this is true, but if it is, I would have a problem with a very rich HG winning BB. It seems like it would be an unfair advantage. Who knows what outside deals could be made for votes? Now in contrast, I am not saying that I think the winner should be based on who needs it more, but I would like to think that the money would be life-changing for the winner.
  11. Yes, my original post was before Devin won HOH. When he put Zach on the block, Devin asked Hayden to join the group as a replacement for Zach. Little did he know that Hayden would be Devin's replacement.
  12. That is why he should have thrown the Veto to Devin, if possible. Or if not, thrown the comp. Winning that second Veto did nothing but confirm him as a threat to the others.
  13. I agree, Derrick is becoming as egotistical as Devin. I think the major reason that Devin is on the block is because he is a strong competitor and not easily manipulated. And the people with the better social game would not be able to use him so readily, so he "gots to go"! He was a major threat to Derrick, Zach, Cody and Frankie so they were able to rally the group against Devin with ease. He was more outspoken than the others because he was, after all, HOH. This was so bogus, what they did to him. He was HOH and had the final say of who he wanted on the block, and who he wanted to go home. For another member of his alliance to publicly oppose him because he disagreed with a sitting HOH's target is unheard of in BB history. OK, maybe he shouldn't have called Zach's bluff and put him on the block, but evicting Paola should have been Devin's only punishment. For the entire alliance to turn on Devin was wrong, his blowing up the BS was his only recourse to save himself. Unfortunately, it looks like it was all to no avail.
  14. Ut, oh!! And after all he has done for her. I suspect major Amber bashing to commence, LOL.
  15. Ok, they are no longer the Bomb Squad. But they are still the Fake 8, LOL. However, I have to give credit where credit is due. The Fake 8 seems to have this game locked up. There does not seem to be any opposition! Some Fake 8 members have lulled Donny into a false sense of security with side alliances. Donny actually think that he will be around for awhile because of his pseudo alliances: Team America, and the possible Donny, Zach, Hayden and Cody alliance. The Team America alliance is shaky because Derrick is throwing Donny under the bus every chance he gets . And I believe that the Donny, Zach, Hayden and Cody alliance was only proposed so that Donny would stop talking to the girls against the Fake 8. They have no intention of honoring it. When Donny is put on the block or backdoored, they can easily claim that they voted for him to stay but was outnumbered. Donny is on the short list for eviction, he had better form a true alliance soon.
  16. I completely agree! It is just a matter of time before Donny is targeted by the BS. He needs Devin and the others on the short list for eviction to form an alliance to fight back. The BS is picking off the others one by one. If Donny continues to help them he CAN kiss his game goodbye. He should try to get Jocasta, Brittney, Victoria and Devin to win HOH and Veto comps so that they have a fighting chance to at least make it to jury. Without Devin, none of them will. Granted, the girls seem to be the weakest players but they should try to do something other than just accept their fate.
  17. Maybe there is some truth to Frankie's remarks that 8 of the HGs have never seen the game before and 8 of them are Superfans. It would explain soooo much!!
  18. I agree! He should not have won that pov. He knew that some of the guys in the house were still skeptical of his real life situation and his win gave credence to the false rumors. Who was he trying to impress by winning? Not Jocasta, he knew that Jocasta was safe according to Derrick and the house. All he did was to establish himself as a big threat and put a bigger target on his back. Since Devin was close to winning, he should have let Devin have it. Remember Donny is a Superfan. He should have known that keeping Devin in the house fighting with his group could only be good for Donny's game.
  19. Poor Paola, stabbed in the back by Devin, but que sera, sera!
  20. Yes, I agree. This was mentioned several times this season by the HG's in the back yard.
  21. This Team America team is already having problems. Derrick is throwing Donny under the bus for no apparent reason other than he thinks Donny "disrespected" him when Donny questioned why he was put on the block. Derrick is fast becoming an even bigger tyrant than Devin. However, to his defense, Derrick seems to be a more intelligent player. But only time will tell. On another note, was the guys of Team America told that they could tell other HG's about their team if it would help their game? Then how come Joey was given that option? Was it because Grodner hoped that it would weaken Joey's game because she was not happy with Joey as America's choice?
  22. Yes, I really liked Devin before he became a power hungry tyrant, LOL. I really thought he was a Superfan and would play this game skillfully. But apparently he either didn't watch enough seasons of BB to know how the game should be played or he did not understand that his alliance members are not there merely to do his bidding. Major fail!! But Derrick is taking over this game in Devin's stead. He is starting to lie, manipulate and control everyone he can. I am shocked and appalled at what he is doing to Donny. Donny is his Team America member, but he has thrown him under the bus to several people already. I am sure he pressured Nicole to put Donny on the block. He told Jocasta that someone told Nicole that Donny was talking/complaining to Jocasta and that was why Jocasta and Donny was put on the block. He told Cody that he was beginning to have trust issues with Donny. Why is he doing this to Donny?
  23. Poor Devin, how could he be so stupid when he knew that his trustworthiness and his word was all he had in this game? He made a big deal out of informing the house of his honesty and integrity yet, he went back on his word and did not pull Paola off the block and had the audacity to put Zach on. Did he really think that these major violations would be overlooked by his cohorts??? Was his ego really that big?
  24. I think that is the purpose of the "team" concept. They will probably do each task as a team.
