Which makes me wonder if they knew each other coming into the house and had a pre-set plan.  I don't recall ever seeing Paul build any type of "friendship"

with Xmas so it boggles the mind as to why they are so incredibly devoted to each other.  Are they in business together?  Do they have business plans once

the season ends?  We have no way of knowing, but the connection / bond they have over-rides everything, and it makes sense for Paul to want to take Xmas

since she's done absolutely nothing the entire season (except to insure Paul wins), but why Xmas is so devoted to him makes far less sense since she has

to know she can't win.  If you know you're playing for 2nd, what difference does it make that you have to be with Paul?  At least with Kevin, maybe there'd

    be a toss up chance.

    It's all hinky.

Maybe some negotiations took place between Christmas and CBS, while she was in Medical...

I can blame CBS for rigging the 3 week safety vote and a few other things, but, I can no longer blame CBS for the actions of this cast. There is no way CBS could have known the level of stupid that these people would rise to. I am sure they probably could point to this person being dumb and that person being stupid. But, they could not know what would happen when you put them all together. There is no way CBS could have known that over half the people would just fall in line, quit playing the game and do Paul's bidding. You had people literally ask Paul if he thought it would be a good idea if they took a nap. So, I just cannot continue blaming CBS and letting these idiots off the hook.

I can appreciate that. Probably just my conspiracy imagination. But with all the psych evals and testing that they put applicants through before selecting the cast, I believe they probably have a good idea how many and who will follow the "celebrity" leader.

A lot of that crying he was doing in private and the jury will never know. I think the guy is just emotionally immature.

He was crying to Alex about Jason. And about Jason to Jason in the hot tub. He was crying to Raven about Raven - even though he voted Kevin in the eviction.

It's his attempt at gameplay. It's weak and dumb, but at least he's trying.

I agree with all of this, except in this case if I were on the jury and had time to decompress and think more clearly, I would also start to realize that Paul had two major advantages:  3 weeks of safety from the get-go, and he was the only returning veteran with experience under his belt.  Taking such major advantages into account, I would then discount everything else he did and conclude that whoever he is sitting next to should be crowned the winner.  Just out of fairness.

Don't forget the ridiculous friendship bracelets.

I can't believe Raven actually told Julie that she thought she played a great game.  I can believe she said she couldn't blame them for evicting her since with her story - who would want to take her to final 2.  LOL

She's, like, really dumb. Especially for a Mensa with a Dance GPA, whose mom was also Mensa

  6. The "anger" label is so misdirected. I haven't heard it used about Josh or Kevin or Paul this year. And they have been just as aggressive at times. It's just because they are more extroverted and Cody was introverted. That's it. And there's nothing wrong with being introverted in life's lessons. In fact, surveys show that introverts are more successful in business careers.

Cody does not rely on others for his energy. And he doesn't suffer fools. Makes him a bad contestant for BB, but not life. (And you had to believe Casting suspected this would go down this way.)

  7. If Josh had used POV, no way Alex puts Paul up. Christmas goes up. That really doesn't help Josh make a big move. (Though it may have helped his game in the end.) But Josh didn't miss the big move opportunity - Alex did.

I think the crying from Josh was his lame attempt to get jury votes. It's gameplay in his childlike mind.

Paul on the other hand was badgering Josh for Alex's benefit. He wanted to look like he didn't know it was coming. And he wanted to marginalize anything Josh might say. So he went after him aggressively. Christmas was the one who should have stepped in and say, "wait a minute - you were in on this too". If she had any gameplay or intelligence or even loyalty to Josh.

Another of the many inconsistencies about Christmas that make you go, hmmmmm...

  8. It's definitely an unfair advantage for the vets. They have already progressed on the game's learning curve. They know the competitions. And they are revered by the newbies as "celebrities". Also, makes it easier for CBS to market, because the public knows the vets, so we already are vested.

This particular season was sooooo stacked for Paul to win. I have to think they intentionally vetted the cast with Paul's victory in mind.

Production allowed her to stay despite being unable to compete...so they probably made a deal with her to work with Paul...I'm not being serious, but given that she ought not have been ablet o continue...it fits our feelings of how they act.

You actually could be on to something. Could have been:

Look, you got a raw deal. You need surgery. Hang in there, align with a "strong player" (hint: Paul), make it as far as you can. Then we'll pay for surgery and have you back next summer.

Would explain her fraud and playing a different game from the one she told us she was going to play.

  10. Again, giving Josh too much credit. Yes, it's satisfying that he had a moment of clarity regarding Paul. But how could you NOT think that way about Paul's use of the POV? I mean, no one should ever want someone to use the POV unless it's a backdoor plan. This was not supposed to be a backdoor plan for Christmas/Josh. So, the HOH alliance is supposed to be upset about having to nominate someone else. Josh is not brilliant - he's just acting like he's supposed to and like hundreds of others before him have. No credit due there.

What is ridiculous is that Christmas is NOT upset about Paul using the POV. For someone who projects herself as a strong woman, she is so weak and dependent.

I agree with this except I think the way Paul has it planned is that he and Raven are voting to keep Kevin this Thursday. Josh and Alex are to vote to keep Jason. Then Xmas will break the tie. If this happens it makes Alex and Josh a target for Kevin because they voted against him. Paul will look good to Kevin because he wanted to keep him. Alex will be pissed at Xmas for voting out Jason. Paul will act like they were betrayed by Xmas to Alex and he'll be good with everyone. If Kevin wins HOH I think he'll put up Alex and Xmas or maybe even Josh and Xmas. Heck now I'm starting to confuse myself. The only clear thing is that Paul comes out looking good.

Not sure Paul is worried about appeasing Kevin. He will have to choose between Alex and Christmas tonight though. Can't make them both happy. Although, I'm sure he can lie and put doubt on Josh somehow.

Also, not sure why Josh would go against Christmas and vote out Kevin.

I think Josh is a lock to vote out Jason. Alex is a lock to vote out Kevin. Raven will do whatever Paul says. Which means they probably do split the vote, and force Christmas into the bloody hands. Jason will be gone. Alex will be mad. Paul will blame Christmas, Josh, and Raven. Josh won't be happy. Paul will blame Raven, Alex. Christmas should be most unhappy. Paul will blame Alex and Raven - or maybe even try to sow doubt on Josh.

All houseguests will believe everything Paul tells them. Perfectly according to the CBS script.

  12. What all rules have been bent or broken?  I haven't read all the history here and don't watch many live feeds. But I've had the feeling that CBS has gotten lax on the rules this summer, as well. Christmas being allowed to come back and stay in the house. Josh standing on the line for the HOH putting contest that he ultimately "won". Matt and the food. Alex throwing out the slop. Josh and his bullying. Heck, even holding the door open on eviction night used to be a no-no.

  13. You guys are reading too much into Josh. It's simple. He's a immature kid in a grownup body. His mental age is half his physical age. At times, he shows flashes of intelligence and moments of clarity. Then he runs off and bangs pans or asks Paul if he can take a nap or cries into Christmas's shoulder. He's a 12 year old kid at a really long summer camp.

  14. Jessica was a strong player. Competitor, intelligent, likable (except by jealous Alex and Christmas). And she made a good team with Cody. Unfortunately they took a shot at Paul when he was untouchable. Wasn't too early. Earlier the better before Paul could spin his hypnosis. But they just didn't realize what CBS had handed Paul.

Would like to see her back here without Cody. Or on The AR with Cody.

  15. Geez, guys. Just now reading through this. I'd hate for some internet psychologists to analyze you all based on your posts.

And what's up with the condescension about Cody's military service - automatically making the jump to mental instability? You think all vets who won't play along with immature kids' cult games, have PTSD? That is minimizing all vets who return from deployment.

I think when all is done, some of you will be surprised with the real Cody. In between the Paul Show edits, I saw glimpses of it. No, he didn't tolerate immaturity. That was his downfall in the house and why he may be better suited for Survivor or The AR.

I think the guy is smart, loyal, and a top class competitor. I think he can't play the fake game though. Getting with Jessica was a good move. She could soften his edges. Unfortunately, when he showed his hand at taking out Paul, he was done. CBS did him wrong by stacking the Paul deck with that 3-week safety. Paul effectively turned the entire house against him and the show editors played their role as well.
