  1. Ian is grating on my nerves... he doesn't help with the chores and seems oblivious to the fact that common decency would be to be help. Asked or not. I have seen him do dishes a couple of times... but other than that... nothing, nada, zilch, zero... I'll tell you my kids would NEVER act like that...

OK, right when I say that he cleans the table... timing is everything...

He only cleaned the table because he didn't want the Jenga came getting dirty. And yeah ... I agree. He also grabbed his food tonight without waiting to see who wanted what and took double fries without even making sure there was enough for him to do so.

I know the Ian lovers will say poor thing - he's socially awkward. But this guy has lived with other guys in a house and my boy had better manners at 6. I really can't stand him.

  2. I like her less and less each day. And, it has nothing to do with her elaborate stories/lies... it's her narcissism that drives me nuts!!!

Ditto!!! I listened to her today take a simple conversation she had with Britney weeks ago and retell it as if it was a knock out drag down fight where she REALLY put Britney in her place. Dan was like "I'm surprised you guys could still be friends after that." Dani says "Oh that's just the way I am ... I get along with everybody."

    Gag!!

To listen to her talk, every girl in that house had something nasty to say about her yet she just remained sweet as pie. In reality, from what I saw on the feeds, the guys had far more nasty things to say about her behind her back and the girls tended to stick up for her quite a bit. This girl is twisted for sure.

  3. Dan/Danielle F2:

If Frank grows up in jury I think it will be 7-0 Dan

If Frank remains a bitter cry baby it will be Britney, Jenn, Ian, Joe for Dan and Frank, Ashley, Shane for Dani making it 4-3 Dan

    Dan/Ian F2:

If Frank grows up in jury I think it will be 7-0 Dan

If Frank remains a bitter cry baby it will be Britney, Jenn, Dani and Shane for Dan and Frank, Ashley, Joe for Ian making it 4-3 Dan (I really think Britney will say Dan played the best game and that with Danielle's help they can convince Shane of the same ... but only time will tell.)

  4. If Dan makes it to F2 against either of them I am really curious to see how Frank votes. Especially if he's F2 with Danielle. Frank has said repeatedly that Danielle has done nothing in this game AND he is a super fan AND he had his own self proclaimed "pipe dream" of making it to F2 with HIS coach. I don't see how he can NOT vote for Dan given all that. If he does vote for Danielle he proves himself to be the world's biggest baby and sore loser. I think Ian has made a move or two and since he is a newbie I think Frank could rationalize voting him to win over Dan (not that I agree but just saying a point could be made).

  5. I never saw him actually volunteer, he told Danielle to do what she has to do but it didn't look like he was all that happy about it. When he realized he was going to go up he figured he would trust that Danielle was sure he was safe which I think she was sure, Dan not only backstabbed Shane but also Danielle.

I agree he didn't "actually volunteer" but how could you see how he looked about it? From what I saw he said "Do what you gotta do" and then started making out with her. All I saw at the time was the back of Danielle's head. Not only that, but Shane has volunteered multiple times over the season to be the pawn. Britney was constantly telling him to quit it. (And I agree with your comment that he didn't listen to Britney as much as the other poster thought BUT HE SHOULD HAVE!) In 14 seasons of Big Brother I have never seen anyone volunteer to be a pawn as often as Shane did. It was really not smart game play. I do agree that Dan backstabbed them both however, I also think they both handed him the biggest knife they could find, tied their wrists together, turned around, and LET HIM. I really don't think either one of them (Shane or Danielle) played the game very well and I don't think either of them would have made it as far as they did without the help of their coaches.

As far as what Shane has done to or how he feels about Dani - who knows? He told Britney multiple times he wasn't really into her, she wasn't really his type, he liked Kara better, and he really wished Danielle wouldn't hang around him so much. When he did his exit interview with Julie he implied there was a possibility of a relationship outside the house. When doing his interview with Jeff he not only wondered if Danielle knew in advance what Dan was going to do, but also said there really wasn't a possibility of a relationship because they live in two different states - unless she wins the $ because then it would be easier to buy plane tickets.

Sorry, but Shane came off to me as someone who had no idea how to play the game even after playing all summer so he stuck to the game he knew which was playing girls. Just my opinion.

  6. I honestly don't think he's being fed information. Janelle and Britney, I believe, are the ones who coined the phrase about the Dan Mist. They talked about it often and I am sure before Britney left she made comments to Ian about being careful of the Dan mist. As far as last week's eviction, Ian is a huge fan and knows exactly how the show works. Additionally, they have all known the date of the last show, so it stands to reason that a fast forward had to occur in order to get the numbers right.

Obviously none of us are there and I can't know for sure, but I don't think the DR "feeds" the HG info. I think what they do is ask them questions that make them think and that sometimes, when they ask questions in the same vein it makes the HG paranoid. For example, they might be asking Ian things like "Are you afraid that if Dan wins he will take Danielle over you?" (let's assume Ian says no because he and Dan have a F2) "So you aren't concerned even though Dan had a deal with Shane and just voted him out?" or maybe "How do you think the reset affected Dan and Danielle's relationship?" Additionally, when the DR gets a sound clip they like or can use, they might have the HG repeat it several times. "Can you say that again a little more slowly? Can you say that again and look over this way? Can you say that again with a bit of a smile?" Things like that. It would be rather easy for a housguest to put the pieces together and guess what direction production is headed. Now that they are down to 3 people they have more time to ask them questions and get the bites they want for the show.

That's just my personal guess on how it works.

  7. Get out more? Admittedly this is the only BB forum I frequent, and I don't feel the need to dedicate any more time to BB than I already do. But in the BB Network poll (which from what I can tell is the major one) Dan is currently the #1 favorite, so I think the general statement "America dislikes Dan" is inaccurate.

Well there ya go. I had no idea there was a poll, but I did have a pretty good idea she was wrong. LOL

    Well said. :)

  8. You know when you think about it, in almost every situation in which Dan has supposedly stabbed someone in the back, it was like they all just place the knife in Dan's hand, place it in the middle of their back and dared Dan to shove it in. Dan, simply took advantage of opportunity.

    LOL!! Well said!!!

I'd also like to say, let's not forget the week Boogie went and Shane sat there and blamed the nominations 100% on Britney even though ( a ) his entire alliance wanted it and ( b ) he was the one who made the nominations. He deserved exactly what he got.

  9. He played the game and he played it well. It's like football players going into a game KNOWING they are going to get tackled but then saying "no fair" if they get hurt when they get tackled. It is possible for a completely legal tackle to injure a player and take him out of the game for life. I can't recall one incident where a player who did the tackling was fired or never hired in professional football again. Dan played within the rules and this group of people KNEW what they were up against and had MULTIPLE opportunities to take him out but chose not to. If he makes it to the end, he deserves to win because he far and away played the best game however, I think the jury is too full of bitter babies to acknowledge that, so I doubt he will.

As far as his job goes .... unless you are his boss I don't see how you can possibly know what any school, Catholic or otherwise, will do. Not everyone judges a person by how they play a game. Some people actually take the reputation a person has outside the house into consideration.

Just my opinion, of course, but I respectfully disagree with your post.

ITA with your post.......and as far as the Church goes that is between Dan and the Church, he may have to answer to them not any of us!!!

    CHOO CHOO

Thanks. I also wanted to add that I would hope that his reputation and skills as a teacher and a coach would count for more with potential employers and/or parents of his students than their opinion of how he played a game did. I know that, as a parent, when it comes to my children, the teaching skills of their teachers are far more important to me than my opinion of how well the teacher plays Monopoly. :)

As far as the Church goes ... not my place to judge. I've always been taught that Americans have the freedom to worship any way they choose and that I should respect that right. I don't necessarily agree with those religions that don't believe in medical attention for their sick children, for example, but I know that it is not my right or place to judge them for it and I am thankful that I have the right to choose differently.

    Off my soapbox now. :)

  10. Ian has watched this game since he was a child, and he actually threw a finals comp, he must really believe that Dan is taking him final 2, but it seems like most everything Dan has done has also protected his player from the start, and let's be honest how great would it be to get both Dan and Danielle to the end for a real life coach to not only get himself but the single player he had left after the 1st week? There is no way I would throw that comp regardless of what Dan had to say.

Me either!!! For a "genius" and especially a "Big Brother expert genius" that move could end up right up their with Marcelles not using the veto!! My guess is Dan pretty much knows he can't win the money at this point so he wants the "props" of being the only coach to get his player to the end. When you add in the fact that he was down to 1 player after week 1 while all 3 other teams still had 3 players, there is no doubt Dan would have the reputation of being THE best player to ever play this game! On top of that, when Danielle was HOH Boogie and Frank did all their wheeling and dealing with Dan - everyone knew from the beginning Danielle would do exactly what Dan wanted her to do. Ian has the potential to win the next two parts but if he doesn't AND if he REALLY threw that, then that move will go down as one of the dumbest moves EVER in a Big Brother game.

  11. Mist???LOL, he used his power as coach, his religion, his wife and his dead grandfather to further himself in a game to win money. Nothing "misty" about it. BB shows how far a person will go to win. In Dan's case, the only reason he was able to get further in this game was because of who he was going into the game, a Catholic, a coach, newly married, bible reader who supposedly won the first time by being loyal and the obvious help he got in the DR.

He was able to "mist" people by using every ounce of respect that anyone else in the game had for him, against them. Tonight he even used his own books and his & his wife's "love for Danielle", along with a promise of a possible new book about "how much she as a player taught him, the coach"...... :animated_rotfl: .........nothing "misty about it....just outright deceit and lies to win BB, which if done by someone you don't like would be perceived totally differently......SKILL? wow!

He better win the money because he'll never coach again (unless penn state is hiring)

And I doubt any Catholic school would let him teach there again (in fact, he is not on their roster-lie?) after he used the story about "how his wife goes to church every morning for adoration to pray for him to win"....."adoration" is sacred to Catholics, it's about showing your love and respect for God.....we don't go to ask for God to help us win BB or any other game :animated_shocking: ...........and, no, it's NOT holding HIM to a different standard......HE set that standard about himself and set out during this game to use his prior reputation to purposely to deceive....... it's really not that hard if you have no morals and will do anything to win with a lot of help from the DR.

Win or lose, other than some posters who believe and like Dan, (some who BTW also have condemned other players they don't like for doing much less degrading and disrespectful things) better beware in their real lives if they're so easily swayed by "mist". :angel_not:

  12. I agree that she will beat Dan in final 2. He has been so manipulative and stabbed so many people in the back, I don't think he can possibly make it to the end and without generating too much ill will.

Funny how we all see things so different ... even after Brit went home due to Dan's moves she had to say it was great game play. Those who truly love the game HAVE to give it to Dan. Even Boogie couldn't be mad at Ian when he realized what a great move he instigated. Ashley never liked Dani and Frank truly loves the game - when he gets done pouting I can't see him giving Danielle the money over Dan. I think a Dan/Danielle F2 really could result in 7-0 for Dan. (I'd give Shane the benefit of the doubt and say he'd vote for her, but he's so easily manipulated I think the others would talk him out of it.) It will be fun to see how this all plays out.

  13. I'd kind of like to see Dan and Danielle as Final 2. The irony of the fact that they didn't get rid of him when he was down to one player and they had the chance would be rich. Plus it would add bonus points, in my opinion, that he accomplished the original goal of the game and got his player to the end. If the jury votes on game play, I think Ian is the only one who would give Dan a run for his money.
