Cassandra added, "All right guys, we got it." As they made their way into the house, their cheerfulness seemed forced. Karen said, "Tell me he didn't do that on purpose."

I can't belive I'm in total agreement with you. It really bugged me how he talked trash about HG then would almost kiss their ass when he finally had them on the show. I know CBS required him to have some civility to HG when they are on the show but he could have that same civilty and objectivity when they are not on too. IMO he acted just like the HG's he "called out" on his show. He needs to realize he's a Host and not a cheerleader for his favorite team....

you're right, he's a hypocrite...not just that, he just talks entirely too much and goes off subject way too often.

He sucks as a verbal host. But then again I've only seen about 10 mins of his work. So I could have caught him on one of his flighty days.

if Marcellas is hosting it, I don't want to watch. He'll just be talking over everyone about stuff that has nothing to do with anything.

That was my first time watching Housecalls. I happened up on it by accident..I didn't realize it was on. But the show seems MAD annoying. Marcellas is always talking over people. The caller will be in the middle of asking a question and they'll say something that will remind Marcellas of some boring story and it'll just go off tangent.

I also noticed that sometimes they don't even answer the caller's questions. The caller will ask a question, the chick (the other co host) will laugh and begin to answer the question, Marcellas will talk over her and tell a quick joke, and they'll be cracking up laughing for a minute straight, then they'll just go to the next caller.

...or maybe I just caught it at a bad time.

The host is supposed to be as boring and neutral as possible, save the drama for the game. Plus we only have to see her once a week for a total of maybe 10 mins of airtime.

A dramatic, "lively" host would be so annoying.

could someone PLEASE tell me what season Gretchen was on? I've watched every season but for the life of me I can't figure out who she was, which season she was on, etc. Someone fill me in. Did she change her hair? Gain/lose weight? Because she doesn't look familiar to me.
