  1. @Stagehand - agreed! I recently finished watching S2 for the first time. I'm now halfway through S3, also for the first time. The first season I watched as it happened was S5 and after that S7, s12, s15... and maybe a couple others.

Anyway, I am amazed at how many strong women there are in season 3. I agree that casting is one big reason for the changes for the worse in this game. Too many people in their early 20s. Too little age diversity. Too many celebrity-wanna-bes. Etc. And this season in particular, the BotB twist made the game much more boring.

Unrelated - regarding everyone's complaints about how boring the last week of the season is on the feeds - OMG YES. However.... i actually find Cody pretty funny, and sometimes the banter among the 3 of them is amusing to me too. I think about this time last year watching/listening to Andy, Spencer, and GM and am thanking god I'm not watching them now. They were, as Zach might say, THE WORST!

  2. This thread - and the comments about Derrick being the only sort of intelligent person in a season of not-so-smart people - AND full of people who just want to follow what everyone else is doing - reminds me of how much I recently enjoyed watching Season 2 for the first time.

Now I'm almost halfway through Season 3. I am SO impressed with the women in Season 3 and am excited to see 2 women get to the final 2! Season 2 also had some smart and strong women.

I notice too that at least in S2, the average age of HGs was maybe 10 years older than it's been lately. I think that has something to do with the differences in "quality" of HGs. Not everything to do with it, but something.....

And PLEASE DERRICK, do not let Vic get $50k.

  3. Yes, thank you all!

I actually tried to contribute once to live feed updates - I'm a super fast typer. But it was way more difficult than I thought it would be. I summarized like 2 minutes of what was happening on the feeds and decided I'm not cut out for it. Maybe I'll try again next year!

So thanks a bunch - I've been reading Morty's daily updates for years. This is the first year I've read/posted on the forum though. And I'm embarrassed to admit, this is the first year I've donated money. But I finally did it and will continue to next year.

    Thanks everybody!!

  4. I remember hearing the gasp too, but didn't put 2 and 2 together and think he changed his answer because he heard it. It's possible though.

Derrick mentioned - I think the last time he won HOH - that he thought he heard the audience cheer when he won and I remember that they did cheer. So my guess is that they do sometimes hear the audience noise during HOH comps performed during the live show.

  5. Yesterday I voted once for Donny, once for Hayden, and once for Nicole. I liked all of them. I thought Hayden and Nicole played good games but Hayden was totally blindsided on the night of the first double eviction. If that hadn't happened, I think he would have maybe gone farther (except that the Detonators were in such control and with the 2 HOH twist it was even easier for them to remain in control all season).

I really want Donny to win, though, I think. I don't have the motivation to vote 20 times a day for anybody though.

So I guess most people think Frankie will win? This bums me out. :-(

  6. So do any of you think Frankie threw the HOH comp last night? I can see why he would - all last week he was complaining about how he couldn't play in the next (very important HOH). Well now he can.

On the other hand, he knows Caleb thought about back-dooring him last time he was HOH, so he knew last's night's rewind HOH comp was important for him to win.

I'm not sure what I think. I didn't see the end of the competition, but from what I did see, he seemed to be trying to win.

  7. I wasn't a Christine fan and don't particular care about her private life. What perturbs me about this situation is that Christine and Cody both defined their relationship on multiple occasions. Yet, the people watching the show has decided that they will define the relationship totally opposite of what Christine and Cody defined it as. I never saw Christine and Cody kiss, feel or rub each others privates or say things that would give me the impression that they were in love. I did not see them act differently when they were around people than they did when they were alone. Sure, they rubbed each others arms and stroked each others hair, but if they believe they were acting innocently, why does the public feel the need that they need to be booed and treated like crap. If Christine husband has a problem with what Christine did in the house, let him handle the situation. I really can't understand the people that sit around wishing bad things on other people.

Hopefully BB will put a stop to the booing. There will be people in the future that wont be as thick skinned as Christine and they will be booed for any and everything, from game play to relationships. That will be bad for the HG and for the game. I don't want people to start worrying about playing the game and how well they will be treated when they leave the house. That will make for boring games because people will not vote out people they perceive as a public favorite. I want people who as ruthless when they need to be. I want one or two Dan's in every season.

    Here here! Well said, joystiick!

Ya I so agree. I don't get why people think that the houseguests have to pay some sort of retribution for such things as touching hands and hair and innocent flirting.  Yes the touching is creepy but nothing happened between the two. I was so disappointed in "nice" Donny for saying that Christine will need a lawyer. That was just out of place for him to say it and for CBS to put it on the show. Think of past seasons where people were having sex for the cameras and CBS ignored it. This season they chose to highlight the shaming of Christine.

    wrong

I totally agree with this too.

  8. Caleb just asked the other guys to get something with the phrase "Heard dat" on it, "in remembrance of" him when the season's over, because he says "Heard dat" all the time.

Cody laughed at the "in remembrance of" because well, that's usually what you say about dead people.

And both Cody and Frankie told Caleb they hadn't heard him say "Heard dat" all season.

    Caleb got really pissed.

I'm not rooting for him at all, but he is kinda funny.... he's a country bumpkin.... with $1,000 "crocodile" boots...

  9. Back in the ole' Big Brother days of years past I used to be a much more judgmental and mean poster. I think I used to take out my anger in real life on the houseguests.

I could bash with the best of them.

It is just not in me anymore to really hate on anyone ... These are people shut up in a house for a social experience. I love watching how people act and how they play the game.

Hating and judging Christine for flirting behavior is just not something that gets me in that "hating" place I would find myself feeling in past seasons.

I wish them all the best in the outside world.

    :kisss:

    carry on......

I agree with you. It's hard to judge these people since they're in a situation we've never been in and I imagine it's gotta be pretty challenging.

I think Christine knows she went too far with Cody and I felt like she backed off him a little bit in the last couple weeks - hanging out a bit more with others. She didn't totally quit with all the touching and flirting though. This is all speculation obviously, but I feel like she knew she went over the line and felt badly about it and that she loves her husband/ Of course, I could be wrong.

I also don't think she was that surprised the boys voted her out. I think she was expecting it, though maybe not if up against Vic.

Personally, I am more offended with some of the hate Frankie's been spewing the past few weeks about Nicole. I read that even Frankie's sister has distanced herself a bit from him with her tweets and stuff in the last couple weeks.

Also, I am truly perplexed that Christine was booed like that and got more boos than Aaryn and other racists last year. I am way, way more offended and disgusted by racism than by a married gal touching and flirting with a guy other than her husband.
