I could not decide on Joe, but I put his vote for Dan just because it shows Dan likely will need more votes even with Joe.

If it's Dan/Ian for final 2, Dani will not have time to influence anyone's vote in the jury because in the past few years the last jury member voted out on finale night isn't revealed to the other jurors until the jurors arrive at the live show. If that's the case, i think Ian may have a chance to win with Shane, Ashley, Frank, and maybe Joe or Britney's vote. Dani and Jenn I think would definitely vote for Dan. Joe and Britney are the wildcards. But if EVERYONE voted based on who played the best game and not make it personal, I think Dan could get a sweep 7-0. JMHO.

Didn't Ian win a lot more comps than Dan? And, he got a bunch of people eliminated. So what is the criteria that you are using to decide who played a better game? That he got himself off the block a couple of times? It would be interesting to do a tally, but I don't remember all of the stats.

I really hope Dan realizes the plan to get Ian to throw the last comp. isn't going to work so, he can tell Danielle to stop with this bull crap.

I've not been a big fan of Ian's (but, I think Dan and Ian are the two i've most wanted to see win this season.) and I didn't feel bad for Janelle, Boogie, Frank or Shane when they were blind-sided.

I also, haven't felt Ian needed to be nurtured or coddled at any point in this game until tonight. When it comes to yelling and screaming at someone with gaming threats, it goes too far, imo. She could have just as easily gave him all that information about tainting the jury and he better not take Dan, etc. etc. without the bullying him. Imo

My attitude previously with Ian is he knew what he was getting into and he shouldn't have been on the show if he couldn't hanle it but, for some reason it just seems unneccessarily cruel to put him through this... and I guess as I think about it the difference is that this plan isn't going to work and so there's no point to it all.

I agree. What is it they say about bullies, they are insecure. That fits Dani. I feel bad for her. I do not approve of the way she has acted, but it was going to catch up with her eventually and when it did it was going to be painful.

Looks like it will get worse before it gets better, since likely Shane will not be as interested in her as she is in him.

Still, she is so young and she just got to be on BB until the finale. Good for her. A lot of people would like that opportunity. I hope she at least tries to make the most of her last few days of great publicity!

GB, Dani she had $50K and she gave it to Dan when she used the veto on him, she doesn't even realize it yet.

Dan and Dani planned the "dramatics" before the comp. in case Ian won. They want ian to throw it to Dan. (Which he's not going to do but, they're trying.)

Their strategy is that Ian doesn't want to evict Danielle so, if he (Ian) can get Dan to do it for him... then Ian will get Danielle's and Shane's vote in jury. As foolish as a lot of the players have been under Dan's mist... I don't think he can pull this one off. He's going to have to beat Ian in the HoH - Part 3 comp. if he wants to take Danielle with him. imo

No problem! Also, if you haven't seen season 6 or 7, Janelle was just a shadow of her former self this season. Back then she was a beautiful comp beast who was also great tv outside of comps due to her fearless and confrontational personality and people loved her for her passionate loyalty to her alliance. This season she didn't win much, seemed to do all her trash talking behind people's backs, played a floater game and just didn't seem as vibrant as she used to be. I would also say Dan isn't so much popular because people can relate to him but because he is a mastermind of the game and plays it completely emotionless like chess and seems to be an expert of psychology and how to manipulate people.

I'm flattered you want my opinion. Dan was very popular after his first season yes, because he was the only player to ever win by unanimous jury vote, which already placed him at or near the level of the agreed upon best player, Dr. Will. He made some great moves that season and actually played a much more loyal, clean game. This season, it seems he decided to use that reputation to his advantage and play a very different game involving a lot of shifting loyalty and playing all sides while making everyone believe he would be loyal to them to the end and that he was an easy person to beat in the end due to being a previous winner. Even if you hate him, you just can't deny his incredible skill at playing the social game and his power of persuasion. Getting to the end twice is an amazing feat in this game and doing it with very different strategies shows some outstanding versatility. I think he will be a polarizing player after this season. Those that view BB as just a game and who are willing to forgive any gameplay short of cheating will idolize Dan as the best player ever for a long time to come. Those that believe the game should be played ethically and dislike players that are willing to win at all costs will probably view Dan as a dirty player who sold his soul to the devil to win the game. So to answer your question, I think he will definitely be a more popular player after this season due to his proven skills but also less well liked by a lot of people. He started the season as a good guy and may very well end up being considered a villain.

Thanks! I appreciate your thorough response. I am trying to observe the season as openly as possible. Sometimes I like Dan more than others, but all personal feelings aside I am just trying to grasp why some players are more popular than others. From what I know about past players on this season (i.e. the coaches) it seems like Janelle is the most popular by twice as much as Britney and Dan who are about the same, followed by Boogie. I get Britney because she is entertaining (sarcastic, cute, etc...). Boogie is the nice bad guy (or something like that). Janelle, I have not seen that much of, but I think it could be that women want to be like her, and men want to be with her? Dan, I am thinking is so popular because people can relate to him???

I can't say I'm shocked by his reaction... Usually people that are "playing" others (ie. using Dani, just to further himself in the game, even though he has nooo interest in her) are quick to detest the same thing being done to them.

Great observation! And, not to defend his using Dani, that would be wrong in the real world! But, in the game he didn't have a lot of choice. She really threw herself at him, and he did try awfully hard up to the very end to not lead her on. If he would have been more honest about his feelings (or lack of) for her that would have been more moral, but been bad for his game.

I think the main reason to like him is that he knows how to play THIS game. He is ALWAYS thinking about what he needs to do to further himself. You can argue over his tatics to do this, but you can't argue that they are effective and they work.

Yeah he's going to be more bitter than Frank. He really is a terrible player though! How many times did he volunteer to go on the block? You NEVER do that! How many times did he passionately tell people he was with them for no reason before screwing them and building unnecessary resentment? How many times was he shown that Dan can't be trusted without losing trust? This guy belongs on the Bachelor not BB.

Hi GreatSaltLake! I know you are a Dan fan. This is my first time watching BB and I started half way into the season. I'd really like to hear your insight regarding why Dan is so popular. Wonder what happened in the HOH room last night. Did Shane finally resort to kissing her? Is that why he is not on the block? Were people underestimating Shane?

I think Dani wants the Final 3 to be her, Shane and Dan. And, I think she trusts Shane more to keep Dan than Dan to keep Shane. Especially since she knows Dan was going to vote Shane out. And, it does not make sense to keep Ian over Shane.

I think Shane thinks that he can't beat Ian. I think he thinks he can beat Dan or Dani. So, I think Shane will vote out Ian if he wins POV.

My son happened to see him rocking and swinging one night and said " since when did they start Letting mentally challenged people on big brother, wouldn't it be way to hard on them mentally and emotionally ?" When I told him that he was actually a 21 year old man in college, "he said there is no way, he is 21 or in college and if you believe that reality tv has you really fooled". I had to tell him I've seen him drink beer and actually get drunk. He still has a hard time believing it. Lol

I think Shane has been holding back. Someone could have told him to make it to the Final Five and then go all out on the Competitions. Until then just stay under everyone's radar.

It would explain why he has not been working out a lot lately. He is saving it for the comps!

Also, could further explain why he is not kissing Dani, would be totally scummy if he was using her to get to Final Five and for other things!
