I agree, no way Shelly can win the game now. I feel her tears were genuine and I don't think she has been playing all along to screw Jeff or Jordan. I think it hurt her to flip but she chose herself over them. Like the HGs always say, the relationships they develop after living months together are genuine...you begin to care about people. I think Shelly will regret her choice, especially if it doesn't catapult her to F2 and even if she does make it there, she probably won't have enough votes for the $500K. I have a friend that's been a contestant on the show and she ALWAYS says "no one INTENDS to go in the house and make people or America hate you...but sometimes it happens". Since she has done it and I haven't, I have no choice to take her word for it

It sure sounds like you are saying you differentiate the appropriateness of abuse of people by separating them into two groups, those on tv and those who are not on tv.

As I posted earlier, if one enjoys watching people dismantle each other, then my post won't make sense and caring for people would be a great reason for entering the psych ward.

Never said I enjoy watching people DISMANTLE each other, but I am not in a rage over how ANYONE on that show has been treated. IT IS A GAME SHOW! They are collecting $750 dollars weekly (thanks for catching my typo KYWILDCAT ) for all the crap they put up with from each other and NO ONE TWISTED THEIR ARMS TO BE THERE. Hard to take pity them.

IMHO, your post suggests a lack familiarity with one or more of the Chicago voices[meter, tone, volume.] This would explain reading a Chicago accent and attitude as an attempt to bully.

It would be a mistake to describe Jeff as a bully; a frustrated guy, yes, a bully, NO. As the game progressed, his frustrations did grow, but this growth came from his desire for the game to be played by the HG in a manner free of anger and free of the behaviors that generate anger. Of course, if one's cup of tea is watching as people destroy each other, then I can see why Jeff would be a bother.

He's a plain talker to be sure. He says exactly what he means... no prettying up the message. Just straight and on the topic. When Kahlia turned on him by putting him up, he told her exactly what the effect of her actions would be, no wishy-washy circling the point, just the straight truth of it. If either a HG or a viewer is so thinned skinned as to take that as bullying then it's on them, not him.

Well I am screwed then, Monk seeing as how my father is a native Chicagoan and I live in Illinois and have for the last 11 years. I must be reading everyone wrong I used the term "bully" as some of the HGs used it. I hated the fact that they were intimidated by a player that never finishes well in these shows and that they felt the need to be protected by him. I do feel that his attitude is a little abrasive...but nothing they should have been afraid of.

I don't get people not understanding why Jeff evicted Daniele. After she tried to get him backdoored on week three, no amount of "proving her loyalty" was going to convince him she wouldn't try it again. And she would have. She just wanted Brendon gone first and was trying to buy some time with Jeff in order to take care of one target at a time. She failed. Period.

LOL Ohhh but I do understand it! It is part of the game, which is why I never threatened his family, his future kids or said I would hold a grudge because he evicted a player that I like! Just like you said, Spike, Dani WOULD HAVE...he got her first. Shelly helped get Jeff out, it happens...part of the game.

I was upset that Jeff totally lied to Daniele and saying she was safe after she kept him safe a few weeks, but it isn't my place to forgive or not forgive him. It's a TV show...if I ever get THAT involved, I will be contacting the nearest psych ward.

I disagree with Jeff not being the best game player. Till that eviction, Jeff deserved to win more than anyone else in the house. I'm not a fan of his, but I have to admit he deserved it this most.

Because he stepped up and won a few comps once Dani put doubt in his head that he was going to cruise all summer? Jeff/Jordan figured they were golden with power duos like Brenchel and the Donatos on their side. Jeff's abrasive attitude and bullying of other HG's don't make him likeable unless he's bullying people you dislike. I've never disliked him or Jordan until this season...life for them is different now, they are celebs. I have more respect for Brenchel, at least the hunger to win and need for the money was still there...

I don't even know what to say to this post ! I disagree with you in many ways, but also agree with you in certain areas!?! I find it amazing how we as fans can have so much in common, but also nothing in common at the same time!

I'm actually a JJ fan that also was not a fan of Jun or Mike Boogie winning, but did not have a problem with Maggie, and not a big fan of Shelly...though I get why she flipped.

I agree that JJ,D,Brenchel were all main targets and had to work to save their butts. But I also feel our dear Jordan does not step up to play until she's forced to when Jeff is gone, and she is content on "coasting" until she has to do something. Her intuition is normally right, but her downfall is depending too much on Jeff's "intelligence" and giving in to paranoia and playing emotionally.

I remember how excited I was when she starting figuring things out at the end of her season and actually started making moves. I don't think it is because she lays low, I think she's insecure and has been told how simple she is so many times that she doesn't trust her own gut.

As much as I like her as a person, she's NO angel. She would not have liked backdooring Shelly, but she showed that she would have supported it. I keep hearing a lot of "but Jordan gave Shelly her phone call," if you play games that way, you should probably not play BB, Poker, Spades or any game for that matter. I love my husband dearly, he could give me the world in the palm of my hand today, doesn't mean I would let him win when we play pool later. I wouldn't want him to do the same for me and I'm not a super competive person, I just understand that you play a game with your brain based on the rules provided, not with your heart.

I hate to admit it, but if JJ backdoored Shelly, the forums would have been minus thousands of fanatical hate posts today! Shows most fans watch the game with our hearts(self included at times) instead of our minds, I guess it makes us all human. Sad and emotional, crazy and suportive, irrational and sane... humans! I'm done for the day!

1. an alliance swapper based on power.

2. a person who "floats" through the game by not making any moves or decisions of their own

Maybe we need another word for #2. All season BR & JJ have been saying the other side were floaters "because they don't do anything or win anything"...so people are using their own words. Love Jordan, but she is an ultimate floater based on her OWN definiton of the word.

Shelly's beautiful and intelligent little girl can probably decipher the difference between playing a game and real life better than some of these fans...I've seen all types of death threats on Shelly's FB page and the CBS one. Really? All over Jeff and Jordan, two people in a "tv romance" that don't even know you exist? I can't believe how upset people are getting over a very SMART game move. She rolled over on them before they rolled over on her...period.

Shelly had abosulutely zero chance of coming in first or second if she stayed with J/J. She would have been a fool not to take this chance to improve her chances of winning. At least now she does have a chance. "Some" chance is better than "no" chance so, she would have been stupid not to "flip".

I can't believe that people feel that houseguest should come into the house and spend the whole summer trying to make sure someone else won half a million dollars. Everyone there is there to win the money and they should do what ever it takes to try and win. In the end, BB is just like Survivor. Your goal is to "Outwit" *Outplay" "Outlast" the other players.

As far as Jeff blowing up on her b4 the show...another dumb move by a guy who brought in the exact same strategy of "bullying and intimidation" from his previous season to this one. Once Shelly saw that she did not have the votes to keep Dani, she would have voted with the house. But, by Dumbo calling her out, he forced her to be on the other side. If he would not have done that, when he ended up on the block, Shelly may have voted for R since she spent the last two weeks hating R. But, Big Jeff gave her a reason to vote him out because he started drinking his own koolaid...
