Dancing With The Stars ~ U.S. Season 20 Episode 3

Live from Hollywood, It's Latin night on Dancing With The Stars. Professional dancers open the show dancing in the ballroom. 

 

Tom welcomes everyone to Dancing With The Stars, and then so does Erin. The remaining 11 couples are introduced into the ballroom.

 

Tom says there is a serious competition going on. We see highlights and practice sessions for Rumer and Val. They are dancing the Salsa to Turn The Beat Around by Gloria Estefan. The audience cheers for them as they are dancing, and explodes for them when they are finished. Tom says that was so good, it was wonderful, and it was a great start. Len says, one thing that was missing from their dancing was the exuberance, and they showed it tonight. He says, it was the best dance so far this season. Julianne says, she wants to see her let loose a little more. The audience boos. Bruno says, Monday Night Fever starts right here. He says, she is disco fabulous, and has the body for it. He asks if they did a cannon ball step? Val says, he switches it up. Carrie Ann says, she thought it was the right style, but when they hit the Salsa it was great. She tells Rumer her body is great, and she knows how to use it.

 

They go up to the sky box for their scores. Erin says, Len says, this might be the best dance of the season. She says, who knew this dance could be this dangerous, and they show the video of Val lifting Rumer up, and busting his lip. She asks Val what he thought when they nailed it tonight? He says, he loves her spirit, she's awesome, and it was great. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Len - 9, Julianne - 8, and Bruno - 8, for a total of 33. Erin tells everyone to get their votes in if you want to see them stay.

 

Tom welcomes us back to Latin Night in the ballroom. We see highlights and practice sessions for Charlotte and Keo. They are dancing the Rumba to Empire by Shakira. The audience applauds and cheers for them while they are dancing, and they get louder when they are finished.

 

Julianne has a pouty face, and she says, she's so sad. She tells Charlotte to build up her feet during practice. Bruno says, she's never going to win the Noble Prize for Quantum Physics, but she is easy on the eyes. Tom says, neither will he. Bruno tells her she needs to sustain her concentration. He says, it's within her, and she needs to do it. Carrie Ann says, everyone is being hard on her because they see her potential. She tells her she loved how she dragged her feet tonight. Tom asks Len about the dangers of texting and rehearsing. Len says, you get out of it what you put into it. He says, her feet, well, he doesn't want to even talk about it anymore.

 

They go up to the sky box for their scores. Erin says, they got some tough criticism, but it's a learning experience. She asks Charlotte what she learned this week. Charlotte says, to focus more. Erin tells her to put the phone down, and get to it. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 6, Len - 5, Julianne - 5, and Bruno - 6, for a total of 22. Keo says, they need to go back and work more. Erin tells everyone to get their votes in. Tom says, Latin night is just beginning to sizzle. More to come after the break, live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to Latin Night, and is walking around in the area where the dancers are warming up. We see highlights and practice sessions for Michael and Peta. They are dancing the Salsa to Celebrate by Pitbull. The audience cheers while they are dancing, and gets even louder when they are finished.

 

Tom says, no dancers were actually harmed in the making of that choreography. Bruno says, Michael was so careful tonight, and he got his timing really really wrong. He says, he lost freedom on the hips, and it has to flow from the footing. He says, it was great effort. Carrie Ann says, Salsa is supposed to be funny, and let loose. She says, she didn't feel safe watching it, and she felt a little disconnect. She told them to work on it not being so choppy. Len says, tonight wasn't so good, but to come back next week, focus and be strong. Julianne says, the footwork for the hip action needs to be better, and just to work on that for next week. Tom says, next week the stars will be dancing to commemorate the best year of their lives. In two weeks, it will be the half-way point in the competition, and it will be Disney Night.

 

They go to the sky box for their scores. Erin asks them what was going through their mind during the comments. Michael says, he didn't want to hurt Peta tonight, and that's what he was worried about. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 6, Len - 6, Julianne - 6, and Bruno - 6, for a total of 24. Peta says, she wishes it was higher scores. She says, they will work on it for next week. Erin tells everyone to get their votes in to help them. Later another star will be eliminated, live.

 

We come back to the ballroom with the professional dancers on the dance floor. Tom says, so far, Rumer and Val are in the lead with 33 points on the leader board. We see highlights and practice sessions for Riker and Allison. They are dancing the Salsa to Limbo by Daddy Yankee. The audience cheers for them while they are dancing, and they go crazy when they are finished.

 

Tom says, there is jewelry flying everywhere, and it couldn't even keep up with them. Carrie Ann says, she sees for the first time, a male contender for the title. She says, he is sexy sexy. She says, she wants to see more of the man dominating the woman. She says, it's hot, hot, hot, and well done. Tom says, she has the most cleavage today, in all the years he's worked with her. Len says, he's not the best dancer this year, but he could be, because he has flair. He says, that's something you can't teach. He tells him to work more on his technique, and he will be a force to reckon with. Julianne says, that was a Salsa. She says, everything about that was energetic, and she couldn't get out of her chair. She wants them to be a little more playful. Bruno says, that was flat out Salsa, full throttle. Tom cuts him off, and tells him they are going to commercial. He says, there's more to come after the break, live.

 

We come back to the ballroom with Erin in the sky box with Riker and Allison. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 9, Len - 7, Julianne - 9, and Bruno - 9, for a total of 34. Erin says, that's the highest score of the night. Allison reminds everyone at home to vote for their favorites tonight.

 

We see highlights and practice sessions for Suzanne and Tony. They are dancing the Samba to Copacabana (At The Copa) by Barry Manilow. The audience cheers for them while they are dancing, and they erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom tells the audience to give it up for the band in the ballroom. Len says, it was a sexy summer at the Copacabana. He says, it was juicy, sexy and fun. Julianne says, there was a little mistake in the middle where she lost her footing, but it was fun. Bruno says, he's going to go on the fruit diet tomorrow seeing her fruit on her head. He says, it was a little cloudy, but it was good. Carrie Ann says, she would like to see a little more depth. She says, she wants her to be challenged and go a little deeper, because she knows she can do it. Suzanne says, there was a banana going to Tony's crotch, when he slid her through his legs. Tom tells her to stop at Kraft services and return her head gear.

 

They go to the sky box for their scores. Erin says, Carrie Ann says they need more depth in the routine, and asks what that means? Tony says, he doesn't know what Carrie Ann means, but they gave it their all. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 6, Len - 6, Julianne - 6, and Bruno - 7, for a total of 25. Erin says, she's going to go and let them talk to Carrie Ann, and get that cleared up. Erin says, they are on their side. Tony says, vote, vote, vote. Tom says, there is more heated Latin Night competition coming up, live.

 

Bruno is holding feathers when we go back to the ballroom. We see highlights and practice sessions for Chris and Witney. They are dancing the Argentine Tango to Dangerous by David Guetta featuring Sam Martin. The audience applauds and cheers for them while they are dancing, and they really erupt for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, that was really nice, and the audience loved it. Julianne says, you are the comeback kid. She says, when something like last week happens, and it's for a reason, this happens, and it was so on point. She says, she hopes that people are voting. Bruno says, so much more connected, and he could see the sparks flying with them. He says, it was much better, and he needs to learn to turn. He needs to be smooth on his turns. Carrie Ann says, this show is all about pushing values, and she's happy he let go of the farmer Chris vibe, and he carried himself well. She said he was powerful and magnificent. Len says, he came back and gave it all this week, and that's the best dance they've done.

 

They go up to the sky box for their scores. Erin asks Chris what worked this week? He says, he gave it more, and tried harder. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 7, Julianne - 7, and Bruno -7, for a total of 28. Erin says, those are good scores, but there will be an elimination this week. Witney says, they will be disappointed if it's them, because Chris has a lot of potential that he hasn't been able to show yet. Erin tells everyone to get their votes in.

 

Tom welcomes us back to Latin Night in the ballroom. We see highlights and practice sessions for Robert and Kym. They are dancing the Rumba to How Long Will I Love You by Ellie Goulding. The audience cheers for them while they are dancing, and they go crazy when they are done. Burno says, that's how you set the mood. He says, it's a very difficult dance, and he needs to work on his airplane hands. Carrie Ann says, she is praying to the porcelain god this week. She says, they need to lengthen their movements, and extend out. Len says, he got through the Rumba early on. He says, that can be the dance that absolutely kills the guys. He tells him to use better hip action, and more fluidity throughout. Robert starts to move his hips. Julianne says, she disagrees with everyone, and she thinks that was one of his best performances. She says, it was so raw and vulnerable. She loved how he was leading her.

 

They go to the sky box for their scores. Erin repeats some of the comments to them. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 7, Julianne - 8, and Bruno - 7, for a total of 29. Erin says, that's his first 8. Robert says, yes it's great. They want everyone at home to vote. Erin says, we want this partnership to stay together, right Tom. He jokingly says, he doesn't care really, and then he laughs. More to come after the break, live.

 

We come back to the ballroom, and see highlights and practice sessions for Patti and Artem. They are dancing the Cha Cha to Oye 2014 by Santana featuring Pitbull. They audience cheers for them while they are dancing, and even more when they are finished.

 

Carrie Ann says, whenever she watches her, she feels she got the golden ticket to get into the best concert ever. She says, she set the bar so high last week, but it was still a great performance. Len says, there is charm about her, and it was fun. He tells Artem to work a little more content. Julianne says, it was great, but she agrees that there needs to be more content now. Bruno says, it was great, but there does need to be a little more cha cha cha.

 

They go to the sky box for their scores. Erin tells Patti that all of the men took their shirts off for her up in the sky box, because it's Latin Night. She shows her shuffle. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 6, Len - 5, Julianne - 5, and Bruno - 6, for a total of 22. Erin tells everyone to vote. Patti says, she sees the beautiful men. More to come after the break, live.

 

We come back to the ballroom and see highlights and practice sessions for Willow and Mark. They are dancing the Paso Doble to Hanuman by Rodrigo Y Gabriela. The audience goes crazy for them when they are finished.

Tom tells them it was very nice. Len says, there was fire and ice. He says, that was the first Paso of the season, and that will be hard to beat. Julianne says, slow and steady wins the race, and keep doing what you are doing. Bruno says, my little Mocking Jay is getting the taste of the competition. He says, she is learning through her body, like she would with words. Carrie Ann says, she doesn't care how old she is, she dances like she is a seasoned performer. She says, she needs to work on her core a little more, but did a great job.

 

They go to the sky box for their scores. Erin says, she totally agrees with Carrie Ann, and she doesn't care about her age. Willow says how happy she is. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Len - 8, Julianne - 8, and Bruno - 8, for a total of 32. Erin reminds everyone that the new phone numbers start with 855. More to come after the break, live.

 

When we come back to the ballroom, we see highlights and practice sessions for Noah and Sharna. They are dancing the Argentine Tango to Rather Be by Clean Bandit featuring Jess Glynne. The audience cheers and applauds them while they are dancing, and really erupts for them when they are finished.

 

Tom says, I think they liked it. Julianne says, that is the best dance he has done. She says, there is nothing simple about that. She says, the choreography is so strong, and incredible. Bruno says, that was miraculous. He says, the interpretation of the dance was spot on. He says, they played like two instruments, and the lifts were out of this world. Carrie Ann says, it was all amazing, but she is being a little picky tonight. She says, there was only one time when they were out of sync. The audience boos. Len says, they are his heroes. He says, her imaginative choreography is wonderful. Tom says, there is only one dance left, and then one of the couples has to go home.

 

They go to the sky box for their scores. Erin says, the choreography gets better and better each week. She asks how they make an adjustment next week. He says, he will take the criticism, and make it even better next week. Sharna says, they need constructive criticism. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 7, Julianne - 8, and Bruno - 8, for a total of 30. Erin says, everyone gets 11 votes tonight, and encourages everyone to get their votes in.

 

We see highlights and practice sessions for Nastia and Derek. We will see their Samba after the break.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the ballroom. He says, the elimination is coming up, but first we are going to see the last dance of the night, by last weeks leaders. Nastia and Derek are dancing the Samba to Chillando Goma by Fulanito. The audience claps and cheers for them while they are dancing, and they erupt when they are finished.

 

Tom says, very nice, and we are going against a ticking clock. Bruno says, it was invigorating, and almost inebriating. He tells them to finish it, and bring it back in. He says, it was great. Carrie Ann says, to overextend all they want. She says, she loves it. Len says, one thing for sure, they aren't going home tonight. Julianne says, they kind of went back to week one with their arms, but it was good. Tom asks, if they jet lag is getting to them, and Derek says, no, they are good.

 

Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 9, Len - 8, Julianne - 9, and Bruno - 9, for a total of 35. Tom says, you’re safe tonight. Chris and Witney, Noah and Sharna, and Charlotte and Keo are all called down to the walkway. The remaining couples on the stairs are all safe. These three couples are all in jeopardy. Tom says, the next couple who is safe is, Noah and Sharna. On this third week of competition, the couple leaving right now is Charlotte and Keo.

 

Erin calls them down, and says, they need to hurry up with the time. Erin asks what Keo has meant to Charlotte, while on the show. She says, she wanted to make him happy, and it's meant so much. Keo says, it's been amazing, and he's happy he got to dance with her. Charlotte says, it's been amazing, and she's learned so much. Tom shows the phone numbers on the screen to call and vote for the couples. Finishing at the top of the leader board are Riker and Allison and Nastia and Derek. Finishing at the bottom are Patti and Artem. Erin tells everyone to get out there to vote. Tom says, Charlotte and Keo will be flying back to New York. They will be on Good Morning America, and Kelly and Michael tomorrow. An all new Castle is up next, goodnight.
