Dancing With The Stars ~ U.S. Season 19 Episode 11

Tonight's Dancing With The Stars is America's Choice, and it opens with scenes telling us that America chooses the songs, dances and more. Tom and Erin both start the show with all of the couples on stage. Tom says the phone lines are open, and all of the contestants need America's votes tonight. The first couple that has made it to the semi-finals is Tommy and Peta. Erin asks if we can get Peta some oxygen, and other dancers are hugging the couple.

 

Alfonso and Witney are starting the night off tonight, and we see their highlights and practice sessions for the week. They are dancing the Foxtrot tonight to Ain't That A Kick In The Head by Robbie Williams. The audience loves them, and is on their feet with applause. Len says, that's the way to kick off the quarter finals. He says, their footwork was a little off, but it was a great way to start the night. Julianne gives them a ton of compliments, and she loves the dance. Bruno says, they threw in some Justin Timberlake touches, and he was thrilled. Carrie Ann says, she thought it was excellent, but thinks that there may be a little more pizzazz that they could have thrown in. She says, they seemed to be at ease, and a little hesitant. Len says, it was full of razzamatazz. They are sent up to Erin for their scores. Alfonso says, he felt comfortable in hold, and it was a great night for him. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 9, Len - 9, Julianne - 9, Bruno - 10. Total 37. Erin says, they are going to have a trio round coming up, and still need votes called in for them. Tom says, who will be leaving, now that the lowest scoring couple is safe? There's more to come after the break.

 

We come back to tonight's America's Choice episode of Dancing With The Stars, and Val was looking at his cell phone. Tom welcomes everyone back, and tells us that it was revealed that Tommy and Peta are safe. We see their highlights and practice sessions for the week, as they are up next to dance. Tommy's knee problem last week was from a cyst that was behind his knee, and it broke. They are dancing the Viennese Waltz to Trouble by Elvis Presley. The crowd cheers for them, and is on their feet for them as well. Tommy is laughing as they finish their dance. Carrie Ann is laughing hysterically. Julianne says she told Tommy that he was going to be around for a long time, and America loves him. She tells him, that was the proper Viennese Waltz, and he did it perfectly. She says, he puts a smile on her face each week, and she loves him. Bruno tells him he was spinning around like a fair ground carousel, and he took them with him. He says, it was wonderful. Carrie Ann says, that he makes everyone believe in him, and he is the true hero. Len says, he is 76 years old, and got through to the semi-finals. Len says, from one old geezer to another old geezer, he is his hero. They are sent upstairs to Erin for their scores. Erin says, Tommy said he couldn't hear Tom when he said they were safe, and they replayed the tape of his reaction. Peta says, it was embarrassing. Erin says, it was not embarrassing. They are both excited to be in the semi-finals, and Tommy thanks his wife, Shelby, for everything. He says, he owes it all to her. Tommy says, he had his bags packed, and thought he was going to New York today. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 8, Julianne - 7, Bruno - 7. Total 29. Erin says, the trio round is coming up, and the outfit is going to be ridiculous. Tom says, the flip side of all this good news for Tommy and Peta, it means that someone else will be going home tonight. More to come, live, after the break.

 

Tom welcomes everyone back to the ballroom. We see highlights and practice sessions for the week for Lea and Artem. They are dancing the Samba to Animals by Maroon 5. The crowd really enjoyed their dance, and is giving them their well-deserved applause and cheers. Bruno says, she was like a pussycat, and toying with a boy. He says, she was working her asset, and he loves it, and tells her to keep working it. Carrie Ann says, it was amazing, and tells her she looks great working it in her cat outfit. She says, she wants to see her dance like that all the time, and be more consistent. Len says, he thinks it was terrific. He says, she puts the sync in syncopation. Julianne says, her costume looks familiar, and she wore one like that. She says, when you are a cat, you get down, and get back up, and she was fierce. They are sent upstairs for their scores. Tom welcomes Samantha Harris to the ballroom, as a guest in the audience. Lea says, she wants to inspire moms out there everywhere. She says, she wants them to know to never give up, and they can do anything. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Len - 9, Julianne - 8, Bruno - 9. Total 34. Erin says, the trio round will be coming up soon, and they need your votes. Tom says, there's more to come in the ballroom after the break, live.

 

When Dancing With The Stars America's Choice episode comes back to the ballroom there are professional dancers on stage dancing. We see highlights and practice sessions for Bethany and Derek. They are dancing the Viennese Waltz to Say You Love Me by Jessie Ware. The audience is on their feet for their whole dance, and really cheers for them when they are finished. Carrie Ann says, she is so impressed. She says, it was absolutely stunning, and Bethany threw herself into the dance. She says, there was only one problem with her shoulders, and it was breathtaking. Len says, he would have liked the standing spin to be a fleckerl. Tom asks Derek was in the world is a fleckerl? Derek says, it is a dance move for the Viennese Waltz. He says, although it wasn't a fleckerl dance move, the impression was there. Len says, he really liked it though. Julianne says, her journey has been open and connecting all season. She says, it connected for her, and it was beautiful. Bruno says, lyracal, fluid and flowing. He says, she was very effective, check her shoulders, and wonderful. They are staying by Tom, and will get their scores after the break. Tom says, one couple will sadly be eliminated tonight, live.

 

Bethany and Derek are upstairs with Erin when Dancing With The Stars comes back from the break. Erin welcomes everyone back, and says that we saw a gorgeous routine from Bethany and Derek before the break. She asks Bethany how her journey has been so far? Bethany says, she has been vulnerable, and she's enjoying showing it each week. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 9, Len - 9, Julianne - 9, Bruno - 9. Total 36. Erin says, they can get more points in the trio round. Tony is sitting behind Erin is a different costume, and Erin says, it's a preview of what's to come. Tom says, Tony probably rents out for private parties, but that's for another time.

 

We see highlights and previews for this week for Sadie and Mark. They are dancing the Jive to 1, 2, 3 Turnaround (Remastered) by Christian TV. The audience really cheers for them, and is on their feet. Len says, no stressing and no messing. He loves the content of that dance. He says, she is a tall girl, and it's sometimes difficult if you are taller. He says, her kicks and flicks could have been better, but he loved it. Julianne says, she really loves the dance, and she did really well with the hard choreography. She says, it wasn't her favorite dance, but there will be more to come. Bruno says, she did what she had to do, and she captured the dance. He says, she did a good job with it. Carrie Ann says, they all love the way she dances, and she only lacked a little bit of strength in her torso to keep it together. She says, she killed it on the back end of the dance, and says she did a good job. They are sent up to Erin for their scores. Sadie says, she hopes that they will go further, just as everyone hopes they will go further. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Len - 9, Julianne -8, Bruno -8. Total 33. Erin says, they have a chance to get more points tonight in the trio dance. Erin says, the gowns that the ladies are going to put on are to die for, and Sadie's mom is going to love it. Tom says, there is more to come after the break, and shows some highlights of practices for the trio dances.

 

Dancing With The Stars comes back with the band singing. Tom says, so far it has been revealed that Tommy and Peta are safe. He says, that means one of the higher scoring couples will be eliminated tonight. We see highlights and practice sessions for Janel and Val. They are dancing the Quickstep to Hey, Boy! Hey, Girl! by Louis Prima and Keely Smith. They kiss at the end of their dance, and the audience goes crazy for them. Val says, he messed up. Janel says, he was still cute, and she was blessed, and she got kissed, so she doesn't care. Julianne says, she doesn't care about his patent leather shoes sticking, because that was the way the Quickstep is supposed to be done. She says, it's been the best dance of the night so far. Bruno loves it, and uses many adjectives, and says it was the best dance. Carrie Ann agrees, and says, it's the best dance so far tonight. Len says, it was great, and it also was the best. They go upstairs to Erin for their scores. Erin asks how it all came together so well? Janel says, lots and lots of practice. She says, Val has a soft side, and helps her get to where she needs to be. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 9, Len - 10, Julianne - 10, Bruno - 9. Total 38. Tom says, so far tonight Janel and Val are at the top of the leader board with a 38, and Tommy and Peta with a 29.

 

We see practice sessions for Alfonso and Witney for their Paso Doble that they are dancing in the trio dance. They dance to Turn Down For What by DJ Snake and Lil Jon. The audience really likes that dance, and goes crazy for them. They danced with Lindsey for that dance. Len says, he wasn't a real fan of the song, but was a real fan of that Paso Doble. Julianne loves it, and says, the Matrix has nothing on them. Bruno says, it was like the ring master chasing the space vixen. He loves it. Carrie Ann says, two syllables...da-mn. She says, she loved it. Tom says, they will get their scores after the break, and there is more trio dances to come, live.

 

Erin welcomes us back from the break. The trio is upstairs with her awaiting their scores. They laugh about Len not vibing with the song. Carrie Ann - 10, Len - 10, Julianne - 10, Bruno - 10. Total 40. Total for the night is 77. Erin told them to do the cape dance really quick, and they did.

 

We see practice sessions for Peta and Tommy's trio dance with Sharna. They are dancing the Samba to Talk Dirty by Jason Derulo. The airplane seats for their dance said "Chong-Air." The judges are all laughing hysterically. Tom asks Bruno if he's o.k.? Julianne says, she doesn't even know what to say. Bruno says, he has the look of the man that invented the Mile-High club. He says, he's not sure about the dance, but he had a good time. Carrie Ann says, she doesn't really know what to say, and that was very good entertainment. She says it was great, and they should take that idea to Shark Tank and sell it. She says, she loved that number. Len says, he's flying back to London after tonight, and he's buying his ticket on Chong-Air. The next trio dance will be next, after the break, live.

 

We come back to the ballroom with a professional trio dancing. Erin welcomes everyone back, and says it's every man's dream to have to women dance with them. She asks him how it was for him? Tommy says, it was hard. All of the judges, Tom and Erin all laugh. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 8, Julianne - 7, Bruno - 7. Total 29. Total for the night is 57. Erin says, they are safe for tonight, but still needs votes for next week.

 

We see practice sessions for Lea and Artem's trio dance that they are doing with Henry. They dance the Paso Doble to Black Betty by Ram Jam. The audience is cheering during their dance, and roars when they are finished. Bruno says, I must increase my bust. He says, she has enough prime beef to last a lifetime. He says, she worked the patterns correctly, and did a great job. Carrie Ann says, it was a great strategy. She says, they did it all together, and she killed it. Len says, they made her the focal point of the routine, and held the flavor of the Paso Doble. He says, he thought it was great. Julianne says, she loves a woman who does a Paso with men flocking, and she's done it. She says, she killed it. They go upstairs to Erin for their scores. Erin says, this is not a bad sandwich either. Erin asks about their costumes, and Lea says, they are super hot. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 9, Len - 9, Julianne - 9, Bruno - 9. Total 36. Total for the night is 70. Erin says, this sandwich is not available at your local grocery store. She tells everyone to vote for them. Tom says, more trio dances to come, and one more couple will fall, before the semi-finals. More to come after the break, live.

 

Dancing With The Stars America's Choice episode returns with the judges all dancing, and Bruno lying on the judges table while dancing. We see practice sessions for Bethany and Derek's trio dance with Tony. They are dancing the Argentine Tango to Jungle by Jamie N Commons and X Ambassadors. The audience really enjoyed their dance. Tom says, he would like to thank the TV show Hoarders for the use of their chairs. Carrie Ann says, she loved it. She says, there was a little to much switching and transitions. Len says, he thinks the switches from Derek to Tony and back were seamless. He says, he liked it, and they are the chairman. He says, that's why there are 4 judges. Julianne says, she loved it, and wants to know who she is. She says, she owned it, and them. Bruno says, she was aggressive and raw, and he loved it. They will get their scores after the break. Dancing With The Stars returns with the trio upstairs with Erin awaiting their scores. Erin welcomes everyone back to the ballroom. She says we saw a terrific Tango from the trio. Tony tells Bethany that he loved dancing with her. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 9, Len - 10, Julianne - 10, Bruno - 9. Total 38. Total for the night is 74. Erin says, they still need votes to survive.

 

We saw practice sessions with Sadie and Mark's trio with Emma. They are dancing the Foxtrot to Can't Take My Eyes Off You by Frankie Valli. Tom asks Sadie what's wrong, and she says she forgot the last part. Tom says, they might not notice. Len says, that was the best trio of the night, and he wishes there was an 11 paddle. Julianne says, she should feel like a million bucks, because it was perfect. She says, they took a risk having another female dancer, and it was worth it. Bruno says, he couldn't tell who the professional was in the dance. They bypass Carrie Ann for time, and they are sent upstairs to Erin for their scores. Tom says, Sadie was a little too hard on herself. Erin gives a shout out to the wardrobe department for the dresses. Sadie says, she forgot the ending, and had to make up her own little dance part. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 10, Len - 10, Julianne - 10, Bruno - 10. Total 40. Total for the night is 73. Erin told her to stop crying for a little bit, and tells everyone to vote for them. Tom says, you know they are doing well, when they are harder judges than the judges. He says, there is one more trio dance after the break, live.

 

We come back to Dancing With The Stars with hair and make-up being touched up. Tom says, Janel and Val with finish out the night dancing their trio dance with Keo. We see their practice sessions for this dance. They are dancing the Salsa to tribal music. The crowd erupts for them when they are finished. Tom says, we need to play beat the clock here a little bit. Julianne says, there wasn't a lot of Salsa content, but she doesn't care, because it was so great to watch. Bruno says, Janel is Season 19 Jungle Queen, and he loved it. He says, it had a lot of sensuality. Carrie Ann says, she has star quality like Beyonce. Len says, it was a fantastic number, and he would have like a little more Salsa content in there. He says, a fantastic number. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 10, Len - 9, Julianne - 10, Bruno - 10. Total 39. Total for the night is 77. Tom says, they need votes to make up the other half of their votes for the night. They join the other contestants on stage.
 
The next couple safe is Alfonso and Witney. The next couple who is safe is Bethany and Derek. The next couple who is also safe is Janel and Val. Lea and Artem and Sadie and Mark are in the bottom two. On this ninth week of competition, the couple leaving right now is Lea and Artem. They go over to Erin and Tom. Erin says, she had hoped to inspire women, and asks how she feels now? She says, she did a great job with her pro, and she loves him. She says, she's ready to get back to her day job on Switched At Birth. Tom and Erin recap the dances, and the numbers to call to vote. Alfonso and Witney and Janel and Val are at the top of the leader board with 77, and Tommy and Peta are at the bottom of the leader board with 29. Tom says, they all need your votes to continue on. Tom says, to remember all of America's Veterans tomorrow, and wishes the Marine Corps a Happy Birthday today. He says, Castle is up next, and tells everyone to have a good night.
