Dancing With The Stars ~ U.S. Season 19 Episode 7

Dancing With The Stars starts tonight with Cheryl Burke saying it's going to be a Switch-Up Challenge tonight. We see scenes from other dancers. Jessie Jay opens the night singing Bang Bang and Burnin' Up with professional dancers on stage with her. The crowd goes wild, and is giving her a standing ovation, including the judges. Tom says Jessie Jay is going to be a guest judge tonight, and is changing. Erin wishes everyone a Happy Columbus Day. Tom introduces the partners for tonight's Switch-Up. They are: Alfonso and Cheryl, Antonio and Allison, Bethany and Mark, Janel and Artem, Jonathan and Peta, Lea and Val, Michael and Whitney, Sadie and Derek, and Tommy and Ema.

 

We see some practice sessions from the week. Tom says Antonia and Allison are up first after the break. He says, we'll be back with Jessie Jay, our guest judge, Live.

 

Tom welcomes us back to the Switch-Up, with Jessie J as a guest judge. He asks her what she will be looking for when judging? She tells him, something entertaining. We see highlights and practice sessions for Antonio and Allison from this weeks dance. They are dancing Bollywood to One Two Three Four Get On The Dance Floor, by Vishal Dadlani. Antonio suspends himself in the air, hanging by his right arm at the end of the dance. The audience loves it. Julianne says, he comes every week showing how much he loves it, and wants it. She likes his facial expressions, but said there was a disconnect in the chemistry, between them as partners. Bruno says, Aladdin Aladdin, that princess is very hard to catch. He says, they were off a little, and weren't as together as they should have been. Carrie Ann says it's a great partnership, and he brought it out. She says, there was a little disconnect with the partnership. Jessie says it was the first time she's seem them dance, and she loved how he went in the air at the end of the dance. She loved the dance. Tom says, there's no elimination tonight. The dancers go to Erin for their scores. Erin tells Antonio he has the abs for his costume. Cheryl goes up to Antonio, and tells him he misses her, and he says, yes. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Jessie - 6, Julianne - 7, Bruno - 7, Total 28. Erin says to vote for the dancers if you want them to stay next week. Everyone gets 9 votes this week whichever way they dance. We see highlights for Mark and Sadie, and then go to break.

 

Dancing With The Stars comes back showing the dancers in make-up, and practicing. Tom says, Bethany and Mark are up next. We see more practice sessions and highlights for them. They are dancing Hip Hop to She Came To Give It To You, by Usher. The audience is cheering, applauding and a standing ovation during their dance. The audience goes wild at the end of the dance. Bruno says they look so good together. He tells Bethany she is expanding more each week, and she has moves from the Madonna era. He says, she wasn't even born then, and tells her she only missed a few steps during the dance. Carrie Ann says, she has swag for real. She loves everything about it, and she was a little sticky during the ball room part, because of the sneakers. Jessie says, she hasn't seen them dance before, and thought she may be shy, but she attacked it, and she really enjoyed it. Julianne says, Derek, I think she just showed you some attack. She says, Derek and Mark have different teaching styles, and she completely held her own. They head upstairs to Erin for their scores. Erin says, she loves a good happy hour, and Bethany shows a nice move from the dance. Erin tells her, that's some swag. Bethany says, it was nerve wracking in the beginning, but then got into the grove. Erin says, she's blossoming.  Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Jessie - 8, Julianne - 8, Bruno - 8, Total 32. Erin asks Bethany which partner she likes better? Bethany says, they both have different teaching styles, and you can't compare them. Tom says, Derek and Sadie will be up next after the break, Live, and we see them hugging as they prepare to dance next.

 

Dancing With The Stars returns with Bethany interviewing Mark about their dance. Tom says, it was a Mark Ballas pep talk. He says the pressure is on for Jonathan and Peta. We see highlights and practice sessions for the week for them. They are dancing the Jitterbug to Rock This Town, by Stray Cats. The audience loves them. Carrie Ann says, there were moments when she thought this partnership was working, but so much more of it was wrong. She says, there were so many mess ups. Jessie says, it made her feel uncomfortable and nervous. She says, she couldn't relax and enjoy it. She says, it was like a roller coaster. Jonathan says, welcome to my life. Julianne says, she was holding her breath, and not in a good way. She says, she wants him to do so well, and says, you could see it on Peta's face, that it was uncomfortable. Tom sends them to Erin for their scores, and says we got the gist of it. Erin says, she saw Jonathan's face when Carrie Ann started. Jonathan says, he thought a part of Peta's costume may have come off. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 6, Jessie - 6, Julianne - 6, Bruno - 6, Total 24. Erin says, there won't be an elimination this week, but the scores will be combined next week. We see highlights of Antonio and Alfonso talking about Cheryl, before we go to break.

 

Dancing With The Stars comes back with Sharma and Tony dancing. Tom calls them over to him, and says they are going to show Tony's audition tape. Tony says, he thinks he was wearing a blouse, but he's not sure about the hair. All the dancers upstairs do a movement from the audition tape. We see highlights and practice sessions for Alfonso and Cheryl.

 

Alfonso and Cheryl are doing the Flamenco to instrumental music. The crowd goes wild, and erupts after they finish dancing. Jessie says, she saw such a connection with them, and it was amazing. She says, the lines were great, and Cheryl looks amazing. Julianne says, that was the first partnership she believed tonight. She says, it was amazing, and loved seeing this side of him. She says, the intensity was so strong. Bruno says, Alfonso and Cheryl was lust in the dust. He says, they need to lift and separate. Alfonso says, it was his big ol' shoulders. Tom sends them upstairs to Erin for their scores. Alfonso says, Cheryl has a lot of energy, and the mouth has no filter. He wishes his wife, Angela, a Happy 2-Year Anniversary. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Jessie - 9, Julianne - 9, Bruno - 8, Total 34. Erin says to vote for them, they still need votes. Tom says, we learned tonight that once you danced with another woman, it's always good to give a shout-out to your wife. We'll return, Live, after the break with more dancing.

 

Dancing With The Stars returns with professional dancers dancing on stage. Tom welcomes everyone back to the Switch-Up. He introduces us to the hosts of the live-stream. He says, Janel and Artem are next to dance. We see highlights for them for the week. They dance the Burlesque to Jessie J singing, Mamma Knows Best, Live. The crowd goes wild, and they are loud. Tom says, very nice, and tells them to go over there. He asks Janel how she got lipstick on her own nose. Janel apologizes to her dad. Julianne says, that was sexy, but not Burlesque. She says, it was raunchy and sexy, and she likes it, but not enough Burlesque. Bruno says, never to sexy for him. He says, there is not a person in the country that will need Viagra tonight. He says, she can tease him all the time. Carrie Ann says, she loves how they trusted each other so quickly in one week, with the lifts. She says, she liked the chemistry, but they lost the story. Jessie says, she really enjoyed it, and realizes how hard that must have been. She says, she couldn't dance like that in front of her mom, and says hello to her mom. Tom sends them upstairs for their scores. He says, Pitbull will be on the show next week. Erin says, it was hot and amazing. Janel says, they worked hard, and it was a blast. She says she was thinking about puppies when doing the dance. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Jessie - 8, Julianne - 8, Bruno - 9, Total 33. Erin says, for them to be safe from elimination next week, they need your votes. Tom says more dancing is to come, Live, and we go to break.

 

Dancing With The Stars comes back with Jessie J singing Mama Knows Best, and professional dancers Peta and Val dancing to her song. Tom says, our NASCAR dancer with dance next with Whitney. We see highlights and practice sessions for Michael and Whitney for this week. They are dancing Disco to Car Wash, by Rose Royce. The crowd goes wild at the end for them. Bruno laughes, and says, non of the movement was on-time, but it was enjoyable. Carrie Ann says, there were a couple movements on-time, and they had her giggling, but she doesn't want to giggle anymore in week 5. Jessie asks if his mustache is real, and tells him it was consistent. She says, they did it, and let it all out. She says, it wasn't amazing or terrible, but it was consistent. Julianne says, it's week 5, and it's entertaining, but it needs to be better. It would have been good for week 1, but they need to step it up. Tom sends them upstairs to Erin for their scores. Erin says, harsh comments from the judges, and it's hard to take that, with working and struggling. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 5, Jessie - 5, Julianne - 5, Bruno - 5, Total 20. The audience is booing. Whitney says, she's surprised by those scores. Erin tells everyone to vote for them if they want them to stay. Tom says, Tommy and Ema will dance Live after the break.

 

Tom welcomes us back to Dancing With The Stars, after professional dancers dance. We see highlights for Tommy and Peta for the week. They are going to dance the Mambo to Pass The Dutchie, by Musical Youth. The crowd goes wild, with dancers jumping up and down for them. Tom calls them over to him, and says, that was fun. He says, the judges are still deciding, and conferring. Carrie Ann says, the song choice was a little hard to do the Mambo to, because it was so slow. She says, they had the groove going on, but it was a little lackluster. Jessie says, she really enjoyed it, and they were relaxed. She says, they went into it, and dropped it like a squat. She says, it wasn't amazing, but it was chill. Julianne says, this was the first time she saw Tommy tired. She says, it's week 5, and they seem to be running out of material. The audience boos her. Bruno says, he understands that it was a slow Mambo. He says, he was doing it on his own time, a little slowly, but he got to the end. Tom send them to Erin for their scores. Tom says, the Switch-Up is for this week only, and their won't be an elimination. Erin says, they don't pick their own music, so there's that. Tommy says, he's old, so that's why he looks tired. Erin says, she's impressed that he can remember the dances, and do this in week 5 at his age. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 6, Jessie - 6, Julianne - 5, Bruno - 6, Total 23. Peta shouted, "WHAT," with the 5 vote, and can't believe the judges are being so mean tonight. Erin says, they need your votes to help them stay. Tom says, there's more dancing to come after the break.

 

Tom welcomes us back to Dancing With The Stars. He says, everyone wanted to see Sadie dance with Derek, and they show highlights and practice sessions from them this week. They are dancing the Charleston, to Crazy Stupid Love by Cheryl Cole. The audience is cheering for them throughout their dance. Then the audience really erupts after they are finished. Tom says, good job. Jessie says, it was really clean, and their lines were really great. She says, they were on point, and if she hadn't known, it would have taken her a little while to know who the professional was. Julianne says, hello Miss Daisy, and her limbs are perfect for this style. She says, she missed a little bit of timing at the beginning. Bruno says, she should have been on the cover of Vogue in the 1920's, and she's a Flapper. He says, she was spot on, perfect. Carrie Ann says, it was great. Tom sends them upstairs to Erin for their scores. Erin says, she was unbelievable. She asks what the biggest difference is between Mark and Derek? She says, it's a difference between them, because Mark takes her through the entire dance, and Derek makes it up as they go. She says, they are like brothers, they are easy to learn from, and it was a lot of fun. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 9, Jessie - 9, Julianne - 9, Bruno - 9, Total 36. Erin says, they have the highest score of the night, and tells everyone to vote for them. Tom says, the last dance of the night will be from Lea and Val. He says, Pitbull will be on next week, and they show Pitbull talking on video, before going to break.

 

Tom welcomes us back to Dancing With The Stars, for the last dance of the night. He says, Lea took a near perfect score last week, and wonders if she can do it again. We see highlights and practice sessions for Lea and Artem. They dance Broadway, to You Can't Stop The Beat from the movie Hairspray. The audience goes crazy for them. Tom calls them over for their scores, and Artem is using a walker to dance. Julianne says, this is the first time she saw Lea hesitate, and she was a little unsure. She says, the concept was so fun, and she enjoyed it. Bruno says, insanely funny, and only she can put the cast of Cocoon on acid. He says, it was a treat for him. Carrie Ann asks what the concept was, and he says it was for older people. She says, she actually loved it, and well done. Jessie says, the acting and dancing was the best, and she was the character. She says, if you do have a walker, don't try that at home, because no one had said it. Tom sends them upstairs with Erin for their scores. He says, no elimination tonight. Erin asks Lea how she thought it went? She says, she was in a great spot, and tried to own it. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 9, Jessie - 8, Julianne - 8, Bruno - 9, Total 34. Val says, one of the highlights of the show were the dancers that helped them in the show, and he wants to thank them. Erin says, everyone goes back to their original partners next week.

 

We see recaps of tonight's dances, and phone numbers to call for voting. Tom says, quite a night. Alfonso is on top of the leader board with a 74, and Michael is at the bottom of the leader board with a 45. Tom says, next week Pitbull will be the guest judge next week. He says, watch Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, tomorrow night at 9 p.m., and an all new Castle starts in a few seconds.
