Dancing With The Stars ~ U.S. Season 19 Episode 3

Tonight is "My Jam Monday." The Stars choose their favorite songs. Len Goodman says he hopes they chose wisely. The dancers dance with Len Goodman. The dancers dance with Carrie Ann Inaba. The dancers dance with Bruno Tonioli. Then they dance with Julianne Hough. All the dancers smile and wave to the cameras and audience. Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews open the show.

 

They show Randy Couture and Karina Smirnoff during their practice sessions. Randy and Karina are dancing to the Cha Cha to Satisfaction. Len tells them they did well. Julianne says it was a great way to start the night, and it was really fun. Bruno says they could have a new hip-action hero if they keep going in that direction. He says their energy and enthusiasm are in the right place. They just need to get a little cleaner and sharper. Carrie Ann says she was a little disappointed. She wants to see the other side of Randy. Judges Scores: Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 7, Julianne - 7, Bruno - 7, Total 28.

 

Tom Bergeron welcomes everyone back to the second night of live competition. They review Janel Parrish and Valentin Chmerkovskiy practice session. They dance the Foxtrot to Call Me Maybe. Julianne says it wasn't a traditional Foxtrot, but screw tradition, because she loved it. She tells them, to fix their steps if they stay. Bruno says, she's hot-to-trot. He says the supporting foot wasn't strong enough just a couple times, and was almost perfect for him. Carrie Ann is impressed with their versatility and close to perfect. Len says he would have like to see more on their holds, but they can dance well. Erin tells them they were near perfect out there. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 9, Len - 8, Julianne - 8, Bruno - 9, Total 34.

 

Tom Bergeron comes back to "My Jam Monday." They show practice sessions from Lea Thompson and Artem Chigvintev. They dance the Jive to a Wilson Pickett song. Bruno says, Viva La Lea, and says she has star quality, and she only missed a tiny, tiny pass. Carrie Ann almost falls, and says she loves them. Len says he was concerned and doesn't know why, because that was terrific. Julianne tells them they gave her chills more than one time, and she was like a hot mama leopard. She says she held her own, without Artem. Erin says Lea killed it, and they all have American flags because Artem became a U.S. Citizen this week. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 9, Len - 8, Julianne - 9, Bruno - 9, Total 35. Erin says, next week is movie night, and phone lines open one hour after the show ends.

 

They show practice sessions and highlights from Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater. Tom and Erin come back, and are up with the other competitors as Michael and Emma dance the Samba to Girls In Bikkini's. Carrie Ann says it was wonderful, but not much Samba. Len says he puts the wild in wacky, and he liked it. Julianne says he mastered the hip rolls, and that's definitely his thing, but it's the in-betweens that still need lessons. Bruno says, he must be the envy of every male in America tonight. He says, there is so much to handle. Erin says last week Michael complained of having a wedgie, not sure if he has that problem this week. Michael says he was so excited he could hardly contain himself. He was happy to be with girls in bikinis. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 6, Len - 6, Julianne - 6, Bruno - 6, Total 24.

 

Practice sessions and highlights are shown from Travis Smiley and Sharna Burgess. They dance the Cha Cha to Boogie Wonderland. Len says it lacked a little bit of polish, but he likes the concept, feet and Earth, Wind and Fire. He says they need to work on the details. Julianne says, they do need to work on the details, but this seems to be their jam, and they performed it very very well. Bruno says they have the disco fever going, and the Cha Cha was a bit to stompy. Carrie Ann says she disagrees, and they totally performed it well. She says she was impressed with it. Judges Scores will come after the break. We are back with Erin talking to Travis. He says he really enjoyed the dance, and can't wait until next week. Judges Scores: Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 7, Julianne - 7, Bruno - 7, Total 28. Live elimination show is tomorrow at 8 PM EST/7PM CST.

 

We see practice sessions and highlights for Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson. They dance Samba to Gettin' Jiggy Wit It. They get a standing ovation from the audience. Julianne says, you're great, and you're going to make everything look wonderful, because he has the Alfonso groove. She says, she wants to see something more in the Samba groove, with more bounce. Bruno says, his personal style, charisma, and technique are unique and astonishing. Carrie Ann says, he gave them the jiggy jiggy jam and had a costume malfunction. She says it was a solid performance. Len says he came out, and was full of vigor. He says he wants to see him next week, but he won't be there, and the audience boos. Len says, they are happy he won't be there. Tom says, they will be happy when they find out who is there next week. Erin tells Alfonso it was amazing out there. He says, the goal is to learn more, and he's going to listen, and try to do it better. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Len - 8, Julianne - 8, Bruno - 8, Total 32. Alfonso says, that's the score he deserves, and he made mistakes.

 

Tom says there is a Season 18 reunion over there. Lea and Artem are at the top of the leader board with Michael and Emma at the bottom. We see practice sessions and highlights for Bethany Mota and Derek Hough. They dance the Foxtrot to I'm All About The Bass. Bruno says, foxy Bethany, and anything foxy does it for him. He says, she did all the little details very well. Carrie Ann says, she's starting to tell a story, and it was a wonderful routine. Len says, he doesn't blog, and to look at their Twitter account, because that's a great number, the best he's seen all night. Julianne says, to put this on their You Tube Channel. She says, that was your jam, and this is her jam, that was awesome. Erin asks Bethany which was better Len saying to put in on her Twitter, or Taylor Swift Tweeting her? She says, it's all awesome. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Len - 9, Julianne - 8, Bruno - 8, Total 33.

 

Tom is back with practice sessions and highlights for Betsy Johnson and Tony Dovolani. They dance the Foxtrot to Girls Just Want To Have Fun. They get a standing ovation from the audience. Tom says, what a difference a week makes, and the crowd still goes wild. Carrie Ann says, all hail queen Betsey. She says, she's exquisite. Len says, tonight is a night to remember. Julianne says it was a make under, and it was elegant and timeless. Bruno says, she needs to get ready for her close-up. Betsey tells Erin she is being completely remade by Tony. She says, Tony wants her to feel pretty. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 7, Julianne - 7, Bruno - 7, Total 28. Betsey says 7 is her favorite number.

 

We are back with Tom on the stairs, and starts the practice sessions and highlights for Antonio Sabato Jr. and Cheryl Burke. They dance the Rumba to Adorn. They have a hot and heavy performance. Tom says, wow, nicely done. Len says, don't over analyze theses dances, you just have to be better the following week, and they did that. Julianne says, they were not just better, but a lot better, and she is really really impressed. She says the connection was beautiful. Bruno says they were smoldering. He says it meant something to both of them, and he says he has a nice butt, to use it more. Carrie Ann says, they were subtle, and they are on their way up. She says to watch the arm that's not in hold, because it can sometimes get a way from them. We come back from the break with the Judges Scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Len - 7, Julianne - 8, Bruno - 8, Total 31.

 

We see practice sessions and highlights for Tommy Chong and Peta Mergatoyd. They dance the Salsa to Higher. They get very loud cheers from the audience, and a standing ovation. Tom says, Tommy's not wasting any spray tan today. Julianne says the only way she can describe that dance was with a lot of F words, fun, fast, and f'n fabulous. Bruno says, he can party like it's 1969, and you are as young as you feel. Carrie Ann says he in the big kahuna with the bear chest and he rocked it. Bruno says, he was overdosed on fun, plenty of wiggles and giggles, and he was working his assets. Peta says he brought the house down, and is amazing. Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 7, Julianne - 7, Bruno - 7, Total 28.

 

Final two dances come back after the break. Tom comes back, standing up with the dancers in the balcony. They show practice sessions and highlights with Jonathan Bennett and Allison Holker. They dance the Cha Cha to Sing. The audience is clapping and giving them a standing ovation. Bruno says, they have rock and roll idol tonight. He says, they did it very well, and they did the sharp angles very well. He says, some of the elements were rushed. Carrie Ann says, she loves seeing that side of him. She says, she feels there wasn't that much Cha Cha in the dance. Len says it was jerky, and very little content in the Cha Cha. He says a little flim flam and not enough content. He tells Allison to watch it back tonight. Julianne says, they are very consistent, and will grow in the season. She says, they need some more content as well. They head to the sky box, and Erin tells them, great job. Allison says she wants to bring a fresh new take to the choreography. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 7, Len - 7, Julianne - 8, Bruno - 8, Total 30. Tom says one of the stand out dancers from last week will finish after the break, live.

 

We are back with all the dancers lined up on stage. The final dance of the night is coming up, they were the highest scoring dance last week. We see practice sessions and highlights for Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas. They dance Jazz to She's Country. They get a loud applause, a lot of noise, and a standing ovation. Carrie Ann says, her maternal side is coming out, and asks if her dad was o.k. with that routine. She says it was edgy, and she killed it. Len says, he's glad that it took her back to her roots, but Jazz and Country didn't jive for him. Julianne says, she's a natural performer, and she hit it hard. She says, she misses her leg action from last week. Bruno says, that was great. Judges scores: Carrie Ann - 8, Len - 7, Julianne - 8, Bruno - 8, Total 31.

 

Erin and Tom recap all of the phone numbers for the dancers. Tom says, such a fun, funny and sweet night. Lea and Artem at the top of the leader board, with a score of 35.  Michael and Emma at the bottom, with a score of 24. Julianne Hough will perform tomorrow with the pros. The season premiere of Forever starts now. Tune in tomorrow at 8 PM EST/7 PM CST for the Results show.
