post-2-0-14916700-1403291287_thumb.jpgIn an unprecedented vote of confidence, AMC has renewed “Breaking Bad” prequel “Better Call Saul” for a second season prior to even debuting. An initial order of 23 episodes in total has been ordered. Season one will debut in early 2015, with the drama joining “The Walking Dead” and “Talking Dead” on AMC in the first quarter of each of the next two years.

Created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, “Better Call Saul” focuses on the life of Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), the crooked strip mall lawyer before his endeavors on “Breaking Bad.” In addition to Gilligan and Gould, several “Breaking Bad” writers have returned to work on “Saul,” including Thomas Schnauz and Gennifer Hutchison.
