Grodner told Amanda she has a Public Image problem and she needs to fix it

When did this happen? I mean by tonights episode it is CLEAR that they are trying to help Amanda be liked again but did Amanda say something about production telling her about an image problem?

If that happened in the DR then how do you know this? If A had any brains she would keep that to herself. Telling others will put a target on her back for sure.

Wow the CBS show last night was a fluff piece on Amanda. The little scene of Mandy in the bubble bath with Cray Cray and them telling each other I love you. The cute little DR's with the clown puppet. Yes production is trying to make Amanda look like a funny girl in love with her pizza boy.

They want to make sure she does not get America's vote again.

Why do we watch the show? No two of us for the same reason. The question of what about it constitutes a game is also part of the "charm" there is reality and there is game. The game is supposed to give license to behave as one would not otherwise...and yet we also think we are seeing into the reality of these people as they expose themselves in "playing". I recall the scandal when the $64K ? was revealed to have given the answers to one of the contestants. There was some court involvement due to the fraud. I am not sure that pertains here as the HGs have signed not to reveal and are paid and threatened with suit if they reveal...

I watch because I am fascinated by human behavior. Big Brother is a study in how far some people will go for money, and what part of their inner selves they will divulge in their quest for it. To what extent will they stab others in the back, lie to them and manipulate them?

Personally, I could never live in such a situation for any amount of money. To me it would be like being in prison, and probably even worse because just about every aspect of their lives is being exposed to the public 24/7. They're also exposing their loved ones to humiliation and scrutiny. How does one sign up for something like that?

It would be interesting to survey past HGs to find out how many regret doing the show, and how their families and friends feel about it and how it impacted THEIR lives.

I agree; especially specific HG's. I suspect the winners were most impacted, except for Jeff Schroeder and a couple of others.

I so agree! She's playing the game! It makes no sense to me for viewers to want to evict the players, and keep the floaters/do nothings in.

Her cursing and name calling do not bother me either. I've seen some people call her a bully, which I don't agree with. She is bold, crude, and somewhat intimidating...hardly a bully tho. Maybe I have a different opinion on what a bully is...people throw that word out too casually these days, imo. I thought Evel Dick was a lot more brazen with all his cursing and intimidating tactics...the way he talked about Jen was disgusting. I didn't like him for it, but I will never fault him for using his intimidation tactics and for playing hard in the game. I recall him using the "C" word repeatedly and even recall something about wanting to physically assault her (was it rape?)...yet for some reason a lot of the posters here and on CBS chat, that are calling Amanda out on her swearing, loved ED...enjoyed his behavior, and give him a pass. I don't get that logic....only thing I can think of is that it's a tactic viewers/posters use in order to sway others into rooting for their favorite.

I'm guilty of this. I was/am an Evel Dick fan. I do think he went overboard with the Jen stuff, but I hated her so much that I overlooked a lot of it. I thought most of the tactics he pulled were ingenius. On the other hand other mean players throughout the season have really been a turnoff for me. I can't explain it. It doesn't make logical sense. But at least I know it doesn't make sense. lol

As John Wooden said, “The true test of a man's character is what he does when no one is watching.”

Or in the case of the HGs, when they forget that EVERYONE is watching.

WEIRD - That is the 2nd time today I've seen this quote. I saw it here and someone also had it posted up at work. WEIRD. Is the universe trying to tell me something? LOL

A good number of the former houseguests have gained a relative amount of fame from the show. I think quite a few of them supplement their income with their blogs and online internet shows about BB (Jun, Evel Dick, Rachel, Janelle). I bet most do not regret the experience.

But they didn't get the fame that they were looking to find. So many of them seem to think that they will get 'offers' when they get out. Other than BB related appearances and online things, I don't think any past HG has really done anything in TV or film. Well, maybe some porn. Since GM doesn't have a job, porn might be something she could look into. Her experience BB and in pageants might help her out there. And since Spence might be also be unemployed, he will have plenty of time to watch porn. Maybe he can blog about that.

I believe that.

That is why they tried to show her in the diary room with that stupid clown trying to make a joke... Which she FAILED at MISERABLY....

So, you can see that production does have her there and something seems shady where Amanda and production is concerned. No matter what. She has tainted herself with her tasteless remarks and behaviour.

Yes, production is trying to improve her image. But we the public are smarter than that. We will continue to vote for her to be on the block.

That little bubble bath crap was so fake. Didn't she say she had a boyfriend outside the house? As if she would ever gave McCrae the time of day outside the house...right !!

I'm pretty sure, given the vulgar things that Spencer has said, that he probably already watches more than an average amount of porn. Maybe he can go beyond blogging about it and actually get into that line of work.

His family must be so proud. ;)

McManda getting really hot and lots of heavy breathing when I turned on the feeds just now.

I think I have a tummy ache. :1307312653_free_icon___sun_vomi

and production lets them cover up their mics and whisper strategy.

Actually Rachel has been on The Bold and Beautiful several times as the same character. Now I believe Jeff Schroeder is going to be on that show also. Elisabeth Hasselbeck was on Survivor and got the job on the view from that. Remember Travis Stork from The Bachelor? Well he is not only a doctor in real life but on the TV show The Doctors. Granted they are the exception rather than the rule but they do get a good resume filler and many of them use the so called celebrity they receive to do some good things. They have a fan following and do a lot of charity work.

Yes, those are the exceptions for sure. There are like 1000 others who are home twiddling their thumbs, and about 4 of them in jail, including BB9 winner Adam Jasinski, and don't forget infamous Survivor winner Richard Hatch - he did like 48 months in prison. Who can forget annoying chef Joe Arvin from last season who thought he was going to be handed a cooking show when BB ended - what a clown!

The Amanda favoritism has gotten on my last nerve. :kwasny:

We all know that if she does not go home this week, but America does not get to pick MVP next week - BB is secretly manipulating the game for her to win. After seeing them try to change her image with that sad, sorry puppet crap in the Diary room on Sunday

Hmmmm. While I'm not so naive to believe there isn't some production manipulation going on, if Amanda was really the chosen one and being protected, why even let her go up on the block and risk it? I mean there was no running tally on CBS showing how America was voting for the MVP nominee so couldn't production just have put up whoever was next in line?

the week before there were so many people calling BS when they put up GM when so many had voted for Amanda... There was no way out of it.

Don't worry about Spencer having a jobwhen he gets out. He's a union man protected by a collective bargining agreement.
