CBS's Locusts

There may have been a stupider TV film this season. But if there was, I'm glad I didn't see it. "Locusts" will suffice. Airing 9 p.m. EDT Sunday on CBS, "Locusts" is allegedly a thriller starring Lucy Lawless (late of "Xena: Warrior Princess") as a sexy U.S. undersecretary of agriculture.

Want more?

A recognized "voracious-insect expert," Maddy Rierdon (Lawless) is forced to do battle with a deadly breed of bio-engineered locusts that no known pesticide can stop, after they are accidentally set loose on the landscape. By the millions, they gobble the world's food supply, not to mention wreaking havoc on planes and cars. (YOU try navigating through one of these black, buzzing blizzards!) Then the critters turn carnivorous.

And in the midst of this global crisis, Maddy is trying to patch things up with her husband (Dylan Neal), from whom she is separated
