TV_Paige Posted August 24, 2010 Share Posted August 24, 2010 Actress/Comedienne Nancy DolmanNancy DolmanLOS ANGELES, California -- Actress/Comedienne Nancy Dolman, the wife of Actor/Comedian Martin Short, died the morning of Saturday, August 21, at the couple's Pacific Palisades home, his manager confirmed. She was 58.The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a medical emergency at the home at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, August 21, Radar Online first reported. No cause of death was given by Short's manager, Marc Gurvitz. He had no further comment or any additional details. Short, best known for his comedic roles on "Saturday Night Live" and in the "Father of the Bride" franchise, married Dolman in 1980 after the pair met in 1972 while working together in a production of "Godspell."Dolman also once had a comedic acting career, appearing in a recurring role in episodes of the classic cult sitcom, "Soap" in the early 1980s along with the couples longtime friend, Actor/Comedian Billy Crystal.Short is currently nominated for an Emmy Award for his work in "Damages." Short is up for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama against Aaron Paul for "Breaking Bad," Terry O'Quinn for "Lost," Michael Emerson for "Lost" and John Slattery for "Mad Men."Dolman is survived by her husband of 30 years, Martin Short and their three children, one daughter, Katherine, 27 and two sons, Oliver, 24 and Henry, 20.
