Xal
I only started watching Season 6 so I know at least from 6 on that has never happened, but what about seasons 2 - 5? If not, this could be the first season where one group controls the entire season from start to finish.
King123
Never.. they always lose power at some point.. nobody has ever compeltly dominated.. And I dont think it will happen this year either... i beleive in ALLSTARS, the SOVS won the first 3 HOH'S, But none of them ended up winning the season.. so I still have hope. Xal
Incidentally, here are the average ratings per episode so far. Through 7 episodes BB8: 6.64 million 2.5 BB9: 6.15 million 2.3 BB11: 6.15 million 2.0 BB10: 6.09 million 2.1 You'll notice every season from BB8 - BB10 beats BB11 in share and BB11 only beats BB10 in pure numbers. It has dropped like a rock since the first few episodes and the only reason I can think for this is that the athletes keep winning and average viewers (even some diehards) are tuning out. I expect the number to drop even more if athletes win yet again this Thursday (or heaven forbid Ronnie wins HoH again).
Mcconn476
I agree, I can not recall one group dominating the whole season and I have watched from season 1. Usually, I am rooting for an underdog and they finally get some power later in the season.
straykat
In other seasons, they didn't have this huge advantage from day one for one group. And there wasn't a returning HG that seems to have had a show made for him to dominate. If the next HOH comp is endurance, who will that favor? Natalie the most and then Chima since they are small and lightweight.
King123
all it takes is for one of the dumb5 (proabably about to be dumb3) to win the next HOH, and then the entire house will change... the NBK will flop (Im guessing Lydia and Kevin will.. Possibly russell cause he doesnt even like his group, OR Ronnie) And then we will have a even house again.. I dont see a Season6 here.. Right now its divided.. BUT its divided 7-4 (season 6 it was pretty much even).. so I think people will flip.. especially when Lydia cant even trust Jessie and she gave him a HJ. uvp
In other seasons, they didn't have this huge advantage from day one for one group. i thought season 7 bb6 had a huge advantage being they were only season given 4 hg to participate . imho the limit should have been two from each season. King123
---------- ---------- In other seasons, they didn't have this huge advantage from day one for one group. They won the first 3 HOH's... Allstars the sovs won the first 3 HOH's.. so it seems pretty much the same here.. and in Allstars, season 6 dominated the house... Jannelle, Kaysar, Howie, James were all from the same season.. OmegaBetaZeta
The Libra gang dominated last season until week 5 when they all turned on each other. Then the Memphis/Dan/Keesha/Renny alliance dominated till final 5. I think Gnatalie will win endurance next week. She said she wants Lydiot out so we may see another divide next week. brainshart
On prior seasons it wasn't stacked from the start in one alliances favor. This time, the Athletes had one extra member to start after winning an HOH geared stronger people. They got to draw first blood towards weakening another group by one while being up by one, have an extra vote, an extra name in the POV bag. The have also been eating real food and sleeping in real beds since day one. They might lose power for a week or two, but it's going to be Athletes in the finals thanks to Alison Grodner, who is more interested in crazy antics than a genuine gameshow. kiddyhouse
Maybe part of Jessie's contract to com back on the show, was more air time. So they are giving him as much as they can now, so later the cameras can ignore him or are hoping he leaves and want to get the X amount of air time in. CBS & Showtime don't want to air conversations about other networks' TV shows, copyrighted music, or even conversations about movies. Even if they're talking about parent company movies/music/shows, the editors just play it safe and switch to another part of the house.
Cali
this season has become hard to take. Couldn't stand jesse last year and that hasn't changed. Had enough of Lydia and her "sexual favors", gnat's mouth and chima's "laugh". On the bright side I am not wasting my life watching tv. I fast forward through most of BBAD. I hope at some point this season can redeem itself but at this point it is not looking good!
TML
If there were any two people who dominated the game I would have to say Danielle and Jason. They were never on the block. Neither of them won, but remember during those seasons the Diary Rooms were availible to the previous houseguests so that probably swayed their decision. I know for a fact that there are times the houseguests say things, just so it can't be shown... I've talked to past houseguests about it a lot... They do it to make the producers mad... If I sat and thought really hard, I doubt if I could have found a better way to kill the show. They bring back the one player that nobody could stand, America voted him out did they not. Hello? Then they set him up with a huge advantage right off the bat. Add the forced alliances, anyone who thought season 9 was awesome raise your hand. Oh but wait, we get to vote on what the have nots will eat. Wow I'm sure wearing out my thumb dialing in for that one.
brainshart
stagehand, never really thought about that. America DID vote him out. Bringing him back is an insult to the hardcore viewers. And now all we get to vote on is novelty food items for people to eat and get like 30 seconds of footage of it on TV followed by another poll for more stupid food items. This show totally lost it's focus because most of the creative thinking is wasted on goofy competitions and lame twists. Backdooring every week, a guy in a banana suit (yeah...real funny), the juvenile high school cliques theme. I can't even admit I watch this show anymore without getting laughed at.
