After seeing the kids at the adoption home, Uchenna and joyce mentioned how these kids needed homes. I was glad to hear it. I would love to see them win and adopt a few kids from here. I like them and hope the best for them.

I understand their pain - it took me forever to have my son. Adoption is a wonderful thing. I hope they do consider it.

I was so touched by seeing all those orphaned children, but they looked healthy and happy....:) So unlike how I depict orphanage's to look in a 3rd world country....it was very touching though.

Having spent over a year visiting a fertility specialist and finally getting pregnant (baby boy due in June). I feel for them and know what they are going through. I hope they some day have a child of their own. In the meanwhile I hope they do adopt, they seem like they have alot of love to give.

Thanks for reminding me about them wanting a child, I remember at the orphange them speaking possibly even about adoption. But I do hope like you said that a doctor or an orginazation jumps in to help them realize their dreams of being parents, they sure seem like they have a lot of love to share, and wouldn't it be great if they were to adopt and have a child naturally as well.

IMHO its just sad that there are so many people that have kids that dont want them or dont treat them well, and then you see a couple like U&J who would so obviously be wonderful parents and have such a strong desire to take on that responsibility.

I would hope a doc would see a chance to help them and pick up some free publicity. I would think that would be worth almost as much as what they would pay. Or maybe cbs could use them in a story on one of there news shows (I think like 48 hours, 20/20 is on abc but that type of show) and pay for everything.

I think if there is one thing that Romber illustrates is that for the people who like reality tv we get attached to these folks and there is an interest in seeing what happens to them next. After the race, regardless of the outcome, I would love to see what happens with U&J.

if they decide thats what they want then that would be great too. i dont have children so I cant really speak to that. It wouldnt matter to me if a child was adopted but for some people that is really important.

But i think even with adoption, it can be expensive and/or a long wait.

That depends I think -- if you open your heart and home to an older child rather than restricting the adoption to a newborn, I beleive it can go relatively fast. (Well faster than a pregnancy anyway.) And as far as expense? Well let me tell you -- kids are really expensive!

Adoption isn't cheap monetarily or emotionally. I know from experience. My husband and I are in the middle of trying to adopt. And I'm sure Joyce was thinking about the child she wanted when they were shaving her head. I know I would've been.

Good luck Blue Rose, I hope it works out for you.

And yes, I kind of expected that no matter what the age of the child there are always lots of expenses. Whenever government agencies are involved, its always an expensive proposition -- lawyers, bureaucrats etc. all get paid for their involvement.
