This is a partial nominations list for The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, Inc. 51st Annual Grammy Awards. Awards will be presented at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 8, 2009 and broadcast live on CBS at 8 p.m. Awards go to recordings released during the Eligibility Year October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2008.

Most unexpected but pleasant surprise of the night for me:

Best Rock Performance by Duo Or Group With Vocals: Kings of Leon for "Sex On Fire"

Then beat out AC/DC, Coldplay, Eagles and Radiohead in this category. Congratulations. . . way to go guys!
