uvp Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 do blondes get paid more? are they more valuable in the ecosystem? i never understood why folks were so gun-ho to be blondes jmho
LenRay Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 I think when a younger woman moves to Calif. she is required to go blonde, especially if she has blue eyes.
vesper Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 I don't know, but they get more attention. I used to have blonde issues. My Mom & sisters are all blonde and me & my brother are brunette. I am over it now, but when I was younger in teens it did bother me.
LenRay Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 I always preferred Brunettes. Most natural blondes turn light brown by adult hood. Actually, blonde madness began in 1931 when Jean Harlow became the world's first blonde bombshell. Just watch any movie from 1932-1936. 99% of actresses are bleached blondes. Even Lana Turner, a young redhead, began bleaching her hair (I prefer redheads to blondes, btw). But in the 1950s Marilyn Monroe blondes an American way of life.
CeCiMom Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 uvp, That's the longest post I've seen from you in at least 3 years.
uvp Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 might not be best sentence structure etc... but i dont care i like to get to the point as short as possible long post arent meant for messages boards jmho
vesper Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Well, thanks Lenray. I prefer my hair color too. Very secure now with all of the crap, but its funny because it really bothered me when I was a teen and they all had blonde hair blue eyes, and I was the only daughter that was a brunette w/blue eyes. The facts remain that looks and hair color are always going to be the forefront of a woman's appearance.
TVwatcher Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 I didn't realize it was that way for brunettes too.. but i can see how it would be an issue for you growing up with blondes all around you. Me... I am a redhead, and i remember growing up.. and even NOW.. everyone comments about your hair.. when i was 10 i wanted to dye it black or brown so people would stop staring at me all the time.. LOL now.. i love it... (just turned 37)
LenRay Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 America's eternal blonde craze began with these two women...Jean Harlow (right) and Marilyn Monroe.....(and we get April, Keesha, Jessica, Dani...)
Marty Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Watcher you have big floopy ears and a cotton tail too. <----- natural blonde with brown eyes
TVwatcher Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 LOL.... hops away <----- natural redhead with brown eyes... an oddity for sure
LenRay Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 I think Redheads with green/brown eyes are especially hot!!!
vesper Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 If Dan gets to F2, he will win by his speech, plus his game play IMO. That's if he get there. I am still gonna wait on that, because if I were Dan and Memphis being adamant of keeping Jerry had to have him wondering.
TVwatcher Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 I was hoping he decided to get jerry OUT... and if he doesn't.. i hope dan or jerry wins.. jerry would deserve it if they keep him in... haha
Shipp Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Is it true "Blondes have more fun"? Thinking, not so much in the BB house.
sonoerin Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 I was blonde as a kid! Light brown as a young adult! Now, as a <ahem> slightly more mature Dad & Granddad, I'm just grateful to have some hair to be gray!
Shipp Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Grey hair - very distinguished. Oh wait, then there's Jerry, lol.
King123 Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 i agree.. uvp.. i dont ever read really long posts..
sonoerin Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Well, I DO have more hair than Ol' Jerry! Hopefully the recede is on hold....LOLOL I've not written too many posts this evening due to all the hatin' going on. Not much discussion really! We're all a little like Jerry in that we continue to run all the scenarios backwards and forwards. We pull for our favorite and boo the rest! I for one am just darned excited to see this conclusion. I expect a few more fights, a little more bloodletting so to speak, and a great ending to a season that in spite of it's flaws has kept me riveted and refreshed my love for this stupid show I trust you're all going to enjoy the ending, no matter the outcome, as much as I will! Slainte
Shipp Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Hair is highly over rated. Being in the biz I'm in (for years) I hate hair. Buzz cuts for everyone I tell ya Salude
Shipp Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Sono - I've noticed the "hate" today too. What the?
