Greatest American Dog

Recommended Posts

Greatest American Dog Thursdays, 8pm et/pt

Twelve extraordinary teams of dogs and owners from across the nation from "pageant dogs" to those simply trained at home, will live together and compete against each other in challenges that put the owners' ability to train their dogs to the test. Each week, the judges will eliminate one dog and their owner. The last remaining team will walk away with a $250,000 cash prize and the title of GREATEST AMERICAN DOG.

Distinguished canine critics Wendy Diamond, Allan Reznik and Victoria Stilwell are the three judges with Jarod Miller hosting.

The premiere of Greatest American Dog was a bigger hit than even CBS hoped it would be. Not only did humans love it, but their masters

Anybody watching this show? 2nd show airing tonight.

I felt so sorry for Ezzie and his owner being the first one 'evicted' last week. Poor Ezzie got a little stage fright and got eliminated for it.

The dog who has to wear clothes matching her owner's outfit really needs to go. Really don't like that pair. She had a parka on that dog in the heat of the day! shame shame. She says she thinks her dog is naked if not in clothing. sheesh. I love dogs, but that's going a little too far.

Believe it or not . . . this is one of my guilty pleasures this summer. I was so glad to finally see Bella Starlet and her annoying owner, Beth Joy Knutsen leave this past week! Go Bill and Star! I'm also partial to Leroy and his owner, Teresa as well as Presley and his cutie patootie owner, Travis. My pick to go home this week is Andrew and his owner, Laurie.

I'm so glad Presley won! We have boxers too and they are the greatest dogs- so loving, rambunctious and loyal.

I was glad Presley won - he was such a cutie. The week before when he was up for elimination, it just cracked me up the way he turned his head and put it on Travis like he was trying to hide his face. LOVE that dog - I'd bring him home with me tomorrow (but don't tell my current dogs).

Presley is an adorable dog, but performance wise. . . Galaxy blew him away in the challenges. If the panel was just looking for a cute dog (and owner) to put on a poster, why bother making everyone go through those ridiculous challenges? It seemed to me they were making excuses for Presley because they wanted him to win all along.

So much for REAL reality tv.

LOL, the winner of this show (the human) has an IMDB page. Was it ever mentioned that Travis was an actor? What did they say his occupation was? I guess I could search, but does anybody know?

Predetermined that he was to be the winner? Things that make you go hmmmmmm...

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but often, I choose to be blissfully naive about these things. B)
