REZEVILGB13 Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Will won the game without veto's , being nominated 3 times , having EVERYONE watch your diary rooms, having flying banners everyday, etc. And the diversity of the group was very awesome. Maybe it was the fact that they were all older than 25. If you look at the Big Brother today it really makes me sad. All about twists and family members g/f b/fs being in the house together. Guys yelling at woman and woman only. In Big Brother 2 everyone fought with everyone. In todays Big Brother all you see is Men yelling and verbally abusing woman. I mean I'm watching Big Brother 2 right now and I have to say it is better than season 8 and 9 combined. Anyone else agree ? (I still love Big Brother and will watch 10 I just question Alison grodner and her saying "this is the most outragous cast yet" Please stop casting people that are REAL WORLD rejects. She did say that older people are playing the game better but that still means they'll only be 1 and the rest will be 21 year olds. I'm 21 and I don't even want to watch them play the game.
TwinCity Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I don't .. i loved Season 8 ... hated 9.. I think the lack of IQ, nasty mind-sets, and personalities as well as the lack of maturity hurt BB9 a lot.
Nodoubt575 Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 2 was a great season, 9 has a bad wrap...it was actually really entertaining until Team Pink started to get destroyed. I still have to say 6 or 3 is my favorite.
laladoopiedu Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 BB5 is my favorite. I liked the twists, but even twists aside, the whole. I thought was just great.
smassadi Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 2 thru 5 are my favorites, I also liked 9 and hated 8
DreamAngel Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 I think the majority of people would agree that 6 would be their favorite. I know it's mine. Not everyone would agree but a great majority.
King123 Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 6 is my #2.. very close. i think thats the reason they have been doing people who know each other, cause that season was such a hit..
Daisyflower Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 I started re-watching season 6 last night. It was one of the better ones, although the house decor was atrocious!
MissyA Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Season 2 is my favorite and next would be 4, 6, & 8 in that order.
GingerSnaps Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 My favorite would probably be 2, since that is when I started watching. I have a soft spot for Season 6 - the season I joined Morty's. That season and this board are quite memorable. Ha Ha Ha!!!!
Moose Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 For me, I liked the seasons 1-6. After that BBUS just went downhill, with each season progressively getting worse. I've written something about BB US at another location, and here it is: My excitement level is not very high since I'm sure that Big Brother will be the same, having poor content and contestants without high moral standards. I'd tune in at the beginning, but this year for sure, will tune out if the majority of content is that of the usual, expected sunbathing, strategyzing and just plain ol' being mean to one another. I've been viewing Big Brother Australia, and it turns out it is great entertainment. I'd like to share what I like about Australia's Big Brother. I like it much better than the U.S. Big Brother. In Australia, the Housematess are to do a daily task for the week which adds up to getting food at the end of the week. These daily tasks are entertaining to watch, sometimes downright hilarious, and creates a teamwork atmosphere. Watching them praactice their dance routines all week (waltz, hip hop, disco), and playing cricket was great. I hate the U.S. HouseGuests where they usually just lie around basking in the sun, and strategyzing all day. It's tiresome, I hate watching all the backbiting, and it is not entertaining in the least. Sure, they have contests for food... but it's just for a few hours--if that! All week long contests are fun for viewing, and breaks down the boredom for HGs. In the Australian version, they are not allowed to strategize unless directed by BB and it must only be in a special room. Plus the voting is much different than in the USA. The BBau is so much more fair in their competitions. For example, putting on bunny suits with huge heads. Hard for them to see, hard for them to manipulate, but it doesn't take strength. While dressed as bunnies, they had to collect more carrot juice than the other team. The team players get whittled down with various other contests until only one person emerges victorious. So much fun. So entertaining. So much more fair than the USA version where strength matters for the most part. I want to see a wide range of ages in USA version (I live in the USA) and I want the competitions to be fair for all of them. ALL of them... do you hear that USA BB? Some of the rules: Australia's housemates may not threaten or act violently towards any other Housemate. Housemates may not bully or intimidate other Housemates because of their gender or sexual preferences or any other reason. Every Housemate must take all care to ensure that any sexual attention is invited and that consent to any sexual contact is mutual and informed. Housemates must not knowingly defame or vilify any individual or group. I vote a hundred-fold for the USA Big Brother to adopt these rules. There's plenty of bullying and intimidating going on in the world... I don't want to view it on a game show--especially from a country like USA. It is not entertaining to watch the bullying that goes on with the USA HouseGuests. And the spitting! Ewww makes me shiver with thinking how folks are walking on it--sometimes barefoot. The sluttiness that takes part in the USA house is so uncalled for. There are other situations that prove Australia's Big Brother is much more entertaining than the U.S.A. Big Brother, but I believe more and more folks have been watching it and finding that out. Another rule in Australia BB--Anyone found in breech of the guidelines will (at BB's discretion) incur a Strike against them (after 3 strikes, they are evicted from the house). If they willfully disobey the guidelines they will be taken out of the house. Personally I think they should HAVE ONLY ONE STRIKE and if it happens again, they are booted. Cussing offenders will incur warnings about their language. If they ignore the warnings and make no attempt to stop their swearing, they will be taken out of the house.' I include the above here so I can say this... DO YOU HEAR THAT BBUSA? DO YOU HEAR THAT! Please do similar to USA Big Brother and bring some quality to the USA Big Brother. So........ I will watch it for the first 2 weeks, but if it's as lousy as it has been for the past few years, you can count me as a non-viewer--ever. Anything before Season 7 was decent, but still could have been worked on. Try harder Grodner.
wickedclownoj Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 sorry guy but i like the lieing, the sex, the backstabing screw that having morals bs. australia bb sounds really freakin boring. lets leave it to the foreign snobs
GingerSnaps Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 The game would be nothing without the lieing, cheating and backstabbing. It's the verbal and physical assaults that have no place in the house. JMHO.
nemille Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I want the lying and backstabbing but I get so tired of them having nothing to do all day but lie around. I do like the idea of having daily challenges.
MissyA Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I want them to have to work every day to get food or washing their clothes by hand like they did in the beginning. They have too much time to do nothing except sleep which is another thing they need to change. Wake them up, puhleeease.
lena Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I want them to have to work every day to get food or washing their clothes by hand like they did in the beginning. They have too much time to do nothing except sleep which is another thing they need to change. Wake them up, puhleeease. fish.gif X2! The HG have it waaaaaaaaaay to easy the past few seasons. I think they should have to work for luxuries and basic amenities (washer/dryer...heck even a clock) like in the early seasons.
GingerSnaps Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I've been saying this for years now. Also, they all expect luxury comps (designer clothes..etc) but they should earn it and not be chosen for it-if they should have it at all. Of course, if they have to work on the show instead of sitting around yapping about crap as if on a paid vacation, I do think they should increase the prize money. I wouldn't scrub my clothes everyday on a washboard in hopes to win only $500,000 at the end of the competition. Not to mention having to spend 3 months with a bunch of loonies.
GingerSnaps Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 In fact, I would set it up like a prison system. Only bread and water, the good food has to be won/earned.
carmen Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Will won the game without veto's , being nominated 3 times , having EVERYONE watch your diary rooms, having flying banners everyday, etc. I so agree that season 2 is the best and will always be the best. Loved every minute of it. Old-school BB just can't be beat. But I still watch every season, even after the un-watchable season 8.
