"Dancing With the Stars" finalist Mario Lopez is taking the skills he learned on the reality show to the stage. The former child star will join the Broadway revival of the musical, "A Chorus Line."

Lopez will play the non-singing part of Zach, the role of a director in the show-within-a-show. He'll still need to be nimble on his feet, however, to show his hoofers what to do. Lopez will kick off his run at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on April 15, running through till September 7.

"Every actor dreams about appearing on a Broadway stage," says Lopez in a statement. "I have as well, and have been searching for the right time and opportunity. 'A Chorus Line' is a legendary musical, and I am so honored to have been chosen to join the amazing cast and be a part of the Broadway family."

Lopez broke out as A.C. Slater in the cult teen sitcom, "Saved by the Bell." His last film project was the light-hearted romantic comedy, "Husband For Hire." He's currently hosting MTV's "America's Best Dance Crew."
