[...] In episode eight, fans will find out what happened "Four Months Ago." [...] "For the returning fans, episode eight fills in the gaps," said [co-executive producer and writer] Loeb. "Hopefully, by that time, everyone will be into this mystery. When we get to the middle of November, everyone will be completely filled in and we'll move forward." Source: Yahoo!

"There's going to be an interesting channel of communication," said James Kyson Lee , who plays Ando. "I can't reveal what, but it's going to be such a great way of storytelling. What happens in one timeline may affect the other. For Ando, I think you'll see him spending more time at Yamagato. Does he want to stay there? Probably not, after experiencing all that he did in season one." [...] Hiro won't be the only one hopping through time. The first episode, titled "Four Months Later," will time-shift the entire story line. [...] One of the mysteries will be in the form of a new character, Maya, portrayed by Dania Ramirez. Maya is a super-powered Dominican on the run from the law with her twin brother. As for her special ability, Ramirez said viewers will have to wait until the show's Sept. 24 premiere. [...] "She's going north, Ramirez said coyly. "There's a lot of injustices she encounters in her journey up north. She's trying to get to the U.S. to figure out or find out what's happening to her. I can't tell you what it is, but it's cool. It's really cool."

  • 10/21 - Addressing the matter of Matt Parkman's apparent life upheaval since the Season 1 finale, [Tim] Kring says, "There is clearly a mystery now - but there won't be in the next couple of episodes - as to what happened in the four months that passed. Clearly he went from a man whose wife was pregnant and who was living in L.A. to a man who's living in New York and no longer with his wife. Something happened in that intervening time - and we will find out about it." Source: TV Guide Online

Episode 2.08: Four Months Ago

Airdate: November 12, 2007

  • 10/30 - In episode 8, which flashes back four months, just wait till you see how sadistic our darling Kristen Bell can be as she gleefully zaps and zings Peter. Oh, and FYI, their lips might kinda sorta meet. [...] You know that creeptastic burned dude Mr. Petrelli keeps seeing in the mirror? Sources confirm to me that's most definitely Nathan just a few months back, and the reason he looks so good is that [...] there's a cool new "cure" of sorts that could do a whole lotta people some good-including Nathan and, I don't know, perhaps Isaac and D.L. and Simone and Daddy Suresh, to name a few. Source: Kristin on E!Online
  • 10/29 - When the clock turns back four months for all of the Heroes, Nathan pays a terrible cost for his heroic actions. While Peter survives his detonation over New York City, the Company "bags" him as a threat to the world, eventually leading to violent confrontation with Elle and the Haitian. D.L. makes the ultimate sacrifice for Niki and Micah. Maya horrifically manifests her dark powers for the first time, driving her and Alejandro to America for help. A mysterious, yet familiar face is introduced. David Anders, Jack Coleman, Dana Davis, Greg Grunberg, James Kyson Lee, Zachary Quinto, Sendhil Ramamurthy also star. Carlon Jeffery, Nichelle Nichols and Stephen Tobolowsky guest star. Source: NBC

Episode 2.08: Four Months Ago

Airdate: November 12, 2007

  • 11/11 - There are a lot of [mytsteries] on Heroes, but some big ones will be solved in the November 12 episode, "Four Months Ago." That's when we finally see what happened after Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) and Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) flew up in the sky and went nuclear in last May's season finale. "We find out how they both survived the explosion," says coexecutive producer Jeph Loab. "We also learn how Peter wound up half-naked with amnesia in a box in Ireland and why Nathan -- who keeps seeing his post-radiation monster face in the mirror -- now looks normal." Will the boozing, guilt-racked Natahn, who has abandoned his hopes for the White House, ever get his act together? "He's been through the proverbial fire and paid a terrible price, but this could strenghten his political backbone," Pasdar says. "When all the plot pieces come together, I think there will be empathy for Nathan." Also revealed in that flashback hour: How D.L. (Leonard Roberts) actually died -- turns out he wasn't killed by Linderman's bullet -- and why Niki (Ali Larter) really made that call to the Company asking for a cure. "We've been led to believe she has the virus," Kring notes, "but we also raise a question about her multiple-personality disorder. Will it return in the form of another personality?" Plus viewers will witness the horrific mass slaughter at a wedding -- filmed with 120 extras -- that forced twins Maya (Dania Ramirez) and Alejandro (Shalim Ortiz) to go on the lam. Source: TV Guide
  • 11/11 - [Elle and Peter kiss.] We also learn that D.L. did not die when we thought he did but rather indirectly at the hands of Niki's new alter ego: a naughty school girl. Source: Kristin on E!Online

TOP TEN THINGS WE LEARNED FROM THIS EPISODE

Source: Kristin at EOnline

1. Elle is a sociopath with a massive schoolgirl crush on Peter, and she has some seriously fabulous outfits. (Maybe she just needs to get out more?)

2. On that fateful (first-season finale) night, Peter said he was using "everything within [his] power not to explode" over the New York skyline. So, now we finally know why Nathan had to get all ballsy and fly away with him

I'm so late at writing my thoughts on this episode due to a busy work schedule, but here it goes in a nutshell:

1. David Anders and Kristen Bell are breathing new life into Heroes!

2. The D.L. "quick let's kill him off" storyline has got to be the worst piece of writing I've seen on the show! Don't get me wrong, I love the show, but c'mon- D.L. as a fire fighter? That is just too implausible that he would even get hired. But even if he did, he wouldn't have healed from his bullet wound and gone through the hiring and training process in enough time to become a firefighter out in the field. Pretty lame and only to make a point that he really was a hero? C'mon. And then to chase Gina/niki/jessica down to a seedy nightclub only to get shot and die? Ridiculous.

3. Peter is going to be the ABSOLUTE force to be reckoned with in this show...and I LOVE IT! Now if he can just figure out that he's being manipulated by several different people...

4. I just had a weird thought when watching this show (no spoiler, only my thought)...could Bob and Mr. Bennet be brothers?

5. Whose side is The Haitian on anyway? He gets more mysterious with each episode.

I have to totally agree. I know a while back it was reported that there were two people that could NOT stand working together. I suspect it was these two and he got the short straw. Shame it wasn't her... :disgust:

I love Peter on this show (and Milo Ventimiglia playing him - I think he does a great job). I'm so glad they didn't kill him off. I don't think I could have watched anymore!
